Vorteile

Ich benutze Duolingo nun seit mehreren Monaten und bin absolut begeistert von dieser App! Die Benutzeroberfläche ist intuitiv und ansprechend gestaltet, sodass das Lernen Spaß macht und nie langweilig wird. Die Vielfalt an Sprachen, die angeboten wird, ist beeindruckend.
( zur Zeit lerne ich koreanisch, chinesisch und dann/danach möchte ich noch japanisch anfangen)

Besonders gefällt mir, dass die Lektionen kurz und interaktiv sind. Dadurch kann ich jederzeit und überall eine schnelle Lerneinheit einschieben, ohne mich überfordert zu fühlen. Die spielerischen Elemente wie Punkte, Levels und Belohnungen motivieren zusätzlich und sorgen dafür, dass ich am Ball bleibe.
Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist, dass die Basisversion kostenlos ist und trotzdem eine Fülle von Funktionen bietet.

Nachteile

Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt ist allerdings, dass die Grammatik-Erklärungen in den Lektionen manchmal etwas knapp ausfallen. Hier wäre es hilfreich, wenn es mehr detaillierte Erklärungen und Beispiele gäbe, um das Verständnis zu vertiefen.

Duolingo hat eine große Sprachauswahl und kurze, leicht integrierbare Lektionen. Es bietet kostenlosen Zugang, personalisierte Lernpfade und motivierende Gemeinschaftsfunktionen. Es ist ideal für Anfänger und Gelegenheitslerner, mit Einschränkungen für fortgeschrittenes Lernen.

Nachteile

Für fortgeschrittenes Lernen ist die Software leider begrenzt und es liegt ein starker Fokus auf Wiederholungen statt Grammatik. Zudem werden teils unnatürliche Satzbeispiele genutzt und manche könnte die Werbung in der kostenlosen Version stören.

Vorteile

Sehr nützliche Plattform zum Sprachenlernen. Wir können so viele Sprachen lernen, wie wir wollen. Sie ist überall und auf jeder Plattform zugänglich. Ich benutze dieses Duo Lingo seit Jahren und habe so leicht Deutsch gelernt, sowohl was den Wortschatz als auch was die Grammatik angeht.

Nachteile

1. Ich könnte sagen, dass Tests nach jedem Level besser wären. 2. Gleiches Führungsgremium für alle Sprachen. Wenn ich Deutsch lerne und eine andere Person eine andere Sprache lernt, zeigt die Führungstafel den Fortschritt auf demselben Dashboard an.

Vorteile

gar nichts, App ist sooooooooo langsam, das ist wohl beabsichtigt um Leute ins Abo zu zwingen. In der Abo version läuft die App problemlos, Komisch nicht wahr????

Nachteile

in der kostenlosen Version ist die App laaaaaangsam, es macht keinen Spass damit zu lernen. Mein Partner hat ein Abo, das funktioniert schnell. Feedbacks werden nicht beantwortet, sie ändern auch nicht, also braucht man auch kein feedback schreiben.

Abwechslung bei den Übungen, Fehler werden gesondert aufgezeigt

Nachteile

Es besteht keine Möglichkeit bei auftretenden Problemen mit einem Mitarbeiter Kontakt aufzunehmen.

Mir gefällt, wie die App aufgebaut ist und wie verständlich sie ist. Zudem mag ich, dass man seinen Fortschritt verfolgen kann und individuell in die Sprache einsteigen kann, je nachdem wie viele Vorkenntnisse man hat.

Nachteile

Das man seinen Lernstreak nach einem Tag verliert und nur kostenpflichtig wiederherstellen kann.

Übersichtlichkeit, Bedienbarkeit (wichtig für kleinere, jüngeren User), Inhalt und Sinn der App sind sehr gut.

Es gibt bis jetzt nichts, was mir inhaltlich fehlt.

Lessons have no bearing on real world situations or conversational learning. Many of the lessons just spit out nonsense phrases with no ability to get a full translation and force a user to answer when they don't even understand the question.

Friendly and interactive app for learning multiple languages in a funny way. The more lessons I complete, I can move forward in different divisions competing with other learners and friends.

Nachteile

I have to collect hearts or lives in order to continue a lesson. Any mistake is a life lost, therefore, once I run out of hearts I have to stop or do other tasks to get more.

In Duolingo, my favorite feature is the the variety of language that you can learn of the application. I also like a lot the new feature for the English where you work only the similar sound in 2 words.

Nachteile

I think Duolingo has not too much fault on the application but for example in Swedish, the traduction is not perfect if you check in the dictionary the traduction is wrong. With the number of language I think it's normal to find some errors.

Gamification is critical to learning. Having a point system where you can customize the owl or unlock lessons is motivating.

The app can be very navigational. Also, if you don't log on for a while, your account is removed, or at least that has been my experience.

It is Free! Love that. I have used the free version for 7 years now. I am really grateful for the program and have gotten very far in learning Spanish. The daily streak keeps me doing it daily. I have only missed a handful of days in 7-8 years.

Verb conjugation is really POOR in Duo. No overall reviews of each verb. I wish they had full lessons dedicated to just verb conjugation. It really only teaches you based on pure memorization. Which is good, until you realize how much more you need to REALLY learn a language. For audio I wish you could control the speed. On audio lessons the normal speed is for fluent locals and the slow speed is for pure beginners. I need a mid speed so I can learn to get faster. So the other con is being able to keep up in conversation with native speakers.

I like that I was able to learn a language or some words from a language that I wanted to learn. What I also really liked most about Duolingo was the reminders that they give you if you miss a day or two.

You can only learn some words and some vocabulary and it's not really accurate to how the language could be spoken today. Another thing is that Duolingo focuses more on English speakers.

If you don’t already know the grammar, their pedagogy is awful: scattered, incomplete, and rigid even when wrong. (I suspect plenty of their French, and unnatural English is all too common.). They used to have a discussion section where you could bring up problems, or get explanations of underinstructed areas from the user community. It’s gone now.

The unrelenting pressure to try Super Duolingo. It started with “no thanks” options, progressed to pop up ads with a loud voice that disrupted concentration, and finally a three day trial button from which, if you accidentally clicked, there was no way out. The program started with 14 lessons and was decreased to just 3. They were progressively putting more and more pressure to go to Super Duolingo. I did not like this experience.

Looks easy, and interface seems simple enough. Lower price than other language learning courses, screens are generally not too busy and very clean. Somewhat easy to get around and straight forward clicking on tabs makes it more easy to use.

Nachteile

No customer service, they do not reply to questions.

For example, I purchased a year with understanding I would not be required to purchase in-app tokens - this was not true, nor not mentioned before buying.

Furthermore, after a few sessions, I wanted to cancel, but found out once you pay, you cannot get your money back. You have to wait one year before that can happen. Because there is no communication, if you fall for the sales pitch, your done.

I like the fact that even with the free version, you have access to a lot of content.
And its easy to use as I also let my 10 yr old daughter using it to learn english.
Very good tool for any age.

The only downfall is you are stuck if you make more than a certain amount of errors. You have to wait the next day, or you have to pay.

We LOVE Duolingo. I have 2 children in Kindergarten and Second grade, and we use this app daily to keep current with what they are leaning in English, Math and Spanish. It takes the age of your child and magically figures out what they need to know, what they should be learning and gives them tons of practice lessons to keep their skills fresh. And it's fun! I am not a teacher, so this app takes the guess work out of searching for worksheets online.

I have no complaints about anything to do with Duolingo so far. It has provided help when and where we've needed it for each of my kids.

I've been using Duoling for 9 years now and appreciate how I can easily retain the lessons about foreign languages I thought would be hard to learn. I love the fact that I can not only track my progress but the app itself is encouraging, it shows you how far you've come and how much you've learned. You won’t even feel that you've been learning for quite some time now because the tests and assessments appear to be easy but then the next thing you know, you'll be able to read and comprehend sentences in a foreign language you are learning.

As a user of Duolingo for 9 years, I can't say anything against it because it helps me learn a new language. I can easily change the language I want to learn whenever I want to.

Assez bien conçu pour débuter en espagnol. Bien sûr on arrive rapidement sur la complexité de la grammaire. Est-ce vraiment utile pour simplement se débrouiller en espagnol et donc en Espagne ?

La première année est très agréable et on a le sentiment d'avancer. La deuxième année est une catastrophe ! Les mêmes leçons reviennent sans cesse à 80/90% identiques ! Pour avancer un tant soit peu, on doit refaire quasiment tout le sicle ! Une horreur ! J'attends avec impatience la fin de mon abonnement.

"Spanish" is actually Mexican Spanish on the app... rather than Castellano which is Spain's main and official language. The world is biggerthan America but some companies don't allow for that in your software. I know that i can still input Castellano but when learning new words it's not helpful.

Duolingo è un app che uso giornalmente e mi aiuta a ripassare nozioni delle lingue che sto imparando all'università come inglese e russo, l'interfaccia è semplice e intuibile da usare inoltre secondo me è fatta davvero bene. Fin'ora di tutte le app che ho provato per imparare le lingue questa è la migliore.

L'unico svantaggio di Duolingo è che la versione gratuita non ha le vite illimitate e non ti permette di praticare le speaking skills le quali è possibile allenare solo con la versione a pagamento

1: Ik heb een paar goede pluspunten voor duolingo want ook tijdens drukke werkdagen kun je gewoon blijven leren omdat het maar 10 minuten per dag duurt.
2: Super handig dat het de woordjes die je minder goed kan steeds laat terugkomen waardoor je ze gaat onthouden.

Nachteile

Na een hele lange tijd van bijna 2 jaar bleef de app vasthangen en kregen we geen nieuwe woordjes meer dus toen zijn we maar een andere taal gaan leren.
