PowerPoint is versatile, adaptable software that adapts to the needs of all people, offers a simple interface, where texts, images, tables, diagrams, and audio and video can be added in a few clicks through hyperlink. Also it contains hundreds of animations to make presentations more entertaining and highlight important aspects, and in recent years have added hundreds of designs for presentations, increasing the range of options for all users. One of the most useful features is the Smart Art with which you can make schemes of processes, cycles and hierarchies in a few clicks. One can even design its own templates.

I really like everything related to PowerPoint, the most cumbersome work is to include tables in the presentations, since adjusting the sizes of the text is quite complicated, in reality there has never been a direct compatibility in PowerPoint and Excel, since Excel tables they do not automatically adjust to PP and you must make multiple adjustments so that they are displayed accurately in the presentation
In addition, when you want to rotate the figures they do not have control in the turn that you may have. On the other hand, the slides when having background figures, figures in general and many texts, become heavy for editing.

Recently, I began teaching through the Arise Platform. Currently, I service for multiple different companies like Comcast, Disney Resorts, and Dicks Sporting Goods. As a teacher, I teach three week classes at a time. For each class I am required to have PowerPoints. Microsoft PowerPoint moves quickly, is easy to navigate, easy to present, and even allows me to place extra notes for the students. It allows for citations, it allows you to input videos and images. It is easy for beginners and even professionals are able to use PowerPoints and be successful. Designs are quick and easy, it has a valuable amount of templates for whatever topic you may be presenting.

Nachteile

The thing I like the least about this software is how many different areas there are throughout the application. It can be difficult to navigate when first beginning to use it. It also allows for laziness when it comes to presenting for those who may be poor speakers. When owning a business or being a teacher it is important to not use your presentations as a crutch. I have seen many lazy instructors use PowerPoints for that precise reason. There is a large abundance of special features and I have seen through many presentations, instructors getting carried away with the features and it takes away from the meaning of the delivery.

PowerPoint is an exceptional software indispensable to a professional. PowerPoint has been a major asset during my university and professional presentations. PowerPoint allows me to give life to my writings, to make them more attractive and captivating for my audience, which is a real asset in a training context. I have been making training and awareness videos for a few years now and I use PowerPoint extensively in video editing to create animations, special effects and insert links. Powerpoint has greatly facilitated my academic and professional success because it allows me to make high quality presentations and create training videos with high added value for my clients. For me PowerPoint is more than a tool but rather an indispensable partnership.

Nachteile

What bothers me a little bit about PowerPoint is its complexity, it is very difficult to use power well for a beginner. There's not even a little training tutorial when you install it for the first time. Many of my colleagues use the basic functions of PowerPoint, less than 40% of the software's capabilities, which is a huge waste. The advanced use of PowerPoint requires hours of paid training which is a hindrance for users. The majority of the quality advanced training that I could find was only in English which penalizes users of other languages.

Powerpoint is very much like Excel; that is, it allows to utilize it for very simple functionalities up to very complex ones. Like Excel, you can perform simple tasks very intuitively and easy, however, when trying to create more complex presentations, it starts to get tricky.

I have used it for both internal presentations as well as client business reviews and it is very easy to adapt to each style and end goal. The fact that it has a common UI layout to the rest of the Office suite and that it is the de facto presentation format so that it is easy to send to other people outside your organization, is an added bonus.

Nachteile

I find the existing templates fairly basic. Moreover, the predefined shapes to include are not as diverse as I would have hoped.

In many cases, it is quite hard to include spreadsheets in the presentation and the only alternative is to add them as images. Finally, the end file size in most cases is so large that it cannot be easily shared by email (our business reviews usually include a fair amount of images in them).

- The most important thing needed to give a good presentation is importing your content on the slides. Microsoft PowerPoint does a great job at this. you can import anything from Pictures to tables to even video.
- The slides can be organized and edited as you like. The size of the slides can be adjusted which I found very useful for making posters.
- The presentation view is good where you can see your notes and also get an on screen laser pointer.
- Text, tables and image editors is amazing as seen in all Microsoft software.
- There is a big collection of animations to choose from.
- Finally the new inking features added to the new version of PowerPoint are very useful if you have a device with a digital pen. I use it for teaching students where I can just open a slide and start inking. It serves as a whiteboard.

Nachteile

- There is a learning curve to use this software.
- There is not a big collection of professional templates available for the software.

PowerPoint is simple, straightforward and provides just enough of a framework for me to always be able to make slides that I like and that exemplify what I want to share. I am not a very tech saavy person. Thus, while I was quite impressed when I first saw programs like Prezi, I quickly realized that - despite all the "bells and whistles" (and fancy moving parts) - I prefer PowerPoint's format. I am able to use PowerPoint when I teach in the classroom, when I do Zoom calls (and share the screen) and when I contribute to online lectures. It is very versatile.

Nachteile

The only things I do not like about PowerPoint are that: (1) I cannot (or have not yet figured out how to) edit slides like I do in a Word document. When I am reviewing someone else's slides in PPT, I wish it was possible to "track the changes" like you can in Word. You CAN add comments but I prefer the feature of being able to "strikethrough" text. (2) I am not fully certain of why PPT slides are sometimes in regular format and other times in the widescreen format. It confuses me when I am making a presentation to give in a new place. I prefer the widescreen mode but sometimes it does not seem to interface well on other computers.

It is such an amazing software that I have used so far. As making the presentation slides is very much important as equal to that of presenting it to audience, this application making our work so easy in this case. Inserting graphics, diagrams, featured text boxes, icons, videos, figures with various effects and shapes and etc... are very perfectly featured in to the application. Using each of the features is more easy and well organised.

Nachteile

It has so many advantages even though when updating the high loaded videos and animations, it starts to load the process. So, that getting delayed in the working process and also reopens several times when handling these huge files. And gets stuck when having so many copied files in clipboard. Also when updating the graphs from Ms Excel, it having a link to that particular file which again making the process slower. So this should be updated with linking the file with a compressed file or low memory file.

This software uses too old templates which are almost used by everyone in presentations. They should add a decent number of more templates so that users can use the new ones for presentations. The graphics of the software should also redesigned to make it user friendly for its users. This software has some graphic limitations. This software not runs smoothly in some computers as it consumes a lot of RAM.

I started using PowerPoint since I was on my secondary school for reports and all. It made it easy for me to do my reports because I can just copy from reputable resource online the things needed for my subject. It is easy but the quality is not compromised, and I look prepared and smarter versus my classmates who chose to do the traditional classroom reporting - writing on a board. Now I am at work, I am still using PowerPoint to do my board reports, and analytics. I find it helpful that PowerPoint provides new and fresh templates from time to time. PowerPoint's graph and chart are also helpful for me since it made it easy for me to discuss data analysis and data modeling easily.

Nachteile

What I least like about PowerPoint is that it is very simple that I can't do sleeker presentation unlike Prezzy. However, PowerPoint is easier to use than Prezzy. If only PowerPoint will step up and provide more automatic multimedia effects, I am pretty optimistic that it will continuously dominate the corporate world in creating presentations and alike.
