I use Mindbody as a user when teaching yoga or other fitness classes at a studio. I really appreciate how I can login, check clients in, and look up their info if needed. It's quite intuitive & I think it's a must have for any fitness studio.

Nachteile

I can't think of anything I do not like about Mindbody.

We used Mindbody to manage our membership function of our website. Not really what it was made for, but it worked beautifully!

We were using it for a slightly off label purpose, and it still worked well! So there really isn't anything to complain about, customer service was so patient with us even with our sometimes difficult questions.

I've only used Mindbody as a client booking various yoga and fitness classes over the years in cities around the world and have never had an issue. I love that it creates an account so if I come back to that studio in future, I can quickly book in and even see the history of classes and teachers so I can return to take a class with someone I liked.

The interface is a bit more clunky on mobile web browser.

For the marketing pieces alone - this software is an excellent choice. When they added the SOAP charting system, it was not well thought out, and being an early adopter of their software, we were not in the beta testing for some reason. I loved the available reporting and its integration with Google Analytics and the website.

They got too big and too expensive, and the Solo CEOs were left out in the dark without a good solution. I certainly felt that we helped them design and tested for them only to be out-priced in the end.

There are no longer a lot of pros. You can do a lot of custom things and the 2 way texting is nice. But it is all a big learning curb, even for those who are tech savvy.

We have used Mindbody for many years for different businesses. It was not by choice but what was in place when we took over existing businesses. The software increases dramatically in cost and decreases in user friendliness and service often. There are a lot of features but sometimes it's too much. If you are a computer programmer, it may be a good option but there are a lot of ways to glitch the system unintentionally. Training new staff is a nightmare as the platform is not user friendly. Often updates will change a process and our experienced staff will be left having to relearn processes. Customer support use to be a lot better but it is clear they have sent it overseas. Many times, the reps will not know basic answers and will have to search through articles. You can hear a lot of people talking in the background, and often get bounced around. It use to be local reps which had trained extensively on the software helped.

I did not like when it would start malfunctioning that we would call to get it fixed and they wouldn't know when they could fix it and it would mess app our booking with our clients and we would have to go through and review everything manually

It became very difficult for clients to book appointments directly with us. We lost business because of this. Our onboarding was poor and only available late at night or early in the morning - due to timezone differences. Mindbody uses email addresses as unique identities for clients - most of which are clients have many of. Especially when the app provides multiple ways to login - google/Apple ID etc. This lead to us having many clients have duplicate profiles and memberships - which then became a mess to track. Our previous platform used phone numbers -which are much more unique.
