It's not the best option if you are interested in creating a feature-rich video but if you need to create something quick and simple its a great choice that involves no learning curve aside from what you already know in Powerpoint.

Powerpoint is a great tool for presentations, simple videos but it not that great for image creation if you don't know a work-around. When downloading images in Powerpoint, the image quality of the downloaded file is not great at all. It becomes very pixeled. This can be quite frustrating if you know your way around Powerpoint and struggle to use or don't have access to other image editors. It is a problem that can be fixed but it takes a couple of steps that most users will not easily find. A Google search will lead to the hidden steps to resolving this problem so all is not lost if you image creation is what you're after.

One of the best visual tools to present my data is Microsoft PowerPoint. With some beautiful backgrounds and designs, it always brightens my ideas on slides. Everything is perfect, and slides have multiple schemes with audio and video insert options. If someone is not good at English, the translate option is also available, translating the text into various other languages. Microsoft PowerPoint added several features over the period and made the data presentation on slides entertaining. I never got bored with MS PowerPoint, as it is full of colors, superb animation, elegant designs, and transitions. I always prefer MS PowerPoint for my presentations.

MS PowerPoint presentations take a long time to send by email. If you insert an audio or video, you must know the actual size of that format; heavy files make the presentation rich, which leads to sharing taking more time. It isn't easy to create original graphics and transitions on PowerPoint. MS PowerPoint is a platform where someone can easily prepare presentations by using predefined formats, challenging to come up with unique work. The available options in MS office are not available in PowerPoint; keyboard shortcuts are not listed. Despite all facts, MS PowerPoint is the simplest way for students and professionals to present their data on slides by fantastic means.

My favorite thing about PowerPoint is that it is extremely easy to use. For most basic PowerPoint projects, I feel like anyone could open up the software and figure out how to use it at it's basic level. I feel like the interface of PowerPoint is very user-friendly and it's organized like other Microsoft Office products. Because it's organized the same way, it makes it very easy to use especially if your familiar with other Microsoft Office products. I also love the newer feature of design help. It pops up with design ideas just to the right of your work area and makes it very accessible to change the design of your slides. The user can select through the different options and see how these design ideas might look on your slides with your information and graphics. It allows for very professional looking slides without putting in much effort.

I feel like this software works great if you always go in order all the time with your slides but if you are the type that likes to jump around to meet the needs of your audience, this can be cumbersome with PowerPoint. There is a way to more seamlessly build into your presentation the ability to say skip over a certain area if your running short on time but it's a more advanced feature that can take some practice to learn and use correctly.

You can create slides in a very simple way thanks to its interface that is quite easy to manage, which makes the creation task very pleasant.

It has lot of options and features available to design your document the way you wish to, However, a lot of features are not readily accessible for a lay-person. You need to do a lot of Googling to find out new capabilities. Also, additional tutorials within the application would go a long way in helping user figure out simple issues. I use PowerPoint on a Mac and a PC. Cross-platform editing should be simpler, meaning that sometimes tool bars are not laid out the same.

One major issue I've found with this software is that it's difficult to do group presentations and collaborate on projects. Therefore, you'd have to send the newly edited version to your group each time you make an edit.

In few click you have access to animations and a set of transitions times or triggered by users' click. on top of all, the tool us compatible with most of the presentation hardware and software developed out there. In many case, the presentation software can export to pptx format (which is typical Powerpoint) or allow importing a powerpoint file into their tool for conversion and further editing.

User can easily insert pictures and videos into the file and it is compatible with excel and word so copying content from any of those editing tool to Powerpoint is as easy as Copy and Paste.

4. There is a presenter View which I pretty like - you can watch on your screen the presentation how you want it - with your personal notes and timing, and to project it on another screen in the way the public needs to view it.
5. You can choose to buy it with office 365 - which makes it even more powerful. One great feature for me is that multiple people can work on one file simultaneously which helps in team working a lot.
6. And finally, I think the software can help every person - from small home projects, through student and school purposes, to big business projects.

Powerpoint is much more versatile than you might think or remember. A few years ago our office moved to a popular online presentation software because of perceived limitations with Powerpoint. After using this other software for a few years, we were able to see that it was no better and had other limitations. Moving back to PowerPoint we found features we either didn't realize were available or that had been added during our time away. There are multiple transitions and animations that can make your presentations look less like a PowerPoint and more polished. The key to using these transitions and animations is to make them subtle. Also being able to see and move layers around in PowerPoint visually is an amazing plus that I don't remember being able to do in the past.

There are still some things you can't easily do like having one large background that you move around in as your presentation space, but if you feel the need to have this after using other software, there are ways to fake it.

I used it in University to give presentations for classes and teaching. I have been able to insert media in the form of narration, music, and videos. I have even used in when teaching to teach students how to make games within Power Point. Once a person gets used to the menus and functions, it is easy and intuitive to use.

Over the last 30 years, Power Point has become more and more bulky. There are now too many functions and menus to keep track of. It makes one wonder how often and by how many people each of the functions is used. Is keeping it more basic better?

Due to the bulk and functionality being added, it has become more difficult to teach students with no, little, or basic understanding of computers.

PowerPoint is hands down the best presentation tool. Yes there are other alternatives (some are even free) but Powerpoint works especially if you need to work offline.

Integrating various elements like video, images, clipart and text to create a good presentation is one of the staples of PowerPoint but the new storyboarding feature lets you do even more with it. As a designer/marketer this feature allows us to demo concept ideas to our teams in a visual way. The "shapes" can give a presentation a video like look when presenting and the library of options This feature is probably the single best feature of PowerPoint in my opinion and why I keep coming back to it versus Google Slides. The number of presentation templates available also make this a no brainer as you can easily find free and paid versions to give you inspiration.

One con if you have PowerPoint without Office 365 is that you cannot save your presentations online and view anywhere on any device. This is where services like Google Slides are better and more effective but if you have an Office 365 account, you should be ok. Other than that, it is an excellent tool.

Microsoft Powerpoint just works. Dual screen mode when projecting from a laptop works just as you would expect, flawless. I quite often add talking points to my slides and these are shown on my notebook automatically and are not on the slides shown to the viewing audience. I can easily add graphics and transitions and fades into the presentation for effective presentations that capture the audience's attention.

Remote devices to step forwards and backwards in a presentation allows for easy transitions between slides while giving a presentation without having to hunt for specific keys on your notebook.

The included templates (and more online) make starting a presentation quite simple, and adding your own company logo and adjusting the pages for a new look is quick.

While trying to do simple progressive points on a slide (Line 1, then some time later, Line 2, etc.) and have the individual lines transition into view is not as simple as I would have liked. I try not to show 5 bullet points at once as the audience will read all 5 points. Instead, I show the first point and then talk about the point, then have point 2 fade in, talk about, and repeat for all 5 points. When the talking time is not even, it is harder to get Powerpoint to simply fade in, where I would like to do it with a show next slide sort of function. I have to move the topics to the next slide and show the next item that way to get it to work quickly when the delay betweens items is different lengths. While the creation of the third slide has points 1 & 2, and then 3 on it, the 4th slide has 1, 2, 3 and 4, and moving between them is easy, if I need to edit the bullet point, I have to do it on all the slides.

There might be an easier way, but I have not found it or spent much time looking for it.

While the slide format is nice sometimes however, you want to do more than just create a simple slide structure. While you can make some interesting presentations over time you wish you can create something that is completely different to powerpoints overall structure and this is where you might pursue another product to use.

Music will not play automatically. I would like to see more creative ability in customizing layouts and background design. I would like to see a function in which I can add automatic narration to my slides in PowerPoint.

It is very easy to create a presentation that contains audio, texts or attachments that we use to give talks and to deliver the material to the attendees with the presentation in ppt inside each sheet has embeded files, world, excel, pdf etc.
The variety of animations that we have available if we want to put together with effects and sounds the transition of the presentation

From the agenda we can create hyperlinks to the sheets that have the information of the subject to be treated and from that sheet a hyperlink to come back to the agenda.
depending on the presentation I used the option to save it as Macro-Enabled Presentation (.pptm) that you can not make changes to the file or simply save it as pdf are options that work for me when sharing presentations to clients or colleagues and that do not I want them to be altered.

Nachteile

If the presentation has a lot of information of images or videos, the file can be very big and run the risk of being broken or to transfer it or share it you must do it by means of a pendrive or sharing through a cloud that in my case use onedrive.

Because it is a document, it can easily be saved and sent, but there is a risk that it will be damaged by a virus. Also The default templates are not so original for the times that are running

The range of free templates available are very less. Majority of effective powerpoint templates are paid ones.
There are several formatting issues - with sizes if you want to re-use a presentation.
The designing of slides is still the old school way - you need to start from scratch, there needs to be improvisations and updates to the old way but still keeping things simple.
Powerpoint on the web is a little tedious and slow, not as good as Google slides online, but offline mode is not beatable.
Copy pasting from slides to documents also gets problematic, specially with tables - there are formatting issues.

When i try to access file from one drive or if the presentation include malware bytes the software crashes. Some times editing a information on a chart is quite difficult and it allows to edit only the whole slide than the pinch of data in that chart. Windows explorer does not show the ppt files some times.

According to my point of view, it is very easy to understand and use even for a fresher. UI is also very attractive and simple so that it is very user friendly. But it is very intuitive so that users can make creative and well-structured presentation. If you have a little bit of experience and knowledge, you can make stunning presentation.

If you want to see your presentation later,you can print the slides into paper handouts. There in printing you can adjust the size according to your preference.

Actually I do not have much cons to say but my suggestion is to introduce more themes and photo frames.

Also it is bit expensive to get genuine package and some themes.

Also if you face any technical difficulty in the middle of a presentation, suppose if your laptop shutdowns, there will be no copy to continue if you have not uploaded it to somewhere.

Otherwise, I actually really enjoy working with this software.
