When needing support we are directed to use their search engine; in the 4yrs I have used the product not once have I been successful in finding my solution.

The great thing about Quickbooks online is the accessibility, ease of use, integration capabilities, automation and the scalability.

Nachteile

While quickbooks is a great accounting tool with several benefits, it may not be the best tool for every business. It's limited customization, internet dependency, long wait for customer service, adding to that it's a costly online service and it might be designed to be user friendly but might pose a challenged for some users.

The design of the software, in general, is user-friendly. I studied accounting, but even my team members who didn't, had an easy time with the learning curve.
I also like that it is Cloud-Based and that the entire team can access it from different devices.
Another feature I thoroughly enjoyed, is the automated reports. I set it to be sent automatically to the management team before every performance meeting.

Customer support is pretty slow to solve inquiries, and on certain occasions, several days would pass and when we check with them they would start the resolution process from scratch.

It can be somewhat cumbersome to navigate. Some screens take you back to the beginning where some screens don't take you anywhere. Some topics aren't titled the way you think they would be so you tend to try to hunt something down. Some titles don't function they way you'd think. We also had a function set up and now after some updates that QB did, it doesn't function the same and is challenging. The update messed with hours of set up and production.

I like having my invoices all in one place. I do not utilize all of the add-ons, however, it seems that Quickbooks has everything a small business would need to be successful. Payroll, mileage, Payment acceptance, and end of year tax prep is all available. The customer service is always helpful!

It is a way to record deposits, it links with my bank, and provides a platform to communicate accounting with our CPA.

Too many features which I don't use can't be sent to the background. They are constantly trying to sell me more on the app, which I do pay for so why am I being advertised to? Something that should be simple like saving a deposit that I am working on and staying on that deposit can't be done. I have to either save and new or save and close. So if I don't save it, get distracted and it times out, I loose my deposit, which may have had 20 items in it pending.

I run a creative business so it was important that any accounting software be very simple to use. I found that QuickBooks was very simple and intuitive. As soon as I signed up I was able to quickly get it up and running and sending out invoices. Having the ability to accept credit cards made it a lot faster to get paid and I liked that the software would send out reminders and late notices.

Expensive. You need to pay a monthly fee plus a substantial amount on every invoice you send out.

It was extremely user friendly. The dashboard took the guess work out of cash flow and the reports were very easy to use.

It is a little too user friendly. Someone without a lot of Accounting experience can go in and make changes without understanding the ramifications. Also the issues with multi currency made it harder to use.

The Receipt Tracker is great. I can upload/email receipts/invoices to my account or take pictures of them on my phone, and QuickBooks will extract the information in them for me saving me hours of time each month tallying up my expenses.
Being able to link my accoun to my Bank Account is great as it helps when marking invoices as paid. I don't have to manually check my bank account t osee if each invoice was paid saving hours each month.
The reporting features are great for quick looks at how your business is running over the month/months.

Nachteile

The site is slow responding to clicks and loading.
It does not allow you to use your own domain when sending invoices, which can cause issues as they can be blocked as spam on some clients filters.
Some things can only be done on the website or the app, and not both.

It was a great price. It had more of the features I needed than others. It was easier to use than others.

QBO is an outstanding accounting and invoicing software. There are many different options on how to organize/structure your business depending on your model. The invoicing is simple, effective and clients seem to like the format.

The job tracking drives my team crazy. While the pieces are there, it simply doesn't function in a way that allows us to truly track the financials on a project tip to tail. We can also count on Quickbooks to continually drive up the price for existing subscribers because they know how hard it is to transition away from accounting software once it is installed.

Quickbooks Online is a valuable asset for running our day to day business while also keep track of everything for our accountant. It's easy to create invoices and payables reports for my team. It's also very handy to have on my phone when I'm out of the office and need to check an invoice with a customer.

It has taken a while to get used to the new invoicing layout; I know that it's more streamlined for mobile but as a primary computer user, it was less intuitive when it was first implemented, but has gotten better as I've used it more. The other negative I have with Quickbooks Online is their Quickbooks BillPay; they say it's supposed to be quick and pay within 3 days, but in my experience, payments weren't arriving to my vendors until a week later with no notice.

It was the best of the worst. Honestly, we would love a more modern AI-driven solution that did not always require us to bring in bookkeepers and accountants to clean things up. That is a BIG reason we are looking at Puzzle.io right now.

Some features don't work well for the price, so you constantly have to make journal entries to correct them. For example, Quickbooks often duplicates logs invoices you send from here even when you've manually tied the invoice to the payment.

Similarly, if you want to delete a reconciliation, you must have an accountant do it. Some of the hoops you have to jump through are cumbersome.

The appearance is awful, you cannot change the size of the font to make certain aspects of your invoice stand out. It is too congested and not spaced out well at all! They also offer a subscription where you can learn all of the ins and outs of Quickbooks to ensure you are getting use of all the amazing features they offer. Their Support Team is so knowledgeable and friendly they make sure you understand steps needed and are able to resolve issues.

There have been a few issues we have not been able to resolve as well as some user errors that really need correcting but overall not a lot of things I don't like. Issues include reconciliation balance issues and incorrect amounts withheld for employees.

I do not like the temperament of the automatic receipt matching. Oftentimes the receipts I upload aren't tied to their respective transactions. The image file used by quickbooks in the receipts tab isn't a file type accepted to upload to a transaction so when the receipt doesn't tie to the transaction automatically I have to adjust the file type of the photo to use it. It makes the process take longer than just emailing myself a picture of the receipt and attaching it.

Honestly, the only positive thing I can say is that QuickBooks Online is widely used, so finding accountants familiar with it isn’t too hard. Beyond that, it’s hard to find much to like.

QuickBooks Online is incredibly expensive for what it offers. It’s slow, clunky, and the Mac support is abysmal – constant glitches and issues make it a nightmare to use on Apple devices. Integration with other Intuit products (like TurboTax) is also terrible, which is frustrating since they market these tools as part of an ecosystem.

Having been a long-term user from the desktop version to the online platform, I can say that the experience has only gone downhill. Both versions are riddled with bugs and poor customer support. Switching to the online version was supposed to make things easier, but it’s only made things worse.

Data is organized well enough to be able to go back and find any transactions that I need to look for. The system typically runs very smooth with minimal glitches and slow downs.

The integration with external apps could be improved. The versatility of QBO could be enhanced to interact more clearly with other/more apps.
