After looking around the internet and trying a few website builders, I decided on Pixpa. What brought me to that decision was: price, and also it was easier to use than some of the more well know and popular website builders. I didn’t need a solution for more than hosting my site, for narratives and projects and Pixpa seemed like it would suit my purpose well.
I’ve been using Pixpa for a few weeks now and I am very happy that I made the decision to go with Pixpa. The support team at Pixpa have been fantastic – quick, efficient and knowledgeable, not mention courteous – they have been a pleasure to deal with.
My main portfolio is on another website, however, I have been giving some thought to transferring it to Pixpa – mainly because of the support, but also the price and I like the idea of having the 2 sites with the same provider.
Would I recommend Pixpa? It depends on your needs…if you need to host and showcase your portfolio, this is a great place to be. For the people I deal with, mostly photographers, the answer is a definite “Yes”.

I hope that in the future there will be options to customize slides shoes more - viewer defined times and also viewer ability to turn thumbnails on and off.

Missing features or 3rd party implementations that would really enable an online business to use some automation in their stores. Like I've been begging them for months to add Trustpilot integration in their builder so I could send out auto invitations. Still nothing...
If your business depends on not just your website host, but you also use many many 3rd party services for an automated client management then you might want to double check if Pixpa really suits your needs. You might be in for a surprise later down the line.

I’m so glad I found pixpa. I love the ease of use and how quit it is to set up. It’s perfect for a portfolio, store, or blog. For me it’s better than Squarespace!!

Pixpa makes it so easy to build a website from start to finish with no previous experience. I tried other free trails and found them really difficult and uninspiring. With Pixpa, I feel fully supported, anytime I cant figure out what to do the Pixpa help team are available and offer me help within minutes, not just messaging back but sending me screen shots and mini videos to help me put things in place on my site, they are amazing!

I would like more templates for photographs that need simple text below the images, ie. someones name instead of a large title or description of the image. I am a headshot photographer so It wold be good to be able to pt the persons name below the image of them in my gallery.

Easy to use with great functionality. What I have enjoyed the most is being able to sell items directly from client gallaries hassle free. Easy for me, easy for my clients. I can control download options by gallery and by user. Order management is very well done too. This is a small side business for me, and before I switched to Pixpa I was on the verge of throwing the towel in.

The only con I've experienced is a technical glitch this week that deleted all images in a gallery (rather than just the images I had selected), and then wouldn't allow me to restore the deleted images. So far this has been a one-off problem. The option to restore deleted images is, ordinarily, definitely on the pro list.

Pixpa is extremely easy and intuitive to use. As a photographer, I was looking for a platform that will help me build a portfolio fast and easy. Another important thing to me was being able to update the website easily being able to integrate a shop. Pixpa made all these very simple and quick! Also, best and most helpful customer support I've seen on a platform so far.

I feel like there is a very small pool of templates to chose from, and I would appreciate having more creative options to structure my website in a different way.

I loved from start to end, one help is completely amazing. They all need a medal for helping me out. I have tried many platforms over the years and I have found Pixpa is the best so far!! I am so happy with the results of my many websites.

I have no cons yet, it's been almost 12 months since I started using Pixpa.

It's relatively easy to use and figure out from the start, and there is a good amount of modification you can do even to the built-in templates. Perhaps the best thing is that it easily adapts to screen/window size without making your site look unreadable, so you know that your pages will look good on both mobile and desktop.

Nachteile

I would like to see PDFs or a similar file format supported, and it has been a little glitchy at times, but those are very minor grievances.

I would like to see a feature that would zoom in on certain artworks and am finding the text difficult to get right, but sure I'll be helped by the Pixpa team when I call on their support. This is just because I am fussy and have probably done things back to front in the first place. No cons, I need to learn more and alter more own website, yet the tools are available to do so, so not a problem.

When looking around for a platform to develop my on-line gallery, several products were suggested through the photographic community, but Pixpa received numerous positive comments about it's adaptability, functionality, and ease of use. It was fun to use (and this from a non-techy individual) and when I hit a bump in the creative road, the customer service team at Pixpa were impressively responsive.

My needs are not that extensive, so I really didn't come across any "missing" functionality. I have by directories established, my travel blog updating, and all is well!

Perhaps my favorite feature is the ability to have client galleries where the clients can leave notes and select favorites of each photo. Great customer service!

I don't think the SEO integration is very good. The e-commerce area is a bit clunky. Not as much website design customization as I wanted.

I looked at various different website building platforms and to be honest pixpa was the best I came across. I think the templates and layouts are great and it allows me to build the website I’m really happy with. I would also like to add that I think the customer service is amazing.

Obviously with any designing platform they’re always tiny tweaks you might change in design. But I still think pixpa is far better than most

Pixpa is easy enough to setup. The shopping cart is exactly what I was looking for. Easy to upload photos for use in website. The price is right.

A little confusing to navigate the site at first. Cannot offer the shipping options that I would like. Some options like adding text in areas is very confusing on how to do it.

I’ve used so many different website hosts in the past (Squarespace, WordPress, Format) and Pixpa is by far my favorite. It’s the best value and has everything I need to grow my business. I love all the features for photographers, as it comes in handy with my design work. It’s the most user friendly and, overall, delivers a fabulous experience.

Sometimes the drag and drop feature doesn’t drag smoothly but I always get it to work.

I think for myself as a beginner I was very nervous about starting a website and pixie made it that much easier. The builder is easier to use than most others. It had alot more versititly in setting up a print store as well which very much suited me.

the only downfall I think I have with this is they don't offer a way a client can purchase images to license.

- font options are several and really catchy
- there's enough template to choose from and it's not like only 1-2 of them are interesting and the rest are just fillers

sometimes the sub pages load a bit slower but it could be attributed to the heavy size of the images i have on my website. i wish the page load speed would improve.
i also hope in the future uploaded images can be zoomed into. currently that option is not available.

- Over 100 plugins/apps to implement on website like messenger chat or language translation- very responsive and helpfull support- easy settings/integration of "tech" stuff like integrations or scripts

The website builder needs a little bit of figuring out and there is no "reset" button to start from the scratch on a template.

I have converted to Pixpa now. It is cost competitive and easier to use. This is the first time I have ever been able to count on a website builder to build a website that I was happy with. I have had to use graphic designers in the past, because I didn't like the templates on other websites.
