I like the vast set of functionalities and the support for several languages in Sublime Text. It is really a wonderful tool to write code and manage it.

Nachteile

Sublime Text has some bugs but they come up rarely. Some errors get hard to resolve in it but overall it is good.

There are numerous free plugins you can use to extend the functionality of sublime text for it to better suit your needs

The license is a one-time payment, pay it and you will continue getting updates forever.

Sublime text 3 is available on all three major operating systems, meaning it won't be difficult to switch between them
-Best tool for the job
I've tried numerous Text editors and can definitely vouch for Sublime Text being one of the best

Nachteile

-A Sublime Text 2 license does not equate to a sublime text 3 license
This is an annoying thing, when buying a license remember to buy Sublime text 3, given that the licenses are not interchangeable

Vorteile

It has great support for several programming languages, is very light in size, is very easy to use and allows good customization. It has a plugin store to improve our experience with the software. It has support for all major operating systems.

Nachteile

It doesn't have much integration with the main software development tools like Git natively. The plugins can come with bugs and spoil our experience.

Sublime is a text editing program targeted at code and markup and is probably one of the best performing and most visually stunning programs in that regard. Other programs such as Atom and VSCode, which are Electron based editors, can seem very sluggish in comparison to Sublime, which seems to breeze through everything except the most strenuous loads. Electron based editors also tend to hog more memory compared to Sublime.

Sublime is also well laid out and easy to use, with nice plug-in support and customization, auto saving features, and a nice and clean interface. Multiple cursors and multiline editing are intuitive and add a lot of welcome functionality to the program.

Nachteile

Sublime is not as robust an IDE as VSCode or Jetbrains IDEs are, serving as more of an intermediate between a text editor and a complete IDE. This is great if you want to install packages to complete the features of the program or use terminal to run code, but not if you're trying to use Sublime as an all-in-one program.

The interface may be too limited for some users wanting more clickable options.

- Sublime is super fast.
- Since its not built on top of web technology like other editors, it able to achieve immense performance eg. Working with a very large file.
- It has almost all the features a modern code editor needs.
- It has free version
- Its cross platform. Wherever you go, you get the same sublime.

Nachteile

- For a beginner its hard to use (speaking from my personal experience).
- Comparing the features & ease of use with its competitor vscode, it loses.
- Regarding themes & extensions, I don't like it very much. There are better alternatives.

Vorteile

The text manipulation features and shortcuts allow for super fast coding. WIth installable plugins, the features are infinite. It's fairly lightweight and is my go-to for tiny or massive text editing projects.

Nachteile

The development needed to turn this into a full IDE for most languages just isn't there. I'd love to just live inside sublime, but I can't- I always have to pair the software with something else for executing the code.

Vorteile

The file system browser on the side bar is very convenient. Also once you learn all the keyboard shortcuts, combined with regex searching documents, you can perform some complex text operations very quickly. It's also free, and you can choose to purchase a license to support them.

Nachteile

The software will crash maybe once every one or two months on my Macbook Pro. I don't lose unsaved work, though, so it's just an inconvenience.

I like that is as easy as a notepad, light and fast, there's lots of plugins for development, colored themes based on the programming language you're using

I feel that it is so fast and gives quick response.

The popup alert to buy is annoying to multiple people including me.
I do not prefer the User Experience (UX).

- highlighting of the opening and closing brackets for HTML code is very good

I'm a developer and one of the most important aspect of coding is performance. Sublime text is packed with cool features and is so lightweight that you will definetely enjoy coding with it. You can choose between themes and colors that will help you understand or identify your code easily

Nachteile

There are some features missing, but I wouldn't call it a "contra", they keep it simple and robust. Nothing really to complain about

The only thing not to like about this is the popup that shows from time to time when you save a file, to remind you that the software can be paid for if you're willing. Not a big deal, but can be annoying after a while.

I love the vast selection of plug-ins that work with Sublime. Out of the box, it's already a really great product and has all of the features you need to quickly and efficiently code, but the plug-ins are so great. One feature I really love is the ability to skin your program. I prefer applications that have night mode and I love that Sublime offers a bunch of different ones out of the box.

There aren't too many things that I don't like about this software. The shortcuts are not intuitive unless you program them yourself, but other than that, I love how lightweight and easy to use it is.

What I like about Sublime Text is the simple, yet intuitive interface. It doesn't feel heavy such as Dreamweaver or other busy interfaces, yet it is clean and support is very easy to find.

It's Syntax highlighting is accurate and very powerful. Multi tabbed interface is also very useful. Sublime Text saves your notes without saving. If you forgot to save your note and close it, don't worry sublime text will keep it.

It does not have any cloud backup solutions. No spell checker. It has little bit high learning curve if you want to us e the advanced features.

This software is absolutely free to use. It also has the feature of autosuggestion which is very helpful while writing long and complex code and scripts. easy to debug as it highlights the syntax errors and the scope resolution.

The only thing which I didn't like is that it doesn't have a autosaving feature sometimes we forget to save our code than this feature can help us save lots of efforts.

The only source code editor I use and recommend. Since I started using Sublime, I haven't gone back. It has all the functionality I would need, looks great cross-language, and is only a one time payment for a user-key.

There is honestly very little issues I have with Sublime Text. I guess a feature that opens all files after using "Find in Files" search would be helpful, but not a deal breaker.

It's one of the best text editor for client side developers. Tab style is very useful. It's fast text editor that you can use for client side. It can be extensible and has customizable UI. Moreover, auto-correct feature is successful.

It's very expensive, its alternatives are going the almost same thing for free. It requires more memory and its start time is low. Search feature is not good.

Sublime Text is an excellent text editor which includes syntax highlighting for multiple programming languages, an intuitive set of keyboard shortcuts, multi-cursor support, multi-tab support, and a rich ecosystem of add-on packages. It also runs on multiple-platforms.

The product can be freely evaluated but it will occasionally nag you to buy a license which is relatively expensive. The core product is not open-source. Although this is not inherently bad, it does mean that it evolves at a much slower pace than competing open-source products and does not have as many features.

What I liked the most about using Sublime Text, especially Sublime Text 3, is how robust and easy to use it is, especially considering how light-weight it is, both for me and my PC. It was especially useful in my early days learning to code because of its ease of use and support for nearly all the languages I was trying.

What I liked least about Sublime Text was its complete lack of compilation capabilities; which ended up being very constraining , since for most other languages in contrast with the more basic ones; successful compilation is the most definitive test of functionality.

It is very comfortable to work with and is easy on the eyes, especially since it can be switched from day mode (bright) to night (darker). It also provides a mind map to the side of the editor to show you what file you are on and where it is located. The formatting is consistent when using on different platforms such as, iOS or windows.

Nachteile

When loading certain sized files, mostly larger ones, it can cause the program to load slowly. It also has the tendency to crash if loaded with poorly added add-ons.

I fell in love with the shortcuts aswell as the possibilty to create complex snippets with ease quite quickly. It took me about 2 days and a couple of tutorials to really enjoy working with it. Very extendable / customizable. I switched to Visual Studio about 6 months ago, but I still use Sublime for small changes and working on single files because of the overhead of VS Code compared to ST3.

Nachteile

If you want to work on a bigger project, theres just some features missing that are nice to have. Especially if it comes to debugging. Maybe it is possible to use extensions to achieve a similar experience to VS Code, I'm not sure. Also, I had a lot of struggle setting up linters for different languages.

Sublime text allows for a very performance rich experience. It comes with the bare-bone tools necessary to code or edit text.

It has a rich plugin repository that allows you to personalize you experience with this tool to the utmost.

The free version has a modal message that pops up every now and then. This becomes obnoxious after a while. Instead of a modal, it could be a message toast in the corner.

Migrating from Windows to macOS, the big advantage for me is working in both operating systems. It has almost all the features that a day-to-day use requires and a lot of programming languages, even the free version. It has also a lot of plug-ins and they are easy to setup

I don't have anything bad to tell about Sublime. It does exactly what it should on the basic version, and has a lot of plug ins.

First thing is that it is in budget. Very good and affordable price! Supports many languages! I love "Goto" feature. It's very helpful and saves a lot of time. We don't have to learn / cram a lot of commands of different programming languages.

I don't think there is anything that I don't like. It has so many themes, even we can download other themes and add to it.

This is a versatile editor (not just text editor). I like the fact that you can use this editor for almost anything ranging from a simple text editor to complex web design and coding. I also like the fact that you can customize the editor and enhance the functionality by installing many packages which are available for free. The tabbed interface and multiple editor panes are also very useful.

I'm not sure if the packages are verified, would be nice if somehow they are, but I understand it is a user contribution and it is not easy for Sublime to vet all packages. I wish there was a user interface to edit the app and user settings-right now have to open the settings file and edit manually. Also would be nice if there are frequent updates released.

I really liked the color coding and auto completion of tags which worked pretty flawlessly for PHP coding and for html, css and the like.
