Very easy to use and easy to understand. This tool keep track of my work everytime and what's in list next tell everything. I enjoy this tool on regular basis. This tool tell me my schedule before one day. It has also a best and fast customer service. Split booking is very handy as well.

Nachteile

I never face any problem with this awsome tool.  Best tool of resoursing software. I want to add one thing that it has no undo button if I click booking wrongly otherwise everything great.

It's a modern Interface that enables verry good Visual overview of Resources. Staff need verry litle training to use the tool and it has been easy to implement.

When searching for an Activity it does not show the NeXT logical occurance, making it necessary to scroll a lot to find it.

Cost. We don't have to limit how much we add to the schedule (people or equipment) because of the licensing cost. Because of that we use it more extensively and therefore get even more value from it.

The pictorial Guru and daily saying I like personally, but I have heard the comments from the [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] and [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] that it takes away from the professional feel of the program.

We can integrate resource guru with other tools like jira and zapier. This shows us the realtime information like the current resources of a specific project and it helped a lot a team to find the booked resources and their availability.

One downside is the price of the paid version which varying with the resource count.

It is a very easy tool to schedule resources. you can extend tasks across weeks, split tasks, duplicate tasks across different team members. It is visual and easy to use. It allow us to understand who is working on what projects.
You can customise and filter resources by teams and you have a reporting tool where you can see by week how is your resource utilisation.

Nachteile

the Zoom -+ button will only show present week or next 6 weeks. It would be good if you can select how many weeks you want to see, between 1-6 weeks to visualise on the Schedule tab.
sometimes when adding many tasks on a day for one resource, you create overtime unnecessarily it would be good to have a button/option to distribute same amount of time to all the tasks for a day, taking the amount of hours the resource works a day.
Reporting- when reporting who is working on what project, it would be useful to have the percentages of time spent on each project.

The tool is brilliant if you want to use for your day to day scheduling work . It lets you book resources and also see what projects they are currentls working on . It has an option to see what each individual expertise is .

it hangs sometimes but thats normal & also owner is not always notified if someone has made a change to a schedule

This program has been a vital part of out organization. I use this every day to schedule all of our resources for all of our projects and even PTO. We then download this information and use it to help forecast our revenue. It is incredibly easy to use and manipulate. The Beta is amazing!

I would like it if you could add a rate to each booking. That would make it easier to forecast revenue. Other than that, the product is great!

I love using Resource Guru to schedule our team's time. It's so easy to learn and use. Being web-based, I can use it from anywhere, which is a major lpus.

I wish I could make tasks recurring, but that's not a major drawback. Also, it would be nice to be able to see more detail of each task without clicking into it. But in a way, it's simplicity is better than fancy functionality.

That you can easily move jobs around if they need to change and can book off holiday time and meeting time so that you don't overbook yourself.

I dislike getting the email with my daily schedule at midnight. I'm not sure if this is a company setting, or if the email could be moved to a more useful time or cancelled completely. It would be helpful to get an email if your schedule has been changed for the next 48 hours or similar.

would like the option to customise the order of appearance (ie drag and drop). it also desperately needs an App! Could also do with the ability to customise the height of the rows so you can fit more in one view (I have 48 people I need a birds eye view of and the row height is a bit of a waste of space). Also the dashboard doesn't have wait list on it which is a pain for users. The reports are a it archaic as well so would like some more options there.

What I like most about Resource Guru is the user friendly interface and the drag and drop feature. I like the feature that lets one drag a project onto multiple days and then divide it and update the number of hours for the new days.

Nachteile

Sometimes editing an a already created item can be difficult to figure out. Often I delete the incorrect item instead of editing and create a new one.

We've been using Resource Guru for about a year now to keep our postproduction department team members organized. It has been great to have a visual representation of everything the whole team is working on and what stages of all our projects we are all currently at. It is great to manage the department's bandwidth and to ensure everyone has a balanced workload.

As a basic user, I really d not have any criticisms of the software.

Recently my favourite feature has been the ability to organise groups of people into teams. It really helps with quickly identifying shifts and availability in mine and others teams.

Our issue is the time availability settings. Our work is set across multiple projects that have ever changing start times outside of the'9-5'. Since we mainly use it for operational shifting rather than day to day planning, we have to set everybody as available 12 am to 12pm everyday.

The product is easy to use and allows the administrator to manage teams, plan and review previous activities.
It can be used for recording or planning and gives a level of visibility that is lacking in a number of products.
Although the team are constantly looking at ways to improve the product, it never strays away from its core and prime functionality. Many products try to grow into a bigger, wider space and lose the key elements that attracted customers to the product in the first place.
A customer of ours was so impressed with the product that they too purchased it after seeing the value it afforded us.

Nachteile

It would be great if there was an App which could be opened rather than a web browser, although this is only a minor consideration with the number of browsers out there.

Reporting is powerful but misses some core details like how much time is remaining on a certain customer (for fixed price, or limited POs)

The tool really makes time management easy and extremely visual. It does away with ugly excel spreadsheets and with a neat UX, it allows for easy time forecasting whilst also enabling you to easily keep on top of your time expenditure! I genuinely love this tool.

Along with the tool, where there are areas for improvement, the development team are happy to listen and actually make changes based on feedback! I've provided feedback with a couple of times and both have been integrated into future updates - this is a company that listens and constantly develops for the users' needs.

Nachteile

Very difficult to outline any main cons, as like I said above, any issues I've had with the tool historically, they've been resolved!

If I HAD to provide one, it'll be how the tool works across different devices. It's not especially mobile friendly...but that's me scraping the barrel for a con.

I use this software everyday, I look which projects are planned in my week, see how much time resources I have - it really helps me schedule my day and gives me the needed structure. I can also see how busy my Colleagues are, before asking them for help or giving them a Job for a specific project.

As a User I can't make any suggestions for my schedule or comment on specific tasks. I'd have to be an administrator.

The ability to make an easy to track the projects I am assigned to each week. The department may switch to from a day to day basis to a very specific project for months, so Resource Guru is very helpful for plannig and follow.

I do not believe the software is lacking anything of relevance, or at least I cannot find anything missing in the way I'm making use of it.

Resource Guru is easy to set up, adapt and use. It gives us a great overview of projects and resources and supports us across the board - from client discussions to delivery to reporting.

The user interface is excellent, and I can easily see projects I have been booked on with the number of hours I am supposed to work on them. Again I can easily see who has gone on leave and those who are about to leave. I can also see projects my colleagues are working on and how long they have been booked. I also get email notifications daily concerning my bookings on projects.

I really enjoy using resource guru, and I don't have any complaints about it. The team should look at adding more useful features that might increase its importance and efficiency

Resource Guru is easy to use, and is updated to continue to make the product better for the customer. The repeatable booking function is fantastic. I would highly recommend this software.

As a company with a lot of jobs, it can take time to add in or remove job numbers for bookings.

At a glance I can see daily what each member of my creative team are working on. I can manage the flow of work easily and see where the availability is for more work to be assigned. The software is easy to use and the best I’ve used in my 25 yrs of working in television.

We were hesitant at first because of the pricing but after using it for a few months we realized that it became a most for our Staff Augmentation business model. Our Capabilities team couldn’t survive a day without it.

Easy to keep track of time spent on projects and work as well as upcoming team days off and time allocation. Once projects have been setup and/or have that first entry, you can easily drag and copy frequently time spent project across each day. I think booking time and allocating time is probably the most advantageous if you're using Resource Guru.

I personally found filtering to be a bit cumbersome, if I was trying to track down a specific project I worked on in a certain period, the filter features gets a bit fiddly.

external calendar (ie Outlook) integration could be improved. Booking holiday for multiple people/resources at once very easy, wish that functionality could be extended to non-holiday bookings

The software is easy to use and intuitive so that the learning curve is very short. No formal training was required and I was using with just a few minutes.

The sending of my items to my email is a really good feature.

Our use of Resource Guru is sort of out of the box. We use it for scheduling barn space in the Agriculture Industry. The support team has always stepped up to find ways to enable Resource Guru to fit with our unique needs. If it works this well for our out of the box use, imagine how well it works for it's intended purpose. For us, the reasonable price has been worth the gamble of using a software not meant for our intended use.

Nachteile

In our out of the box use, the biggest con - is the speed at which the software moves from page to page. However, this might not be Resource Guru's fault. It could be our internet capabilities, or the amount of data we plug in for our purpose. For our use, I'm looking a 15-17 week time frame, like most people look at a 8-10 hour work day. If you use the software as it's intended, this probably wouldn't be a problem.

All of the features that RG offers are in newer more UX focused tools. There's nothing in RG that really stands out about what I like the most.

The filtering, when I want to search for one of my projects, I only want to see that project. I don't want to see every person who's ever worked on that project in a list and show everything that they're working on at the moment.

It is extremely easy to acquire and operationalize. Very short learning curve in how to use the software.

During the first use of the product, the editing capabilities were a little awkward but this was mostly due to the need for internal adaptation of the use of the software, in addition, the software is being continually updated based on customer input.

How easy and intuitive it is to use, makes planning and reporting of daily tasks very simple.

Availability scheduling is in 30 minute increments, which makes it tricky for adjusting. The option for a custom setting (perhaps to account for 15 minute intervals or custom) would be helpful, though I appreciate this may be difficult!
