Brightwheel review
Brightwheel allows for an open window of communication between teachers and families of students.
Vorteile
As a teacher I love the real time updates and being able to communicate with parents throughout the day. Parents love the picture and videos feature.
Nachteile
I think the only con is that the Quality of the photos could be better

Brightwheel Review
Over all I enjoy using this app and it has increased communication with parents and documentation of children's goals. I would reccomend Brightwheels for any child care center that needs a more secure way to keep teachers and parents in touch with one another.
Vorteile
I love that I can communicate with parents so easily. I can send them messages,videos, pictures, update them on naps, meals, potty times, and more. It makes it very helpful to help manage and communicate during a time I no longer see parents face to face.
Nachteile
I don't like that parents can only message us through the app and can't send us pictures or videos. I also do not care for the glitches I expierience while using this app or the lack of control over the messaging features.

Best preschool tool for teachers-parents communication!
I would highly recommend it to another preschool as an important tool for communicating and keep a log for each children and for parents to see as well.
Vorteile
My daughter’s preschool uses this software as a daily journal. Here I see pictures of her, diaper changes, notes, what she eats, and etc. I really enjoy seeing what she does on real time.
Nachteile
So far so good, it’s been bliss, easy to use and fun! I only wish the daily photos could be downloaded automatically to my cellphone gallery.

Better than most!
I got to see great pictures of my kid (and save them to my phone), and quickly message his teacher if I need anything. Their alerts also surface on my phone, which is a great reminder tool!
Vorteile
The UI is nice and clean (and intuitive), and has more features than other apps I've used, like saving pictures and videos, messaging the teachers, alerts, etc.
Nachteile
It could still use more development. You can't see complete threads/exchanges when messaging the teacher. But other than that, it's great.

This is an incredible app. I'm able to pull up daily reports and pictures of my kids day.
Vorteile
This app is so great. It really helps me have a good conversation with my kids every day after they get home from daycare because I know what they worked on that day. We also get to see pictures of the kids in their element without us there. It's awesome.
Nachteile
My least favorite feature is the fact that I don't get to see previews of the messages or pictures and instead I have to open the app every time I want to see the latest updates.

Easy to use particularly for afterschools and pre-school
Good application but still pretty much in infancy. Allows a lot of control and is designed to support aftercare and pre-school clients. Interface is basic and leaves a lot to be desired. Plans are pricey

My brightwheel review
My families LOVE brightwheel! They love being able to log in any time during the day and track how their child’s day is going. I love the sign in and out feature, and being able to invoice my families right on the app. It works so smoothly and everyone seems to love it!
Vorteile
I really like how easy it is to use the software. I like how you can add a student and all their information so all you need is the app to access every students information. I love being able to track my employee’s hours. My favorite part is giving my families the option to pay online.
Nachteile
The one thing I do not like about the software is not being able to customize my invoices as much as I am able to my original way. It has gotten a lot easier to be able to input what I want, but it would be nice to have a few more options on customizing them. Another thing would be to send automated invoice reminders if parents don’t pay by a certain day and time.

Amazing customer service, easy to use and understand app.

I love Brightwheel! They have the best and most user friendly communication app ever. Our families love getting videos, pics and updates and our staff enjoy the ease of quickly updating a childs day.

Great and easy to use app!
I think it’s a great and innovative app that is easy to use. It’s a great communication tool for parents and teachers.
Vorteile
This app makes it SO easy to communicate with parents throughout the day. We can easily upload photos of the kiddos or speak with the parents about something urgent in the click of a button!
Nachteile
Sometimes it’s hard to remember you’re in Room check and click on a students name and check them out - some parents worry even if it’s just for a second!

Bright Wheel User since June 2017
There are several things I like about Bright Wheel like the ability to communicate with parents so easily. There are some functions that really could use some tweaks - for instance, I'd like to be able to add employees to the system without an email address; I'd like to be able to print invoices for entire family groups, not just per child, so that a parent can see how much TOTAL they owe; I would like for the payroll reports to print a timesheet of clock ins-outs per employee rather than just a total number of hours for the time period queried, etc. However, Bright Wheel's customer service has been excellent. When I message them about something, I generally get a response in less than a day and they do appear to be listening to my suggestions - sometimes I will suggest xxx update to billing and with the next update, they've done it. I do appreciate that I feel like my input is being heard and considered seriously.
Vorteile
I like that parents and teachers can communicate easily with each other.
Nachteile
The billing functionality lacks some features I'd really like to see.

Working Mom Helps
Overall a great app that allows parents and centers to connect on a regular basis.
Vorteile
This is a great opportunity to allow parents to get a glimpse of what their kid is doing at daycare/childcare while they are at work. Lets you know what is going on and a good secure way to keep in touch with their teacher during the week and or weekend.
Nachteile
A little cumbersome and I wish you didnt have to click on the child to see the messages. THat would be helpful.

Convenience and Communication
I was happy on a whole with this product. I think it addressed our needs effectively. We just needed to set parameters around times of communication.
Vorteile
I liked that I was able to communicate with parents of the students easily and in a timely manner. It was convenient to use as it was an app on my phone. It made it very convenient for parents to answer questions or concerns we had as well as ask any questions of our staff. I loved being able to share snapshots of.the students day with their loved ones.
Nachteile
Some parents easily abused the ease of communication ad it came through ad a text. It could easily become a problem with parents contacting you at all times expecting an immediate response.

Brightwheel: simple and easy
My pros above should explain most of this. Brightwheel is great: simple!
Vorteile
Brightwheel is simple and to the point : let’s us spend less time on our phone and more time concentrating on the kiddos. We recently switched back to it from LifeCubby; LC was too crowded and complicated. It required training that most staff didn’t have the time for. Brightwheel let’s us compile all info in one place and makes checking in a breeze!
Nachteile
It doesn’t allow you to post something to multiple classes. I have a combined age classroom sometimes and it would be nice to post a pic of all kids from classes at once instead of doing it separately for each.

Bright wheel for Childcare
Bright wheel was the first and only check in education app I used and I loved it. It truly made my life and administrations life easier, we used the app when clocking into our child care facility for the day, checking kids in, communicating with other staff and parents, and for photos.
Vorteile
What I like most is the quick ability to talk to administration and the parents right through the app. We can send photos to the parents and give updates when the child leaves the room for nap time, recess, etc. I have recommended this app to other friends in the industry.
Nachteile
It glitches, also, if a child is in your care for lets say an hour, then that child is forever on your roster so when you check in children into your homeroom, there will be students who are not in your room and it can make it difficult to navigate when you have a 100 students.

Great for Daycares
Vorteile
I enjoy using this for my home daycare so parents are aware of what their kids are doing throughout the day. The can get real time updates of when their child uses the restroom, eats, sleeps, etc. It's easy to use and you're able to individualize for each child.
Nachteile
I'd like to have an option of knowing how long (hours and minutes) a child has been in my care for the day with the click of a button. We have a 48 hour limit per week for a child to be in our care and this would make it easy to calculate.

Brightwheel is a great purchase
I am very pleased with our choice to use Brightwheel. It has simplified our processes!
Vorteile
Brightwheel has been excellent for communicating with our parents. It has simplified our check in/out process. It is helping us eliminate paper! They provide onboarding help which is good.
Nachteile
There are some learning challenges in switching software. We have struggled with the billing being so different but have figured it out. The customer support is very helpful but they have been bombarded so it's not always immediate.

Vorteile
I love how easy the program is to use. I am able to update within seconds and in realtime. Gone are the days of tracking on paper! I love that I can snap a photo of my kiddos busy learning and at play, add a cute caption about the learning taking place, and send, all within seconds. The parents love knowing their child’s schedule and what they have for meals, naps, diapering and education. I have a lot of positive feedback. One comment that is most prevalent is how much they enjoy seeing photos of their kiddos during the day. Prior to BrightWheel, the parents would drop off and pickup with zero idea of what went on in between. Now they don’t have to ask their child, “what did you do today?” (Which always brought the same answer “play”), they can ‘see’ what they’ve been doing. The ease of payments is really nice to. Everyone has set up auto pay and it makes life easier for me. I don’t have to worry about invoicing because it happens automatically. Overall, this has been a really great experience for me and a fabulous marketing tool.
Nachteile
At first I had a difficult time linking parents of multiple children in my care. However the BrightWheel staff answered in a timely manner and was incredibly helpful, even checking back later to see if my issues were resolved and if i had further questions.

In today's Tech world
Over all I love this program. I have looked into other programs as such but none of them top Bright Wheel.
Vorteile
There is so many things that I and my parents love about the software that it is hard to just pick one. Since it's the most like reason, I would have to say it's keeping of the records.
Nachteile
The one con I don't like is when updates are done, I never see them. like the one update where if there was a group of children in one family the children would be put altogether for clocking in and out and the parent only has to enter their code once instead of going to each kid to do a clock in and out. I still have not seen this update and we have a lot of families who have more than one kid to check in and out.

Perfect for ALL!!!
It has been truly successful for us. We have children here who begin at 8 eeks of age and parents already have a hard time leavingtheir child at such a young age, to provide them with the security of knowing they can see how th day progresses for their child, look at them in their classrooms and during their work cycle is awesome!!!!

We love the ease of using brightwheel and all the features it has to offer.
Vorteile
Brightwheel provides us with a tool for better communication between the teachers, parents and administrators. We do not have to interrupt classroom activities to find out information because the majority of the information that we, as administrators, need to know is located in brightwheel. Parents love the ease of communicating, the photo sharing capability and the invoicing feature - receive and pay for invoices online. Brightwheel offers many features that are key to childcare and the administration of it. Brightwheel has cut down on all the paperwork that is associated with childcare and it's documentation.
Nachteile
The only downside to brightwheel is that the app only works with internet connection. If the internet connection is running slow or goes out, then we do not have access to very important information about the children.

The perfect solution for child care and camps
This app makes the complete kids camp experience much simpler and easier. The reliability of the app is very high, with some occasional hiccups, but nothing major. Overall it is a great app!
Vorteile
Weather you are the service provider or a customer, brightwheel will allow you to manage everything that you need easily and seamlessly! This all-in-one suite is a perfect combination of available options and ease of use for all of them!
Nachteile
The app gets regular updates but from time to time, there are some of the options that crash or fail to work properly on some devices (Android version has issues with QR code scanning). All of this gets fixed quite quickly.

Helpful Tool
Vorteile
I used this product when my son attended a preschool who utilized the software. I really enjoyed its ease of use and the security it offered for checking in and out my child. I really appreciated getting photos on it throughout the day of activities going on.

Keeping up with the kiddos
Brightwheel is an easy to use app that allows you to keep track of your class, your own kids and communicate with parents. Even those who are technologically challenged can easily use the Brightwheel app.
Vorteile
I love knowing that my kids are exactly where they are supposed to be. Seeing the words “ **** is checked in/out” gives me reassurance that my kids are safe.
Nachteile
I have not experienced any issues with the app nor do I have anything that I was not satisfied with.

Great Communication Product
It is fabulous for keeping two way communication between parents and teachers in real time. I also like how it is all in one place so there is history if you ever need to go back.
Vorteile
I like how easily you can share photos or comments with a wide range of parents. It keeps them up to date on their kids activities, food intake etc. and is way better than the old paper and pen method.
Nachteile
There are some bugs. Sometimes it sends things to all parents even though a child wasn't necessarily in class that day. Reporting isn't always the best.

Early learning program benefits
I love that it combines billing and family communication.
Vorteile
My early learning program has really flourished utilizing Brightwheel. My families love the communication aspect and have commented on how much more connected they feel.
Nachteile
I have been asking for about 6 months to have my States Early Learning standards to be uploaded to the app and it still isn’t despite customer support promising it would be uploaded by September.

The best I have used.
The parents like it and it meets a lot of our needs. They are working on adding features and improvements and it's well worth the money. Their customer service has been outstanding.
Vorteile
It is easy to use and very intuitive. It's also a work in progress, they are adding to it on a regular basis. They have many of our basic needs covered and it meets the needs of both us and our clients.
Nachteile
Some things you can only do on the web version and some things you can only do on the App. I find myself needing to go back and forth from my tablet to my PC to accomplish some tasks. Some of the areas are not very feature rich, such as billing and invoicing, I find I need more control. I would also like them to add the ability to group families together for billing. They are adding things regularly so I'm confident these things will be corrected.

I highly recommend others to use this app while providing excellent child care.

It was very easy to comprehend, and customer support always guided me in the right path if I had any type of misunderstanding. This app has aided Kiddy Kare Co. and myself grow stronger than ever before! The communication amongst our team & the parents/guardians was easily developed through the usage of this app!

Great for facilities and parents
Overall the set up was easy, affordable and it has been very reliable.
Vorteile
Our church's daycare recently started using Braighwheeel it has all the features in one. We love the ability to communicate through messages, pictures and even a well formulate calendar. Bid bonus, parents can also pay through their app.
Nachteile
Customer service for a few issues has been slow, I want to say due to COVID, and hope response time will improve.

Brightwheel is very innovative
Just gives me peace of mind when I’m away from my kids
Vorteile
I like the fact that I can message a staff member if I have any issues. I can also see what my kids are up to. Very nice app to use if your kids are in daycare or in any after school programs.
Nachteile
The only issue I had was making a payment once, but customer service has since fixed the issue.

I love it
I have used it for 2 years to help.me keep in touch with the parents and it stores emergency contact information for quick acess

Both Sides Review
We are very happy and the parents seem to really respond positively to the program as well. It has been a very easy transition into implementing it.
Vorteile
As the office administrator for our preschool, I love the ease and intuitiveness of the product. There are definitely some options that we love and implement on a daily basis from an office side of things. It is very organized and a one stop shop for information keeping. As a parent of a student in our school using BW, I absolutely love the interaction we have with our teacher and classroom feed. Again, the design and intuitiveness of the product is stellar. The secure payment options is wonderful and so much easier than check writing!
Nachteile
There are some things about BW that we wish were part of the features. Mostly the ability to add a PDF to our feed or messages would be great. I also wish there was a way to export the calendar so that we did not always have to look it up on a device. It takes a big effort to input all the data and then to not be able to have a exported copy is frustrating. Also in regards to payments, at the beginning of our school year when I was still learning the system, I made a mistake adding an invoice and there was not a way for me to go back and get rid of it. In the new round of updates there were other things that are not fixed that we are very happy with.

Easy use of Brightwheel
I really like using this app. I can easily pay my child's weekly tuition with just clicking 1-2 buttons. I can see what my child has been doing and eating all day as soon as it is posted by the staff. I am alerted when we sign in and sign out our child for the day.
Vorteile
I get alerts right away when my child has used the bathroom; had something to eat or the start and end of his nap time.
Nachteile
The initial account set up can be a bit frustrating but your child's school administrator should be well versed in this product and be able to assist you.

Brightwheel app boosted childcare business.I have been using the app for 6 years now and I can't imagine my business without it.The families really appreciated also being able to have all my business needs in one place. It's amazing.

Vorteile
What I like most about this software is the overall functionality and features it offers. My staff love how easy it is to navigate through each child's profile as well as the activity functions. Our parents love getting the alert notification options throughout the day. To get notified in "real time" during the day is a feature they all love! It is a comfort for them knowing what is happening with their child as it is happening.
Nachteile
What I like least about this software is the initial set-up can get a little overwhelming. However, Brightwheel's support staff has been incredible with walking us through those initial questions.
