I find the tool easy to use once one gets one's head around toggling between "logged" versus "scheduled" when on the Report view.
Nachteile
I would like to be able to click "start" and "stop" when starting and stopping an activity on a project. One often doesn't remember how long one worked on an activity and being able to use Float to do this would be very helpful. I would like to see a better report dashboard that shows, for example, percentage of budget spent and what the margin is.

Great visual task manager
Really good

That is just all on sight and allows me to see my workload for the day/week.I also can plan ahead, and manage all the projects I work on.
Nachteile
Time tracker doesn't have an actual tracker, you have to fill in the time manually. So I need to complement that by using another app.

Easy To Use
I like how easy it is to use it and anyone can use it.
Vorteile
It is very easy to use and helps me and my coworkers to track our tasks and schedules. Notes can be added to the tasks and it makes it easier to find details about each task. We also use it to communicate our day offs and personal appointments, etc. with our team.

Perfect for our team
Vorteile
Does what it says on the can! The app itself is intuitive, lightweight, and isn't bloated with features. It was easy to set up thanks to a detailed Help Center and a great onboarding team. The Float Community Slack channel is also an excellent resource.
Nachteile
There are a few additional features I'd like, but the Float team is pretty transparent with their roadmap, so I'm confident most of those will be added in the coming months.

Project timeline management made easy for our team
As always, coordinating between projects, especially in consulting, can be difficult. We started using Float last year to support our firm's efforts across multiple client projects. Generally speaking, it's been a pleasure using Float to better manage project timelines. In particular, my firm's managers appreciate Float's ability to make resource management easy to visualize and understand with a quick glance.
Vorteile
Overall, the visual resource planning with Float is superb. It's very easy for our teams to track progress across projects. Project managers have high transparency and visibility into 'resource' (aka analyst/associate) staffing, and this has made delivering projects on time much easier than before. Assigning resources between team members is also very easy.
Nachteile
There was a slight learning curve for some of our team members, but that's really the only drawback we experienced.

The tool that transformed the way I manage my team
Integration with other communication and project management tools has been a highlight because I have been able to centralize information and communications on a single platform, which has made it easier for team members to collaborate and coordinate.

Float makes the most annoying part of my job a lot easier
The biggest business problem that Float solves for my job is keeping accurate logs of billable hours. This is a huge help to the people that resource my work and helps me keep tabs on where I'm at with individual projects.

For the most part, it's a user friendly software that helps me track hours and stay accountable for progress in real time.
Nachteile
Splitting tasks can be tedious. I also find it frustrating having to hide resources that aren't currently available.

It's good for scheduling but not for project management
Vorteile
It's easy to schedule a task and move it around. The API is there and its rather easy to get the data out of the tool.
Nachteile
I don't like how the tool looks, visually. Especially the project planning part. Many basic features that are available in other project management tools are not available, for example the Gantt chart is not really there. The reporting part is very weak. A lot of people in the office like the tool, I think, but for me it's not the best because of some basic things are missing. We ended up using Qlik to build reporting part and the Gantt chart.

It's difficult to know how exactly how my next week will go, and where I'll spend my time. Float allows for flexibility as I can track time to different clients easily, without lots of admin or support.

Float just works
Float is a part of my daily routine. I used to report my hours to a supervisor via email, which became very difficult to track back if I was asked about a particular day earlier in the week or month. Logging time is a necessary evil and Float makes it easy.
Vorteile
It's great that Float updates live. I can have a chat with my account service team and watch the schedule populate as they fill it in. Being able to see my availability at a glance (or whether I'm over capacity) is a great feature.
Nachteile
It would be better if I could disable email reminders from float at a user level. I could not find an unsubscribe option when management decided I needed a daily reminder email.

Really nice interface and very easy to use. I use this to track time and keep up to date with what projects I'm working on. It's very user friendly and great that it has the ability to be linked to outlook to ensure my calendar is up to date.
Nachteile
Nothing, I don't use it as much as others may within my team so don't know about the full capabilities but from a time management perspective i think it's the nicest platform i've used.

I like the overall look, minimal interface and many helpful tooltips and on hover states. I find this product generally looking modern and intuitive.
Nachteile
Visual differences when reporting same amount of hours on different days: For example - on Monday I was working on 1 project and on Tuesday they were 3 projects I was involved in - I report the same amount of hours, but the length for those days varies due to gaps between projects. Visually I see that I reported different length (height of cards). I remember feeling confused when logging my hours for the first time. It would be helpful to see them all visually aligning at the bottom if in total there was the same amount of time.

Very happy with Float
We are able to track availability and schedules of employees in our entire department without needing anyone to specifically manage this.
Vorteile
We wanted a way to easily track productivity and schedules for the staff in our office. We also use the tool to help staff with forecasting their schedules.
Nachteile
Float has been very easy to integrate. I am not familiar with all the functions, but right now we don't have reminders set up through Float which would be useful to remind staff to utilize it.

Vorteile
It gives a great overview of fees spent on projects in real time as team members log their hours, and is broken down into different phases. This makes cost management for a project manager accurate and easier.
Nachteile
Reporting functionality can be better by having an option to capture estimates vs actuals not just scheduled vs logged. Employee hourly rates don't update in bulk on all of their projects, meaning it must be manually done on every single project, resource by resource.

It is easy to log time towards specific projects and tasks for each of those projects. Having the ability to add a note as a reminder of the exact task to which the time was logged is particularly helpful.
Nachteile
The scheduling homepage is not intuitive for the new user. The home page should clarify that the scheduling page is not the logged time page.

I appreciate the customer service. [sensitive content hidden] is the best and deserves a raise.
Nachteile
I don't like the "trainings" they offer. It's by a young 20-year-old-girl who is clearly doing a job for a paycheck. It's super quick, very surface level and not very helpful. As a company, I would record trainings that are actually helpful and save the money you're paying her.

It seems to me that its price is economic, besides for a company not as big as ours it is useful for us.

You can work remotely by assigning tasks as optimally as possible and in real time. In addition, by having an intuitive interface, collaborators tend to contribute more.

For companies with a more complex organization, it would require other complementary software to develop more advanced functions such as the development of complex reports.
