I love Google Meet, it enables me to have unlimited time to meet with my students and friends.
I love Gmail; it is easy to access through the mobile app and friendly.
I love Google Calendar, it keeps me updated, and I can always automatically save my schedules.

Easy to use and maintain. Much more user friendly than Microsoft equivalent. You don't have to install anything on a computer to use it. Being able to quickly access things from your Drive in to your Gmail, Google Meet, or other spots (like Slack) is super easy and makes for a pleasant user experience. It's much more difficult to use similar products with Microsoft or with any other open source software.

Nachteile

The apps for Mobile aren't as robust as one would like, but they're still pretty good. There are no apps for docs/sheets/slides/drive for Amazon Kindle, which is rather annoying, they simply open a website in Silk. However, most "apps" in the Kindle store are of a similar nature, so I can sort of excuse it.

They dont have a yearly payments option. I would rather have a 1 yearly payment, rather than a monthly payment.

The inbox is relatively intuitive and can be adapted to fit your brand/web domain; it's Gmail with your professional branding. You also get Drive, Meet, Google Docs and a few other apps.

I rely on Google Calendar to stay organized with client meetings, conference calls, appointments, etc. Although I use a Mac, it generally integrates well with my computer and software. The automated tools are helpful; the calendar invite system is fairly easy to use.

Google Docs are better, in my opinion, than the competitor products because they're so intuitive and it's easy to invite collaborators.

Nachteile

Some of the admin dashboards are less intuitive and hide key account settings. I often have to search 'how do I change X setting in Google Workspace?" because it's not readily apparent in the console.

Vorteile

For me the highlight of Google Workspace is having everything in one place - email, calendar, meetings, docs, and sheets I all use on a daily basis and it's very helpful to have them all in one place.

Nachteile

Only major con is that the formatting of microsoft documents is not always so smooth and can cause small issues when dealing with external clients. Apart from that, I think it would be nice to improve on the chat feature to add one more central function to Google Workspace.

To be honest I can hardly think of an improvement area. Maybe the formulas on Google Sheets at the beginning can be a bit tricky if you have a deep knowledge on similar tools but apart from that, I really enjoy using this software.

Google Workspace fails to have a dedicated illustrator tool on par with LucidChart, Vizio, or Illustrator. It is the one glaring issue that I have to go elsewhere to meet my business needs. JamBoard is ok but does not have all the features as some of the products that I mentioned.

As a manager at a gym, what I like most about Google Workspace is the ability to streamline communication and scheduling. Google Calendar makes it easy to schedule classes, set reminders, and share schedules with team members, which keeps everyone on the same page. With Google Drive and Docs, I can quickly create and store shared documents, like training audits, attendance sheets, and class schedules, so our team can access essential information anytime. Collaboration is smooth and efficient, as we can edit documents in real time, leave comments, and assign tasks—all of which help us stay organized and reduce downtime. Plus, Gmail and Google Chat provide quick communication channels, making it easy to stay connected with the team, address member questions, and coordinate on the go.

Nachteile

One challenge with Google Workspace as a gym manager is that some of the tools can feel a bit fragmented, especially when switching between multiple apps like Calendar, Drive, and Chat to manage different aspects of the business. It would be helpful if there was a more centralized dashboard that could integrate everything in one place, so we don’t need to keep toggling between apps. Also, while Google Meet is great for virtual meetings, it lacks some of the advanced features we’d want for interactive sessions or training, like in-meeting feedback or easy file sharing for participants, which would make it more effective for team coordination. Finally, new team members sometimes find the learning curve a bit steep, especially if they’re not familiar with Google’s interface, so training time can be a bit longer.

My least favourite thing is that sometimes even though I've given someone access to a worksheet, they don't automatically get access to links in that sheet. I'm sure there's a way to change this, but if there is it's not simple enough

Google Workspace is so easy to use. I love that I can so easily keep track of all of my businesses' needs inside of one platform and that everything syncs so easily. I've really enjoyed organizing all of my files within Drive, linking Docs to Tasks, syncing Tasks to my Calendar, setting up Appointment Schedules within Calendar, and embedding Forms into my Appointment Schedules. Everything is so smooth and streamlined.

Nachteile

I would love to see a mobile version of Google Tasks and I would love to see this get built out to work a little bit more like Asana, Trello, or Monday. I also would love to see Google Slides function a little more like PPT or like Canva.

For example, organizing email filters and labels across multiple users can get tricky, and there isn't always a lot of clarity on how to best configure certain settings for tax related data security. Also, the search functionality in Gmail and Google Drive can sometimes return too many results, making it harder to find exactly what you're looking for when dealing with large volumes of documents and emails.

It is so collaborative. I love how easy it is for myself and my work colleagues to share files and be working together on the same file at the same time. I've never encountered any issues with sharing work or updating documents when I am live in meetings. It ultimately saves me a lot of time as I can do things in real time and see the changes being made instantly and share those with whoever needs to see them!

Nachteile

As someone that has used the windows suite previously I do find it a little tricky to find all the features I am used to - and some functionality is missing altogether - like some the features around editing images in a google doc and some of the functions in a google sheet. I find I have to spend a little bit longer researching how to complete the task using the google workspace as some buttons, tools and functions are in different places or wok slightly differently

Google Workspace has all of the applications that I need for my businesses all in one place. It's so simple to login with my Gmails and have instant access to Google Drive, Google Sheets, and Google Docs. It also helps that I can easily switch between Gmail accounts to access my different sets of files.

There was a lag issue with Google Sheets that suddenly appeared, despite my Sheets not having large quantities of data and images. My team and I were plagued by this lag for weeks. However, it was finally resolved earlier this week.

It's tough to pinpoint what I like least since I use almost everything daily. If I had to mention something, I would suggest adding an option to create a custom login page for emails, like webmail.yourdomain.com, which would direct to a tailored login screen instead of going straight to Gmail. That's the only change I would make; everything else works great.

Some Apps can be costly as there is an ongoing subscription to access some of these app, this really does add up over time .also there are some app that are free like Gmail but there is limited storage . For you to access more space it means more money. There is a lack of some formatting options as opposed to some other software . overall it get the job done .

It is the most underrated Google Product. G Workspace has many features, especially for collaboration. All the tolls can be combined. You can take notes and create tasks, work on collective documents, and share files, all in the same environment. It’s pretty easy to navigate, for one thing.
The best part, for me, is Google Docs.
My wife and I work together and I love how I can write in a document and she can edit it in real time for me while I’m in my office and she’s in here’s. We use it for interview write-ups. I make my his notes and she edits them for me.

Using Docs as another example, it doesn’t edit super well. I’m finding myself having to capitalize proper nouns all the time, which wastes a lot of time. It also can’t figure out how to autocorrect super simple words, which is weird.

It’s definitely a hiccup when you’re used to the seamlessness of the online experience.

Another downside is the storage limitations. The free plan fills up fast if you’re working with a lot of media or big files, and upgrading can get pricey depending on the size of your team. It’s not a deal-breaker, but if you’re managing a lot of content like we do, you’ll probably end up needing that extra storage space sooner than you think.

Google Classroom's easy-to-use interface has greatly cut down the time I spend on admin tasks like handing out assignments and keeping track of submissions, giving me more time to focus on teaching and mentoring students. It's fairly easy to set up and create a workspace, and the default settings and apps are very good value. Getting access to the entire Google ecosystem in a professional capacity is a great boon to productivity.

Unfortunately there is not a "basic" or "simple" Workspace setup; you're treated the same whether you're an independent contractor, or a multi-million dollar company. This makes it pretty difficult to get some things done, as you have to go in and tweak a bunch of deep layered settings, or find out that it's not really supported at all.

To fully understand all the benefits of Google Workspace, you should ideally set up your own mail server at least once and understand how much work Google engineers have done to ‘package’ this product.
And while there are many more products in the Workspace suite, you'll mostly be using Gmail and GDrive.
The admin panel is well thought out and there are a lot of settings ‘under the hood’. You can leave it untouched and everything will work right away, or you can go inside and fine tune everything. But you can also mess things up. But! It would not be Google if there was no technical support. One time, but I messed with my mail settings and it stopped sending. I wrote to support, they called me back and together we fixed it.

Nachteile

Like any other cloud solution this is fine as long as you are using 10-500 accounts. Once the number of active accounts increases significantly, the monthly mail server bill may not be the most pleasant.
Also, surprisingly, using Google mail servers doesn't guarantee that your email won't be blocked by a spam filter. But this is hardly a problem with Google Workspace. All these SPF, DKIM and other SPAM blocking technologies are only good if both sender and recipient have configured them.

There is a learning curve when setting up Google Workspace. From my perspective, an average user will not understand the in-depth and granular onboarding process. Google Workspace seemingly treats its users as large corporations, and as such, it fashions its directions and setup process as though they are dealing with IT pros.

However, as a small freelance design studio (sole proprietor), I do not need all the features that are available to set up, such as mobile device authorizations, auditing, groups, and teams.

I wish Google had the option of scaling their set-up and onboarding process specifically to each user—perhaps a preferences board where options can be toggled on/off to lessen the confusion. Thankfully, I have prior knowledge of domain setup, mailbox management, etc. However, I still had to consult Google support more than once to ensure my settings were correct.

However, beyond the length of the setup process, my biggest complaint about Google Workspace is that there is no easy or efficient way to eliminate duplicate files and protect files from errant deletion. Therefore, if a sync session is interrupted, files can be inadvertently duplicated, or when files on one terminal are accidentally deleted, those files are also deleted within the Drive space—a complete recipe for disaster.

This has happened to me more than once. I attempted to remove duplicate files from my internal hard drive but didn't realize that my Drive app was still running. Instead of being able to correct my course and undelete the data, the app synced my changes to the cloud, and my data was forever lost (because of the sheer amount of it - over 4 TB). I've since attempted to restore many of the files using EaseUs recovery software and miscellaneous backups I have from other hard drives, but that has also turned into a disaster because when I start the copying process (restoring the files), the internet cuts out and the connection is lost. The whole process has to be restarted, but Google doesn't know where it left off and where it needs to begin, so the process starts from scratch, causing multiples of each file to collect in the cloud, and then it is synced back to my local hard drive - using up precious storage space.

Google needs a more robust solution to track file changes and versions, a check/balance approach to adding and replacing files, and the ability to resume a sync or copy session where it left off.
