Thumbs Up for Houzz Pro
Generally, we really love it, and appreciate how dedicated the team is to continuous improvement.
Vorteile
It is excellent and manages 90% of what we need in our business (and probably 10 additional things that don't pertain to us). It has been reliable and trustworthy for our firm since we opened. We especially love the time tracking and retainer management making the tedious task of billing easy!
Nachteile
It is expensive - and the additional fees per user make it cost prohibitive to roll out to the whole firm.
Also we wish we could charge the fees for credit cards, but not ACH. We would absorb the 1% for our business, but want to pass the higher fees through to the client.

The Pro's & Con's about Houzz Pro
Overall it is a very useful platform, I only have the basic subscription so some of the functionality that I would like to benefit from on occasion just isn't there but I don't currently have a need for that functionality enough to pay for a higher level subscription.
Vorteile
I enjoy it's AI functionality, the intuitive estimating process, the recent addition of the Home Depot pricing and the automation aspect for the client follow-ups.
Nachteile
I do not appreciate the way it is constantly trying to get me to "secretly" pass on the finance charges to my clients by asking me to raise the markup percent. Your app pushes the payment option so hard and the fees for every little thing add up. I know there is business in banking but this is an estimating CRM style software, the money grab mentality is very disappointing to say the least.

Choose Houzz
Houzz has been great. From helping us to help our clients with design through their 3D rendering software that they are always adding to and most of all the paperwork is so much easier. As remodelers we leave a pretty heavy carbon foot print and Houzz helps us minimize that through the ability to be a paperless company Not having to drive out to potential clients homes more than once to close a sale and getting contracts signed is a breeze as well as payments. They also help with the disasters and fight along side you when you have a theft of service or fraudulent credit card chargebacks from clients. Assuming you are on the right side of it of course. They partner with other companies to help us as well such as Greensky which allows us to offer financing to our clients. Houzz is more than just another platform. Its like adding a whole new team to your business. They build and host our websites as well as handle generating new business through lead generation and we are not paying per lead which is a blessing cause as we all know not all leads turn profit, And whenever we can't figure something out, Houzz is a very short hold time to get someone on the line to help so its like you add a Marketing team, tech support team, website development team, design team, payment processing team, basically a full scale company. Our company thanks Houzz for helping us achieve more with less.

User friendly platform. Unparalleled customer service. And basically all the help you could need in operating a trade company.

I can't think of anything. I say that because there were things we didn't like and Houzz either fixed it or taught us how to use so we learned to like it.

Loving my second year of Houzz Software
Great! I wish we had used the software more in the first year and been able to utilize the additional help included with new users. Now we will have to pay for it. The YouTube training videos are very helpful.

Learning the necessary order of operations through mistakes and trial and error. I'm struggling with proper invoicing and change orders. How much operating capacity of my computer the program uses (LOTS)

Great Layout Designer Poor Customer Service
We like the program for one reason and one reason only and the truth of the matter is that another company charges less and does it FAR better than Houzz does. The customer service is so lacking and bad that it has soured the entire program. They all defend each other so much you can't get the help you need with the program and at the exorbitant rates they charge with a locked in contract they know you can't do anything about it. It has ruined the entire program for us. We will be leaving as soon as we are able.

LOVE the 3-D layout ability to give my client an impressive walk through and a great way to show changes they request before literally hacking into a wall and them not liking it.
Nachteile
Customer service is in the gutter, they are not transparent when it comes to locking you into a 12 month contract, the program has features that they state work but when they don't work for you, rather than opening a case they just tell you that it isn't happening.

Pro Service Feedback from b.e. decors Interiors
I have look at other services/aps and still like Houzz from a project management perspective. I'm just really not happy about the cost increase and limitations. I think it will suffice for now for the money, but I would like answers as to why $200/mth does not give me full access to ultimate options.
Vorteile
I love being able to source and build product selections, then link them to proposals and invoices. I also love being able to send my clients invoices and have them pay directly from the invoice.
Nachteile
I do not like that the price for pro increased and I still don't have all of the options. I should not have to pay even more each month for ultimate service. $200 / mth is definitely plenty and I've used Houzz for a long time. I also don't like not being able to use my sourced products in renderings yet. This needs to happen by now! The renderings still need a little improving on the visual side, but I do love being able to produce a more photo realistic image. It just takes forever to generate.

Honesty on HP
Getting better but not a well oiled machine.
Vorteile
Visual aids- Time billing reporting. Mood boards and selection boards.
Nachteile
Glitches. project tracker is very slow. Messages with clients doesn't work 100% of the time and clients get frustrated with us not receiving their messages. Integration with quickbooks isn't seamless, have to watch and check for errors. esp with taxes and rounding.

Horribly Immoral Customer Service
Absolutely terrible. I have never had someone try to take advantage of me and take so much money like this before. See Cons section.

They set me up on a free trial. My sales rep, [sensitive content hidden] intentionally misled me by explaining all costs in terms of monthly cost. Then at the very end, sends a contract that has me paying for the entire year up front. I had multiple conversations with them about how the service was not working out for me during the trial period and how I was going to be using a competitor instead. Rather than cancelling my account, they send me a link to cancel it myself. I fill out the form and forget about it. Months later when doing annual reconciliation of my business, I see I was charged $5,750!! They said they have no record of a cancellation form from me. I have not touched this app or utilized any service since the trial period. When I attempted to work with customer service to get my money back for a service I do not use, they flat out denied me. Shame on me for being in a hurry and not paying attention to that contract I signed. But for the company to show zero flexibility and common sense is unacceptable. Charging someone nearly six thousand dollars for a service they do not use is absolutely insane. Collecting my money on a technicality and not by actually conducting mutual business of money in exchange for services. They displayed to me that they are not a trustworthy company and do not have the ability to look at a situation fairly for their customers, I will absolutely never recommend this company, and in fact will be very actively steering my friends away from this service in the construction company. DO NOT USE THEM. Their competitors are much better, look up other options for construction software.

Overall option.
The support team is amazing. I’ve worked with many different contractor softwares and my coaches in Houzz have been the most helpful coaches I’ve had.

We have been Houzz Pro members since 2017.
While at first, there was fantastic value for money, our experience has degraded significantly over the last few years.
In the beginning, Houzz offered exceptional visibility and relevant leads, making membership a truly worthwhile investment.
However, in recent years, the platform's value has steadily declined. Even though we pay more than £4,200 each year for our Houzz Pro package, most of the leads we currently receive are of low quality and poorly aligned with our needs, to foster an illusion of engagement without providing any genuine advantage.
The support is also disappointing.
For example, our account manager has not responded to support emails for over two months now, and escalations through Houzz Support have done nothing to fix the problem.
Houzz further referred us to a "manager's manager," but we never heard from them either.
Houzz has recently been focusing on promoting its project management system—a tool that might be helpful for smaller design firms or smaller contractors without an established system - which at the same time are usually companies that can't afford to start with Houzz premium prices.
However, as a construction company with complex project needs, we find the Houzz management system to lack in many key areas, such as:
System Speed:
The interface is painfully slow. Even simple tasks, such as responding to clients, can take over a minute due to too-long loading times in multiple fields.
Ease of use:
The platform, in trying to handle the needs of the designers, architects, and builders, has turned out very complicated and difficult to navigate.
This, of course, would result in slow performance.
Due to these problems and headaches, we have chosen to remain with our current systems, as only we know what works the best for our company system and selling, despite Houzz sellers selling the sunset.
However, we find ourselves constrained by a 12-month contract that renews automatically without notice or shout-out, if you won't cancel it 1 month before the contract ends - Which you of course miss because you find yourself busy working outside of the Houzz management system.
In short,
The best Houzz advantage is a great platform for presenting projects, which everyone can do on their platform for free without spending any money.
Investing in Houzz Pro,
Has not delivered on its promises outside of the free Version.
The leads generated are not justified by the sizeable financial investment, and other advertising platforms deliver similar, if not better, results for the same cost.

Most features are AWESOME, there is ONE weighing it down
I actually do like the software quite a bit, for the most part it is wonderful. Where it really goes down hill for me is the financial part of it. It is so lacking and clunky. That part of it needs a lot of attention. You HAVE to enter a PO, then log payment on PO, why not add the option to manually enter a material or vendor invoice. The accounting/financial portion of this feels very much like an after thought. Everything else is awesome. I hard a hard time deciding between a 3 or a 4 so I went with the 3.
Vorteile
Client/Leads module, one of the best I have seen (and I have seen a lot).
Marketing module makes it so easy to create and send campaigns at any level of expertise.
The estimating and take-off module is miles above other software in it's category.
The 3D Floor Plans Tool - so easy to use and the accuracy is awesome, I have wasted so much time playing with tool (and I mean that in a great way.
The interface is very user-friendly and easy to navigate.
Converting the leads to a project is so seamless and easy.
The invoicing module and client interface all top tier.
The schedule module is so easy to use for anyone.
The dashboard is easy to navigate and follow.
Ideabooks & Mood Board are such an awesome feature.
Tasks are also great.
Nachteile
The "Certification" is very lacking, it doesn't deep dive into any of the modules except the 3D Floor and even that is lacking.
The entering of project "outgoing" money is very lacking.
The financial reporting capabilities is also very lacking.
Have to invite subs and vendors to add them to the projects is aggressive and unnecessary.

Former Ivy User Back to Houzz Pro
Very positive. It meets many of the needs I have as a boutique full-service interior design firm. I have tried many other software programs and Houzz Pro is one of the easiest and most functional.
Vorteile
I was an original Ivy user years ago, and recently came back to Houzz Pro after trying many other interior design software programs that were good, but not great. The 3D room scanner and floor plan generator was what drew me back - it's been such a useful tool! While I don't use Houzz for lead generation or client communication, I do send my clients their portal links to view their project details (selections, moodboards, etc.) live, which has been a great feature.
Nachteile
The 3D room scanner has glitches; I've noticed that in very large spaces (ie. an open living/dining room in a large A-frame house with 25' h ceilings) the scan was so inaccurate that it was useless. It's also not able to scan new construction (ie. framed-in walls with no drywall).

All in one
Houzz Pro has been a great way to manage and maintain my design clients and business. I really like how it is an "all in one" system for everything you might need including 3D renderings, mood boards, project management, clients contact system, and a lot more. In the past I have had to have multiple systems to manage my business and with Houzz Pro I am covered.

Houzz Pro is a great place for designers to run their entire business from. We love that we can track everything for each project, invoices, time & expenses, client projects, and more.

Great Customer Service
I am at a 50% right now. There are features that I love, and again, features that surprisingly are absent.
Vorteile
I've found the online chat feature on Houzz to be incredibly helpful. It's become my go-to whenever I have questions while browsing the platform.
Nachteile
Several features that I believe should be standard offerings are either absent or require cumbersome workarounds within the Houzz platform. Despite being assured that user feedback is integral to driving improvements, none of the suggestions I've provided have been implemented to date.

Houzz Pro- A must for designers
This program has simplified my process tremendously. Having these tools has also leveled up my professionalism with my clients.
Vorteile
Houzz Pro makes designing for my clients super simple! I especially love the room scanning tool to build my floorpans!
Nachteile
I don't like how the set up suggestions stay up on your profile. I wish those were hide-able. It is also pricey to add a second user, however unavoidable.

A Great Option For The Boutique Builder
Overall I am pleased with the functionality and ease of use of the application. In a day to day implementation I have had very few complaints and feel like this works well for my small business.

Our experience with Houzz.com
Vorteile
Houzz provides good support to new business owners from how to get leads to how to manage and track projects. They set up the business owner with an account manager and the person I get to work with, [sensitive content hidden] is very knowledgeable and helpful at the time of making marketing decisions. I have enjoyed how easy it is to manage my website through houzz. From the design of it to the content that goes on it, I can change things myself at any time or request the support from a houzz specialist to advise me on what would work best. Houzz also has packages that help you expose your company at a local (city) and nation wide levels.
Nachteile
Houzz offers the option to buy marketing packages that expose you to different cities through adds but it doesn't offer the direct purchase of leads. You get to pick the level of exposure you want to pay for and this gets measured by clients interactions with company's houzz portal or website. I find this challenging specially if you are just beginning to build a brand/company, and although I have been satisfied so far with their service, I wish they offered the option to purchase leads in the future. I think this would help diversify their product and help business owners have more tools of generating new clients.

Great Program That Sets You Up For Success!
I do feel the program itself is a program that sets you up for success, and makes you feel capable of giving potential clients the best service you can provide them with.

Review of Houzz Pro Software
Its good but some of this is difficult to learn as the tutorials move very quickly and sometimes not easy to follow.
Vorteile
Takeoff software is great. We mainly use it for digitizing plans for takeoff purposes. I need to learn how to integrate it in to the estimating part and project management but have not been able to learn that yet. The learning curve is a bit difficult if I am not able to directly communicate with a technician. It can be difficult to speak with someone when you need it to answer a question quickly.

I like all of the what house pro does but I need to learn to use all aspects of the software as we mainly only utilize the takeoff part of it.

One Stop Design Business Management
My experience has being great, I started using Houzz more as a marketing tool, but as I discover the massive amount of tools it provides, I run my entire business from it.
Vorteile
I have being a user since I open my studio 4 years ago. Over the years I have being very surprised many times as they keep making the workflow more intuitive and keep adding features that make my work much more easier. I can definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking to improve their design management and client communication tools. I am sure once you use it you hardly would want to use anything else.
Nachteile
Houzz continues to improve constantly, so I have the good feeling they they will address some glitches that come here and there.
I am not super fan of their calendar appointment integration, I think there is a lot of room for improvement there, it isn't reliable, luckily I add my other booking links to my Houzz templates to overcome this.. and it works for me

A great tool to start your business
My overall experience has been great besides the fact that I don’t have the flow of client that will give me the option to be paying monthly and that’s something that it’s scares me a lot but at the same time I feel safe and really fortunate that half customer service person just for me and it really helps a lot in the business. I also like the opportunity to have tools like the online payments the 3-D floorplans and the scan on the rooms that it’s easy to use and gives your client more credibility on your business

Houzz Pro is a Go!
It has been a good experience thus far, and their support team has been quick to respond and assist with any issues encountered.
Vorteile
I like the 3d rendering software and its ability to populate directly into a quote for quick project estimations. The product clipper makes it quick and easy to add products to your selections board and quote out items that are not included on the houzz platform already, making it easy to sell anything you can source to your clients. It has a strong built in CRM to assist with clienteling and lead development.
Nachteile
API access should be added so that you can integrate external catalogs and systems into it for a broader range of selections and increased integration abilities.

Houzz Pro is Home
Overall, I'm happy that our team has switch to Houzz Pro. The client design consultation process can be lengthy, especially when clients have difficulty visualizing their space. But, the model display and ability to edit while in consultation has proven to shorten the design process and improve client satisfaction and confidence in us to deliver the house of their dreams.
Vorteile
The ability to interact with my colleagues, shareholders and clients on Houzz has been an invaluable experience which has helped us deliver to our clients a more transparent view of the design and build process. Being able to illustrate my design concepts and calculate take offs in one platform has given me a substantial improvement on efficiency, allowing myself and my team to complete a greater number of projects to the same and even higher standard of care. Not only this, but the ability to amalgamate our scheduling and budget into the same platforms allows all of our team access to the information they need without having to search multiple platform or documents for the information they need.
Nachteile
Like every software, there is a learning curve. Thankfully, due to its simple and accessible interface, becoming familiar with Houzz Pro doesn't take nearly as long to become well versed in compared to other similar software. There are some softwares that are highly customizable which is nice but can take a long time to set up. While Houzz Pro doesn't have that level of highly customizable options, it does allow you to get started faster and re-orient your use of the platform in the future.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY
I am leaving this review because I would like to help ALL potential businesses from wasting their money and their time into Houzz Pro. I am a business owner of (3) different businesses: real estate investment company, remodeling and moving company. I signed up with Houzz Pro about 6 months ago for my remodeling company to have a better and more efficient estimates and bid system for my company. I will say that part only Houzz has a decent system in place. I found out while talking to them, they also did marketing for business as well. It sounded very good on the phone with the package they had to offer, and I decided to go with it, along with their software program for contractors. So, I spent some time setting up my profile and loading pictures of projects with some small descriptions on it, so protentional clients could see the work we do. I attached our website to these pages as well, which is very well layout website with tons of pictures of projects we have done as well. Now comes the problems with Houzz. With talking with other contractors and talking to people at network meetings about the new program/subscription (Almost $5,000 for the year) I had with Houzz and how I was not happy with any of the customers that came through, to where they were NEVER responding to emails, calls or messages through Houzz or any other ways either. From all the people I talked to about this, that used Houzz had similar and other issues as well, on way they were not happy with at all with Houzz. When finally doing a deep dive into Houzz throughout the internet, I started finding a ton of negative feedback with all the same issues. Houzz has a 1.03-star average on BBB with 500+ complaints in the last 3 years alone. They have a 2.5-star average on site jabber. There Reddit complaints are through the roof. The list goes on and on with reason why not to sign the contract with this company and the reviews and complaints on the internet are very accurate. I hope if other people/business read this, they do their research before giving any money or signing anything with this company.

EXPLORE OTHER OPTIONS - Disappointing Product
Terrible experience. We have tried to give this product a chance and sought help from our account rep and houzz's product specialist. No one can provide realistic answers. I mean we have had a different "dedicated account specialist" basically every few months. They just change the person out and don't really tell you anything except here is so and so. So you are continually rebuilding a relationship with your account specialist and re-explaining you frustrations in an effort to get a resolution.

We were originally sold on the concept of Houzz Pro and what it could suppossedly provide but this excitement for a potential solution for our company turned into disappointment. The service was lackluster, product underperformed, features were promised and never supplied. Basically we were lied to from the beginning.
Nachteile
At this point in our contract with houzz pro, I would say that we are completely over this product and company. DO NOT USE THEM. They lied to use regarding the extent of the products capabilities and when asked if we could cancel the service due to lack of product capabilities, we were told that it was not possible.

Houzz Pro Works for Small Remodeling Businesses
Overall positive. The ability to run essentially the entire administrative side of the business from one portal is fantastic. Marketing, Lead Gen, Website creation on the front end and creating estimates from takeoffs, getting signatures for projects, and collect payments all in one space is amazing.
The only reason we have decided to move away from the platform is a shift in business direction that doesn't require us to be as customer-facing any more.

Comprehensive set of features can work for most small businesses of varying focus within the building industry
Nachteile
Tools lacked the depth to be top-tier options in the space. While the breadth of the tools is great, being able to do more with each individual tool would be welcome.

I got scammed
Attention all contractors: Do Not Use Houzz. An absolutely atrocious platform. Their customer support is virtually nonexistent. Took almost 2 months to get a reply to my email about a simple customer support issue. Before signing up for Houzz Pro, I was informed we could increase or decrease our monthly spend as we please. After signing up and not getting the results we were hoping for, I asked to decrease our monthly spend by decreasing the number of regions where our profile is being promoted. Now they're telling me that's impossible and the best they can do is allow me to pay off the whole year in one lump sum payment of $13,000. I would not recommend Houzz Pro to anyone. There are much better things to spend your money on if you need leads. Houzz Pro has no intention of helping small businesses grow, and are a predatory company complicit in conning us, among many other companies, out of thousands of dollars.

Vorteile
The estimating feature. We love the options we can adjust to customize our estimates to fit our business's needs.
Nachteile
That the estimates can't be permanently locked for the clients. The estimate is a live link so if you don't change the settings back before a client re-clicks the link, they can see all your internal prices. Also, the floorplan layout is great but lacking in options for finishes and it would be lovely to have a deck/screen porch feature.

Even after sharing an estimate with a client, you can always go back to Edit mode to check your internal prices without affecting the client view. If you mark certain columns as hidden from the client, they will not be visible to the client. One platform for all my design needs
I find the pop up help window quite helpful and timely. Overall very pleased

I like the selections boards and using that to create the proposals thru pos. I also like how it connects with quick books for streamlined booking. From the design perspective I really love the mood boards and the space planning with the camera-what a game changer! To have all of this in one place?!?! Amazing
Nachteile
I wish I could u out my own library selections into the space planning rather than just using the stocknitems from Houzz library.
I also wish I could see one wall elevations at a time not just in the 3d view.

I was told there is a 30 day free trial when using the proservice, I signed up for the service then canceled 2 1/2 days later, due to their online floor planner being difficult to use, but HOUZZ is still billing me monthly. I have reached out to customer service, but have been told that I signed a contract and the 30 day trial does not exist, even though the trial offer is listed under prices on the website even today. This place is disgusting, they have no interest in keeping their word, and dealing with customers with Integrity! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

Les logiciels sont basiques...Mon conseil, formez-vous sur des valeurs sûres tels que : Sketchup/ Autocad/ Canvas/ Photoshop/ In design). Réalisez des gabarits et utilisez simplement des logiciels comme Excell et Word pour vos shopping listes ; ce sera beaucoup plus efficace, facile et gratuit.

J'ai souhaité adhérer à Houzz car c'est un annuaire bien référencé sur Google. Pour débuter mon activité, je me suis laissée convaincre par les belles promesses du commercial. Résultat au bout d'une année je n'ai décroché qu'1 seul petit projet à 245€ (et d'ailleurs à la fin de mon abonnement). Je suis persuadée que la plupart des projets que j'ai reçus sont des faux, disons à 80% (spams ou impossible de contacter les demandeurs que ce soit par téléphone, mail et sms). Les autres sont des projets irréalisables soit pas du tout dans mon secteur, soit fantaisistes avec des délais impossibles et/ou des budgets ridicules. Bref je veux bien croire que cela arrive de temps en temps mais pas systématiquement 2 x fois par mois sur tous les projets. Je vous laisse juge.

Houzz Pro keeps me organized!
The learning curve on Houzz Pro was pretty simple to get going, however being a deconstruction contractor in which the program was not designed for it has taken a few years to get it adapted for me and I still have a ways to go it seems.
Vorteile
With Houzz Pro I'm able to manage my customers and projects with efficiency and stay highly organized. Using the takeoffs side of the program I have been able to develop standards in my estimating and templates to speed up the process.
Nachteile
The customer section is built for working with one client per project. I'm a deconstruction subcontractor that works with big General contractors that have multiple project managers, and estimators that I work with. That part gets complicated for me at times.

Good Product but Some IT Fixes
Good, and the chat team is always very responsive. There is just sometimes not a technological fix to our issues.

The approve and decline function on the proposals. We ask clients to go in and approve and decline and then let us look over it so we'd like to be able to do that in real time without them having to click submit.

Keeping it Real
Being able to run Design and Construct business in the one program is ideal.
There are areas for improvement, however overall it has given our clients a better user experience for being able to better communicate our design and build ideas, proposals and updating clients about the project during construction.
Vorteile
Love that it has the option to provide a well rounded service from start to finish in handling clients from lead stage, to design, quotation proposals and build management. Not many options out there that combine design and construction components in one program.
Nachteile
Leads that come through are hit and miss. A lot of scam leads. However, have had some very successful leads.
Needs little better handling and efficiency across the system and better user friendly interface for the app.

Houzz Pro is on its way to becoming the number one construction management platform
It has been great I love its design and 3D tools it has a lot of functions and it is easy to use and set up. Its marketing platform is very useful.

It is slow, it does not have a lot of integrations, or access to use APIs, webhooks and other type of data for sales as well as it needs better time management and cost management features like geotagging for time slip.

Overall, Houzz Pro is valued for its ability to streamline business operations, enhance client communication & facilitate marketing efforts within the home design & remodeling industry. I like Houzz with all its tools & customer support. There's still a way to pave but they're getting there!

First & foremost, I liked the fact that Houzz Pro combines design & project management tools in the same platform! It is good for its comprehensive set of instruments designed specifically for home design & remodeling professionals like myself. It offered me strong project management tools that helped me organize & track all aspects of my projects, from initial client contact to final invoicing.
Nachteile
As an Interior Designer using Houzz Pro, I found the cost of the platform, the learning curve for my new interns & the delays in responses (difficulty in getting timely assistance) are real drawbacks of Houzz Pro. Design tools have glitches all the time. It frustrated me in the beginning especially with client's appointments for presentations. I made it a habit to contact my Account Manager in order for him to raise the issue to the technical team. That usually took time to fix, nonetheless they're rallying to get better at it.

Way to Grow... with Houzz Pro!
Genuinely no real complaints! I started with Houzz pro even before I had a formally established business and it allowed me to scale my operations with the vast resources it provides. I will always recommend it to others

The versatility of it is one that I often share with my colleagues. From the Room Scanner to the Scheduling. It really aims to be an end-to-end user product for managing a project full cycle.
Nachteile
That I have to purchase multiple seats for each user in my organization. I would like if it had the option to link items in my estimate to industry pricing or to connect with certain vendors or a pricing matrix such a Home Depot etc. Also there are times when I outsource my takeoff and estimating and i get my data back in excel - It would be great if Houzz was setup to parse the data from some columns so I can send the estimate from the Houzz platform.

Vorteile
The ease of use and setup were key for me when I first started. The staff was eager to help get me started and are still just a phone call away when I need help or have questions. The estimating "program" is extremely helpful... I use it every day! The "Layout" and 3D design "program" is awesome for when I design a new kitchen or bathroom renovation.
Nachteile
Sometimes the updates and changes to the programs throw me for a loop, however, the staff always help get me back on track.

Great if you are managing multiple projects
For the past 8 years, Houzz/Ivy has been the only interior design management software I have used in my business. It was previously called Ivy until Houzz purchased them. I have done little research on other software, and no other has all the features Houzz has, and the ones that come close to having look exactly the same as Houzz - literal copy, which I don't condone.
Vorteile
What I like the most is that I can manage the entire project from one platform. I definitely don't use all the features provided, like the 3D drawing, because it's a bit basic for my line of work, but everything else is great.
Nachteile
What I like the least is that they keep updating the software, which doesn't carry through all the projects. For example, an older project will look different (action buttons in different locations)from the newer ones. Now you are going back and forth, spending time finding what you need.

Houzz makes my business operate smoothly and teaches me how to run it smarter!
I've been very happy with this program. As a designer I've tried several platforms and this one is the easiest to use, the most updated and offers the most options for the work that I do. There is so much in this program that I can learn to make my business even smarter and I am anxious to learn it all. Meanwhile, my billing and project organization runs like a top and that makes me less stressed!
Vorteile
I love all the resources for learning how to run my business smarter and smoother. I love the look of it and how easily it integrates into the other tools I use to run my business. Paying bills and managing my many design projects is so much easier and so organized all in one spot.
Nachteile
The hardest part for me is learning how to use all the tools and then getting my clients to onboard with them. Billing is a breeze, but not all clients want to use a dashboard setting and I struggle to get them to the platform. My biggest hurdle is myself and taking the time I should to learn everything Houzz can do.

My target audience uses Houzz, so I use HouzzPro
Overall, it's been a positive experience, and I recommend it to other interior designers. It's great to have this industry-specific functionality and connection to the primary platform that homeowners to go to for inspiration. My clients enjoy their dashboard functionality.

I like that it's developed for common tasks and processes of an interior design firm and that it integrates with QuickBooks. I like that the development team is constantly asking for feedback and making improvements. I like my Account Rep and can rely on him to help me resolve issues quickly - he's top notch! I like the new Selection Board functionality.
Nachteile
The monthly subscription fee covers the use of HouzzPro and being listed in Houzz as an interior designer in my target market. I pay 5x the monthly QuickBooks Online subscription amount for HouzzPro. I get very few leads from Houzz. So I am evaluating the use of it going forward. Even after improvements in the floorplanning and mood board functionality in HouzzPro, we still use 3rd party apps for those things since they have better functionality for what we need (i.e., my iGuide scans can download into my 3rd party floorplanning software, etc.)

Not very user friendly
Not very user friendly and complicated to use.
Vorteile
The option the client has to approve and disapprove individual items on their end. It is user friendly for client facing and billing. Not so much for internal company use.
It auto saves.
Nachteile
It is not simple and user friendly to use, especially in comparison to Studio Designer, which I loved. The process and steps of creating proposal, purchase order and invoice are different and the linking is much more complicated. updated and changes take place without any notification to the company. time billing will not total up the hours and cannot filter per date, etc.

A do all, umbrella for Interior Projects I couldn't be without.
It's really helped me with my business. I couldn't be without it.
I love how helpful the staff have been with my feedback too, everytime I have suggested what they could do better they have acted straight away and in a short time frame, the feature arrives making the software better and better for Designers. I love it.
Vorteile
I like the functionality and the features being all in once place. I like the sync to quickbooks, the project planning tool and the proposal and selections board tool. I love that I can show Client's how we are on or over the planned budget, and they can clearly see why. We can work collaboratively more effectively. The Client Dashboard is incredibly useful too.
Nachteile
It can be sluggish sometimes, and sometimes freezes for a bit which is frustrating when you are trying to work quickly. I would love more integrations as I don't expect the software to be brilliant at everything. It can be difficult for Client's to access their Dashboard without regularly sending them the link.

Houzz Pro Review
As i continue to learn from the platform, it is very user friendly. If i have a question it is easly to chat with them. I still like to talk directly to a human when I have issues
Vorteile
I was working on the Ivy platform and made the switch to Houzz Pro when they Acquired Ivy. I love the 3D scanner as it is fairly accurate in measurements as well as square footage for flooring and wall materials. I love the fact that you can merge invoices together. The time clock is fabulous and allows for exact time you work on a project. I like that when you get to a clients you are alerted to see if you need to clock in. Houzz pro makes paying sales tax each month easy. The reports are great!
Nachteile
I would like to have a direct contact & speak to a live person as opposed to chatting with a robot. When you email support, they have called back a day or 2 later which is well after the time I need.
