Vorteile

Initially the set up video were extremely helpful and something trainerize was considerable easier to negotiate than other systems I tried. The mobile app is brilliant and syncs with lots of other systems meaning data is collected all in one place. My clients have also found the app to be very user friendly and easy to use. I like how the calendar features allows you to drag and move item to different days - again a great feature. The customer service has also been very help in answering any questions, they also add extra reading links on the topic which i think is above and beyond.

Nachteile

It doesn't sync with Samsung health yet but they say this is in development. When comparing clients workouts in the progress tab it doesn't list the workout in the correct exercise order which is a little frustrating when trying to review clients progress. It doesn't use averages in the progress tab for nutrition or bodyweight - I hope they add this as I have to use a google sheet to personally calculate this at present.

Its features suited what I was looking for more. Mainly in syncing with my fitness pal, data analysis, calendar ease of use and the mobile app for clients.

Vorteile

I believe that this is a great way to learn how to use online fitness software because it is very easy to use and they have a lot of great features to use to make the coaching experience easier.

Nachteile

Trainerize is a bit costly for what you get when you can get 10 - 15 clients for what it cost in the Trainerize basic package. The trainerize me website is so cluttered with multiple profiles which are not from the area your looking for its difficult to figure out what you want and many of these profiles have multiple spots take up on the website. Most of these trainers also don't have any listed certifications or experience in fitness which creates ethical concerns for the platform.

I feel that this software goes an extra mile when it comes to tailoring and personalizing fitness programming for clients, but ALSO the trainers. In addition, the quality of the videos are excellent. You can choose between the full explanation video or a short loop of the exercise method. I also love that you can add personalized exercises and video for your own clients.

Nachteile

I wish there were more pre-made programming available. However, I want to note that the detail and quality of the available programming is excellent.

Vorteile

I love that Trainerize is always looking for our feedback as trainers and making improvements. I have only ever used Trainerize because there has never been a need to go anywhere else. They fill the holes when they see them. It allows me to give an amazing experience to my clients too. I receive referrals just because of the app alone! I feel like I can over deliver with it

Nachteile

I don't like that there are some auto messages even when I don't want them. There is difficulty with scheduling sometimes for international clients. I also think some of the videos need better form from the Trainerize library. I also think that there are too many glitches between phone and computer. Sometimes my phone will say 30 progress photos even if there is only 3.

I really like how there are video demos of all the exercises - and if there is not an exercise in the list that fits what you are looking for, you can use a YouTube video and create your own. It's user friendly to the clients as well, and they can track their progress in various ways. They can track their weights used for each exercise, refer to weight they have used for that exercise in the past, and then when they finish a workout, the app tells them if they have set a new personal best (and it tells me too!). I was also able to upload nutrition information and set macro goals, and see their progress if they link My Fitness Pal. I also appreciate how I get a push notification when a client completes a workout, sets a personal best, or messages me - eliminating the need to constantly open the app for updates. It sends them reminders to do their workouts as well.

Nachteile

I feel like it took me about a month to figure out how to create workouts and have them appear to the client how I wanted them to. There are also features for the client that I don't think they are aware of, and would be helpful if there was a mini tutorial they could go through when they get started (tracking weights, substituting an exercise, etc.) I also had one client who said she had to take the app off her phone because it was slowing things down/wasn't working - but that could have been an issue with the phone.

This program is great! It has so many features and a great dealmof flexibility. I have some clients that are just fitness and some that are just nutrition and aome that are both. It works great for all of them.

Nachteile

The main issue I had with this was setting it up. It's pretty easy to set up once you understand it, but the learning curve is a little ateep and so many features it's a little overwhelming. There are a lot of helpful resources to get going but be ready to take on a major project.

The relatively easy “plug & play” app that plays a vital role in elevating and improving the standard of health/wellness globally. In comparison with other similar platforms in the market, this would and should be a natural choice for anyone wanting an accountability partner included to however one has designed your life. It manages to eliminate the fear of starting a business from scratch, and has a range of different metrics, features, scheduling , support and even scaling on an existing client if anyone decides to do so.

This is certainly a platform I’d recommend to anyone whether be it a business or personal interest in improving their overall management of this particular area in life. Thank you!

To be honest, there are tons of areas that can be further improved. However, this has served well enough with its current functionality and like any experience with anything that works, it only works if you do. So far, I’m happy with the limited features of the app and nothing that concerning has become an area of dislike.

Wish some of the branding looked a bit better...I might have also not sent the most optimal files. I also wish that messages from clients and to clients were received as better notifications. I don't notice messages from clients until I am inside the app and I am assuming they don't see mine until they log in. Perhaps I'm missing a notification thing here but I just wish messaging was a little more noticeable. Clients might not want messaging going thru all the time, but I certainly would like to receive messages from them right away.

Trainerize is probably the most affordable option for new trainers. Programming and PROGRESSING workouts is easy enough, as well as organizing your exercise video library. It has a great messaging system and integrates into a lot of other products like Apple Watch, Fitbit, MyFitnessPal, Slack, and they keep adding more. The client gets a daily to-do list with all the things you programmed such as workouts, habits, tracking, cardio, and nutrition.

Nachteile

Although you can create program templates that include workouts, messages, and measurements.... I wish you could "stack" program templates. For example, give a few clients the same workout program but pick and choose which messages get automatically sent (or reschedule ONLY the messages for example). And although Trainerize offers a lot of integrations, I wish they had a membership portal with forms built in. (like PTDisctinction offers)

It’s so easy to use and setup a programme as well as monitor client adherence. It’s good value for money and as a trainer I found it great and easy to setup.

Nachteile

My android users had a different interface to me, I tried to explain how to use it and they struggled. Such a shame.

It addresses most of the fitness programming and online coaching needs while allowing integration with other best in class platforms for an overall comprehensive system. (Still further to go, but the development team seems open to addressing these needs)

Well, it isn't perfect, and it isn't all things (but nothing is, so to be nit picky)
The big items are:
- the integrated pay system only allows one package or product, no add-on upsells to a pre-existing service
- there is not an integrated scheduling system (yet)
- we cannot assign Master program and a Custom program to a client

The exercises library is very extensive. It's very rare that we can't find what we need. Even then, we can add whatever exercise we need from an external source.

Nachteile

The ease of use on the client's side is not optimal. Often, we have to explain to clients certain functionalities. It is not as intuitive as it could be.

Taking in consideration everything, this is the best online personal trainer software at the moment. It has more exercises, less bugs, better ease of use and much more than the competitors. Still, it's not perfect but they are constantly improving.

I have been using Trainerize for over 3 years. It has helped me build my business. Being a personal trainer my wife and I were able to move everything online vs in a gym. Freeing us to train more people and in less time. We can create programs, see the client's activity level, see how often they are working out. Trainerize also has a built-in messenger which is great since it is separated from our personal text messaging. I looked into and tried other programs similar to Trainerize but Trainerize, in my opinion, was so much better than the competition. Not to mention my ideas were heard on improvements to make and things to change. They are always coming out with updates and making things better.

Nachteile

I don't really have many complaints about Trainerize. Typically if I had a problem with the software or needed something to be done that it could not currently do, then the developers would work with me on making those improvements. It has been amazing to see the updates they have come out with since I started with them. They really want the user and client experience to be great and they want you to be successful!

Workflow suffers. When training strictly online weight selection is tied for number one in importance with technique. Where you time is squander is with clients who have to have their weights added to guide them. They must be entered for every workout. We currently use our workout builder we have designed in excel to program the training and then have to transfer those numbers. We use a formula or boolean statement to process this. If trainerize could allow for weight percentages that are based of a weight we define and then define that percentage for each individual exercise your time per client will be cut in half. We haved used this program strictly online with high level athletes and your every day gym goers. The price per minute of your time is slightly over breaking even. I would love to talk more about how we use our builder and trainerize togther to help come up with a solution.

Also there is no list of new exercises that are imported. I have filmed exercises only to see a month later trainerize has their own version.

I love that Trainerize is constantly improving. I've been using it since 2017, and love the constant updates that makes running my online fitness business much easier! I love that they have a great exercise library, and still add to it often.

Nachteile

It doesn't allow for other apps to run at the same time. When tracking a workout, if you leave the app to try to open a music app, the tracking stops. The timer should run in the background. Also, it crashes a lot.

The trainerize app makes communicating with my online and in person clients a breeze. The library of exercises and templates saves me hours. And the constant upgrading and new features are constantly making the experience even better.

There are some features I wish it had, but they are constantly improving and adding more features as users recommend changes.

This is a low overhead cost for me. I can train clients from anywhere; without renting time/space out at a gym. I find extreme value for my money as I can train multiple people at once. Trainerize keeps client messaging solely on the app. This does not mix in with my personal text messaging.

Nachteile

I need to upload multiple meal plans for a client. A client has a low carbohydrate/high protein day followed by a carbohydrate loaded day.

I love how I'm able to visually see the progress my clients are making, easily check the macros that they are hitting while the app links to MyFitnessPal, and deliver workout programs that my clients can access

Nachteile

Sometimes it gets buggy and the nutrition changes do not load for my clients. And also some of my clients report having difficulty with notifications and/or receiving messages

So many things! I love the way you can build workouts and easily implement then into clients plans. Love that it tracks your progress from workout to workout. Also love that it graphs body weight, stats, has pictures, steps, habits and even a meal plan option. I seriously can go on and on about the app :)

Nachteile

I wish that there was a notes section by each exercise so you can add in a lil something about that exercise. Like if you used dumbbells or cables. Also when messaging it would be great if there was a send button and that the messages didn't send by hitting enter.

This software is great to write workout programs. There are great demo videos for clients and the option to import videos from YouTube is very useful. The charts showing my clients' progress are great snapshots that help me keep my clients' progressing towards their goals.

Nachteile

What I like least about this software is the lack of weekly averages for weigh-ins and weekly averages for calories and macros. Right now I am hand-calculating both of those and it's a lot of extra work.

The second thing would be to make the timer automatically start counting down upon the completion of an exercise. This is a feature that my clients love from other apps and miss in this app.

The ability to make edits to clients' programming via the mobile app is almost nil. I always have to get on a computer to change anything which can be a hassle when I'm on the go.

I love how easy it is to create programs for clients and check in with them. They truly take the time to listen to the users to create a great app.

The only thing that I find that I don’t like is that programs can only start on a Monday. I also wish there was a way to prorate a month if someone signs up on a Wednesday but their monthly programs doesn’t start until a certain date.

Trainerize was great for us in the beginning with less volume of clients. It gave us the ability to upload our meal plans and build workouts. I love that it has workout videos and exercises loaded into the app for when you need some inspiration for new client workouts.

Nachteile

It was a bit outdated compared to other training apps I have seen. Only allowed for one meal plan upload at a time and was always in a document format. Would love to see this software integrate with a meal plan building software.

Tracking capabilities for my clients and myself. Easily accessible from both ends. Very customizable. Constant tweaks and new new features.

A little buggy when I first started using it about 4 years ago but it's been constantly tweaked and fixed.

I love being able to graph my clients progress as they work towards their goals. The visualization really helps people that need constant verification of their progress. I also wish that the notes that the client writes in the individual workouts could be easier found overall versus having to track down that exact workout plan.

Nachteile

The software on the app is hard to design workouts, upload exercises or do anything other than talk to the clients through the messenger. There are many times I need full access while only having my cellphone, and it forces me to postpone my work until I have access to a computer.

I like how you can request features on the site and customer service does respond in a timely manner.

Trainerize can be integrated with Stripe, but they don't allow you to pause payments for customers. This is a feature that Stripe allows, but Trainerize Pay (Stripe-integrated) hasn't included that feature. This was something that coaches have requested to be included, since many clients get sick or go on vacation and want to resume at a later time.

Nachteile

I would love to see Trainerize add a built-in document signing feature for clients so that they can sign waivers and training agreements in the app as well. This is the only feature missing that I have to use an outside service for.

The #1 reason I love this app and training software, they’re ALWAYS looking for improvements. I’ve been using the software to train my clients for 4 years now and the Trainerize team has made HUGE improvements in the software. They’re constantly making it better and more effective. I’ve never been disappointed with their feature add ons or updates.

There are times my app is slow on my phone. This can be extremely frustrating when I’m trying to keep in contact with my clients and communicate with them.

What I like the most about Trainerize is their long list of features (that are continually being updated) as well as their customer support, more specifically the chat feature. It's nice to be able to talk to an actual human and their follow up game is on POINT!

Nachteile

What I dislike the most about Trainerize is ease of use. It is extremely difficult to navigate, especially when you're just setting it up. But i've been using this platform for years and I still have a hard time navigating some features like the client food logs. There are so many features but unfortunately they are difficult or unclear to access.

The app is easy to use for my clients. Workouts are easy to set up. Trainerize is always trying to update the app and make things easier for the trainer.

They did change how to upload your personal YouTube videos. Now you need the URL, where before you could check a box and it would upload. Used to be easier.

1.) I wish I could view and create master programs and master workouts through the app. Especially since I am currently on the go a lot and it would be awesome if I could build my client templates on the go.

2.) A ‘trainer’ slot for our own workouts and programs would be a great addition. It would also give us more experience with the app, which would be helpful in answering any client questions.

They have every feature that I need available and more for my personal training business. They have articles that provide tips on how to get the most out of the software. The tips are applicable and useful. The pricing is in a great range for myself and my clients.

There's a lot going on at once. It can be difficult to grasp everything at my fingertips and explain things to my clients. There are videos available but a lot of my clients already have a difficult time with technology in general.

I live the ease of use. I studies other similar programs and found them too time consuming to learn. Trainerize makes it super easy. I like that you have the option to upgrade for more clients; thereby not having to invest more money when you may not have the clientele to support that investment. The help desk is awesome as well. I like the updates & improvements that Trainerize has published as well. The program is great for keeping track of your face-to-face clients in addition to clients you train online. Overall highly recommend!

Nachteile

Any cons that I might have had in the beginning have been resolved with the addition tonaccwor payment through the program. The only recommendation I would make is the ability to make notes within a client’s account.

THere are so many things to like about Trainerize but one of the things I love the most is the ability to scale the amount you pay to the amount of clients you currently have. Sometimes these types of software are so hard to get into when you are just starting out. Trainerize makes if possible to pay a lesser amount for fewer clients and to pay more as you grow.

While the software is actually pretty simple there have been times it has taken me a while to figure out some features such as creating programs and setting up groups

Sometimes when I am designing a program for a client it feels like the process should be easier. It's probably that I have so many of my exercises uploaded that it takes some time to design a workout. That and rarerly are two of my workouts the same for each client.

I am working 10 hours a day and that leaves very less time to go to gym/fitness center/classes to keep myself healthy and fit.

Then I came to know about Trainerize which is great app to get fitness training without travelling to fitness center. It really saves great deal of time and helps me keep fit. I also get advice in planning my daily diet so that I can manage my weight.

I am getting personal training for fitness at my home itself, which saves my time and ofcourse car fuel. Also I can use it according to my time schedule, no need follow the time schedule of fitness center which was not compatible with my office timings!!

Nachteile

It works on internet connection and when internet is not available then theres a problem. Also it does not show notifications sometimes.

The people that are behind the project. The customer service is phenomenal and you can tell that they really care about producing the best quality app possible.

Still feels a bit 'unfinished', but it is obvious that they are working to add new features every week. Really wished some features were a bit more fleshed out, but over-all, it's still a good product.

Differences between trainer and client views make communication difficult - often times my clients will forget to see the "notes" on a workout or not see how many sets or reps they have because on their end, these features are more hidden/non-intuitive

It lets you keep track of your short-term and long-term goals easily. You can track your calorie intake and match it up with how much you have burned today. Your trainer can instruct you by sharing videos from Youtube or by creating his own demonstration to help to master the right technique for a particular exercise. The best thing is that you can never have a cheat day without your trainer knowing about it.

Website building feature is not that advance. However, it not that important when your trainer already have a website. There are other ways to build website as it is not for buiding websites.

You can create programs and payment plans right inside the app. It’s easy to use. There are so many features that benefit a personal trainer. I love this for keeping my clients on track with their goals.

It does not connect with all fitness trackers but other than that I feel it’s an amazing tool.
