This tool has quickly become integral to our product process.
We were able to set up a repeatable, teachable process for centralizing, processing, sharing, and incorporating feedback in order to make valuable evidence based product decisions.
Vorteile
The Insights section is the most efficient tool I have found for parsing feedback from all of the sources we have. From in-app feedback, internal feedback, to customer interviews, and field observation notes, we can capture it all in one place and take out actionable insights. We use this to build a case for evidence based product decisions that come from the voice of the customer.
Nachteile
We have a lot of data about our sources in SalesForce that we would like to use to help evaluate the feedback. We want to make sure that other attributes like Customer Success Score, NPS, and ARR are taken into account when weighing feature priority. A SalesForce integration would make that part of the app much more valuable.

Greatest product for discovery
Love it! Didn't see any similar tool yet that focusses that much on proceeding user's feedback.
Vorteile
Easy integration into github/ jira etc and easy way to submit insights via email or chrome plugin. Besides, really great way of gathering feedback and not loosing any customer' feedback for certain features.
Nachteile
Weak in project management (gantt-charts for managing classic software projects) - but for me this is fine, the tool is for discovery and more for agile projects.

Nearly great?
It was used to manage features and rollout of iOS and web applications.
Vorteile
We've used PB on and off for several years. It's promise is great - keeping track of requests, features, and requirements is an incredible need on complex builds, and JIRA is a nightmare for that. But PB only delivers partially on that promise.
Nachteile
I want to like this product, but it seems to copy so much from Jira that it becomes a second silo of features and requirements. And we already have Jira for that. The timeline and forecasting tools are weak and inflexible, the UI is sufficiently complex as to be unusable by team members that don't use it daily (making collaboration harder, just like Jira). We eventually churned and returned to spreadsheets, it wasn't as collaborative as hoped, and not as necessary as Jira.

Best product management platform
Vorteile
It is the best system of record for PM related information and to build a process in.
A great way to ensure all stakeholder feedback is captured & organized. Then primary source information can be linked to as many ideas (features, stories etc.) as desired and they can be prioritized very powerfully.
Enables stakeholder communication at scale effectively.
Let's me do almost everything I want, in the way I want to.
Nachteile
It perhaps has too many features and options! The responsibility is on the user to not over-complicate the implementation. It's best for folks who are comfortable with a good degree of information.

Great tool for centralising product information

A place to put all the feedback where it won't get lost and forgotten since it can be linked to specific features and used to inform planning.
Nachteile
Nothing major. There are features we'd appreciate in future like objectives on timelines, user story mapping, etc but they're not vital.

Great product to prioritze your roadmap and features leveraging data from customer interactions
It has helped us to prioritize more objectively and get on the same page, and make sure all the feedback we got from customers was being used effectively in our process.
Vorteile
Ability to organizing feedback and relate that feedback from a customer and its importance to features. This allows us to trace back feedback and see it in context when prioritizing roadmap. This combined with the other prioritization features have made it the best overall tool I have found for prioritizing roadmap based on multiple factors then ability to prioritize features based on multiple factors
Nachteile
Nothing particularly negative, though I could see challenges scaling at a very large organization and there are a number of feature enhancements I would like to improve the value I get from it.

Built for exactly what a product manager needs

Vorteile
They nailed it out of the part when designing the process that this software facilitates. It helps you fight through the noise and helps you aggregates and sort through feedback in a way that is friendly and very human centered. Productboard is simple and straight forward and has all of the major needs for a product manager: Feedback and note aggregation, prioritization and planning, and customer communication.
Nachteile
There are a few UI quirks that they still need to work on, but honestly they nail the general concept so well. With any tool like this, it takes a lot of time to input data to get started, but there is nothing they could do about that.

Productboard has been a game changer for both our roadmap and for capturing insights from across the business.
I love having the ability to categorize insights, assign them to users/companies, and attach them to features or ideas on the roadmap.
Having a dynamic roadmap that I can assign these insights to makes it incredibly easy to recognize areas of opportunity.

You can't automatically link your userbase and their orgs, meaning that you have to manually create a new organisation each time you receive feedback from a new company
The roadmapping section hasn't been great (no gantt view), however, it's about to be released

Great tool to collect feedback and help in prioritization and discovery
It helps me prioritize my development by collecting feedback from the CS team and classifying them into relevant job stories and contact the right user to investigate a specific topic. It is really part of my daily job !
Vorteile
Productboard is friendly and easy to use, and really helps me keep track of the feedback our teams and myself collect from the customer.
Thanks to the various integration I can never miss feedbacks:
- Salesforce integration helps us keep track of lost deals
- Slack integration helps us keep track of feedback shared during a conversation between teammates
- Intercom integration send us what is collected via the support
And then of course our dear CS and Sales team help us by writing notes after talking to our customers!
Nachteile
I can spend a lot of time reviewing the insights and assigning them to the right collection ... but I mean better more customer feedback than not so it's not really a problem

Product Roadmapping Made Easy
Overall, our experience has been fantastic. It has changed the way that we discuss and digest our Product Roadmap.
Vorteile
It was not until we started utilizing Productboard that we were able to visually see our Product Roadmap come to life. We were previously attempting to see this through JIRA, but prefer the customization of Productboard much more.
Nachteile
So far, we have yet to find any major gripes. My only request so far has been the ability to adjust timeframes for Sub-Features.

I'm amazed by productboard UX that is totally covering the needs of PMs. And, eventually, the needs of the users. We can easily track all the insights and convert them to features. Amazing customer service btw.

Easy to use! and great for collaboration!
Productboard is an easy solution to give the Sales Team (and a whole organization) visibly into what the product team is working on. A+ solutions.
Vorteile
While I am not a project manager, I have used many different solutions similar to Productboard and wow this is easy.
Nachteile
No complaints on the product side. I have had some trouble linking Salesforce accounts... but isn't that the issue with everything Salesforce integrates with (Salesforce is just overly complicated).

Not sure I see the full value prop for the money
Vorteile
It has a pretty UI and can handle a lot of data, plus give you the ability to really organize it effectively. Does a good job for early customer discovery.
Nachteile
It seems to be too expensive for what it does (at the tier we use it at anyway, which is in the middle). For someone who is great in Microsoft Excel, you could organize a lot of the same inputs it for a fraction of the cost of Productboard.

Fantastic. Been using productboard for about 1 month and am loving it.
Vorteile
Beautifully designed. Easy to get started and learn, yet lot's of depth to the features. So hard to single out things I like the most because almost everything is top notch and a delight. One very useful thing is how it maintains a link between features and the customer input/feedback linked to those features so the team can look back at the genesis of an idea and understand the full context. A superb little touch is a one click export of email addresses for everyone whose input is linked to a feature so you can reach out to them quickly to ask for more input, or let them know that their requested feature is available.
Nachteile
There are a couple of tweaks I'd love to make to help with workflow: allow contributors to add/suggest tags and changes to fields like Effort, and allow them to adjust/customize their own views of the feature board. I don't want to make them full-fledged editors, because I don't want them to be able to edit other fields. An alternative would be to grant more granular access control to editors so that you can prevent them from making certain changes; or at least to require the product manager's approval after suggesting changes.

Product-led product planning tool with great planning twists
Fast roadmapping, dynamic roadmapping, feature organization, release planning, feedback organization.
Vorteile
productboard makes it obvious and easy to coordinate feedback, features, and roadmap. Instead of investing in "power" features for more complex roadmaps, productboard focuses on ease of use and straightforward roadmap creation. The ability to tie features and releases to discrete pieces of feedback or single customers is a tremendous value add.
Nachteile
More integration support in the future would be a big value add. What exists now gets the job done, but could be expanded. Otherwise, it's a great product!

Exactly what you need to manage a product.
We now have the ammo to argue intelligently for more development resources, and point directly to the features we could build with X number of development hours.
Vorteile
The surface level defaults make sense to get started, and then when you need depth it's there. The software doesn't push you toward a particular methodology to make decisions about setting your roadmap, but gives you the tools to understand every data point on a feature (how many people are asking? which user groups?) so you can prioritize however you see fit.
Nachteile
It could handle subfeatures a little better.

Opinionated yet flexible
It's been great and has been helping my company stay aligned on product priorities.
Vorteile
Productboard has all the features you'd need for product management and those features can even act as a guide as to how you should be managing your product. It is also flexible enough to adjust to your workflow. I also like the ability to share features and get feedback internally and externally. The Gif feature is also really cool.
Nachteile
I wish there could be limited maker access since I have junior pms and product analyst that supports feature spec'ing but they don't own the process and it would not be a full-time job for them.

Great feedback organization software
Vorteile
Productboard allows me to easily understand, organize, and bucket feature requests and feedback items from our customers. As a Support Leader, it's crucial to understand where our customers are running into hiccups or what features they wish they had. Productboard allows our organization to gather insights and analyze trends based on all these customer asks. It also has a great integration with Intercom, which allows our support team to seamlessly share product feedback in a customer interaction with our Product team to process.
Nachteile
Productboard's UI and organizational structure makes it a bit difficult to understand who specifically gave you the feedback. It's a manual process to export users' insights so that our support team can follow through on customer feedback once we've delivered on their asks. I wish it was a bit more seamless to close these feedback loops, since it does do a strong job at keeping everything organized.

It's been a great tool as I get adjusted to my new role as a PM. It has been user-friendly and very valuable to share our product roadmaps with internal teammates.
Vorteile
I like how you can visually see and update all of the progress of your projects. It is easy to collaborate with other teammates and customize the solution to your team's specific needs.
Nachteile
Getting the environment set up was a bit of some manual work, but it is nice that it is customized. Once set up, there is some manual updating of the roadmaps, but that is to be expected. Not too much of that you can automate.

Intelligent + Intuitive
Love it. It's giving me an easy and centralized place to gather all the information about my product for the team and stakeholders, and creates a more streamlined way to plan our roadmap.
Vorteile
The way the software works is very intuitive for a Product Manager, and feels as if someone was inside my head when they built the software. It has smart features that accomplish things other products or spreadsheets never could. The ability to link and adjust different views for different audiences is very helpful. Insights tool is in and of itself valuable in linking different email chains or conversations to single features or requests.
Nachteile
Jira integration could use some work. It seems a bit too simple sometimes and I wish there were more fields that I could set in Productboar because it's not super seamless to push a ticket - always need to go into Jira and finish everything up.

Prettiest service for product management and development tracking
An all-in-one solution for our feature requests, development roadmap and customer feedback.
Vorteile
It contains a number of good tools to view all your entries/tickets in different ways (grouping by categories, creating a roadmap etc.) and all of them have proper sorting and filtering options. The design is quite striking and elegant and it is easy to get started with it; the user experience is quite intuitive.
Nachteile
There is no free version and it can quickly become quite expensive if you want multiple 'contributor' accounts.

Essential Product Management

Vorteile
The fact that you can collect ideas directly from users and team members outside of the product team, and organize and follow up with all that feedback. As a B2C company, ideas come from everywhere and people always have ideas for new features and want to make sure they're heard!
Nachteile
There are SO MANY features and the ability to basically customize any of them, it can be a bit overwhelming to get started. The onboarding tutorial was pretty long in order to cover all the features, and at the end I wasn't quite sure how I needed to configure things to best suit my needs. Once I dove in, it's become essential however!

We love using the feedback highlighter tool to link it to features and components, this is such a flawless function!
The custom views you can get on the different sections of the product really make our jobs easier.
You can really deep dive into your target groups preferences, understand the major needs and remove unnecessary noise. The progress of the features is easy to track and to share with stakeholders.
Nachteile
On Firefox, there is a very slow scrolling speed when all features are expanded, which can be frustrating. Also, the fact that there are only one-way integrations with Trello and Github makes us create many duplicate features.

The ability to organize and prioritize my product roadmap and its features with a great deal of customization and granularity. Product Board has been instrumental in achieving our business goals and detail our product roadmap every step of the way.

The cost per user is a bit high. Still has to work some UI issues that are detrimental to user experience.

Use it everyday and I love it
We are using it to sort and manage all of our customer feedback into categories which has been great since we get dozens of feedback a week in all types of categories.

It is really easy to use and navigate around. When I was first introduced to this, it took me no time to pick it up and get used to everything on the platform. It's so great at organizing. Would not know what to do without this!

Amazing Flexibility and Customer Service
I was trying to produce a centralized product backlog and tool for managing the development of requirements through to hand-off to the Dev team.
Additionally, I was looking for a way to communicate the product roadmap to clients. ProductBoard rocked this requirement!
Vorteile
I love the flexibility of the product. Whenever I have had a need that I think did not quite fit - the team has been able to show me how I can configure the product to meet my request.
The customer service is fantastic! Response time has always been incredible. They also seem to take suggestions for new features and improvements seriously. Sharing their product roadmap with their customers (using their tool to do it) really shows the power of using their tools.
Nachteile
The only thing I would say is a 'con' so far is that their exports could be improved. This is on their product roadmap though.

Productboard helps manage a large repository of user feedback from many sources
Vorteile
The ability to consume many sources of user feedback and the portal is really just icing on the cake. We did not hire this tool for that job but did have a need for one so that was nice.
Nachteile
Prioritization features are a bit much for our needs.

A framework for product discovery
We're essentially a startup that's trying to figure out its roadmap in tandem with some big customers. This seems to be the tool we need in order to establish those internally, as well as communicate with the clients.
Vorteile
A great way to communicate and negotiate your roadmap with stakeholders. Ability to tie direct feedback from users to specific features.
Nachteile
Would love more out-of-the-box integrations with work ticket tracking tools (we use Clubhouse). Also would love a free single-user level that let me experiment with ideas before I bring new people in.

It’s powerful but you have to invest in learning how to use it
Vorteile
Everyone in the company can have a central place for roadmaps, plans, and status updates. That means that we don’t have to cobble together all kinds of ad-hoc documents and spreadsheets all the time.
Nachteile
It has a lot of concepts and terms that, at least to me, are not intuitive and I always struggle to remember what is a feature and what it a capability, and how does my company use those things to map to our product and project plans, etc.

Easy to capture the best ideas for your product
It has helped me develop a strong process for product.
Vorteile
Product Board allows me to capture all ideas from my users/customers and prioritize them with complex scoring drivers and weight them differently by product. It allows me to objectively decide what is the best feature to focus on and illustrate that decision with metrics.
Nachteile
Somewhat expensive, I'd like all people in my organization to be using it but we have to limit it to essential users.

Simple onboarding, yet powerful tool
Enabling a structured capture of large amounts of customer data, as well as the prioritization of features. ProductBoard saves us 10s if not 100s of hours every month.
Vorteile
I can see everything at once, and then pivot or filter the data depending on the problem I'm investigating.
Nachteile
It's fairly expensive. The value is there for the money, but gaining access to this much budget is a bigger process than just "sign up and pay".

New approach
Awesome product and nice new insight compared to other product management tools like Aha.io
Vorteile
Nice to see this product puts the main focus on users and their requests. It really helps centralizing communication which is great for getting focused feedback
Nachteile
Some of the features are somewhat hidden. Integration of JIRA is a premium feature, to me this should be standard like other integrations

Amazing for roadmap management!
Vorteile
Very easy to create and maintain roadmaps for all of our products (web, apps, internal tools).
Nachteile
It would be great to have more exporting options, i.e. ability to customize text size, number of sprints shown, etc.

Great software for doing product in a better way!
We are focusing much more on customers and their pains & we have a much easier time communicating internally about the customer impact of each idea. We have a better way to share insights, prioritize work & communicate it externally & internally.
Vorteile
Oversight & flexibility of the views and filters. It really helps you to work in a variety of ways.
Nachteile
The set up requires thought & can be hard to change once you get started

Build a roadmap and share it with the teams and stakeholders
The blog is a very good and qualitative learning resource for new PMs.
Nachteile
It might be challenging to keep your team in the loop as they don't get email notifications about updates on the boards. You will have to @-tag every person in comments.

Customer-centric: Only good when your product is driven by specific customers
Fantastic for what it's good at. But my organization has a mix of key customers and key feature requests, and ProductBoard only really supports the key customers.
Vorteile
Good for customer-centric orientation: ProductBoard is really good at organizing and executing on many feature requests from an important customer.
Nachteile
Not good when you need feature-centric orientation: ProductBoard is hopeless at managing one feature request from many users. For example, if you have a public feature requests system and many customers have upvoted it, there does not appear to be a graceful way to include it in the system.
