this was one of the first website builders i had used. i found out about it when i registered a domain on GoDaddy and saw that a free small website came with the registration. the tool is very easy to use and has many features. i only generated a five page site, but i had it up and running in a few minutes.

Nachteile

sometimes it does things for you that you don't want it to do. because of this, i sometimes had to go back and restore things to the way they were. it is not always a good thing for the software to think for you and do things without asking, or giving you a way to automatically undo what it just did.

It has a very good interface in which it facilitates the construction of web pages where you have professional themes in which they will make your website professional as well.

Nachteile

It limits you a lot in terms of building your page since you have to select the topics that it offers, sometimes it becomes tedious when inserting content and updating content.

It can be stressful starting a new business and Go Daddy customer service reps were very patient and helpful. They walked me through picking my domain and setting up my email. The prices paid also seemed very reasonable in comparison to other companies that I researched.

It was a little confusing to figure out the different versions of things that they offered but their customer service reps were a big help.

What makes this software great is that even if you are not a tech genius you can still build a great website that looks professional while maintaining creative control and allowing your personal style to shine. It makes building a website fun and easy. It's easy to add and remove sections from your site and it has easy to use templates and stock images. Adding your own images is easy with the drag-and-drop feature. the auto-save feature is great so you don't lose your work. Publishing the site takes only minutes and there is a lot of great advice about marketing. It has a blog included in the plan that I got with a free trail.

Nachteile

I felt like some of the features could have been explained a little bit better in an easier to find location. Navigating the site was not as intuitive as it could be for a general lay person. I would like to see an index of help features on every page that was more in-depth.

I am using GoDaddy to register domain names for both my personal business, and for several different sites at my past job. I rarely have an issue with the site being down and find the mobile layout to have improved over the last few years. Also, since so many people look at websites on-the-go, it was important for me that my website maintained a great look even on a mobile device, GoDaddy definitely comes through on that.

Every time I renew, I find it getting more and more costly. I do not believe they have a month-to-month payment option like many other web hosting services have. Also, beware of the auto-renew, as they renew without giving you much warning.

While the platform and the service is expanding to offer more fuctionalities to its not so tech savy users, GoDaddy tries to be the swiss army, jack of all trades but master of none of the website managing world. I guess it is good enough for the casual user.

I have used prior Go Daddy products and the Website Tonight was great but this new Website Builder promoted additional benefits that I thought would be helpful but I never got a chance to use them

So hard to use! Not user-friendly, very difficult to add or remove content, couldn't manage areas and/or text boxes...really horrible. I actually had a rep. at Go Daddy say I was to tech-savvy for this product, which was why I was trying to make my site more advanced than what the builder was designed to accommodate...that the website builder was much, much more 'basic' but was all they had, so I was stuck with a website I hated!

GoDaddy sold me a new "better" hosting plan (Enhance Business Hosting -EBH) this was off the back of a conversation that my website speed was really slow, and that I could switch hosting to EBH and migrate my website to a closer server (Singapore and when Australia server was up they would migrate to that).
The change in hosting and the migration has resulted in my website being down/or not loading properly on and off for more than 3 months.

I've spent over 10 hours on hold and talking with a GoDaddy Guide, each usually offering varying levels of service, and at least 3 calls where they have tried to upsell me products when my website was not working...including items that were/are included in my hosting plan already!!

Typically they are helpful but I have had challenges in the past where an issue received a different answer each time I called. They are extremely well known and dominate the industry with being a household name. I like the fact that you can have a web builder with your domain. They have templates and instructions on how to use the site. It integrates automatically with Shopify stores. It has good features for domains such as masking links and redirecting them.

My issue is that I'm not a technical person so I didn't find that it was easy to use to build without calling in for help. The cost could be lower for domains and add on services. Emails for your domains are not always included. If you want to redirect your domain name, it can take up to 24 hours for the new website to reflect.

I run multiple Wordpress and Weebly websites. I needed a domain registrar that I could trust and would be around for a long time. I chose GoDaddy. They make it so easy to handle DNS, to add nameservers, and to register ZohoMail. Everything is in one pane and explained super easy, so much so that even when I was a newbie, I was able to get started without too many growing pains. Over the years, I've consistently come back to GoDaddy for new domains time and time again because they're so easy to use.

They call you when you domains are set to expire to make sure you renew them. I love this feature. However, I once failed to reregister a primary domain for my company and lost it. I called GoDaddy, and they were able to negotiate with the new owner and broker a deal. Thankfully, for a couple hundred dollars I was able to get my domain name back.

The user interface can be difficult to navigate. Thankfully they have great documentation to help you navigate and resolve your issues. They definitely are plagued by feature bloat, but not too bad for a company that has been around since the Netscape days.
