Great Communication Service System
We decided to use twilio because we wanted to receive text notifications when new orders were being placed in our website, we saw this would do the job and decided to move forward with it.
Vorteile
It gives you the ability to add phone numbers and use them to send text messages to other people. It integrates with other applications to automate and create rules based on your requirements.
Nachteile
Until now Twilio has been covering our needs, once again we only use it for sending text messages through our website ordering. Nothing big.

Vorteile
I love the different options they have available for getting in touch with our customers. We use it for phone and text. Keeps us in the loop with them.
Nachteile
We've faced some downtime with them before...a heads up in advance would be good. Customers aren't happy when they don't receive the texts.

It's very reliable. We've had next to no downtime and very few complaints from our customers about our SMS integration.
Nachteile
Before moving to a short code we ran into an issue where carriers were reporting messages as delivered, but customers were not. I think carriers don't necessarily pass the correct info to Twilio, so there was some operating in the dark..

Outstanding company, makes SMS integration in your apps completely seamless.
Creating custom tailored apps on my main home PC that will push SMS to my phone to alert me of various behaviors and activities has been a massive time saver. Thanks to Twilio team for implementing such a headache free SMS solution.
Vorteile
Ease of use regarding app integration. Within 10 minutes, I was sending test messages to myself. Very fair pricing model per message and excellent customer support (almost too good)
Nachteile
There really isn't much to say negative about the platform. I have only used it in small scale personal apps so I have no idea how the cost and efficiency scales as you start sending thousands or millions of SMS messages to a massive client base but so far so good.

The best SMS platform I've tried
I needed an SMS partner that had a compatible API for another software application I run. After trying all of the compatible solutions, Twilio won hands-down. Their software set is more advanced and easier to use than the other solutions I tried. I absolutely love their TwiML language and the ability to run some TwiML code in their cloud is fantastic. I am able to send out automated and customizable SMS alerts very easily. I am able to easily troubleshoot texts not received and setting up error alerts gives me great confidence in knowing my texts are going through.

The ease of use and ability to run TwiML code in their cloud.
Nachteile
The learning curve for the web console is a little steep, but once you get through that - the ease of use is great.

A ridiculously easy way to get started with phones.
When the topic came up of integrating phone interactions into a software solution it could send a chill down any modern developer's back. Even the thought of choosing which provider to go with could leave me in a cold sweat, let alone handle the implementation. So I was doubtful when I plugged Twilio into NuGET and sent the first SMS message. But as it instantly arrived on my phone (prepended with the trial account message) I was left surprised at the ease.

Nachteile

Nachteile
More programatic controls about throttling and retries would be great - but not necessary. In fact, they might have been included in a later release and I may not have seen them yet...

If you want your application to send texts this is exactly what you need
Vorteile
I've only built a single application so far that sends texts and they had to be sent to French phone numbers. Twilio was one of the few choices available but it was so amazing and robust that I would use them for any text message app in the future.
Nachteile
Sending text messages from an app is a relatively complex thing to do. It was a little difficult getting started but Twilio's support center and sample code is VERY good.

Really powerful software
Overall I would definitely use programmable voice again.
Vorteile
Twilio offers a lot of documentation which makes it easier to get started. The features offered in the programmable voice platform are second to none. You can do pretty much anything you put your mind to.
Nachteile
The learning curve is a bit steep to get started. The documentation helps with that, but more scenarios would make it better.

This software had a huge numebr of features, many of which I'm sure I am still oblivious to. Its an incredibly diverse software.
Nachteile
The only down side is that it can be pretty complicated to setup and requires more of a coder mentality to understand it. there are many texting and Voice drop softwares out there that are simpler.

Easy to use and amazingly powerful
Super easy to use, lots of available training, and an extremely powerful product - what more could you ask for?

It only took me about 10 minutes to integrate a library into an application I was building, and afterwards I could send text messages to phones flawlessly. My mind is blown by how easy this is!

It could get a little expensive for personal projects, but that's about all.

Any developer in the programmable SMS space has probably used Twilio. Their API is solid and their dashboard is dead simple to use. The cherry on top is a massively generous non-profit grant that allows churches/non-profits to use their product totally free.

I've been using Twilio for years and have yet to have an issue. So far the only limitations have been my programming abilities.

Great software for setting up online SMS/Call
We set up an online call center for one of our clients on twilio, so they could put their phone on "vacation mode" and it would forward all calls.
Vorteile
This software was quite easy to set up using PHP/SQL. It gave us the option for VOIP and online SMS centers. It was also quite inexpensive to use

The MMS features are not quite up to date, there should be an easier way to send multi media through Twilio.

Overall experience is very professional!

The best thing I like about the Twilio is the payment model "Pay as you go" and it is very easy to set up things. I usually use this tool for SMS API integration, you can easily find everything within the provided documentation, everything is well organized.

Not the easiest tool for texting to students
Vorteile
Twilio does allow us to send mass texts to students, so it does what we bought it to do. We picked Twilio as a tool because other colleges recommended it. It is relatively easy to use once it's set up, but setting it up is a challenge, in no small part because our organization didn't have a solid communication plan and had to create other supporting business processes during implementation.
Nachteile
It was extremely difficult to get approved for a short code to enable the desired mass texting to students, and Twilio was not helpful during this process. I'd like to see more support from Twilio in the form of "this is how other colleges designed their business processes to protect student privacy" etc. Many colleges are still just getting started with mass texting and could use a software vendor who understands where they're coming from.

I absolutely love this product. It's easy to use and their support is so receptive.
Vorteile
The product is easy to use, and I do use it daily. When tracking sms messages sent, it displays the messages and makes it easy to find a particular message I'm looming for. Further, they're support is wonderfully receptive! Got my answer quick and fast the one time I needed to reach out to them.
Nachteile
Sometimes it can get a little cumbersome getting acquainted to all of the tabs...but that's because Twilio has so many features and can do so much!

I have implemented twilio with Asp.Net C#. There is SDK available for C# to send sms and voice message. Its very easy to implement with asp.net c# language. There are already created functions to send sms and voice message.
Nachteile
Twilio is not a open source. You need to purchase it. Its very costly but service is bery good. Good customer support but its only by email not phone so you wait 2-3 days for reply.

So far, I have had no issues since setting this up. It did take longer to set up only because I had to research some YouTube videos to correctly set it up

In researching products for sending text and multimedia I came across this software in a forum. Initially, I thought it would be easy to use but it comes out that you have to know the product a little bit more than normal. Fortunately, there are YouTube videos on how to set it up

Very satisfied. Rates are great. Customer service and communication are top notch.

I like that it integrates with our Church Management Software. The customer service is excellent and communication is timely.
Nachteile
The dashboard online is not very intuitive. The major "tabs" don't have words, so you have to know what the symbol means. There is so much to this application that you often have to dig a bit to find what you are looking for.

Vorteile
Sí que es cierto que antaño dejaba bastante cosas huecas pero ahora, es súper fáci de usar y muy estable y hace que evites de usar software adicional como zapier
Nachteile
no sé por qué pero a veces la página tarda mucho en cargarse y actualizarse, eso hace que la interaccíon a la hora de trabajar frustre un poquito y llegue a cabrear...
