I liked that all members of the team could edit projects and the team lead/supervisor could keep an eye on the task list right from their phone. I really liked that each lead could view task completion and add or remove tasks and set priority tasks as well.

Confluence is just what companies need to have everything documented and, when you start a new job, having well written wiki pages for every project and every team helps to onboard much faster. Also, integration with Jira is just incredible. Atlassian know what they are doing.

I like the way Confluence is set out it displays all the information as you may want it to. The sites across our internal platform have been customised and it is super easy to navigate and search across Confluence definitely a plus.

Nachteile

Having inherited a users site I would recommend having an admin team and manage the overall instance of Confluence. The permissions, access can easily spiral out of control. Not being an admin I have not dealt with the permissions aspect but I would highly recommend having global and local rules as a starting point.

I love that we can create and maintain client information and documentation for all of our internal teams to utilize. We can customize spaces easily and editing is simple and easy to use. The integrations with some other platforms we use is helpful as well and easily allows us to pull in things from other places.

Collaboration using Confluence has been by far the best aspect of the platform. The default templates for content such as meeting notes, project plans and knowledge-base docs are superb, and this has helped tremendously with establishing consistent norms and saved time at our company. Additionally, it's been very easy to navigate and locate information on shared documents via use of Confluence.

As a Product Owner, I use Confluence mainly for Documentation and as a Knowledge Base.My use of Confluence is very much linked to my use of Jira.The developers will write the documentation of a User Story in Confluence and then link the page to the Jira ticket. It's very useful to quickly find information (sometimes on topics that are several years old).I have also used Confluence extensively for Project management. When I work on a new feature that involves several stakeholders, I use Confluence to store all the meeting notes, brainstorm ideas, business cases etc in the same place. I find it clearer and more suited to collaboration than in a Sharepoint for example.

The 'export' feature could be improved. At the moment the formatting gets all over the place when I export a Confluence page into Word or PDF.
