I am using teammate for preparing audit programs for my internal audit engagements. This is the best software I have ever used for audit documentation purpose. It gives me real time updating facility and even my seniors can review work/ documents immediately after I update them. I recommend every auditing firm or company to get this software to make your documentation monitoring strong.

Nachteile

Sometimes I faced this issue that after opening a attached document, viewing it and then closing it. If I try to open another document attachment of same type, then it displays an error that previous file is still open and I need to close it, however, I have already closed it. Please fix this issue.

Nachteile

- The inability to "hide" changes to the global hierarchy so they do not appear in future risk assessments. We refresh our risk assessment annually which includes the adding or removing of auditable units.
- The lack of reports automatically available. Those that are available are subpar.
- The user guide is significantly lacking with regards to rolling the risk assessment and moving incomplete audit projects forward.
- No good place to insert procedure guidance - if link to the procedure, then the guidance requires sign-off each time. We are currently maintaining the guidance outside of TM+ which is not ideal.
- When you deactivate a user - the user disappears from the access screen rather than remaining with the status stated as deactivated.
- Coaching notes lack formatting capabilities.

Nachteile

- Inflexibility to customize the TM Insight reports and dashboards to stakeholders needs
- Weak risk assessment functionalities e.g. non linking of strategic and process risks/scoring, no option to include additional factors (e.g. time since last audit, executive management concerns etc.) to be included in the total risk score
- Changes in audit report are not reflected back to the project automatically.
- Its a formatting nightmare to extract audit report from TM+ and needs a lot of work to fix it.
- Follow-up process and workflows require improvements.
- Multiple bugs and issues which are always mentioned by support that tit will be fixed in next upgrade.

We had one overdue unresolved issue related to "Failure of the Consolidated Email Notifications" being sent by the TM Application. This issue was raised in the initial setup phase (done by TM Technical team in Feb'2024). Although it has been almost a year but this support ticket has not been resolved by the TM Support team.

We moved from an Excel based AMS to TeamMate - liked the structure, data recording and consistent application of our procedures across all audit teams globally. It is also good to see the developments and improvements to the software over the last 5 years.

Nachteile

Audit Reporting Feature - 5 years later since Go-Live we still do not use this feature as alot of rework is required. Especially with Tables, Formatting, Alignment.

The customization process. My team and I were able to change field names which helped out a lot.

Maybe this is just our organization, but users can't upload an audit program from an Excel file directly into a single project. Most of our audit programs are tailored to a specific project and therefore we need to adjust them manually in Excel each time to present to our management team for approval. Then we have to get our admins to upload the program into TeamStore so that we can import it. It would be great if we could ad-hoc upload an Excel file for each project without going through TeamStore. Also, sometimes the linkage between coaching notes and issues to the procedures is not very clear. Especially when you get an email notification - there is no mention of the procedure that they are linked to.

Nachteile

The green saved icon display quickly. One will not know if it has saved or not. The green saved icon appearing time can be elongated. And there is a need to make it more visible too.

Being a TeamMate AM user it was fairly easy to transition to TeamMate+. The concepts were the same so we understood the framework that was used to develop and modernize the software. This made it much easier for our small team to pick up learning TM+ versus starting completely from scratch with a new vendor.

Nachteile

TeamMate+ is not done being built. Of course one is never done, but some basic functionality that existed in TeamMate AM is not yet available in TeamMate+. This is frustrating as some of that functionality was used by our team and now we have to wait to see if and when it will be added. Due to these items not being explicitly defined it has taken us a while to identify all of them and causes delays as we figure out acceptable workarounds.

some features are a little burdensome and time consuming like entering users for preparation and review, instead of being able to enter the preparer for all-in-one click.

I like that all "suites" are located in the same place. With AM in the past, admins needed to log into multiple areas to accomplish work. The product has all the desired features including some that we had previously but never could get to work. The report writer seems much more user friendly.

Nachteile

The number of roles that have been created, they seem overly confusing. Lack of sandbox or non-production held back learning and testing the tool upfront. I also wish that the workpaper codes were extracted when downloading workpapers. A feature to archive projects would beneficial in the future.

It does the job in enabling audit working papers to be set up and recorded.

Presentation of the product is looking dated relative to latest generation products - it is relatively inflexible and timeconsuming to record the audit in TM+. The Multiple windows and tabs on each window over-complicate the product, making "agile" recording almost impossible.

I enjoy how easy it feels to navigate the tool. There is not a huge learning curve!

The sign off feature could be improved. For example, if something is signed off both at the preparer and then the reviewer level, and then someone goes ahead and makes a slight change - or even better, simply saving it over again without a change - the item is flagged. It might be great for version controls but is annoying to have to deal with this even when things weren't changed.

Teammate has an intuitive user interface. It is easy to navigate around and was customizable which allowed us to use our own taxonomy.

We had several errors that were hard to work around when implementing the software. It also seems like the software is still in progress and did not have all of the features fully developed that we originally thought that it would have.

I like that I am able to have everything I need in one place - key information, reporting functionality, testing/documentation, ability to store documents and share files/folders with others, import excel files for shared editable spreadsheets, control over who has access to various areas or reports our team shares.

Nachteile

Some functionality around documenting in the test forms can be difficult or inconvenient - for example, with the feature to now edit in word/excel, any changes made to the document throws off any tick marks/boxes in the workpaper making it more difficult to make changes that way.
Also, for reports that I have created, if help is needed from the support team and they add in any columns/make adjustments, I lose the ability to make any edits to the report.

The TeamMaate + can be used by multiple users at a time. This feature is best for my team since most of our engagements are in a group set up.

Nachteile

We have some features that are not being used, possibly because we cannot configure them or align them in the way we need. We spent time addressing this during the transition.

I like the features of linking between different documents in the same project. Also being able to store exceptions or notes from prior audits into the teammate store, for ease of access and reference.

The new feature on the side that shows a brief summary of the progress when you open the project is not helpful and very annoying. Often times the linking or opening of workbooks do not work or times out. I've been having a long term issue of the link pasting, pasting links copied from prior. Ending up with 4 links pasted in a document, when I only wanted the most current one.

It has a steep learning curve. It requires training to fully understand and use all of the features effectively.

I really like that it is a very user friendly program. It offers very nice organization and a layout that just makes logical sense. Given these qualities it makes organizing and maintaining audit files that much easier.

The one thing that I did not like about TeamMate is the trouble I have had with the check in/checkout feature. Various instances, I have had TeamMate not respond to button clicks for checking out or checking in. Additionally, I have had issues where I edit a document, check in that document, and the check in does not register despite TeamMate telling me it did. Therefore, next time I log in, my work is not updated and I lost all progress.

The customization of the backend to be able to make it work with our reporting and the support staff are very responsive and helpful.

Nachteile

As a user, the structure and format take a bit of time to get used to navigating. Secondly the bugs, for example. there's been different issues we've experienced with the teammate integration getting stuck so it can't open documents or check in which was causing lost work.
