Terrible Customer Service
Not good as they were oblivious enough to suggest my client's who are cooperate companies should use US shortcode for their number.
They are not even in the same continent.

Until we realized we've been mislead by our account executive we thought pricing model is good.
Nachteile
Account executives has no clue about Twilio's requirements.
They give you the impression to think that it is possible but then you learn the truth when you ask support center.
Me and my client's completely mislead by an account executive who wasted our 4 weeks.
To get an accurate information you need to pay, upgrade your account, talk with support don't believe anything an account executive says
They openly admit I should've talk with support center rather than them.

Twilio create a range of innovative products that allow you to communicate in a so many creative ways.
The support from the development team is excellent
Nachteile
Occasionally, documentation will become outdated and isn't always easy to find.
The packages for some languages will contain more bugs & may be slow to add functionality (such as C#) but the Twilio team always eventually fix any bugs & improve the libraries
Beta products may rarely change and introduce breaking changes (as you would expect with a product still in development)

Nothing at all! All I received was nonstop calls and emails trying to push the product.
Nachteile
I made it clear what I was looking to do and the system I need to integrate it with. I was assured it could be done, after a week of back and forth, they admitted it may not be the best solution!

The standard for online messaging services
We use Twilio to integrate with our Church Management System to provide better communication with our members. The Twilio integration was built by the ChMS company using the SMS API and it works well. I've also used their voice API and their authentication app, which are very good. They have very competitive prices and solid service. They also offer discounts for qualified non-profits.

Using Twilio is a dream
Twilio has expanded our ability to reach people by an order of magnitude. Couldn't be happier with it.
Vorteile
Twilio makes automated messaging almost laughably easy. We originally set up their programmable voice API to do community surveys in countries where we work but have since found a half dozen other uses across the organization, incorporating SMS messaging, WhatsApp, and potentially Facebook Messenger. The prices are super reasonable, and the tutorials are really helpful in getting things integrated into our existing systems (built with django).
Nachteile
We would really benefit from phone numbers being available in other countries where we work, such as Haiti, Mongolia, Ukraine, and Nepal.

I'm sure that I'm not twilio's target market. I send 10 texts a month, but it's still amazing.

Twilio is crazy cheap. I'm not sure how they make any money. They give you functionality you can't get anywhere else for a steal.
Nachteile
If I had to list something, it would be that I wish this was integrated into more software suites by default. I shouldn't have to use zapier and twilio to make average software amazing.

Zero Support - no success after two months
My overall experience has been really bad - primarily because there is no way to talk with a human. It should be known - the problem could actually be with facebook or whatsapp, since the twillio to whatsapp integration requires facebook too. But - Twillio is the primary contact, so they somewhat own any other weaknesses in the process flow, IMHO.
Vorteile
I'm at the end of my wits here - I've been trying to implement Twillio with Whatsapp for over two months. There's really no support, no way to talk to a human, and no way to bump up in the queue. Call me old school - but businesses that can't and won't offer human support make it difficult to give them my business.

Don't know - after two months, I haven't been able to implement it.

Piece of Cake
Adding text message notifications to a web app does a lot to make it seem more "modern", and Twilio is a powerful tool to do so. Highly recommend, and I haven't even scratched the surface very deep into the other services Twilio offers.

In literally half a day, I was able to bring text message notifications to my web app. Documentation was provided for my language of choice (php), so after prepaying and selecting a phone number, it was fairly easy to tie it all together.
Nachteile
Documentation for the api, examples, php, etc, seemed to be scattered around in different areas of the Twilio help/documentation website. I was able to dig into the info I needed, but it could definitely have been organized better.

Nachteile
The reject/failure level above 50% is unacceptable and makes it too expensive. Tech support could not help and blamed it on mobile providers.

Easy to use, great developer support
Great service for developers, super quick development of call/text services for custom applications.
Vorteile
I have use Twilio in API development and it is extremely easy to use. The API documentation is really well written and extremely small. I was able to make automated phone calls with a voice recording and real phone number within a few hours.
Nachteile
This can get fairly expensive if you have a lot of usage. The phone numbers are a little confusing.

The Twilio Service has such a large range of SMS and Messaging features, that it takes a bit to get 100% familiar with everything they can do. We have found the SMS feature integrates very quickly into your mobile app and the price point per SMS is great.

Twilio is very inexpensive. It's also extremely customizable via their API. The code samples are helpful and making API calls is very simple.
Nachteile
There is no real user interface. Pretty much the only way to use the software is to program it via the API.

The go-to text-message API for the web
I'm using Twilio to implement basic SMS-based notifications for web-app upkeep & maintenance purposes.
Vorteile
Once you've gotten used to Twilio's quirks and understood their pricing, it's an amazingly powerful tool for everything that can happen via a phone-line.
From text to calls to automation: Twilio provides functionality for every conceivable use-case and exposes these features through a standardised API that is well supported by their many libraries & sample code-snippets.
Nachteile
Getting started with their API is a bit cumbersome. Authentication, API-endpoints and Twilio's code-level conventions take a good while to get used to. This is perhaps to be expected by such a feature-rich product but I was nevertheless hoping for an easier start for something as simple as just sending text.
I'd also wish for Twilio to add some clarification to their pricing page in regards to international calls & pricing within the EU, as this was one of my sticking points when choosing Twilio for the job at hand.

Overall experience is excellent. It actually solves the purpose of sending messages to mobile devices.

Good one stop shop for text / voice prog integration
We use it on our repair tracking and ticketing software to alert customers their devices are ready, we had to setup a number and so forth to get some API level info to enter into some PHP files and we were off and running! I was surprised by how fast this works, almost instant!!! I did have some trouble and continue to have trouble taking inbound texts and relaying those to our app / site but the outbound are more important to us anyway so it's ok.. still sorting that out.

Great API / info available for a quick dive into getting something up and running! Also a free trial / credits to test it out.. that's great. Very easy / slick menu system backend too / logs.
Nachteile
I liked the tech but the support could use some work, naturally you may not ever need them but I did as the text messages that were sent to the service from my website were NOT getting to my users on the application, we ended up in the finger pointing game.... was it the app , was it the host? Could it be them, who knows! The tech itself is solid though in all fairness.

Awesome Product - Love the ability to customize
It is a great product, love the ease of use once we got it up and running.

We loved the fact that this was a plugin to our apps, but at the same time function was like a program in itself. Best of both worlds.

I like doing things myself and getting them done in my own timing, so I was a little bummed that this was not a straightforward plug and play, I actually had to get help with this since I am not very technical with coding/programming.

If you want to use physicals phones, it's a little bit more complicate than generic VOIP providers.

Twilio lets us do things with phone numbers that we had never dreamed of just a few years ago. With integration into our primary business apps, we're able to send text messages programmatically, make robo calls, use disposable phone numbers... The best part of the products that Twilio offers is that they all work consistently, and they provide feedback when they don't. It just works!

It works for what we need it for
We use Twilio as part of our survey/marketing research process. We send invitations to (opted in) respondents and Twilio manages the opt-out, bad numbers, etc which frees up our time.

Great texting api
I am very satisfied with how little text messages cost, and the ease of integration.

This api works great for sending text messages. We use it for alerting when things aren' going well. Setting up the api was super simple, and integrating it with our codebase was easy enough.

Best Texting Service
Vorteile
Twilio works on two levels, both as a relatively accessible GUI driven texting service and as a hardcore API service for all your communication needs. That it can fulfill both use cases is kind of amazing, hugely recommended regardless of your scale.
Nachteile
Really very little is missing. It's not especially cheap, but their stranglehold on the market means there's not a lot to price compare it to and the rates are fair.

Its is easy to operate as its a customer friendly tools,it can help to gather information about market research, by using it user can easily identity the target reach.
Nachteile
Its time consuming, and make delay in generating report. Short url have to show detail report.

A great customizable communications tool
Customer Support is reasonably responsive and the product works really well for our needs. As I mentioned, the setup experience is a little clunky, but what it can do is expansive.
Vorteile
With Twilio the value lies in how much you can customize your communications and how integratable it is with other systems. By far the best we've worked with.
Nachteile
The UX/UI for navigating the web app and setting up your customizations and integrations via their API is not very intuitive. Just not as friendly as I would like for how often we update rules.

Great tool to integrate SMS and WhatsApp with your chatbot
I had a pretty good experience with Twilio however I feel like the operation of all facilities can be expanded to other parts of the world as well

El soporte me ayudó bastante, y los videos de youtube al respecto.
Vorteile
Por la cantidad de servicios que ofrece, permite realizar tareas simples hasta tener tu propio bot y contestador automático y mas. Actualmente el precio en argentina es de USS $ 0.0743 por mensaje
Nachteile
Es un poco dificil al principio comenzar ya que tienes que tener ciertos conocimientos en desarrollo para que te resulte mas facil en el inicio, lo que se potencia con la buena atención del soporte.

Great functionality, Easy to implement, Great Pricepoint
Overall, my experience with Twilio was incredible. It was easy to implement, had all the features I could ask for, and all at a great pricepoint!
Vorteile
- Twilio saved us a lot of money as it allowed us to build an internal system and replace expensive third-party software.
- Twilio is very reasonably priced
- Incredible diverse functions and options. Nearly any case or use I could think of for calling/texting I was able to find documentation for.
- The programmable call was easy to use and implement with few lines of code.
- The debugging system on the twilio website was really helpful!
Nachteile
- Not much to be honest!
- Django documentation? Took a while to understand post/get and callback/endpoints/webhooks.
