For the moment, nothing. I had some trouble getting used to it, but that's because I was used to Illustrator.

Most lovable features would be i don't need to rely on bigger softwares for small jobs as it supports mostly all file types wether its adobe or corel, the ui is modern and likeable and the lightweightness is over the roof its not like others with overwhelming features result in taking too much space this awesome software has it slow and steady and thats what i like about it most.

Nachteile

Not anything in particular but there are few bugs that are being fixed on every updates and only thing missing is i guess smart objects they don't function like in adobe instead they are something i didn't understand till yet so it snot like i hate it but its like i don't know about it at all.

This software allows you to create your projects with a minimum of features it is really a good software

Cost and Function! These two factors blow Adobe Illustrator out of the water. For only 40-50 bucks you can have a fully functioning program with almost all of the same functions as adobe illustrator. A designers dream

Some of the advanced functions of Adobe Illustrator aren't in place yet. Smart function of drawing an outline around a picture is not there yet.

Affinity Designer is a powerful software package used by professional graphic designers. I'm a dabbler with training in graphic design. I bought this software to help me with making graphics for my personal website. I'm sure I don't use it to even half of it's potential, but even for a light user, it works well and is fairly easy to figure out.

Nachteile

There are so many options available, it's probably too powerful for my needs. I don't like having to spend 30 minutes figuring out how to create the shape I want. Overall, I can't complain since I chose the software over some simpler packages that had more limitations.

Although I'm new in creating book covers and images for marketing, I'm falling in love with Affinity. The tutorials are super clear and helpful and the price was fantastic.

There are a lot of features and learning curves, but I don't view this as a negative. I try and learn one to two things at a time.

Affinity Designer is an inexpensive drop-in replacement for Adobe Illustrator. It works like AI, in fact, even better. What I like most is that is has simple one-line instructions that tell you what actions you can take on the selected objects—it's like a training system.

I found no problems with Affinity Designer. The software user-interface is the same as Illustrator, but has additional helpful elements.

Affinity Designer is a modern version of what it was Corel Draw, but this time, someone is taking it seriously.
It works on desktop and mobile and you can switch devices in the middle of a job.
The app is lighter than Illustrator.

As is new, it lacks features. But Im not saying the team is not adding them in a future.
It also needs a bigger online community, I didn’t find speciffic turorials or blogs to comment my experience or ask questions.

This software is much easier to learn than Adobe Illustrator. The Product is also much cheaper. It has less functions than Adobe Illustrator but it doesn't really matter because the most important, most used and trusted functions are there. Because it is easy to use you can get your work done much faster and more efficiently than Adobe Illustrator for example.

It doesn't have as many functions as adobe Illustrator. But great product nonetheless.

#1 - This is a ONE TIME purchase product, and the price is outstanding. No subscription so you have to keep paying every single month or every single year. Isn't that refreshing?

#2 - This software is relatively simple to use. Far easier than the "big name" competitor. Give it a try! There are also great tutorial videos available.

#3 - It works great with the other 2 products, their photo editor and their publishing software.

Of the three Affinity softwares, this is still the one I use the least. More practice will change that up!

If you're new to this sort of software it can be a bit daunting, there's a lot of features and it's not always straightforward on how to use them to get the full benefits. Luckily there are a number of tutorials online if you get stuck.

Some of the features and functions of the tool feel a bit unnatural if you are converting over from Illustrator, so it will take some getting used to, but it is worth it!

Affinity is hands down the best design software on the market. It's affordable but oh so powerful. I've been using it since it came out and it just keeps getting better. As a designer that used Photoshop for a long time I was excited to see something better.

The only con I can think of is that they are still building up a user base so sometimes it's harder to find design resources made for Affinity.

The price of Affinity is hard to beat -- I am an accidental graphic designer for smaller parts of my job and, with no formal education, training, or experience, I didn't want to make a large investment in the mainstream design software. Affinity can do everything that I could ever dream of and is a breeze to learn.

I wish there were more "tutorials" in the software itself, but that's likely only because I had no idea what I was doing when I first started using Affinity. After diving in, the software is quite user friendly!

Affinity designer has a robust vector and raster set of tools. It runs super smooth with at a fluid 60fps that makes vector art creation a dream. The export persona allows you to export to multiple files at the same time with extensive compatibility most major vector art software. Hundreds of history states with little to no slowdown. And ridiculous zoom capability and a price that you can’t beat!!

An area where it could improve is in its lack of ability to “auto vectorize” artwork like other vector software

Its simple to use, but has a big variety of capabilities. The newest update is more user friendly, the tools are more intuitive.

I wish it had the ability to auto trace a sketch. I use dxf files everyday in my industry but i end up having to redo or export my file into a different software because i cant export or generate a dxf. It would also be nice to have more capability in recognizing features of a sketch as vector lines.

This app has a gorgeous UI and every feature just feels incredibly smart and useful. It feels like an entirely new way to illustrate with vector art.

The features are sometimes behind their competitors, it really is a case of quality over quantity right now for them.

I think that it is easier to learn and definitley worth a purchase becuase it is a one-time fee instead of a monthly fee. I was very surprised for how many features it had for the price. If designing was my full-time job, I may feel different.

Right now the online user forums are a little weak compared to Adobe illustrator. That will improve overtime and affinity has made training material on their end that is helpful.

Probably because the software is technically quite new, it does not have the features yet of popular vector software Illustrator from Adobe or its open source counterpart Inkscape.

Affinity Designer is easy and straightforward to use, and has a smaller front print and is lighter on system resources than alternatives like Adobe Illustrator. It's also much cheaper. All of the essential features that I use web design are still present in the software. It's improved routinely and the makers clearly care about the product.

Affinity Designer isn't as full featured as Adobe Illustrator, but for just using it to create assets for web design, etc., there isn't really anything that I found missing. If you don't use a lot of Illustrator's more complicated functionality, there isn't really a big reason to not give Affinity a shot.

I ended up here because other companies' subscriptions are too expensive. It goes up surprisingly cheaply in terms of features. It's very convenient that it can handle all the popular file formats from other companies.

There are other open-source, free apps with similar features, but they don't make much difference in use. I can't shake the feeling that something is going on. I wish it were easier to use. Maybe it's because it doesn't feel like an iPad when you want to use the pen in Windows.

Honestly can’t say enough about this program. Absolutely love it! I’ve never used something that was so user friendly. I’m not very familiar with vector graphics and needed a program to edit vector images in. It’s super user friendly for newbies and has a lot of amazing features for the price!

There is not much not to like about Affinity Designer. Yes, some things are in a different location than in Illustrator.​ Not a big deal.

The cost is for sure a big selling point for this program, but it is pretty good overall too. I have a coworker who loves it and so I have some experience with it through him. There are things with it that seem a little off, but things that also seem a lot better than other programs. It overall seems pretty comparable to Illustrator.

To me, some of it seems a little less intuitive than Illustrator, and although it has a lot of great stuff, I just don't like it quite as much because of those things. I know that if I spent some more time getting to know it better, I may not feel that way as much, but it definitely just feels a little lower quality and user-friendly than Illustrator.

I have basic photo editing skills and every once in a while, it comes in handy for random tasks and projects I have for our church. I had been looking for a software that I could use and though I was skeptical at first, I was blown away by how much Affinity is able to do at such an affordable price. For any beginner-level photo editors, Affinity Designer has all that you need at a price that is much more affordable than buying Photoshop.

The great fact is that I can just paid once and forget it. I don't have to be concerned about paid upgrades for in the future. And this is the most important factor that I had considered before investing on AD.

Modern and simple user interface to work with. It has got almost all the basic functions that Adobe Illustrator offers. Simple workflows and tools (and colourful icons as well) are readily found within the menu and tool sets. Also, in terms of certain workflows in designing graphics, it is actually more intuitive and I can achieve the same result with fewer steps.

AD had gained popularity and mass appeal users from notorious Adobe Illustrator and other graphic tools. It can do almost all kinds of design within the software.

Nachteile

What I found lacking is that it does not support plugins like Adobe Illustrator does. Also, it is not updated as frequent as Adobe Illustrator does. Certain complex design workflows may be not easily achievable within AD with a few steps. There is still room for improvement though for the software to be as powerful and even better than Illustrator.

I'm so happy to have discovered Affinity Designer and the entire Affinity suite. A much more cost effective solution compared to Adobe products, and in my opinion, with far better features! More intuitive to use than Adobe, and also love that there's an iPad version.
