Salesforce and Conga integration is great. We can easily access to CRM data and generate the documents via Conga solutions. Also, creating Conga Template is easy. We like to use the dynamic template depends on our conditions! Mostly, configurations in Conga is great!

I would like to add Conga Document Generation Buttons on reports. With this functionality, we can use the buttons for batch document generation processes.

The flexibility in document creation is excellent, allowing us to generate files in any format we need. The file-sharing system is effective, enabling us to send large files that can’t be shared via email. Additionally, the collaboration feature makes it easy for our team to work on documents together in real-time.

The interface is not easy to use. Some of the tutorials help but my team found the learning curve difficult. It's a bit expensive for our small business use. I can see a large organization seeing the value for the price.

Integration with SFDC is good. When it works it's smooth and gets to clients and contacts effectively. FAQ & Reading literature is extensive and helpful for specific issues.

Integration with SFDC is good, but doesn't come with a lot of early, out-of-the-box power. It's rather complex to implement and we required additional services to assist in doing so. Difficult for a smaller company to execute and even the developers stuggled (3 months of issues) to get it up and running properly.For the price, this product needs to be far easier to use, easy to try and easier to buy. The limit of like 10 licenses + 5 for Conga Sign assumes a very large staff doing more than most companies want their teams to be doing in 30-50 employee companies. Also startup costs were high as mentioned and training was a little unclear for a 1st-time user, instead providing decent solutions for advanced users or devs.

We leverage Conga in conjunction with Salesforce. Conga is fantastic at both aggregating the right documents based on indicated the criteria presented, but it also serves our purpose of Document storage and providing scalable version control around our documents.

Nachteile

While the tool itself is fantastic and serves our needs, support needs to step its game up. Cases aren't responded to in a timely manner, and the solutions provided tend to be rather Lackluster, to a point where we generally find the solution ourselves before support does.

I teach people how to set up Conga to work with our software and the most common feedback I get is, "Why are there so many parts?" You do have to be fairly savvy to create a really elegant Conga output, I wish it was a bit more streamlined.

We integrate Conga Composer with Salesforce, and use it to autogenerate PDFs from completed online applications. We are able to take information from multiple Objects, and nest multiple child records in the same document.

The switch from Conga Merge to Conga Global Merge was horrid and not executed well. We are unable to track documents in Salesforce the way we could before. The solution to use Conga Batch never worked after over a month of Conga Tech Support trying.

When we moved CRMs it was useful to be able to upload existing documents in Word format and then just update the new merge fields. The documentation on the website is good and relatively comprehensive. The admin side of the lightning app has some nice features.

Nachteile

It takes a long time to load the Conga Composer app/component in order to generate a document. The app itself looks 'retro'/still in the style of Salesforce Classic. Similar softwares have nicer, user-friendly, document creation features, this means our sales admin team are reluctant to create documents themselves and everything relies on more IT literate Salesforce admins to create the documents.

I love the integration with Salesforce and the simplicity of implementation. There are lots of easy forums to get training on how to code up the templates to automate the information coming through from Salesforce. It has greatly improved efficiencies within our team and ensures consistency in the documentation going out to our customers.

Our security systems really struggle with allowing the software to always work, this is more an issue our end than a Conga criticism but i'm sure every business using this has very strict security on devices which needs to be considered carefully when using the product.

The default printable view in Salesforce is almost unusable. With Conga, we can now make printable versions (PDF's) of Salesforce records/pages that look great.

The setup of different templates isn't that straightforward initially. It takes longer to generate the PDF output than is ideal.

It is so easy to use. Within minutes, I can set up a basic composer template. Within two hours, I can set up a dynamic document from a set of clauses. Within a day, I can set up an entire document package complete with proposal presentations, quote documents, marketing glossy PDFs, and all based on parameters determining what should be included in the package.

Users love Conga Sign! They can get a signature back in a matter of minutes vs days. Very easy to use and as an administrator I love what I can do with it. We were able to improve all our contract templates using the tool.

Seems like there is more than one way to set up Conga Composer which can get a bit confusing. If I am doing some testing with templates using Conga Sign it can time out from time to time and I usually have to give it a day for it to start working again.

What I love the most is how easy it is to create amazing documents. I mean I can literally take a predefined or custom template and auto-populate it with data from other platforms. It's amazing!

The most impactful features of conga document generation is the content management system where we can choose the template for campaign management and email management. Along with that other features like digital and electronic signature comes quite handy at times. Last but not the least the document storage facilities.

The tool did produce an attractive and well formatted proposal. Making most updates was easy.

We were told that the proposal would easily convert to a word document, which never happened so this was a challenge when clients needed a word document from us. Tables or excel type formats were extremely difficult to incorporate into the document. The content library didn't offer any format for organizing, only searching. Anytime we attempted to send our proposals out of the tool, we were not confident that our client would receive it, so we stopped using this component of the tool. Adjusting the page breaks was very time consuming.

One of the best features is the document generator. From a users' perspective it is more than comfortable to generate a a document with fields that were already filled in Salesforce, rather than to open up i.e. Word and fill out an existing form. On the admin side it is also well to administer. The software is overall well maintainable. Furthermore the component can be easy to set up on corresponding Salesforce objects via different buttons.

Nachteile

From a users' perspective the intuitive UI and the product itself are easy to use. However it can be sometimes a bit frustrating for an admin to create a new template using Conga Queries. For me personally it would help a lot if the query builder would be a bit quicker and if it could also display merge fields. These merge fields are (at least in our org) currently only avaiable in the composer itself via the Template Builder. Sometimes it can be also difficult to debug a template. It can happen that a template might throw a SOQL-exception but it isn't shown where the exeption was thrown.

Setting up solutions- we have a number of different use cases and every solution is so different. I also hate deploying solutions (not really possible).

Sales process was low-pressure. The user interface is easy-to-use, and Octiv's training/onboarding set us up for success from day one. Great company with great people! Proposals are beautiful, and we get great analytics.

We weren't able to integrate a payment /processor gateway but that has more to do with our current stack than a gap in Octiv's capabilities.

Conga makes it easy to create templates for contracts, forms and any other kind of document that can be autopopulated by our CRM and customized with data that has already been entered. We can create contracts very easily that are all consistent with one another without waiting for a member of our office team to create documents for the sales reps. It empowers the sales team to be able to send out proposals and contracts on their own time rather than waiting for other members of the team.

Setup can take a while to get used to. There are a lot of unique ins and outs about Conga templates that can get very complicated, if you have a complicated use case.
