I like being able to organize my tasks long-term. It allows me to break down a project into smaller tasks and see the timeline.

Nachteile

It wasn't the best solution for our agency. We needed to organize several tasks for almost 100 clients, and it just didn't have the organization we needed.

The tool was overall easy to learn and use. Also if you are a smaller company that needs some basic templates they have options

Nachteile

There was a lot of lifting to get data into the system and we abandoned the tool before we finished setting it up completely.

Airtable is the perfect organisational tool for those who are sick of building spreadsheets. It's very intuitive because the UX is designed with familiar interfaces.

I wish it had CRM functionality that integrated with the projects you make.

Templates are awesome and original. There are a lot of copycats out there, but this solution is an original.

Pricing isn’t ideal, other than that, I think that it is an amazing tool.

A lot of nice built in features to force you to be organized about planning and recording adventures. Great for people who don’t usually like to organize or people making plans with others and want a landscape to collectively add to. Great for planning travel, simple projects, study guides, etc.

Nachteile

Seems like a lot of work to organize yourself within their construct. If you are self organized and have a system, I don’t believe Airtable is a necessary tool to use.

The ease of use of this software and overall functionality is the best that I've seen. It's Excel with more power and more user-friendly, which gives me more time to accomplish the actual work that I need to accomplish.

Nachteile

This isn't a huge con, but being able to export as PDF and to export in various views that would show images would also be useful.

This software is amazing. It basically allows you to build custom applications. More powerful than a normal spreadsheet and way easier to use than a database, this software is great for organizing just about anything. You can set up a "base" to manage projects, plan a product launch, share feedback, and many more.

Nachteile

Their API is limited, you can only access at the "base" level and below, you can't access accounts to get a list of bases. If you could, you'd be able to share data across bases which would be fantastic.

What I like about Airtable is very user-friendly and easy to use. It makes my work easy to organize.

Airtable is a solid alternative to Excel and Google Sheets. Plus, it does so much more. In particular, it acts like a genuine database system that makes filing items truly easy.

We have few complaints, but we hope they'll add more functionalities in the future.

I love all of the different view options to view data: kanban, spreadsheet, calendar, grouping, filtering, sorting, etc. I also love that data can be entered so many different ways, short text, long text, money, clickable emails or websites, attachments, etc. It is so versatile and visually appealing.

Nachteile

There can be a steep learning curve with certain functionalities. The training videos help a bit though if you take the time to watch them.

The spreadsheet view is not for me. I already have excel. I feel like some of the options are a bit "churched" up and don't really function like I want them too.

Excel is often misused as a database. Airtable is the proper solution. Easy to use, supports the usecase unlike Excel where you may have to fight spreadsheet features. And it's shared, unlike an .xls as an email attachment.

I wish there was a native client instead of the web interface.

THE NUMBER 1 most basic advantage of a database is to be able to relate data sets to each other. For example To pull the name of a client into a 2nd data table based upon the clients email address or vice versa. The only way this is possible in Airtable is to manually link each and every record to another. Completely pointless!

The ability to look up data based on a field level query is basic functionality that even a spreadsheet can perform with ease. having to link every single record makes Airtable unuseable for my and many applications i would expect!

What I like most about this software is that I can create data in a speadsheet like fashion and pretty much anyone can see it. The way the data is organized and laid out is great and easy to understand. It makes it so that information that might otherwise be difficult to analyze and to present to the public, very easy.

Nachteile

This would probably be the next stage but the ability for users to add a row of information without having to register would take this software to the next level.

You need a team to adopt it. I loved it, but most people are set using excel, so to leverage all the capabilities, you need buy in from a team.

It's a relational database that is as easy to use as Sheets or Excel. The UI is very slick and I was able to get running in almost no time.

Lack of user permissions keep the program from being deeply useful, and from containing anything confidential. Lack of dashboard/report creation means that it's better for putting in data and organizing it than for understanding metrics. Both of these limit the long-term usefulness.

Airtable is a godsend for collaboration between our Sales and Marketing teams and for easy visibility (enterprise-wide) into the various plans, calendars, and so on for those teams.

Airtable flattens the learning curve of a relational database by leveraging the familiar 'Excel-type' spreadsheet interface. Having fields that allow you to link file attachments to each record is a real plus!

If I had to change anything, I'd like more granular controls for users and the ability to approve/decline record changes made by others. This can be mitigated by utilizing the auto-generated APIs, though.

I used this with a client as a content management tool. Found it super clunky and not a good use in this application. I'd use Smartsheet or Google's sheets tool instead.

Having multiple tables going with different coworkers streamlines communication and keeps everyone organized.

I dislike that uploading images is timely and I cannot organize the images with ease
