Simple to use, but surprisingly deep, Confluence is a solid choice
It's very easy to teach someone how to use Confluence because if you know how to edit a document in Word, you are 75% there.
Vorteile
Confluence is super easy to use. You can click on a page and be editing text in no time. Editing text is just like editing a Word doc using a fairly straightforward GUI. You can also format code blocks as well as informational blocks to help tidy up your documentation and call out important points.
Nachteile
No real cons other than it can be a little tough to set up a standalone copy of Confluence. We decided to go with the cloud based version for ease of deployment and management.

Good way to share information across teams
Confluence is a good tool for documenting many things in an accessible central location for all your teams. Adding content is easy to do and it is easy to copy content from office documents if needed. While we don't do any directly integration with other tools, the ability to add hyperlinks in the content does make is relatively easy to link to content maintained in other tools.
Vorteile
It is easy to add pages of information that can be shared across the team and the organization.
Searching for content is a full-content search which mean you are likely to have what you are looking for show in search results.
Page content has versions so one can restore past versions or compare what has been recently changed.
Nachteile
The content formatting tools available can be difficult to use.
Adding files and images is not all that easy to do.
Searching for content is not always easy in order to find what one is looking for; content can easily get difficult to find when many are adding content.

Vorteile
Confluence has a wide use-case. We use Confluence as a knowledge sharing platform and there is a lot of potential in that. I like how confluence shows you "related articles" when you are reading something because this helps me to find the information I am looking for faster.
Nachteile
I find this platform way too hard to navigate. I find that when I do not know exactly what I am looking for, I am very unlikely to find it. In addition, I don't find that the search function always picks up what I am looking for; it seems to be very specific.

Confluence helps my company collaborate and share knowledge
My team is able to save, organize, and share papers in one convenient spot thanks to the superb document management tools that come standard in Confluence. Because of this, my team is now able to seamlessly integrate internal collaboration methods into our day-to-day operations by having instantaneous access to all relevant project documents and information.
Vorteile
Excellent program for group work and information exchange. It comes with more than a hundred different layouts to choose from. Access controls are provided, and team members can easily connect with one another. It's an excellent resource for building and managing a database of how-to guides to be distributed to clients. It's also great because it works in tandem with other attlassian applications, such as JIRA.
Nachteile
Unless one is familiar with the relevant duties, I find the administrative side to be a bit of a hassle. Limitations in personalization and usability in document format selection make it difficult to create documents in specific ways.

Confluence documents when clicking on a link take you to a new page thus leaving confluence. This is a minor inconvenience and would be better if it opened the page in a new tab

I was fortunate to work for a company that had an excellent Confluence admin. They made using it very easy. Navigation was intuitive even to new employees.
Nachteile
In the wrong hands, it could easily get very disorganized very quickly. Its flexibility and configuration options are its greatest strength and potentially its greatest weakness with an inexperienced admin.

Brilliant and use it for project management with multiple stakeholders to manage!

Not only it allows for effective collaboration that enables users to create, share and edit like Google Docs, but that added layer of ease to navigate between different documents (imagine words with excel-like tabs) is brilliant. It acts like a centralized repository for documents, information and knowledge. Users can organize content into spaces, pages and folders, making it easy to find and reference important information. Also, it has good version controls that enables users to track changes easily.
Nachteile
It may look complex and difficult to learn initially, as there is a slight learning curve prior to being able to use it swiftly. Separately, sometimes I do encounter lag in loading large quantities of data or complex page structures.

Great platform to document knowledge
Confluence is a great place to document anything you want to share with a big team. But it definitely needs some manual guardrails and structures to not overgrow into a pit of knowledge. It provides a great set of tools to document text and media assets, charts, and code in various languages. Tagging is supported as well.
Vorteile
It's a giant notebook. Our more technical teams use the platform heavily to document ideas, progress, processes, and features. But it's available company-wide, so our HR team also collects information from the whole team (e.g., as simple as dietary restrictions for company events). You have a great selection of widgets to include knowledge in a properly formatted way (e.g., code snippets or charts). It's easy to use, and it is very flexible to use.
Nachteile
The users certainly need to adhere to structures. Because of the flexibility of Confluence and how much you can put in there in so many ways - it can easily become a jungle of information. The search is also not the best to actually find content. You really have to know what you are looking for (and the right buzzwords) to find anything - especially if it is a little bit older. It would be great if you could get hints like, "Oh, you want to create a new page about this? Do you know that this page here is about the same topic? Want to link each other?)" or make the search more powerful to look not for specific terms but times pages have been created/modified by specific people.

Great real-time team collaboration tool
Since we deal primarily with functional requirements documentations, which tend to be somewhat large, the fact that the UI is flexible and the history of our edits is easily retrievable is invaluable.
Vorteile
The ability to quickly and easily establish a wiki is what attracted me to Confluence. Having this capability will make it simpler for newly hired employees to acquire the information they need to become fully integrated into their organizations.
Nachteile
The only real drawback I've run with so far is the difficulty of setting and maintaining access controls for who can edit specific documents.

Confluence digital workspace makes it easy to work from anywhere.
We are using Confluence to facilitate our work mostly our remote work and it does an amazing job of uniting us and bringing us together to work as a team and collaborate on our work. This has seen us carry out successful remote projects.
Vorteile
We really love using Confluence as it gives us a workspace where we can easily connect and collaborate on our remote work as if we are working from a single desk. It keeps all our project details including plans in a safe and easy to access location making it a reliable knowledge base where everyone can have access any information they need without any struggles. This helps us to always be on the same page when working on projects and in return, we get to be more useful and productive both as a team and at individual level.
Nachteile
Confluence has always showed us the perfect side of it and so far, nothing seems complicated about it.

Good for collaboration on Projects.
Overall i am happy with Confluence as team is able to collaborate and share all info on same confluence page . its very easy to share the page and change the access to users.
Vorteile
Its very easy to use and edit . Very easy to keep track of permissions every user has . Good to user when whole team needs to provide update on same Page.
Nachteile
Lack of data visualization and analytic tools . there should be some easy way to create filters and tools to create graphs and charts from data we need to enter for the Project that looks good for project presentation.
