Being able to keep all Leads and Projects in one place is helpful. Having the option for electronic signatures on Estimates makes giving the go ahead on projects much easier for the customer.

Nachteile

In our jurisdiction we have 2 taxes to collect. On Estimates, they can be entered on the line items but are combined when totaled. I have to go back and manually figure out the 2 subtotals as they have to be submitted separately to provincial and federal departments.
I have been having problems with the software- when I type into it it becomes scrambled nonsense. Tech support has been unable to resolve this (since March 2022). I have received multiple email that it is resolved "case closed" but it has never been fixed and at this point I have just given up on requesting a new case.

Houzz Pro has proven to be an instrumental tool in both lead generation and exposure for our business. Houzz has consistently provided excellent, and timely, support that is individualized to our ever-changing needs.

Nachteile

Some of the leads that are generated through the site do not always fall within our parameters for target market, project scope or budget.

The estimate needs to have the capability to delete when a mistake was made on invoice or if we sent to client and need to add more items to the estimate without having to recreate it all over again.

The cost for my clients to pay the invoices to way to much and not cost effective. Therefore my clients wire funds directly to me to avoid paying the high interest

My Houzz profile functions as an adjunct website. The way Houzz displays our project photos and reviews is attractive to potential customers. The video that is featured on my profile is also impressive and casts our design/installation work in an intriguing way.

I like all of the features, especially being able to connect emails to project and files, photos, etc. There are new features added frequently which is always very exciting!

The task portion of it. It could be so good! You have to do each task individually and it’s very redundant. It would be great to be able to create a list of tasks and also basic templates so you don’t have to redo it EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Sometimes the tabs that you want are difficult to find, the ‘Go to Houzz Pro’ section gets difficult to use use to make updates to my ad.

It's a great tool to suggest to our clients to collect inspiration photos and ideas. They can create idea books by room. We use it as a tool to share our projects with clients and potential clients. We obtain potential clients from the software. Works well, highly recommended.

Lots of clients are "just exploring ideas" and few are ready to move forward with a real project with a real budget. But it is improving!!!

Posting testimonials from my Clients. Being able to post pix from my completed projects. Posting pix of their projects as part of my "thanks for the review" section - but I have to do that at the same time I reply. Using videos albeit I don't use that feature enough.

The fill in the blank design elements per page in a project are not detailed enough

The fact that I can't easily print out the lead inquiry with the phone # I have to print it out, and then hand type the phone #

Not being able to add project pix to a review...AFTER I had replied with just text. Usually I don't have pro shots ready when someone writes up a review BUT I ALWAYS reply to them via Houzz on the review page thanking them for reviewing me.

I love the software, it's a one stop tool for managing my business and client projects. What I like most is the professional presentation it gives our clients and how it connects, shares information with my QuickBooks account.

There is a lot, A LOT, that it does so there is a lot of learning to do before you can use all of it's features. If you need to talk to your personal contact with Houzz Pro you have to schedule a call.

The invoicing tool is hands down the most utilized because our clients NEED pictures, truly. One might think they ordered a bronze faucet and forget they changed and approved a matte black one-this happens alot with clients as they have alot of changes in their home, or they are moving, etc. The clarity we offer this way is a huge help to clients as they are on the go and might not have all of the boards/files we gave them. They can pull up their dashboard on their phone, or their ipad.

Nachteile

We do not sync with quickbooks as we actually found it faster for us not to integrate. Appreciate having the option to choose, though.

The software is continuously changing and adapting into a very robust CRM program, as well as a project management program. Seeing how with the latest updates & changes in our company's structure, we are really starting to utilize the lead management and project management aspects of the software.

We are still digging into all aspects of this software so we are really not in a spot yet to state what we do not like of the software.

The software allows me to keep and track potential clients' information. It allows me to see all my clients in one place, reminds me of those that have not been contacted yet, reminds me to keep the channels of communications open, and gives me the ability to instantly have a lead contact me by phone, text, or email.

I have not found very much about this product that I do not like but there is a great deal that I don't take advantage of yet.

Im still learning and navigating my through it at a slow pace due to how busy I am with other things but THE BEST part about this software and more importantly the client service and guidance from the CRM'S that comes with it is that wherever I was in the process of one of my projects when I began with the program I could apply the software right away and it made everything so much more efficient. Not a lot of data entry needed before being able to move on to next step such as invoicing or mood boards! Ivy clipper makes it so easy!!

Nachteile

I do not like that I haven't had any training on the floor planning and 3D plans. I thought it would be fairly self explanatory but uts not and this has caused me to just go the old fashioned route and pencil & paper it until I can get some more guidance. No fault on the company they have offered different resources to learn. Just too busy to do so right now.

still needs work with how it's sending the email notifications, there's a HUGE glitch where it sends the users to a different domain name, and despite the fact I pointed it out to them several times they still haven't fixed it.

I'm a small operation so sometimes the lead volume are hard to keep up with largely cause I'm trying to be selective and limited time. Having more work options then you can pursue is a good problem to have. I have not really used all the features to full advantage however as I typically try to get into direct emails with a client or phone call and do most contact beyond initial contact outside of Houzz software.

HOUZZ is a strong visual platform, and then from there the other tools follow. These additional tools are also very strong components of the HOUZZ platform. They help manage and eventually grow leads, which leads to business growth.

I like that it is easy to get in touch with Customers we otherwise would never be able to reach out to. Houzz provides important information at the very beginning when you first get the lead so you can evaluate for yourself the value of the lead. The Customer Service is superb and not what I was expecting and I first started to work with Houzz.

Nachteile

The ratio of revenue to the amount that I spend. I want to get it to where I am paying 5% of the revenue that I get from Houzz and still have a bit to go to get the efficient. I'd like to make more so both myself and Houzz can profit from this.

There are so many moving parts to running a business and having Houzz Pro supports me as a business owner to stick to what I am best at. I can track leads, follow up, and manage projects. Plus it even provides the ability to create a current looking website. For companies that have outdated sites (a real no-no in today's market), this feature alone is the only reason you need to sign up for Houzz Pro.

Nachteile

Admittedly I am not a fan of change, so when Houzz Pro updates things (for the better) it requires me to adjust and learn. Not bad, it just takes me a bit to get reoriented. All for the good though. They try to be very forward thinking and I like that about them so in the end, it's worth it.

The messaging features and leads features are very helpful, and I like the concierge. I haven't used the estimate feature because we have our own system for that, but I like that it exists.

We have several offices for our company (austin, houston, denver), but there is no way to have multiple profiles for one company easily, and have multiple locations. I live in Denver and always get leads for houston and austin, and it is confusing and ineffecient.

I want to be able to make changes to our profile more easily (such as uploading photos)

I also updated the profile info with a different phone number but continue to get calls

Support is very inaccessible. Not eve a live chat option. Glitches. Unable to preview of download specification sheets. unable to group proposals by room and give clients a room by room total for budgeting and project staging.

We appreciate the ability to organize and present our work in separate project portfolios. The Houzz website design is very well done. I also want to put in a plug for our "Client Success Manager" (Houzz client rep) [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN], who has been very helpful, even if we fail to follow though on some of his advice.

Our presence does end up soliciting many non-serious inquiries that require responses.

Houzz is an excellent resource for me to get a sense of my client's style. I sent them links to Houzz to search your amazing image database. Once I see the images they are most attracted to, I can usually get the design right on my first try. Its a huge savings for both the client and our time.

Nachteile

I dont like the leads we are getting from Houzz. Im finding most of the clients who contact me are looking for the best price and trying to get several quotes for their jobs. We prefer to work with builders who value the relationship and trust our company fosters with them. Bidding a job takes a lot of time and we are able to be competitive (but not into racing to the bottom to get a job) because we are not wasting time quoting clients that are about one thing...the price.

Some of the inquiries we receive don't align with the services we provide. Also, when people are looking for designers and they submit a form, when we reply, sometimes they don't even know who we are. Houzz should provide the client a list of the firms they will matching them with, and let them know they will be contacted directly by the firm.
