The API for your text, voice and everything about communication
It just works great and helps businesses communicate effectively and programmatically.
Vorteile
Twillio has easy integration with different programming languages like Ruby, C#, JS and etc .. All their API can be used worldwide which is a great plus against their competitors.
Twillio has good technical support in case of debugging and being commonly used by lots of engineers, there are lots of resources around it that are very helpful and beyond that, the document is very thorough.
Nachteile
The price for international calls and SMS could be cheaper, and WhatsApp business can be a bit hectic to implement compared to other APIs

Great SMS notification broadcasting platform
Once connected to other business software such as company CRMs or CMS it makes communication from this software to customers much more efficient and professional. I'd highly recommend it to all service or product providers.
Vorteile
Allows users to keep track of messages sent and this allows not only for detailed customer follow-ups but for proper accounting. The SMS notifications in particular make our customers feel more appreciated since the connection to our contact lists for example is easy and seamless. Doesn't require much technical expertise to setup and maintain.
Nachteile
The error feedback messages are not unique and this causes confusion to users as we cannot sometimes pin point the actual issue. I feel with the number of rich features that the User Interface might be a bit of overkill.

Absolute must
We have incredibly high SLAs and Twillio has contributed to us hitting them.
Vorteile
We make us of Twillio for sending sms messages escalating incidents based on Zendesk triggers.
It's super easy to configure and connect to Zendesk.
Pricing is also great.
Nachteile
The only con we have found is ideally we would want to have the sms come from a specific number every time but this is not possible. After speaking with Twillio support this has more to do with the country specific provider than Twillio.

Super easy to use and setup.

It was super easy to integrate and setup SMS messaging and validation with Twilio. Just a few hours and we were done.
Nachteile
I wish the cost was better at high volumes. Once you hit 100s of millions of messages there are cheaper solutions.

Amazing text messaging automation for non-developers
Vorteile
I cannot thank Twilio enough for coming out with their product called Studio. I'm a digital marketer with limited developing skills in coding but I love using their API. I have always struggles to make sms chat bots and programmable voice systems until they introduced Studio. Even better yet, they give amazing tutorials on how to use it step-by-step. I highly recommend Twilio.

Very much a UI for developers and for people that are familiar with coding.

Twilio Review
For a global application that require sms, call, verification features etc that values speed and assurance of delivery and has active income or is funded, I would definitely recommend Twilio.
Vorteile
● Efficient in terms of SMS, Call verification, 2FA etc.
● Twilio is Integrated to mobile subscribers all over the world.
● Integration is very easy from different platforms and using different programming languages.
● Proper and Efficient documentations including tutorials.
● Easy to use interface for web application.
● Provides analytics of usage both through web application and pricing through API.
Nachteile
● Twilio is quite expensive.
● Different account types create confusion at times ie trial etc. This leads to quite a number of API keys at times that have different permissions.

Review on Twilio
I make use of Twilio to send OTP to my user's and so far it's been a good experience but sometimes I have to resend OTPs which translates into extra credit used
Vorteile
1. They have libraries that make it easy to integrate their services into your software without having to handle hashing and http request yourself.
2. It takes less than 5 lines of code to send an SMS using their Python library
3. Their rates are quite affordable
4. They offer $15 free credit to new users
Nachteile
1. Sometimes it takes a long time for a message to drop on the receiver's device or may not drop at all
2. Their charges are quite expensive compared to some of their competitors
3. The free credit they give cannot be used to send an SMS to just any number without pre-verifying these numbers

Easy to use, but quality was poor

It was easy to implement. They have a lot of solutions that fit a variety of needs.
Nachteile
I will preface this by saying I used this about 2 years ago, so their quality may have improved since then. But we dropped it because of the voice quality. The voice quality was challenging. There was frequently a delay in conversations, making it really frustrating for customers.

Best Programmable Voice Solution for Pro Users
Vorteile
You can have one tracking number forwarded to various clients, saving you tons of money! Also, getting onboard and creating advanced solutions is very easy as they have fantastic devs explaining everything on their youtube videos. If you're a large lead gen business, it's a no-brainer!
Nachteile
Not a great option if you're just getting started or a small business. There are better alternatives for you.

Solid for Salesforce integration
generally speaking very happy we haven't had any significant issues with twilio and it's allowed us to accomplish our texting needs seamlessly in Salesforce.
Vorteile
Super easy for our team to use. We actually use a third party UI called Mogli. Twilio is the back end for our tool though.
Nachteile
It was a bit of a pain to set up a tool like this on an invoice basis instead of a charge as needed basis.

Mass Texting made easy!
It's been good so far, it definitely helps us send out our messages in mass to reach all of our clients. It's fairly easy to use and navigate.

Such an amazing and flexible platform
It has been amazing journey to use Twilio very few minor hurdles.
Vorteile
Twilio has almost all offerings towards communication platform. You could build your automation without writing a single line of code. i.e. Using their Studio product. Also, you they have small modular functions that you can write to add any other needs that you might want. This is solid cloud offering with most use cases covered in communication. They also have integration with Whatsapp and they have roadmap to add Wechat integration.
Nachteile
There are very few cons with Twilio products. And they are very minor. For eg. They won't let you use pay through your companies standard pay process unless your volume exceeds certain threshold. Until then you will need to use your cards.

Seriously powerful SMS text messaging features from your own web systems
If you build custom web systems like we do, you need a good tool to interface with cellphones. Twilio gives you a system and API that can be configured to do just about anything you could need.
Vorteile
The API is really powerful and relatively easy (as far as APIs are concerned) to use.
It's not too hard to use and can be configured to do just about anything you could want.
It's cost effective.
It's very reliable.

I seriously can't think of anything wrong with it.

Vorteile
Twilio has good callback system and retries associated with it, it was really easy to integrate with our application. Additionally, we can know do it internationally and help us expand our business.
Nachteile
The administration page could be improved. And it seems that it is not easy to understand which countries currently twilio support and if it's supported income and outcome messages or not.

I haven't had any problems using this product at all. I suggest it as a tool in your toolbelt for developers.
Vorteile
I love the ability to completely customize this product. If you know how to program, then this programmable voice is easy to use. The voice options are great, and the reliability is spot on. Very stable and reliable product. Thumbs up guys :)

Debugging the product is a bit time consuming, but it is getting better.

The best in the market in ease and price
I have various configurations, but I use it for a digital coupon system. I send SMS and Whatsapp clients in a personalized and automated way.
Its api is great and most computer scientists know it.
Vorteile
The company was never my first choice. There is cheaper IP telephony. What does not exist is any global operator with so many integrations and a good price. Whatsapp api offer. It's great. Because of these things, little by little I have moved for myself and my clients.
Nachteile
The only thing I don't like is that there are more manuals in Spanish missing or a channel in this language

Vorteile
Twilio is by far the favorite SIP, programmable voice and text company I’ve used. And I have used quite a few. Their API is amazing and documentation is so user friendly. I use them for VOIP, automated SMS systems, automated ROBO calls and much much more. Will never move away from them!
Nachteile
Pricing, it could come down a hair, but still worth the price you pay

I've looked into a ton of different sms/calling API's, and Twilio's is the fairest price for the easiest to use API. It's just been a pleasure developing software around it.

I would say that the best Twilio features require a significant amount of technical experience. It's certainly great for developers though!

I manage a website which allows users to enable SMS based secure login. We use Twilio as our SMS service. I haven't had experience with their other services.
Vorteile
Easy to use libraries are provided for most languages so that integration is super easy - sending a text is pretty much a 'one-liner' if you use this method.

In simple terms, the most complete option
Vorteile
I use Twilio in my online marketplace to notify users via SMS about actions that happen in the marketplace and when they have a sale or a customer sends an inquiry about one of their products. This makes my company and its services more professional and eases the life of the sellers. Before I forget, customers also get SMS notifications when they buy and receive an answer from sellers. Twilio is cheap and its documentation is extensive and to the detail. One of my best choices, Twilio.

Vorteile
This product allows customer engagement to be simple. Right now Customer Satisfaction, Customer loyalty and Customer NPS are all buzz words in the consumer industry and this product solves them all. Just starting out and have some sort of tech background, get started fast with really great guided "Getting Started Guides" on Twilio's website.
Nachteile
Though this might not be a con, I believe you really have to receive some sort of consultative conversation regarding your business needs from a Twilio reps to make the best purchasing decisions. There are a lot of different price points, the good thing is you may start off small then scale from there.

Vorteile
Twilio has been amazingly simple for our initial use of allowing our congregation to text their gifts. It is also a positive that it prompts the user after their gift that they can make the gift reoccur automatically. Haven't seen the numbers but I am expecting that this has upped the percent with auto gifts.
Nachteile
This could just be that I have not found it yet but we would love to be able to use twilio to text out from the church without needing the user integrated into our CHMS already. This past weekend for example we used a separate app to send text messages to new guests to the church a message from our senior pastor as we didn't want the guest in our database yet.

Fastest way to get a SIP Client to Market
Anyone (with some engineering experience) can set up a SIP Client with Twilio. Easily the best & fastest way I have found to create one.

The perfect API to get you started but there is more...
Overall, its a good system for academic projects or startups but might not be ready as of now for industrial deployments.
Vorteile
1. It has an interface that a software engineer who loves his/her scripts as as well as an IDE person would find it easy to integrate.
2. It does have a learning curve but its worth it.
3. You can cross country call and message for free.
Nachteile
1. They would work more on security aspects. You can basically use this to spam people all around the world.
2. If you have ever messaged on scale with twilio, you would find it slow as it scales but since it has been around from last 2-3 years only, I would give it a benefit of doubt to scale to their audience size.

Very flexibly SMS (and Messaging) Solution with a bit of a complex pricing structure

Twilio was selected as a part of a larger pilot project for one of our clients that required messaging. -There are tons of different messaging options to choose from, including SMS, MMS, WhatsApp, and Facebook Messenger. -We ended up going with SMS, but it was nice to have the flexibility to switch things up if we wanted to.-Being able to send messages to multiple recipients at once was a huge time-saver for us.- Great API documentation -The reporting and analytics features were pretty decent as well for tracking message delivery and engagement. The pricing can be a little confusing, and it's definitely not the cheapest SMS solution out there. so if you're on a tight budget, it might not be the best option for you.

Great product, never had any problems
I use Twilio as a SIP provider and I am very happy with it! I route lots of international calls through Twilio.
Vorteile
Totally reliable, just works. Using it with Freepbx/Asterisk, easy to implement. Lots of APIs or extra functionality.
Nachteile
No problems so far. Would love it if they would offer their own SMS client. Did not find any good one through third party vendors.

Super low cost calling, easy to integrate into software and it's also great if you're just building a standalone application. Very easy to work with API.

This program seemed to have a lot of features.
Nachteile
This system was all-around confusing- it was tough to know what was what. In order for this system to work, one had to tie-in a third-party application. Too complicated.

My experience with twilio
As I mentioned before the problem that we wanted to address was a reminder that is needed based on the location. The user may be traveling in a bike or driving a car so a small notification would not be enough so that was the reason for us to seek twilio and use it's voice feature

I really like the whole idea of the service. Our team was building a location reminder app for which we wanted twilio to notify users when they are near their location. We seriously we're blow away by the ease of use and how it all worked in the end to put together our product

To be honest. There was nothing we could complain of and had a good experience overall. So, there is honestly nothing to booo about

Solid SMS gateway, but not for the faint of heart in terms of config
Vorteile
Twilio saves me from having to manually look up carrier sms information and use email to send out group notifications. I can now just enter phone numbers in a tool, and twilio takes care of the rest.
Nachteile
Integration and initial configuration was rough. It took a fair amount of Googling to get tied in with our wordpress environment.

Vorteile
It is good for taking calls and very easy to use and understand. It is less complicated than the other software I used to use back then.
Nachteile
There are a few minor issues that affect this system I’m not sure exactly why but sometimes when I refresh the page it comes up with a error message and I had to sign back in.

Great Communication API
Twilio is very powerful, but you really need to know what you are doing to achieve maximum results.
Not noon-friendly.
Vorteile
Twilio is a market-leading communication API provider. In terms of features, Twilio offers it all pretty much, SMS, voice, video and authentication. The way their user interface is set up allows the user to browse through the different categories of services their offer.
Their API is top-notch and works smoothly if you know what you are doing.
Nachteile
Customer service is so-so, takes a long time to receive a reply by email most of the time, 36-48 hours on average. The tutorials they have are definitely not noob-friendly.

VoIP leader
One of the leading VoIP platforms on the market. Nice and easy, especially for the requested price.
Vorteile
Fantastic service for the money they ask! Twilio is a wonderful tool for building an infrastructure for making phone calls and sending SMS messages. Certainly it has a learning curve, but overall it's much easier to get setup and running than most of its competitors in the industry.
Nachteile
While its'a much easier to learn platform than most and the UI has significantly improved overtime, it's not as simple as I'd like it to be. Once you get into it it's OK, but teaching the new stuff on how to work with it definitely takes some time.

You need to be tech savvy to work with Twilio. It's not a plug and play solution for someone looking to add functionality unless you know programming and APIs.

Just about every telephony feature you want
Very competitive and stable platform. Had pretty seamless integration into custom site caller application and easy audit trails for calls I was working on.
Vorteile
RESTful API makes integrating scripts very easy and is highly salable, quick and easy to provision SMS and phone number services as well as advanced call attendant and recording features. Plenty of support for international dialing as well.
Nachteile
Nothing comes to mind for my use case but it is possible the platform does not comply with certain regulatory requirements for certain institutions (not sure if this is the case, but worth investigating).

Solid Communications API Company
I used them for a few projects, not currently but I always had a great experience and intend to go back with them for future projects.
Vorteile
They have amazing code examples. Support is fast and fair. They are a great solution for communications API needs.
Nachteile
I wish they had a cheaper option to use for bulk SMS marketing.

Really nice service for WhatsApp Api
Overall, my experience with Twilio was good. They have a lot of features and integrations that make it easy to use their platform. The customer service was also good, and they were able to help me with any questions I had.
Vorteile
There are many things I appreciate about Twilio, but some of my favorite features are the ease of sending and receiving text messages, the low cost of the service and the great customer service.
Nachteile
The user interface can be a little confusing and difficult to navigate.

Overwhelming trying to implement Twilio
haven't received any benefit yet, I haven't got the software working properly yet.
Vorteile
I like the fact that they are able to send out automated SMS through Twilio and my CRM. I think they have an implementation team.
Nachteile
they have the integration between the two already set up, but I'm not finding it very easy to set up.
