Vorteile

We used vFairs for a virtual job fair attended by 2,000 high school students enrolled in computer science. The software did an excellent job of translating the in-person experience to a virtual one. The gamification elements worked particularly well to motivate our young audience to fully experience the Fair. The customization helped us create an environment specific to our event, which was important.

We used the Exhibit Hall and Auditorium, both of which provided the experiences we hoped for. We did not have any live streaming but used live chat exclusively due to privacy issues and expected bandwidth challenges for our audience.

The customer service was excellent with regular check-ins, trainings and responsiveness to adding more components to our contract.

Recommend.

Nachteile

We did not integrate the software with existing processes and the Fair was free so we didn't have any experience with payment processes.

An area to improve would be more options with the live chat, such as being able to moderate questions and answers.

We have used vFairs for two conferences. We had very specific requests for holding our event which included live sessions with breakout rooms, on demand sessions, a poster hall, exhibitor area, and other content. The team was able to build a beautiful platform which was easy for the attendees to navigate. It gave the attendees the conference experience while viewing from home.

Nachteile

We had to use youtube to create closed captioning services for our on-demand videos. When the videos first aired it was hard for the users to activate the closed captioning services. However, when the videos went to on-demand status, the captions were easily activated.

No cons to report. We had a wonderful experience with Vfairs and any hiccups were immediately resolved thanks to having someone always available

The visual appeal of the platform is phenomenal, the fact that it looks like an actual exhibit hall is far and above what other platforms offer.
The ease of setting up the individual booths is also been a great asset.

Although the chatroom functionality was fine, I would prefer a message board format to the chat rooms so you can see the messages in a thread format.

The vFairs platform is very user firmly - both as the Administrator and the attendee of a virtual event. There were many opportunities within the platform - including video based events, chat based networking, and gamification. But the real benefit to the vFairs is the high quality customer service and the program manager assigned to our event. Working with our program manager, [SENSITIVE CONTENT], has led to a very successful experience in the past.

Scavenger hunt, leaderboard, and giveaways are easy to manage from the administrator side.

I am extrememly perturbed by the fact that I have t oemail Ashan when I need something changed. I would like to have the functionality that I can go in an edit what I need to edit without having to go through a middle man. The backend of vFairs is extremely cumbersome, and the support team has yet to provide me with any kind of user guide or list of all the features that could be available to us. We mostly learn about new things by accident when we stumble on them.

This has 'wow' features than having your standard Zoom meeting. The avatars are a great touch along with different looks for a lobby, exhibit hall, auditorium, etc. Also, our project manager, [SENSITIVE CONTENT], has been very responsive. We have worked on four virtual events.

Nachteile

There are limitations on look and design. For example, the way a recording is posted on the backend can look different on the frontend; I wish the display was more flexible.

The best part of the vFairs platform is the combination of access to DIY controls and partnering with a Project Manager for personalized assistance. We had both helping hands to guide us along, and the ability to make edits on the fly.

I disliked needing to set up mobile and desktop controls separately, for the virtual environment, but I understood why it was set up that way. I hope in the future the system can automatically adapt or allow you to check boxes from one control area for if something is accessible from both desktop and the mobile app. I also hope the registration platform gets enhanced and becomes part of the dashboard in the future.

We had planned a statewide mental health conference for this past May...then COVID hit.

My client has had their annual conference at the venue for 40 years and it is very unique, and iconic! Vfairs helped re-create a digital version of this in just 6 weeks. It was a beautiful digital venue...truly jaw dropping and had great networking opportunities for our sponsors.

We hosted over 40 sessions in 2 days. By having our conference online, many youth advocated and parents were able to attend. Usually going to the conference in-person costs an attendee around $1,000+ with food, room, and the conference price. This digital venue made it much more accessible and made our table much larger!

Nachteile

The networking features were really poor. We wish there had been more than just chat. We hope that next year, a video chat feature will be enabled.

Since vFairs is newer to the virtual platform scene compared to INEXPO and ON24, they're still developing things within their software.

Project managers were really very good. They were able to take concepts and help us make them workable. Graphics were engaging - attendees liked the virtual lobbies/halls/convention center and animations. Robust reporting. Value for the cost. Trade show/virtual booth design options and scalability. Great support on live days. Setup for presentations was pretty easy once we learned how to do it.

Nachteile

Limitations on some of the customizations. There weren't any user manuals. Would have been nice to have demo sites available for us to use in planning our event. Participants couldn't create a customized agenda. Participants couldn't modify or cancel registration information after registering - changes had to be made through administrative back-end.

I love the options and customization. The team was able to accommodate our need for diversity in the platform.

Everything was great. This is such a small meeting that there were many features we couldn't use. I look forward to hosting a larger event, so that we can use more features.

The software is easy to use, the only other features that could be added on is a waiting area for presenters and ability to play music while people are waiting. This may be available already and just was not available to us because we purchased the basic package.

vFairs was excellent with providing samples, and was willing to work with us to create a full blown Magenta experience for our candidates. Begin able to capture candidate data, load videos & content, have live sessions, chat and Interviewing capabilities. Its nice to know that you can use one platform for everything you need in a hiring event.

Cons and this was on us was allowing candidates to call / video call our support team during the day of an event.

It was the third time using vFairs and loved we were reconnected with our project manager [SENSITIVE CONTENT], who worked with us the last two times. The customer service she provided is very professional and clearly discussed how to use the backend of the website.

I can see the backend being confusing for those who are not familiar with CMS. That's basically it.

Received well by our clients and environment was impressive. vFairs platform went beyond just hosting webinars - was pleasantly surprised by some functionality like gamification, Swag Bag ability. Another added perk of it being browser based software, this really allowed for us to prevent technical mishaps from occurring.

Nachteile

Negative aspect was not being able to video chat with multiple participants at the same time (ie - group chat with video similar to Zoom). This would have allowed for better networking overall. Did not like that we had to refresh multiple times during the event (that wasn't even told to us by vFairs to do).

The visual appeal of the platform is immaculate. Once you enter the lobby, you are fully immersed in a virtual environment and perfectly mimics a physical conference. Users have the ability to walk around, chat to other participants, visit booths, play games, download files, watch presentations and so much more. And if any user isnt able to watch everything on the day, they can watch it anytime during a 1 month period. The features on this platform are amazing, they truly deserve an award for this. The customer support team is top notch! They assisted us tirelessly and responded to emails quickly. The team was able to integrate all of our ideas into a single amazing platform.

Nachteile

Id recommend that the chat feature be more integrated. Perhaps a small tab at the bottom right corner of the screen so users can continue about their tour while they continue their conversations.

Our team has been able to set-up different templates for the various events we host, which allow for a very different experience for our students/alumni. Each time we have a new experiences being set-up, vFairs is willing to review the various options and helps to make recommendations to make the event flow well. They also build a digital rendition of our buildings to give the feel of being on campus.

Nachteile

Participants who leave a room by clicking to another room, their name still appears. It makes it confusing for the booth operator to know who is actually still in their room.

Importing students/users in bulk was easy, no password requirement made student login easy

pulling booth engagement was difficult to streamline. 10 or 15 zip files all with 5-8 folders inside them was hard to organize into one single spreadhseet. lots of copying and pasting. would be helpful for there to be a total engagement section for each booth, instead of having to add each users engagement.

Being able to filter users/students by school and not just county would be great

Sabrina was always close to us even though physically she was thousands of miles away. Despite the time difference, she was always available and willing to support us in anything we proposed. For me, this is the best thing about vFairs, its people.

The platform is fantastic. Very flexible, capable of adapting to the smallest detail that we wanted. It's generally easy to set up and, if you like it and know a bit of html and css, it allows you to do a lot of things yourself.

It's not that I dislike it, but I think that the process of setting up the booths should be simpler, especially the loading of images for the banners.
Something that I lacked was being able to choose the type of avatars that are displayed in the different rooms (Hall, Auditorium, etc.). I would like to see some with more Latin traits.

The breakout chats were a little disappointing, as well as the comment sections. However, this may have been due to our organizations specific needs, which were somewhat different from the usual user profile.

Wonderful from the techs to the landing page to the updated Leaderboard for our gamification--everything was wonderful! Haleema is (as always) an amazing Project Manager! Always patient and flexible! We had wonderful customer service from the techs during the actual event who were great with our presenters.

The only clunky aspect is reporting but we got better at extracting reports the more we used teh platform. The content of the reports is good, it was just getting the nuance of how to extract.

We received very positive feedback on the platform from many different groups: members, sponsors, attendees, and speakers. Customer service is top notch. The vFairs team is super professional, patient, attentive and thoughtful. We could not have received better service to support this product!

This product was very easy to use for both the developer and the end user. Whatever you needed assistance with, the project manager was there to help. We were working on a very tight time schedule and [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] went above and beyond the call of duty. If something was set up (typically our request) and we didn't like the aesthetics, she would quickly attend to it until we were satisfied. The integration of our data, graphics and overall program worked without any issues.

Nachteile

The only thing that I would request is that an attendee be able to only use their login information on one device at a time.
