I have used others including LogMeIn. I gave them up with use of vpn and due to Cost. Then I found RemotePC. Same features as others. I think more secure. And fraction on the cost.

I was looking for a Remote Control Software that had high performance, and RemotePC's Performance Viewer was a great fit.

Nachteile

Their connect to active session feature is great, but with prolonged use into a Microsoft RDP'd VM it can cause some issues, support is working with me on a workaround and they are excellent.

Very economical application, which has good tools such as file transfer between remote and local desktops.

When I'm going to connect to a computer remotely, it takes a lot to be able to take remote access to any desktop.

Price. Ease of use and the first 15-30 minutes seems ok. Setup is also easy.

I use a Mac platform-updated to latest always. I use Indesign. After about 15-30 minutes of use, the functionality changes. Sometimes I can click on a box to select it and deselect. sometimes that same action just keeps selecting boxes--text, images, etc. sometimes I can "save-as" for a document, sometimes I cannot even type the name of the new document into the "save as" field. Literally a crap shoot what starts not working first. Often have to either restart Remote PC, the connected computer, or the computer I'm connected from. It could not be more frustrating and customer service before this was not all that quick. Now with the virus... I may never hear from them.

I appreciate that this is a very affordable option for remote access. Needing to have a remote option without breaking the bank was important for our company. RemotePC provided that for us!

Nachteile

Sometimes it is extremely slow on the access, not sure if that's a connectivity problem on our end or a lag on the program. First world problems, because it doesn't effect the functionality of it at all.

Quick to access remote device. Software remembers login so less authentication required.

Nachteile

Switching back to current device requires minimizing or clicking out of the RemotePC screen. Something more efficient here would be better.

RemotePC is very easy to install and use. We have installed this on computers in our offices on two different sides of the world. It has worked seamlessly, giving remote access and support. We would highly recommend to others.

The RemotePC software window opens each time the computer is turned on, requiring the user to close or minimize the window before proceeding with their work. It would be helpful if there was an option for it to not do that.

Remote PC was easy to install and use. Rolled out the software to a few users and they found it easy to use as I walked them through it. I would recommend it to small to midsize businesses.

Nachteile

A couple of things I didn't like that may or may not be fixed in the future are:

1. Cannot lock the setting for the application on a users computer.
2. Cannot make a deployable package with setting pre-configured.

This was an easy transition from TeamViewer, and once it's set up on each computer it's very simple to use.

The inability to screen share or switch sides with another user.

This product is ok, the remote is clear and the software is mostly stable unless someone closes the app.

I don't like that I cant see deeper into the machines, User names PC specs, how long a computer has been down for... Etc.

I haven’t found anything not to like except the speed is a bit slower than when you are actually at your desktop. But, the convenience and capabilities to remote into my office computer far out weighed having a small delay.

Remote PC was recommended by another organziation who had used it for many years. We needed a basic system that allows outside freelancers access. So far, seems to work well, though we have not used all functions at this point.

Set up and deployment went fairly smooth in terms of installation. However, deploying and getting the outside freelancers onboard was complicated and took some time figure out functions, access keys. Also, the functions of Performance view verses Classic was confusing. Some users connecting did not have the function and it wasnt clear how to actually connect.

There was some difficulty when using RemotePC on a low bandwidth Internet connection. But that is to be expected.

I moved out of state but needed to assist our small online business locally in Iowa as if I was there. This software has proven essential to allowing business to continue.

Best part about RemotePC is that it is absurdly cheaper than GoToMyPc (now called LogMeIn), 2x higher security, far more features, much faster performance, simple to deploy (took 5 minutes total). I am very impressed. I used GoToMyPc for I think 20 years...I mean even when it was Citrix! Just wish I'd found this solution sooner.

Since I do a lot of logging and real-time syncing across machines on a daily basis, this really helps keep machines synced for daily backups if you're on the road.

One thing I found is that if you log into the remote machine, you can see what's going on when they power on the remote machine's monitor. That's a security issue with us.

The Software was well put together and has some features that GOTO MYPC does not have. The interface is a lot cleaner and the price makes it an easy replacement for an overpriced package that I had been using. The speed of the software remotely is very fast.
