Some basic things with sublime that work are the search tool, the way the code is typed with different colors and spacing depending on what type of code. There is the possibility to open folders with all your code collection. Using additional plugins makes it easier to use. In addition, it is a very light program, it works on any type of computer basically.

I had some problems when opening many folders at the same time, which made my sublime stop working, and I had to open it again

One of its best features is its simple interface that, through tabs and its side panel, can visualize the structure of the project and its different files that compose it. Other things is its configuration through command and keyboard shortcut settings

One of the things against it is that sublime text is configurable, for a person who is beginning that this editor finds it very difficult to do it, it would be great if you can improve that aspect.

It has excellent searching and "find & replace" capabilities (including reg-ex) which makes handling of large amounts of texts a real pleasure.
In addition, it's lightweight (no effect on the laptops' resources) and just does the job. I even use it to take notes for myself for future use.

Nachteile

Since it's a plain-text editor, I can't expect it to handle "bulleted lists", so the automatic indentation upon line breaks is enough for this case. Other than that - no disadvantages...

As someone who works with multiple files and notes per day, it is very useful how it keeps tabs in memory even without saving it as a file. It saves me a ton of time that I can spend focused on my tasks. Across the multiple tabs I have opened, it is also helpful that it allows cross-tab searching. Lastly, it is also a very useful tool for developers as it can work with regular expressions and set color schemes specific to a programming language.

Nachteile

I found the package control to be a poor design in adding extensions to Sublime Text. I understand that it was designed that way to make the application light and simple, but I would appreciate a better and more user friendly way to add extensions.

Há um tempo tenho usado o editor sublime text na versão portable, tenho criado diversos scripts em python, selenium, html, css e java script.Muitas das automações que tenho construído tenho utilizado esse IDE juntamente com outro IDE já mencionado em umas da minhas reviews no capterra.
Possuí uma boa variedade de plugins, é versátil e de fácil usabilidade, e também está disponível uma grande variedade de atalhos que facilitam a velocidade na produção do código.

Á única obervação que tenho a dizer é , que principalmente na codificação em python alguns erros de indentação persistem, mesmo estando o código indentado.

Sublime text is what I've used for more than 2 years when I 1st started learning HTML and CSS. It has a great recommendation feature which helps user to predict exactly what they're searching for. Also I'm always the fan of sublimes UI and it's handy controls.

It has limited options for addons and plugins. Despite being the paid text editor there must have more options for add-ons which developers needs.

Sublime Text works extremely fast -- even with gigabyte files. I can open any text file with Sublime Text and I know that it will handle that file.

Another great feature that I use almost every time are multiple selections. I just select some part of text, press Ctrl+D many times to select every occurrence of this part in text, and can edit all of them simultaneously. Or I just select all text, press Ctrl+Shift+L, and now cursors set on every line, so I can edit them all. This saves me a lot of time.

Nachteile

It costs A LOT. Really -- 80 US dollars is a huge price. And... there is no other cons. Really.

Its great if you have a mac and wanted to use something like Notepad++ but for mac, but not as good as notepad++. Some plugins, and some customization.

Not as powerful as a full IDE, or even other great editors like VSCode, Atom.io, or Notepad++. Not many plugins and many are old and outdated. The customization was very basic and not too intuitive. Other features seemed halfway.

Sublime was for many years the go-to choice if you wanted a pure text editor to code in, without missing features like syntax highlighting. While there are lots of options now, it still is among my favourites because of its easy and clean UX.

If you want to do more than just code/text editing, you are limited pretty fast. While that may be a design principle, I think a less steep path from text editor to IDE would be a nice role for Sublime.

It's an all round text editor that fits perfectly for javascript, php and python projects or any interpreted programming language. And also is a perfect tool for simple tasks as creating a readme file or a simple notes. It's run very fast so the experience is very smooth, and have several advance features like multiple cursors or regular experssion searches that adds productivity

Although is well fitted for interpreted programming languages projects, it lacks for IDEs features like go to definition or refactoring, and as VS Code comme in, is like the older brother that no one uses. You have more plugins for other IDE Text Editor hybrids so maybe is being lefted behind

Sublime Text was the first proper editor I used when I started programming. It has a really good UI. It is fast, so it doesn't freeze when doing any operations. Sublime Text provides many syntax highlighting themes so that you can choose the one you like the most. Auto-completion and support for web development is also good.

Compared to other modern editor alternatives, Sublime Text lacks some plugins. It has many plugins but alternatives have thousands of plugins. Because of that it is not easy to compete with other editors.

The file directory on the left section is available to add a folder for the working space. It keep working files easily accessible from the panel. Supports a considerable list of languages especially related to full-stack web development with syntax highlighting support. The code navigation is smooth and comfortable for large coding files. Also, many options for customization are available in settings. Using all related plugins, personalizing all functionality and making use of shortcuts and macros can greatly increase productivity than other alternatives.

Nachteile

Settings are confusing to change due to many customizations available. There are some features hidden in menus. No printing function is available for code. I have to move to another editor for this purpose. Some plugins have no documentation and are no longer maintained.

The thing i like the most about the sublime text is its versatility, whether if you just need to write a script or make an entire programming routine, the sublime text gives you all the tools you need to do so. It has programming language recognition. It allows you to choose between several themes so you can type as comfortable as you like.

Nachteile

If i have to choose a thing i language like about sublime text it would be that it is not as mainstream as i would like, meaning that you may be forced (at work) to work worth another editor. Apart from that i cant find a thing that i dont like about sublime.

It is extremely light, and opens files extremely fast. There is an auto-save feature which already saved me quite a few times! Even though it is light and doesn't have too many unnecessary embellishments, it is possible to add missing functions via packages (for example to display JSON files in a more readable format).

Nachteile

No formatting possible (which for me is not a con as this is not the primary usage of such tool but I imagine some people might found this annoying). It seems that there is a keyboard shortcut for everything but this can take a while to learn.

Lightweight and powerful. Sublime text as become my go-to text editor as well as code editor. It's clean interface and high level of customization and color coding for various syntax and languages, makes reading and writing very clear and organized. It also has built in many handy shortcuts and controls for selecting entire code blocks, stepping in and out of code, and indenting or out-denting whole sections. This has replaced Dreamweaver and Notepad++.

Nachteile

What's not to like? The only thing I suppose negative is that it is a bit over the top in features, which can make finding and customizing it a bit overwhelming, but if you're using one of the built in syntax, it's relatively quick to get comfortable with.

Sublime is a wonderful tool for code review. It is fast and its search is all you need to find keywords and straightforward results, which also supports regex.
For a developer it is not the most useful since it has a limited capability to compile code, instead it needs to use the command line with linux support.
It also has an active community which ships different kind of addons for free.

Nachteile

The menu is not well designed. Sometimes it is even hard to find appropriate word wrap features.

The things that I liked the most about Sublime Text are as follows, - The use of colored coding makes it easier to examine or write code and ensures accurate code - It is ideal for working with large datasets as it is fast and very efficient - It supports keyboard shortcuts which in turn saves some time while checking or writing codes - It is very Simple to use and it is also very intuitive - It also allows to conduct extensive searches across entire code directories

The things that I liked the least about Sublime Text are as follows, - The message pop up for he free version constantly nags you to buy it, which becomes irritating when it becomes continuous - Syntax awareness can become a little shaky in certain contexts - It has no auto saving feature

This is the text editor I first meshed when I was learning to code. It’s reliable, customizable, and makes coding much easier than other products.

Nachteile

There are products that are similarly priced or cheaper that have all the bells and whistles. Sublime almost feels dated in a sense that most things that are automatically packaged in other text editors are hard to find on Sublime. And it lacks the plugins others have.

I ultimately chose both Sublime and Visual Studio, because VS had more of the plugins for work I needed, but Sublime is great for just quickly cracking open a text editor that’s easy to use and not cpu intensive.

It is a very smart text editor, which is very helpful since it make a lot of redundancy automatic and I rarely have to worry about what choices it is making because it usually makes the correct ones. It is a very light weight text editor, but behaves in a way where you also are able to reap the benefits of an IDE.

Nachteile

While using it as a free text editor, you will be prompted to officially purchase Sublime Text, which can get annoying. It is also difficult to interpret when you have tabs or when you have spaces.

Sublime is a very easy to use code editor. It give suggestions for the codes which makes coding very easy. it is very helpful when you have many tags and brackets. Its representation is very good so that we can identify any errors very easily.Also it has many shortcuts to align text , copy, paste etc... And many features like find in folder helps very much in coding. Coding is very easy with Sublime text editor.

Everything, I love sublime this is my go to text, code, in-line editor for everything. I can change my languages for code support, literally every language! I can use this as a lightweight text editor and save in any format. I can change my colours, fonts and themes. It’s so customisable yet so simple to use! You can download syntax highlighting extensions which make learning to code super simple!

I love everything about Sublime text. I have never said anything bad about it and never will. It’s free to use and I tell everyone looking for a simple editor to use this.

Nachteile

Frequent pop-ups if you are on the FREE version. This goes away once you pay.
Change fonts and making some other preference edits require you to edit a config file, while may seem daunting to someone who is just starting out. But the out of the box experience if good enough and you can get a lot done even without making these changes.

The things i like most about Sublime text are:
Identifies the code within the text. Very compatible with different platforms. Very light software to use. Text formatiing and manipulation is very easy. Package Controls can be added very easily. Multiple projects can be handled smoothly at the same time. Very helpful syntax suggestion.

The things i like least about Sublime text are
Plugins are less comparatively to others. Does not support auto save feature. Text highlighting is not very good. Less development recenlty. Debugging is also not the best part.

It's possible to open Sublime Text from everywhere. Any device, even the oldest ones can run it, and it has all the functionalities that a source code editor needs to have.

Honestly, I didn't like the way the plugins are managed on Sublime Text. Setup configs on the working directory were not very clear also.

By default Sublime Text has most of the functionality that I need to create and mantain our web applications and you can add more functionality with the benefit of installing plugins. It has very small footprint on the operating system and I haven't encountered any crashes or degraded performance.

Nachteile

Sublime Text has some great plugins but I find that some of the should be preinstalled by default or at least there should be an option to select some of them inside of the app installer. Also the interface to view and select available plugins could be easier to navigate inside of the application.

I like the editing controls which are provided with Sublime. Find and replace with special keys and also easy to bootsrap any pseudo code using this editor.

Sublime could have been improved more and become a full fledged IDE for software development.

Sublime is free, and keeps it simple. It doesn't have a bunch of crazy features, or complicated user interface with lots of tools on the screen. It's just your code on a full screen, color coded based on what language you're using. Other developers prefer to have extra tools like syntax checkers, or built in terminal consoles. For me personally Sublime is perfect. All the extra tools tend to distract me. Sublime has been my go to for my 5+ years as a web developer!

Nachteile

The only "bad" thing to say about it is that a popup appears every 200 times you hit save, asking for you to switch a paid version. This is very minor and is nothing to even really complain about.

The love how light-weight sublime text is. It's amazing to use and doesn't lag at all. It's fast and reliable. If you are in to add ons, you'll not be disappointed.

The irritating pop-up message to remind the user that they are using the free version. Something more subtle like adding (free) or something else would have been better. The user experience is something to be worked on. Some small features are annoying or not beginner-friendly.

I love the ability to integrate whichever functionality you like. You can user VIM, Emmet, Multiple cursors, Linters, Find Definition and the console - just to name a few. Other editors are extendable, but the community using Sublime Text is wide and made up of power users.

There is a bit of a learning curve to use this software. But if you stick through it, it will be totally worth it!

Sublime is simply the best option I would choose when it comes to having a note pad or a text editor for coding, it is true that there are a wide variety of frameworks that can make the coding life easier, but if you are the kind of people that likes writing from zero, then this editor is the best option out there. It allows you to format your code depending on the language you are using, using the formatting styles it's much easier to write and read because it also helps you identify the errors you might have.

I simply like this tool, there is nothing I like least about it. Maybe if all the operating systems had it installed by default would be awesome, that way you save the time of installing it.

The amount of time that Sublime Text 3 spent in beta was frustrating because my employer did not allow us to use it in the case there were undiscovered bugs. However, with that said I never in my time using the software have experienced any issues.

That is, probably, the best text editor with dozens features. I used it almost for everything editing code, images, txt files. Having Package Manager allows you to install any kind of plug-in, compiler and other. Its modular software and you can configure everything: font, theme, linters. It super easy to use with Ubuntu and can be access over ssh connection which is awesome.

Nachteile

I think the is not so thing that I don't like. Its free to use, with JSON style settings I can configure everything, so I set everything as I like.

There was a time when I would code each and every software project in Sublime, then that gradually reduced to a few to none. Please don't get me wrong. Sublime is an excellent piece of software and if you are coding on a relatively older machine this is the best Code Editor out there. Its free (read unlimited trial), extremely lightweight, fast and easy to set up. Also it has a ton of plugins and is extremely stable and has a huge community.

Nachteile

The only problem with Sublime is its refusal to don a modern avatar like those of its competition, even the open source editors feels and looks way superior to a paid software like Sublime text. It does not come with inbuilt git integration and the entire GUI looks old and outdated. Neither does it have deep linking to functions in a particular project environment.

Vorteile

Interface is very simple and you get a lot of space for your code. Moving through the code is very convenient. While developing complex logics in sequential programming languages like infobasic, code gets very lengthy. Sublime text makes it very easy to scroll through different modules of the code.

Nachteile

There are no plugins available for infobasic programming language. Basically the main issue with the programming in infobasic using sublime text remains i.e. absence of syntax error while writing the code.

The Sublime Text is good to write and edit code with an easy to use interface and user friendly nature. Its intellisense is fine. It supports many languages to code.

It doesn't support many of the popular coding languages. It is not so good for debugging. The intellisense seeks betterment. It is costly being not so competent in its scope of work.

It has the UI almost like VS Code, Which is simple and a little more distraction-free from VS Code. The multiple tabs are always a handy feature when working with multiple files.

I have been using sublime text 3 editor for the last 2 years. Its free version has a lot of features such as its shortcuts, IDE like features, custom snippet setup and also a lightweight text editor, there is no need to touch mouse in most cases. it supports most of the programming languages and their frameworks with the help of snippet packages.

I am facing few problems with sublime nowadays after a long time. it hangs while I am working on a project that has a lot of child directories. it does not work well with typescript (programming language) because there is no feature like auto import file yet.

It can support code written in many languages and many by the help of extensions. It have two display modes and used abundantly by many users. It is being highly recommended by the experienced persons. Sublime is easy as it save automatically and risk of any lose is much low. The code can be managed by the help of rows and van be easily organised in a well-mannered way. It can be used on many platforms and also offers easy navigation.

There is nothing in sublime that i like least. It is very easy to use and have no drawback at all.
