Great social media scheduling tool
Used for social scheduling, social analytics, reporting and overall management.
Vorteile
I have used a few different social media scheduling tools and have found that I really like Sprout Social. It is a good product for social analytics, scheduling and being more efficient.
Nachteile
The big con is it is much more expensive compared with other tools on the market. I am interested in see more value comparison for such a price difference.

Sprout is very well laid out and has many great features. It allows you to post to social media accounts and connect with the community.

I have not found and specific cons in Sprout, however, I did find it was a little expensive for small businesses.

Best social scheduler
Vorteile
I have used Hootsuite for social media management as well as SproutSocial and they are pretty tied in my book. With SproutSocial, I can assign tasks to other workers and it's easy to train others on how to use the software. Highly recommended for businesses with multiple people handling social media. The price is right too.
Nachteile
Not a big fan of the mobile app. It is buggy at times and sometimes takes too many extra steps to complete one task.

Fine for General Community Management

The preview feature is awesome. I like how the scheduling features are set up. They make it easy to track what is going out and control/change content posts.
Nachteile
- The data pulls can be glitchy.
- It would be cool to have more conversation monitoring outside of just account monitoring.

Ability to post across multiple platforms. Scheduling. There are probably many more functions that I am under-utilising.
Nachteile
Instagram posting is difficult. Training and webinar sessions are at times that are difficult (US) and I can't always access the recorded sessions at a later time.

Super easy to use
Vorteile
Very intuitive software. I had to learn how to use Sprout in a very short amount of time and it's so simple to learn. I have multiple clients with many different social media platforms and it took no time at all to schedule all of their content.

So far, I haven't found anything that I don't like.

Must have social media tool
Been using this product for almost 5 years and have switched off of a competitors for Sprout.
Vorteile
One of the best tools that does publishing, listening and analytics all in one. Most platforms only do one of those well and Sprout pretty much masters all three.
Nachteile
Honestly, there's not much. It's not really possible to track stats let's say for a specific event hashtag.

Nachteile
You can get lost in the reports but we have them auto forwarded so that helps. Sometimes hard to edit certain aspects of the posts.

Easy to use and manage multiple SM channels
Vorteile
The queue and scheduling features are very easy to use. The ability to queue retweets is awesome, too!
Nachteile
Some of the reporting is difficult to understand, initially. After meeting with a representative, though, i was able to get a good grasp on the analytics.

My SproutSocial Thoughts

Easy to set up and use
Easily publish content for several clients and involve many from our team (+ selective access to users).
Vorteile
Overview of the calendar posts to get fast input on content is helpful, ability to edit images as you publish content saves time, and the clean layout is appealing.
Nachteile
Confusion in IG app. (especially for those within a team who do not use the dashboard or the software often). Unable to 'test drive' upgrades to determine if the additions will be best fit.

Sprout gives a full social picture
Sprout is a great social media tool for analytics, engagement, reporting and management. The features are great and their customer service is helpful. However, the cost continues to be prohibitive.
Vorteile
I love all the detail that Sprout allows you to get into with social analytics. I also love the scheduling features.
Nachteile
I just wish it was more affordable. I've now done free trials at two separate companies that have both deemed it too expensive.

Overall pretty great, with a few minor issues here and there.
Despite a few minor issues here and there it still takes what would be an insanely time-consuming task and allows me to get it done in ~1-2 hours a week.

The CSV Downloads, All the info I need in a consistent format so my spreadsheet templates can format the data how I want
Nachteile
I do wish I wouldn't crash when attempting to get figures over large date ranges as it means I have to do multiple smaller data grabs and stitch them together

Vorteile
One easy to use dashboard with all of your client's social accounts connected. The best part is, it tracks mentions and growth.
Nachteile

SproutSocial Flawed System
Poor and unprofessional.
Vorteile
The marketing - really paints a picture of something the software is not.
Nachteile
Quite a lot. Lack of customer service. Unclear billing. Hidden fees beyond subscription plan. On-going fees and recurring costs with no clear indication of what these are for.

Vorteile
Sprout social is de oplossing voor wie niet elke dag of week wil bezig zijn met het posten van berichten op sociale media. Je kan de posts namelijk makkelijk inplannen via deze tool. Zo hoef je je geen zorgen te maken dat je eens een post vergeet. Het plannen van de content gaat heel vlot, één keer proberen en je bent ermee weg. Bovendien bewaar je in de tool een overzicht van alle socialemediakanalen van je bedrijf.
Nachteile
In Instagram Stories zijn er nog heel wat mogelijkheden qua stickers, links etc. Die zijn nog niet volledig opgenomen of ten volle uitgewerkt in Sprout Social waardoor je alsnog stories manueel moet plaatsen.

Good, Could Be Better

Allows you to easily manage and compare social media accounts for many client. Easy reporting and analysis through structured templates and graphs.
Nachteile
The analytics are easy to misinterpret, as the same data point can mean different things for different channels. I also would like to see more in-depth customization in the reports, especially for the cost of this tool.

Vorteile
The software GUI (user interface) is very friendly. You can generate quick figures, like histograms, and find out the peak trend times for words or phrases on social media.
Nachteile
This software is not conducive to use as a researcher/academic. It is primarily useful for a small business to see the forums and time periods in which market keywords are trending

Good but not great - Sprout Social
I was the administrator.
Vorteile
The ease of resharing previous posts. And the reporting capabilities.
Nachteile
It was impossible to get the image that was with the blog post into the queue. That meant I had to go out and search for, download and upload images for each post. That was time consuming and seems like it could be avoided.

The Smart Inbox and reporting features are gamechangers.
Both our follower numbers and engagement numbers increased by large margins after we started using Sprout. We were also able to improve our social listening and provide administration with reports to show that our efforts are working.
Vorteile
The Smart Inbox; it allows you see and interact with every social media comment and message that comes in throughout the day, making it very easy to engage with your followers.
Nachteile
The graphs within Sprout's reports do not always reflect the data accurately. I have had more success exporting the reports as .csv files and creating the graphs myself in Excel.

Sprout Social - Great Value?
I'm currently reviewing social media managers. Sprout Social is the first service I have reviewed and there are definite pros to a service like this. But I'm not 100% convinced of the value for dollar here.
Vorteile
Pleasant and easy to use
Supports all of the major social media networks
Scheduled Posts
Great reporting and dashboard
Nachteile
Expensive (starts at $59 per month per user)
Some features don't seem to have any value add over what the social network provides already.
The CRM side of things seemed lacking OR missing.
Some marketing claims are impossible to check (ViralPost)

Easily Schedule Social Posts
I'm able to more quickly and easily schedule social posts, and I love the Instagram first comment hashtag feature!
Vorteile
Sprout Social allows me to easily schedule social media posts every week and provides a place to house all of our images.
Nachteile
I wish it was better integrated with Pinterest. There's not a lot of options when it comes to Pinterest reporting.

Unlike other social media scheduling tools out there, Sprout Social provides more robust analytics and approval workflows to really help you team shine.
Nachteile
There really isn't much negative about the tool, it can be pricey if you are a small business looking for streamlining, but in the end the time savings are worth it!

I used Sprout Social at my last company.
Vorteile
It was really easy to set everything up and going! I also like that I can assign different team members tasks, and can schedule everything in advance and leave it alone.
Nachteile
I wish the reports you can pull could be a little more customizable, and the scheduling/publishing process could be a little more user friendly.

Sprout Social is a machine, yes - it has a lot of features that social media teams are going to love. Also, they have great knowledge base and materials released on a regular basis.
Nachteile
It it not intuitive and I found it quite expensive - we've been switching to Kontentino also for better client's approval features.

Great!
Vorteile
Ability to connect all of my social profiles in one place. One article and it posts to all sites at one time. The greatest area is the platform dashboard is self-explanatory.
Nachteile
The pricing is a bit high but just one sales pays off quickly.

I've done social media analysis with sprout social and it worked just fine to know the information I wanted to compare.

Great UX.
Customer service is great.
IT has different analytical reports.
Nachteile
I couldn't integrate sprout with Vimeo.

Great user interface

Great user interface. My favorite features are the reports, social listing tools (You can see who's interacting with your company or specific keywords you set up) and being able to 'check off' messages or notifications that you have seen or responded to already.
Nachteile
Sometimes there are bugs, which can cause functionality issues.
Also, things like LinkedIn Showcase Pages, Youtube, Vimeo, LinkedIn groups, Facebook groups to name a few cannot be scheduled or automated.

Very frustrating at times
Vorteile
This is a good tool for customer service as all the comments are in one location and it allows for regulated customer care. It is also a nice interface for usage.
Nachteile
The Instagram scheduling tool has a lot to be desired. The user still has to post at the scheduled time and this is then highly dependant on Wifi ... I realise this is connected to Instagram limitations, but it does not make scheduling easy... it really is doubling up on workload rather than a reduction.

Sprout Social lets you queue up social media posts without relying on 20 different social media platforms. This in itself makes it worth it to me!

I wish it included YouTube since this is a very big part of our social media analytics. It is also a bit pricey for the budget.

Tested out Sprout Social but ended up using a different software
Vorteile
I tested Sprout Social for my business but ended up using another software option. Between the price and the features, I was able to find another option that better suited my needs and budget.

The price was too high for the number of profiles that I needed to manage.
