Up to the minute accuracy on POS when any information in the backend is changed. I like the professional layout of the iPad Cash Register, the ease of use for casual staff, and the ease of exporting information into QuickBooks.

Nachteile

I don't like that a sale is automatically started when you log in. If you don't make that sale and the iPad goes to sleep, the sale remains open, and a new one opens up when you log in again. It means that many transactions of $0.00 are left open.

I tried this system and ended up wasting lots of time trying to make this work. It was easy to understand but it was also tedious and lacks some key features. I ended up going with another pos since this one was just not working out for us. The customer support was ok but in the end, it was the features that kept me from choosing this system.

Nachteile

This POS was slow to update and tedious to maintain stock. I found the tax table to be challenging and worried about overselling.

Vorteile

Integrated inventory, ability to have access to numerous reports, able to see cost of items (I was not able to with Shopify), and easy to use.

Nachteile

It's pricy, but in my experience it is worth it to pay more. Lightspeed has made my life easier, so it's worth it to pay a bit more.

As nice and helpful as they are, they are limited to their software and can’t customize everything you want.

There is only one label printer that is available to use with Lightspeed and there is no way to import customers from a previous system.

Once the hardware and software are installed and up and running, it is a easy to use and is a bug-free Mac-based system. Everything worked once the long process of equipment arrival, download, and setup was accomplished.

Nachteile

Customer service is the very worst I have ever experienced. It took a month to get the hardware. Then, it took three months to get the software installed and another 4 months for a second location to be installed.

Quality build, beautiful, easy-to-use intuitive interface. The system runs fast and is professionally programmed. There are super robust product setup options, customer loyalty and discount options, and more. You can browse items via product images, which is way cool! The reports are clear and concise. Customer support does exist, and they pickup the phone.

Nothing right now. This is the best POS solution for the Mac platform.

Some associates have a harder time learning and need more options in sales process. IE creating a package.

A bit complicated to use, the inventory system doesn't work for our product/needs. Transfers between stores are tedious and it is unable to integrate with magento.
Reports are very vague and the admin controls are basic.

It was not ready to go to market. At peak times the payment system shuts down. The promised reports are not functional. I believe their infrastructure is insufficient, but their sales department is great!

Much easier system to use than Intuit. The customer service is very helpful, and it is very easy to get answers to questions as they arise. The system is very user-friendly, and even people with little computer experience can use the system.

The only drawback that I see so far is that when you count in the drawer, it doesn't keep count anywhere of the count in, only the total, not a breakdown.

This system is really easy to use. The steps all make sense and so far I have no complaints. Just do your research!

The software has enough flexibility to fulfill all of our needs, from an accounting, formatting, and sale processing standpoint. I brought a lot to the table for Caro to help me iron our with our initial training session and she took care of every need I had. Needless to say the customer service is great.

I love that Lightspeed does not require you purchase hardware through them; I use Lightspeed on my own hardware, and it works great.

I wish there wasn't such a high extra charge to add their e-commerce service. This is the only reason we don't use it.

I like the visual inventory and dashboard. It's great to see a snapshot of our business as the day goes on. And since we are an art gallery, our products are very visual and hard to describe, so the photos are key!

Nothing! We've been running smooth for over two years. Any issues I've had with software was because I skipped a setup step. They have been easy fixes.

Cloud best is the number one reason why I chose Lightspeed. I operate 6 locations in two different states, we had a local server as well as a backup server that was located in another state. Reliability kept getting worse and the monthly bill for service kept getting higher. I don't miss those days at all.

We were unable to use your existing Zebra label printers that we already owned from our previous POS. I can't really complain too much though, the new printer is smaller and fairly inexpensive. Worth while investment on our part.

With just a weeks notice, our company contacted Lightspeed to help us set up a pop up shop. What made this process so enjoyable was working with Marc from the NY office. Marc held our hand from start to finish ensuring we had all the right equipment, and that our inventory would be uploaded the same day.

Nachteile

Something that would make this product even better than it already is would be to allow users to be able to upload csv's directly to the site. This would save some time, although the upload team was extremely efficient and timely.

It's dashboard look fine and it's easy to use(user friendly). I found most of things I was looking for.

It is Mac-friendly and pretty easy to navigate. The dashboard element to track monthly sales trends, most products sold, etc. is great.

It's not easy to setup offsite login options. Transferring product data into the system doesn't work very well. Prices get excluded and you have to enter them in as you go about business, which isn't bad.
