From the getgo, powerpoint is really easy to get the hang of it. The learning curve is not as steep as its competitors. As the go-to tool for most of my presentations, I find it easy from the getgo to setup and present without any hitches! It has a myriad of options from customizable templates, 3D objects, a bunch of really nice animations and transitions, collaboration tools and my favorite addon, power-user! It also keeps up with the times, ensuring that the user has access to today` s must-have, cloud storage and the always nice record video and ability to publish-out to office 365 stream service, where you can then turn your presentation into a video! Oh, and the time-saver; pre-built layouts of slide design!

Nachteile

Hard to find any major cons here! Perhaps compatibility with older versions would make it a little bit seamless. Using different versions could sometimes lead to file corruption issues.

One thing i´ve appreciated the most about this sofware is that it gives you the option to download the presentation in many format as Pdf and PPTX. It has many layout and many animations very pretty and attractive. It also offers many font and the user has the choice to use which is convenient for him.

At the beginning when i was still in college, i had dificiulties to make presentations because powerpoint was new to me but as soon i learned how to use it, the is nothing i can tell as cons. I can only coment about the lack of upgrade of the software.

The presenter needs multiple equipments such as laptop, projector and a white projector screen to be ready to deliver the presentation. The file size is often too large which makes difficult to email the presentations.

I absolutely love the templates from which I can choose. I am studying at the moment and using this software on an everyday basis. We make a lot of different kind presentations at university, more boring and limited ones, as well as creative ones. I love being creative in PowerPoint cause there are so many options, and I love the new functionality of the help section and the fact it can generate me the look of a slide. It's like a fashion designer for creating lovely presentations. Plus it saves me time.

A couple of times I had a problem with templates which I found by the name "Tech". I wanted to use them for one of my projects, cause they were perfectly matching my topic. Unfortunately, at the moment I pressed the button and confirmed I want to use that template, but then it did not download and I got a pop up saying there has come to an error. I checked my connection, which was fine, and tried again for a few more times. I got the same pop-up window and then I gave up. In the end, I made my own presentation theme, but it took me a lot of time and effort. That's why I would suggest the developers check out this section of templates to see what is going on...

I honestly haven't found anything that I haven't liked on PowerPoint. Never once have I come across a problem that I couldn't figure out how to do something. I guess if I had to find something my complaint would be that it doesn't come free when purchasing a mac computer, but that's it.

I really like the flexibility it offers for a user already working on other MS tools like Excel. Charts can be copy pasted directly and most of the stuff works in a similar manner. So it becomes intuitive to use it. It's universal acceptance is a plus. So you can carry a powerpoint file and be almost sure to be able to open it anywhere.

The charts functionality is limited. Few charts used very frequently like Waterfall chart is still missing from the latest version. I have also faced some issues with backward compatibility of versions. A file created in the newer version might appear different in the older versions and vice versa. This should not be the case as sometimes if it needs to be opened on a different machine than on which it was created, it can disrupt formatting.

In the same way as it is used daily in my organization this tool was of great support in my creations of Slides in my university.

There are slide templates available to use and once you get one set up the way you like it you can just copy and paste the slide as a new slide to keep all of your formatting and just update the text. It's also easy to add in slides from other people who will be presenting with you. They can send you their slides and you just copy and insert them where you want them.

I believe that there are not alotof cons i can mention but what i always had problem is there are not alotof types of designs and for more options we need to upload or download new designs from the lists as well it is also hard to work on the background designs which the sizes are always making the effect of the picture that i attach very illegible

Honestly, I don't have any complaints about the software. It's a solid program. This is more of an issue with PowerPoint users, not the actual program itself. PowerPoint should be used as a visual aid to a presentation. Users should not just copy and paste a lecture script onto slides. Slides should have very little text, mainly just bullet points of key information you plan to present. Instead, try adding images and media clips that act as a visual aid. When you load your slides with too much text, it becomes distracting and your audience will be too busy trying to read it rather than actively listening to what you have to say.

I am a power user, using complex, layered animations and have never found something I couldn't animate in PPT. It's Mac and Windows interoperability have been improving constantly and the template / pallet tools are excellent to keep employees across the enterprise

Complex animations still take time as you have to define step individually (For example if you want to move and grow a text you need to select the movement vector and the text size change separately. Ideally I woudll place it in one place in one size, mark it, move it and resize it and viola I'm done...)

Interoperability with Mac is still missing around non-true-type fonts, and most average users do not know to avoid them.

Microsoft Power Point helps me with the productivity of demonstrating solutions. I enjoy the ability of explaining how the solution works. Furthermore, making sense of it to shareholder for example as they think of investing in a plan discussed about in the demonstration. Without this, one will just not take my word for it. The offline editing is an awesome too to use.

The loading speed of the software needs improving. It takes three to fifteen minutes in order to load and open. Too slow when I need to open the software the very moment people are ready to view my presentation. The design needs an update. From the logo to the customizable templates. They need an update!
