I have had very few problems with the software, although occasionally it will freeze and become nonresponsive. I don't know what causes this, but it will always resolve itself in a short period of time and make sure that my work is saved. This usually happens when I am trying to save my work after having taken digital notes.

You can use the suggested charts for making your data visual. The software also has a flowchart tool which, while not highly functional, is enough to make a presentation to higher ups.

Not sure if it's my new laptop or the software, but PowerPoint runs much smoother now. I can easily click and switch the order of the slides. In the past, this would cause my laptop to hang especially if the slides had a lot of content.

Although not heavily used by me, the animation and slide transition functions could use some improvement. The developers could add more complex and beautiful transition which would add impact to my presentation.

Powerpoint is the most used presentation in the world. This means that the possibility of finding somebody out there who has no knowledge of it is very limited. I use it alot in my freelancing jobs to do presentations in big organisations and I find it easy to use. I also like the notes section since it gives you a sneak preview of what you are about to present next rather than moving to the next slide and then you have to make decisions on what to say. The fact that you can embed graphics and videos is also a good thing and it is quite a versatile software. I also like the templates that are inbuilt with powerpoint and the fact that it gives you the chance to be able to download templates from the internet.

It has its limitations when it comes to apps and you normally have to create them in other sotware applications before moving them to powerpoint. Secondly I am not impressed by the way the slides appear when printed as they do not have the clarity the screen counterpart had. Slides also have a problem in resizing and I imagine when you want to put information in one slide it is quite a headache.

What I find most important and useful, is the fact that you can easily make changes across all pages, while also being able to make one small change without it affecting every slide. The ability to customize all the way down to your specific template gives users the ability to really make things their own quickly. Also appreciate how you can lock specific things in place, so that the same actions don't have to be taken multiple times.

Sometimes the default settings impede the speed with which I would like to be able to work on a project. Not everyone wants everything to start off exactly the same. It takes a bit of clicking through but you can eventually make the program leave you to your own devices!

I have been using PowerPoint for many years and I can honestly say that it is a great program. It is very easy to create as many slides as you need, fully equipped with your choice of text, pictures as well as audio. I love the feature where you can export your presentation to video so if you need to present it to a teacher or class in today's online/virtual schooling world, it is super easy.

I purchased Microsoft365 and with that PowerPoint was included with all of the unlocked features and I highly recommend paying for the full version. You do not get all of the features with the free trial and I know that one of my classes required me to export my presentation to video and without paying for it, that option wasn't possible.

It can be a little bit confusing at times to people are not used to the features in PowerPoint. The people who knows how to use Excel and word can relate that basically Word and Excel is dynamic to the presentation and features. The big deal is enough people do not know the how all the features can be used to make their work simple and presentable. The main reason am here as a con is I just want to encourage the manufacturer to keep on adding the features which has made it look so easy and neat to use. It is indeed true to be little difficulty to use but I trust that each year the manufacturers will do their best to improve.

Second, if you import from another presentation, it has the bad habit of bringing in another set of templates, which means you can change, say, the page number format and it won't apply to every page. You have to weed through the slide templates, fix or delete them, then make the changes. There is, as I recall, a way around this if you copy and paste special, but a straight copy/paste causes issues more often than not.

Lastly, the formatting options can be clunky, especially if you're manually inserting a table. There's not a good option for centering tables or other objects; you basically have to math it out based on object and slide height and width.

There's also this feature that looks amazing and always comes up with the right icons — "design ideas". It's been a lifesaver for me because my graphic design skills aren't exactly top-notch, and it's auto-generated so it saves me a lot of time.

PowerPoint tends to suck the battery from my computer quite quickly which is really concerning because it doesn't auto-save as far as I know, and if my computer dies without me realizing it I'll lose all my work. Also, PowerPoint files are huge because of how sophisticated they are and if you try to integrate it into less functional software you could lose a lot of what makes the presentation great. Also, there's a lot of options for what you can and can't customize and sometimes users don't always know where to find what, but I think a YouTube tutorial of some sort would do the trick.
