The first steps with the application. It is not very intuitive and to enrol iOS devices that had not been purchased by Apple Business was quite complicated.

The "simple" kiosk on devices is making the end-user experience way simpler and easy to use. There is also a certain amount of logic to the setup.

The possibility of unattended access for direct support would have been a perfect add-on, since the device connection is already established.
The fact that not all apps are designed for predefined inputs via a MDM system is somewhat an issue - but not a flaw in the ManageEngine System :)

I like that for a small deployment you can use a free version and still get support when you need it. It's also ready easy to set up Ipads and create unique profiles for different users

Unless you have used it before you need to do a lot of reading on how to even get started. It's not the most user friendly on the flow but they have good documentation.

The kiosk feature is perfect for our use case.
The ability to set up a full managed device via token enrollment meant we could have full control over our non-enterprise android devices.

Nachteile

The device customisation in terms of wallpaper and home screen layout is a little clunky. But the issues we have had with it have been resolved in a timely manner.

I always prefer technical controls over administrative controls, which is why I highly recommend the ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager product

You can block almost everything you need to perform a DLP system on the mobile device; you have control of all peripherals.

You can modify the behavior of applications like Outlook, Office, Teams, and Chrome, allowing you to fine-tune any restrictions that you may require.

It allows you to track your devices in real-time.

Distribution of applications is easy, and you can create multiple app catalogs.

The price is below average. For the corporation, it was only 2.77 for each device. No minimum is required, and it's FREE if you have less than 25 devices.

You can give remote support(only view) on mobile devices.

I would like it to have a web browser content filter, but none of the tools that I tested have it. You can block a list of URLs, but that isn't the best way to do the task.

Importing devices from one MDM to this new platform is a bit clunky and not necessarily intuitive, however their Support team, who was available by chat right on the same screen, was a huge boon and was ready with screenshots and clear directions.

However, there are notable drawbacks. One issue we frequently encounter is the need for manual synchronization of devices after updating policies. This manual process can be time-consuming and disrupts the seamless management experience we expect from a mobile device management solution. Additionally, we've observed instances where students have been able to circumvent device controls, posing security risks and undermining the effectiveness of the platform.

I like that this is a robust and comprehensive MDM solution and is reasonably priced for the features. It allows me to set policies for the devices, integrates easily with Apple Business Manager, and deploys easily.

Nachteile

Some settings and actions are difficult to find. Certain screens seem redundant and don't allow the same actions from one to the other. For example, we marked a device as lost but after it was found, we couldn't find the setting to mark it as found. Trying to push out apps individually to phones doesn't always work. There is significant overlap, in my opinion, between the Enrollment and Inventory screens and finding which one I need for applying certain settings is complicated.

Some of the support documentation needs to be updated. The web interface can be a little confusing, and some feature menus can be difficult to locate. For about half my devices it was necessary to go through the enrollment process two times to get good results. Medium level learning curve.

Manage engine MDM plus have a great nice to have feature, such as content management and announcement. Geo fencing is also a very great feature that other so called "MDM industry leader" don't have.

Remote control somehow don't work, we can only see the screen but can't take control. Kiosk mode have major flaw, when the device with kiosk mode rebooted, it has a delay before entering the kiosk mode about 10 to 20 second. So make sure to restrict any form of factory reset or developer mode in policy even if we use kiosk mode

For a small business it with less that 25 mobile/portable devices it currently let us to fully manage all of them without restrictions. We are currently looking to expand as we evaluate.

The layout could be friendlier by better navigation. It has the appearance to be overwhelming, however you'll be able to find what you are looking for. The instructions videos did include good details however, it doesn't fully match current layout mostly due to updates.
