Je trouve dommage que tous les raccourcis clavier ne soient pas répertoriés. L’impossibilité d’importation de fichiers gif de manière simple et efficace est également un défaut.

Il peut également entraîner de la nonchalance lorsqu’il s’agit de faire des présentations. Lorsqu’on représente une entreprise où qu’on enseigne un sujet, il est important de ne pas trop se reposer dessus. Le diaporama doit rester avant tout un support.

Autre point négatif, son prix. Ce dernier est assez élevé si on le compare à son concurrent direct Google Slide qui lui est 100% gratuit. J’aurais préféré l’acheter séparément les produits Microsoft au lieu d’un package coûteux.

J’ai été agréablement surpris de toutes les animations que l’on peut faire avec ce logiciel, notamment la création de petits dessins animés.

Les options comme le dessin ou l’enregistrement de son écran ont été les bienvenues sur la dernière version que je possède (version 2019) et m’ont aidé sur plusieurs projets.

Je trouve cela dommage que les meilleurs tutoriels que j’ai trouvé sont ceux faits par des utilisateurs sur Youtube par exemple, et pas directement par l’entreprise.

The only con I can think of when it comes to Powerpoint is I feel that it could be smarter than it is. For example, if you want to change your presentation slide template, you have to do it manually - one by one. I feel like there should be an option of changing the slide template automatically.

You can record yourself talking as if you are giving the presentation live, and you can also easily share Power Points.

While I have been fortunate that I have never showed up to a presentation with my USB drive to find PowerPoint WASN'T installed (see 'ubiquitous' above), it is a constant worry. It can easily be integrated with other apps such as Microsoft word and excel.

The cons of this software are that the important points and large amounts of in-depth information such as words when trying to make it fit in in one slide while at the same time trying to make it bold with large fonts is not easily entertain rather you need another slide for it since it is bulleted.

The features in PowerPoint seem limitless. I'm always learning new things. Guess that's not really a bad thing, but it can be hard to use sometimes. For example, the animations menu has lots of options. Trying to find my way around the animations on a slide and make sure they are in the right order can be challenging. Might be a trick to it, but I sometimes have trouble selecting the right shapes on my slides, or find myself needing to select a shape that is below other shapes. I can use 'tab' but still not intuitive and I often end up selecting and grouping/animating the wrong shapes.

You can go online and download different themes and templates of your choice. You can use it to take handwritten notes if you have a tablet. Recently I found out that the video editor is not as powerful as I thought it should be, you don't have the ability to reverse play the videos you insert into it. Maybe Microsoft will add this feature is a future update. Sometimes, the software crashes in me because of the size of the picture I paste on to a slide is too large. Other than that I really like it.

My biggest quibble is the slideshow mode, and the debacle with presenter view that often happens, if you have two screens. I want the ability to just show the PowerPoint full screen on both, but it wants to default to the presenter view on one or the other. That’s really annoying and should be fixed. And I’m sure there is a fix, but it needs to be more obvious, and intuitive.

A problem I have often faced with Powerpoint Presentation is that the information can only be arranged in a linear format, never can it be given a structure or hierarchy. I understand that is how this software was built and we have other software to do the other things but it would certainly be a nice addition to Powerpoint. Another point is in all these years of Powerpoint one thing has never really improved and that is interactivity of the Presentation with the audience. A step in that direction would also be massively beneficial.

From an administrators point of view, its a breeze to install office 365 applications and control access from the online portal. Installation is usually done in a kind of 'ghost' mode and requires no input from the user which is fantastic for large deployments.
From a user point of view I still think this is the most user friendly, intuitive and flexible presentation package you can get! While other packages might be free or similar, they always seem to be lacking in functionality, ive never really found anything I couldnt do in PP for generic presentations and I think Microsoft have got the mix of functionality vs ease of use spot on. Everything is laid out well, its easy to copy transitions etc to other slides and if you dig deeper has the more advanced features available like bundling media into the save file.

Nachteile

Files can become very large very quickly if you arent aware of what media you are putting into them, this can cause them to run slow etc. Its not an issue if you keep an eye on it, but for users that dont understand image resolutions and the effect of large videos etc it can become an issue!
