It could have been great, but
I was happy with the software, but I was less than thrilled that I had a customer service person sending me messages of this sort.
Vorteile
I love the software. I found it to be intuitive and easy to use.
Nachteile
My point of contact sent me threatening, rude and unnecessary emails while I was in the hospital. I voided my contract before it became effective. Had it not been for this representative I would still be a Sprout Social customer.

Sprout Social
Overall the experience with Sprout Social is good. It’s fun and easy to use and the customer support is great and they want to help you. That goes a long way with any software.
Vorteile
I like Sprout Social as much as any other social media planning. It’s easy to use, it shows me how my monthly social media looks and how it’s planned and I get reports from it. It does it’s job well and it hasn’t really let me down.
Nachteile
I’ve noticed when I’m looking at my social media calendar for an account that it will glitch if I look at what’s planned for a day. If I just looked at what was being posted on Tuesday then click on Wednesday it’ll show Tuesday’s posts until I click out and click on it again. Nothing major but it can definitely mess a planner up when they’re trying to plan out for a month or two.

Excellent social media management.
This makes it easy for our social media teams to produce and schedule content at all times of the day.
Vorteile
Sprout makes it easy to pre-plan social posts. It takes a lot of pressure off of the hands of media managers. No more setting reminders through the day.
Nachteile
I wish the analytics features were a little bit more extensive. So far, the tools are helpful, but limited. I can do the same thing in the native app. (twitter/FB/insta, etc)

Great tool, strong analytics/reports/community management
Vorteile
I love the reporting that Sprout Social offers. As a social media marketer being able to accurately track what's working and what isn't is the name of the game. The scheduling tool is also great. I love the ability to duplicate past messages that performed well so seamlessly with the "send message again" functionality
Nachteile
There isn't a place to view your profile on the actual dashboard. The sent messages report in the analytics section shows what messages you have posted to various profiles but is cumbersome to get to. Makes double checking how a particular post you sent earlier that day is doing slightly more work than other tools like Hootsuite where you can easily access the content you've posted.

Glitchy but better than some of the alternatives

It was glitchy for us (continually disconnecting accounts), support was not very helpful, became not worth the price.

Easy to use
I appreciate the interface, the ease of use, and the analytics. And it's just super helpful to be able to plan content in one place. To be honest though, I keep alternating between Hootsuite, Sprout, and Buffer because I'm not sold on any one. Falcon would be my ideal but it's just so expensive.

Useful, but pricey
Vorteile
The built in CRM is useful for collaboration. I like that you can easily set permission levels and roles. The analytics are in depth and the mobile apps work well.
Nachteile
Sprout Social is expensive compared to other social media management tools. The scheduling tool feels a bit limited and I wish it could be more specific between weekday and weekends.

Supports our daily workflow and makes us more efficient as a team
I could not do my job without this software. It provides us with an all in one package of being able to work through the incoming messages and requests, as well as track and report back on our findings and our work. The publishing tool allows us to schedule all posts in advance and work across different timezones.
Vorteile
The interface is easy to work with and has a good flow, there is always amazing customer service whenever I need it. The publishing tool is developing over time and I like that the software is always developing and staying ahead in the industry, developing new features to make our job as social media managers eaiser. I also love all the additional written materials and webinars.
Nachteile
Sometimes it can be a bit slow to load and bugs do happen from time to time, but that's expected and they are always fixed in a timely manner.

Reviewal Process Difficult to Set Up
Vorteile
I like how the platform identifies the best times to post to each platform's audience on a particular day. This gives our content the highest chance of receiving the most engagement and reach. There is also an option to post the same post on multiple days which is nice when you are promoting an event or product.
Nachteile
I don't like the overall set up on how to set up your approval groups for content. It is very confusing and misleading. Before they updated the app, you were able to just click on the names of those who need to approve it.

Very good analytics reports/ spreadsheets and nice publishing calendar. Excellent support...
Convenience, good analytics. However the price is absurd compared to other tools.
Vorteile
The look and feel of the desktop site is great, very easy to navigate. I switched to Sprout from Hootsuite for the analytics; they don't have more access to insights than other tools, but the reports are much better than most other tools. There is excellent support, issues can be resolved in minutes! They follow up IT tickets very quickly too, you aren't left hanging. Literally the best service I've ever had!
Nachteile
They lack some of the functions of other tools like Hootsuite, but are catching up, like the recently added video and multiple images upload. The mobile app is very clumsy. The layout is overcomplicated/crowded and often bugs out (on multiple devices), either when trying to scroll to the sections of tabs/sections (too many!), or when sending a photo to Instagram/Twitter to publish. If you restart the app it works fine, it's just annoying.

Figuring out how to schedule posts can be complicated at first. There is always an alert that something is wrong. It can also be complicated to delete posts.

Overall Great Social Scheduling Tool
Great customer service as well as ongoing education like webinars.
Vorteile
Makes scheduling social posts out for several clients a cinch and you can easily see all your posts scheduled in a great calendar view. Easily track and monitor comments and engagement. Also gives great back end analytics on things like best time to posts, most engaged with content, etc.
Nachteile
Drafts don't save. You can't tag users or companies in posts and you can only post one image to Instagram at a time. Price can be a deterrent for smaller businesses or agencies.

Sprout Social Review
I used Sprout Social for about three years as a social media/community manager for a large ecomm company
Vorteile
Sprout makes organizing customer inquiries easier and I relied very heavily on queuing upcoming social posts, especially for Twitter where no such functionality existed in the platform.
Nachteile
It's a little light on practical features in exchange for a lot of bells and whistles I never used. Still, hard to beat for the price.

When you work in Social Media, there are so many things to take care of- coordination and user understanding shouldn't be the most difficult part. Sprout Social takes the intensity out of monitoring all accounts and helps make data clear and understandable.

Lacking in features, but overall a good bang for your buck
I was able to use a variety of social media analytics tools, such as keyword reporting, follower strength, and post performance. However, my initial reason for using the service, to get in-depth data on my followers, was not sufficiently satisfied.
Vorteile
Sprout Social compiles all the readily-available data from your social profiles into simple, easy-to-use categories. These include top followers, a publishing calendar, and more.
Nachteile
However, as noted previously, most of the data displayed in Sprout Social is available using other services that are free online. For example, seeing people who don't follow you back, your top followers, and scheduling social media posts are all possible to do without using the tool. On top of that, some features are noticeably missing. There is no robust analytics page, and it's not possible to find the followers with the highest engagement. In other words, features are scarce. On the other hand, pricing is competitive when compared to similar services such as coSchedule. Ultimately, the value is dependent on what type of agency or company is using it.

This business is a sham. They billed the card on file twice for various months and refused to give an explanation. Also, all of its feature are now basically available for free through meta admin panel.

Its features in 2017. Back then it had innovative features, but not today. They are available for free.

Great product. Customer services is a joke.
Saves time.
Vorteile
Easy to use. Saves time. Good value for the money. I will just say that there are more cons than pros. However, the pros outweigh the cons. As long as I am only using the software and not dealing with the people on the phones everything is fine.
Nachteile
Customer service people are rude, ignorant and not knowledgeable about the products. I have tried to upgrade packages and features multiple times and just give up because the people answering the phone have no idea what is going on. Then I get kicked around to a handful of different people who all claim to be my account manager. Then they pass the buck and on and on. As a result, I have decided not to upgrade or add to our current plan on multiple occasions.

Sprout Marketing Review
Overall this tool was very simple and easy to use. I have used other tools like sprout so it was a program I picked up very quickly. Not much training involved and is very straightforward of a program to understand.
Vorteile
It is an easy and simple platform where you can schedule all your post for months out and not have to worry about it later. It take the pain out of having to do it daily and on each individual platform.
Nachteile
What I like least is that you can only have one feed view, which is twitter. I would be nice if we could have a feed view of both the business pages for Facebook and LinkedIn. That way we can have an idea of what's going on, on all social platforms on one pane of glass.

I work for a social media agency and Sprout allows me to pull relevant data to share with my clients. It allows me to see what content is resonating with the community and adjust accordingly.

Ease of reporting - very intuitive to use the software. Reports are clean and provide actual useful data.
Nachteile
The 'sent' messages do not provide the best screenshots - a bit difficult to read or get full information without clicking down. Would like more options to sort top posts. Would like listening to be included vs. an add-on expense.

Vorteile
Sprout is an absolute necessity when managing multiple brands in multiple states with multiple social media platforms. Without Sprout, the shear amount of time needs to tend to social would be crushing. Sprout Social makes it super easy to schedule posts, modify them and look into advanced metrics.
Nachteile
The core features of Sprout Social are easy enough to learn. The advanced features definitely take some time but are well worth the effort. It is both ready out of the box and a learning curve which may turn off some users.

Liking it so far
Vorteile
I find the usability and functionality to be an improvement over its closest competitor. I like the navigation and reporting features and find it to be easy to get up to speed on using it.
Nachteile
I am daunted by the changes that some of the social media platforms have implemented and the workarounds Sprout has come up with to address this. Unfortunately, and I believe not at all their fault, this means having to sign in to manually post anything with more than one image and with video. My customer service rep knew less about the product than I did, so that was a bit frustrating and put us a few days behind on our efforts.

Very Good Product

love the platform but there are some drawbacks.
it makes reporting to my clients a bit easier. it helps me keep track of complaints and queries and not miss anything. Loved that i can do it all from one place but I can't really yet, when i need to schedule something i have to still use the separate platforms because of limitations. i also still have to use Instagram by itself for posting, messages and reporting because sprout is insufficient for that. I still gavd to use facebook and twitter for reporting as well as not everthing is available on sprout.
The complaints i have to manually type into a spreadsheet because there is no option on sprout for this.

you cant schedule a post with more than one image either, each photo goes through as a separate post on Facebook and Twitter. you cant schedule a photo post with a link either, it ignores the photo and uses the link.

It's the best I have tried
Vorteile
First of all, I am absolutely loving the almost full-feature free trial they offer, unlike other SNS tools which I also tried with. The dashboard is great, UI and UX has met my expectations, a couple of new BETA features. The influencer and keyword search tool is something extra useful.The analytics is exactly what I was looking for. The support is helpful and I would definitely recommend it to any company with more than 1 team member for social marketing department.
Nachteile
I wish there is a personal plan for a smaller social media team. It is not practical for individual to pay for an enterprise pricing.

We've been pleased with Sprout Social - it has saved us a huge amount of time!
As I mentioned before, it saves us a ton of time. We manage social media for 20+ clients, each with 3-4 platforms. This enables us to give high quality content curation in a shorter amount of time.
Vorteile
User-friendly, clean platform, integrations are good, definite time-saver. I would recommend this software if you're an agency managing 5 or more clients.
Nachteile
The reporting - I check it against GA, and it's off. I don't find it's comparing apples to apples, so I tend to not use it. It's too bad because the graphs are excellent visuals. But the data is questionable.

Easy social management and reporting
Without Sprout Social, managing all our clients' social media would be near impossible. Having the information all in one place, allowing for quick overviews is a life-saver.
Vorteile
I've yet to find another social service with the functionality that Sprout has. We do client work, and it allows us to easily track each client individually. Reports are clear and the task function makes it easy to delegate work.

I wish the reporting had more options to year changes year over year.

As a social media manager, this tool is a MUST! It's perfect for keeping track of growth and stats for all social media channels. This tool is great for any kind of account. I use this for both small and big accounts!

Depending on the size of you account... it can get VERY expensive! Their customer service is slow with responding and their dashboard is a little hard to navigate.

Perfect for keeping a bird's eye view on our community
Vorteile
Excellent customer service, they reply very quickly. We use the tool to keep track of who our clients are and take notes on each so every one is on the same page when speaking to our clients. Very easy to use.

Managing all your social networks
Sprout Social is a tool that has allowed me to organize and plan my social networks, in addition to simplifying my work and saving time that I can invest in developing other aspects of my entrepreneurship.
Vorteile
It has a great design, friendly interface and it is easy to learn how to use it. It is wonderful to be able to schedule the publication of the content on different platforms from Sprout Social. You can also obtain data and KPI, as well as you can do audience research, all with the same software. Also depending on the plan you can manage several profiles of social networks and monitor them from the same user.
Nachteile
It's a bit expensive for small businesses or people who want to manage their networks. It is designed for solid companies with different work teams. Also, functionally speaking, it is not very comfortable to work with Instagram, I feel that as the platform is more robust and efficient for certain social networks to the detriment of other.

I love the scheduling feature. I use it daily and it's a lifesaver.
Nachteile
Instagram posts require manual posting. You can schedule posts but then you still have to go into the Sprout Social and Instagram apps and post it.

So easy to use!
We can have multiple users scheduling, reviewing and publishing all in one place
Vorteile
LOVE that it is super easy to use, and that I can see ALL of our clients in one place, on one calendar. Really like the "drafts" feature too!
Nachteile
Not too much to complain about, really like that there are different ways of viewing the content that we upload each month

Publishing and Competitive Social Reporting
I'm still learning where everything is. In reports and I'm quickly noticing the limitations for performance reporting. As a social media management platform you should have some way of helping to visualize competitive comparisons for the landscape of profiles we are watching.
Vorteile
Everything is all on one place so I don't need to use more than one platform to schedule posts for my clients.
Nachteile
There is a limited number of Emojis and I can't figure out why you don't have all of them. I also don't love how your graphs and charts are not exportable. When I report on competitive performance against my clients competitor profiles I have to screen grab the charts and I don't have the ability to customize them to fit our clients reporting deck. In my opinion, that data should be accessible so that I can format it to fid my needs. I also wish in the reports for competitive you had a way to rank posts by total engagements. Not just by comments, likes, or reactions. More measurement tools would be nice.

Good social insight tool for a social media manager
Vorteile
I had a chance to use this software for free trial period alongwith various other tools to analyze which one is best suited for my agency. To my suprise, this tool has turned out to be good for scheduling and generating reports monthly. Also, the paid features are pretty good.
Nachteile
Two things which I wish can be resolved or find alternative to.
1. If instagram can be integrated somehow. currently the app gives you a reminder for your insta post and it doesn't post directly.
2. Costs can be worked seeing there are lot of cheaper tools in the market.

It's okay, not great.

I like being able to quickly glance at my social activity without having to load up each individual websites and open up multiple screens
Nachteile
The aggregate feed screen is not very good, it's cluttered and action buttons are not very intuitive.

Sprout Social
I like using Sprout Social when I need to collaborate with others, get approval on content and schedule various pieces of content on multiple channels. The analytics are a great asset. The tool makes content creation and management easy, so your team can focus on strategy rather than execution.
Vorteile
Great interface! It's really easy to use. It's great for managing multiple channels and even multiple accounts. The analytics are really easy to understand, I definitely prefer them to other tools I've used (like Hootsuite).
Nachteile
It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for. At the end of the day the analytics and ease of use are what's most important to me.

99% of the time Sprout works great, & the other 1% their support & client teams are on top of...
Vorteile
The ease of use and multiple functions are the biggest plus to Sprout. I've worked with other management platforms whose layout just didn't make sense as the purpose of social changed. Sprout adapts quickly in comparison to their competitors. It's easy to use so even people who aren't social-first team members catch on quickly.
Nachteile
There seems to be a reoccurring bug where the number of items in the inbox don't match the total number of messages left displayed. This can definitely be annoying at times, but happens rarely and the support team is always happy to reset on my behalf.

Love my Sprout!
I was an early beta tester so I've enjoyed watching it evolve. Sprout is a very powerful yet simple social tool for publishing and customer service. They were one of the first to offer geo-targeting in Twitter. Pricing has gone up in the past year but is still well under the price of other tools that are less powerful. Great for small teams or single users.

Needs improvements
Vorteile
UI and UX are excellent, very easy to use and without unnecessary add-ons, very clean look. Usability after the queries are built is huge and the possibility to answer to clients directly through the platform makes it an excellent tool.
Nachteile
Creation of the advanced query, I think it needs to be less complicated and should allow more complex query creation. When updating a query, this creates a new query and removes all the filters we requested previously, such as back data.
Not fully integrated with Simply Measured, which makes us have to use two platforms to complete our work.

SproutSocial is great for visual planners and easy to create messaging-per-channel on the fly
It's straightforward and easy to start using quickly.
Vorteile
The guidance the platform offers for each channel, helping to select the right time, word length, keywords, etc. to ensure your post is best suited for each channel. The calendar is crucial and the color coding and ease to drag things around makes it simple to maintain.
Nachteile
It would be nice if one "post" could be tailored to each channel and scheduled for each channel without having to duplicate and update for each channel.

Loved it, wish my smaller clients could afford it
I used this software when I worked for a large corporation, which helped us afford it. The ease of use and monitoring was amazing, it was such a good tool. I wish my smaller clients could afford it, I far preferred it to other services.
Vorteile
So easy to use and the inbox was a lifesaver for making sure I responded in a timely message to all incoming messages. IT really makes it easy to be responsive and keep an eye on the conversation around your brand.
Nachteile
So pricey, it keeps me from being able to refer smaller clients to it. Also, the chrome extension used to be a bit weird and would bounce me out of the web version if I was using the chrome extension at the same time. kind of annoying but not a deal breaker.
