Vorteile

Float greatly eases the allocation and deployment of resources in our day to day activities. It give a clear, visual representation of what deployment looks like. It has integration with popular calendars so thats also a big help. The UI is pretty intuitive with a slight learning curve.

Nachteile

There are some features that a intermittently buggy, but that's to be expected as the product is continuing to develop and improve. Would love to use a native app version for this on a tablet or on iOS

Its fast and user friendly. team meetings go a lot faster now and we have more time to do actual work. One last feature is that make easy to coordinate work between teams in the company.

Our company accountan software is based on Deltek and we need to log time twice, one in float and one in deltek so it will be nice way for this 2 to interact or add a package for accounting.

Float allows you to track and log time for my many different projects. As a freelancer this makes it easy and helps move away from the spreasheets! Also love you can set each project hourly rate to manage monthly invoices.

We use this to allocate our resources weekly and it is a great visual tool to do that and to be able to visualize if you are fully booked and provide next start dates for projects.

The setup is fairly easy, the product is self explanotry and the overview is very easy to read and see. You can quickly check what all the planned tasks are for everyone. also the app with notification is a great addition.

I am a new user of Float after coming to this company recently. I have found the transition from my previous scheduling/tracking software pretty seamless with minimal adjustment necessary. The user interface is friendly and easy to navigate.

For use in my department, the main con that I've found is an inability to modify tasks created by other individuals. I'm not an admin but I run a department and would like to edit/modify tasks created by others.

It's easy to use and schedule future projects. There are some room for improvement, however, for the amount of usage for now - it's very convenient.

There is no sync in between the category and the color. For example, if I create a new project, I have to manually check project category color and input it myself.

That once you get the hang of it is great tool for my team (about 40 team members). The big board gives great overview and the filters work like charm! As long as you have set them up correctly. This took a bit to click through all the team members but once done it make traffic management SO much easier!

Nachteile

Lack of multiple currencies, very cumbersome managment of retainer projects (those that need to be repeated month by month). Phases don't really work for me as it's too much maintenance and it's not the easiest to do

What I like the most is its intuitive and easy-to-use interface. I love how visual it is, with bright, light colors that make planning very visual and easy to understand. Also, I love the real-time view of team members' availability, including holidays and time off. This helps me assign tasks effectively and ensures that I don't overburden any team member.

While this platform offers a lot of useful features, there are a few areas where I feel like it could use some improvement. One of them is the lack of a built-in time tracking feature. While I can assign tasks and see my team's availability, I can't track the time spent on each task within the platform. This requires you to use an additional tool to track and record the time spent on each task.

The leads of our team use Float to manage and share the allocation of their resources with the head of the department. It's a very intuitive, useful product that really helps us coordinate our work as a team. It's easy to create new projects, assign them, and change the allocation.

When amending the allocated time, it sometimes lags — but there are no major issues.
