I started using SendGrid a while ago; the service is stable, the interface is pleasant to use, and the website is easy to navigate.

Nachteile

SendGrid often changes its pricing. A long time ago, for example, they removed or modified (I don’t remember exactly) the free plan for users, which led me to switch providers. I couldn’t say if they still follow the same practice today.

Vorteile

Very easy to create email templates, and integrate with your website. The tool handles really well bounces & spams. We've never had problems with it.

Nachteile

In the reporting, the unique open email seems to be based on events happening from devices. So if I open the same email from desktop and then from mobile, it will be 2 unique opens. I think this should be based on the actual email.

We are using Sendgrid as an SMTP provider. It was easy to configure and it is working without any bugs - seriously not even one.

Nachteile

Weird password policy. They demand from you a minimum 16 characters - even if you are using 2fa. It is not convenient at all.

UX of the panel can be improved drastically. Not very friendly to see activity or events.

Vorteile

It was very easy to integrate with my existing stack. SendGrid has really worked hard to make sure it's easy to use their software with other services out there. Most website builders by default ask you to integrate Sendgrid as your emailing service, and that was the case with my website builder. It was really easy for me to get started as all I had to do was add an API key in a provided input field. SendGrid did all the heavy lifting and I did not have to do any coding or even go through the API documentation(which by the way is very comprehensive ). You fill that that is the case in so many services that integrate with SendGrid, integration is light-work.

Nachteile

It is a little expensive, especially when sending a tonne of emails out and having a lot of contacts. Your email totals low-key add up when you have multiple drip campaigns and transactional emails set up. If you have a small budget it's really difficult to get measurable success on SendGrid as I found out when I just started while having a very low budget. The best way to get the best out of SendGrid is with a substantial budget, and that's a bummer when starting out.

The most impactful feature of SendGrid for our business is data analysis of using both numbers and graphs to paint a very clear picture of the project performance. It is a very powerful tool we use for sending and managing emails campaigns, especially for cold email for marketing.

Nachteile

The most challenging part of using Sendgrid for us was the integration and setup process but the customer support and YouTube videos were very helpful.

Sendgrid has an awesome service for email marketing and transactional emails. It works 100% of the time, the support is amazing and it even gives you a free plan that will serve most people.

Nachteile

The price for email marketing (contacts) is a bit too high for me. It could be packed with way more interesting features. Also the editor sucks and it never sends the mail like it shows on the screen. But I do not use this feature.

In azienda abbiamo deciso di adottare questo software al fine di ottimizzare gli invii di campagne pubblicitarie per i nostri clienti. Il software si presenta abbastanza facile da usare, i diversi membri del team sono riusciti a capirne il funzionamento in tempi tutto sommato contenuti. Nel complesso è un buon software anche se a livello di usabilità può sicuramente migliorare, anche il prezzo è un po’ altino.

Nachteile

Il costo è un po’ alto e il servizio clienti non è dei migliori tra i quali ho avuto a che fare. Tutto sommato però è una buona soluzione per l’invio e la gestione delle e-mail anche transazionali.

It was easy to set up, and worked perfectly until it didn't; then, customer support was non-existent.

Nachteile

Customer support does not answer emails. Compliance team does not speak with me, I could not determine what I had done wrong. They simply left me in the lurch, and held my email hostage.

We used Sendgrid for our Email Marketing. I loved the technology, the cost was okay and easy to implement.
It also optimized to reach user inbox instead of spam.
It could also be integrated to CRM of your choice which team liked.

Nachteile

The support, I mean, if you are paying $100,000 an year, we expect a dedicated person, which was not available. Even the sales team felt like more to make sales than worry about use case or team.

Vorteile

SendGrid is very easy to use and integrates with our product exceptionally well. Aside of all the automated and user-related emails that our application sends via SendGrid, I found it to be very useful for targeted email campaigns to track which users reviewed updated SOPs and training and so on. The support is great, when our account got hacked the were immediately on it.

Nachteile

SendGrid has recently reduced sending history to just 3 days, which is s bummer, because we were using history for monthly audits.

We liked the fact that we could start with a free tier and when we grew and knew we had a good business transform our account to a PRO plan

Nachteile

1. The BI capabilities could be much improved.
2. Sometimes there are weird errors, like if you have duplicates in the TO field.

We have been using Sendgrid for more than 2 years, we use it only for transactionals emails. Now we are moving to another solution because of the weak delivery provided by sendgrid.

SendGrid is a very reliable solution for sending emails via SMTP or via their API. We have experienced great deliverability of our emails as well as excellent reliability with their service. SendGrid has good pricing as well and can handle sending a large number of emails without a high cost.

The initial setup took a bit of time, it wasn't entirely clear how to authenticate with SendGrid - the documentation was a mix between explaining normal SMTP email sending and sending via the API and it wasn't always clear which they were referring to.

Sendgrid is highly configurable to the needs and database structure of our business. It helps blend data, product, and marketing all while ensuring reliable data and deliverability. Tons and tons of automation and customization features as well.

I wish it were easier to isolate and visualize the performance of a single email rather than just an email category. I find myself searching an address who I know received a certain email, clicking into their profile and history, and then clicking on that email in order to view performance and the template.

An easy way of delivering mail through a reputable, tracked cloud relay service. The ability to have multiple sub users with different quotas set for each. The pricing is really competitive.

The response on customer tickets hasn't been as fast as I'd expect, some tickets took days to get a response.

As the title says, SendGrid are rock solid. They offer huge lengths of functionality to ensure mail stability, reliability and deliverability. Issues with deliverability are easily identified and resolved with their own tools. Love it.

Report exports could be faster. That is such a minute complain though, and makes next to no difference to the working day.

SendGrid has great pricing and good email deliverability. In addition to this it also has an easy to use API to facilitate sending email from a variety of solutions or programming languages. It has a great tie in to Azure services as well.

Some website settings for SendGrid could be improved in their online interface, although generally it's pretty easy to setup and get going.

Full-featured product with more bells and whistles than any of my clients have actually needed. I have used it on at least 30 websites in 2 or 3 years, all WordPress installs with web forms that needed a solid way to get their mail to process reliably.

I have no issue with SendGrid at all, they have a great product and I would use it at any hint of need.

Pretty easy to get setup and has been working reliably for several years now to send thousands of emails a day. They fairly recently improved search for troubleshooting undeliverable emails which was a nice improvement.

As a troubleshooting user, it took some time to get the ins and outs of the interface. But once you get it, it becomes pretty easy to use.

Recently, I started a side project and I was looking for a service to send emails from my database. i found some apps but SendGrid caught me. its simplicity, the ease to use, and the clean design made me choose it over others. It is very easy to configure and has support for many programming languages. It literally took me about 10 minutes to configure everything and send my first email.

Sendgrid really excels at transactional emails. The price is dirt cheap and it allows us to upload custom HTML email templates with ease.

For marketing emails Sendgrid is more than just not great - it's pretty bad. We find campaign monitor much, much better for sending marketing emails. What really holds back sendgrid is the difficulty in segmenting users and also the clunkiness of its email editor. It's definitely built for developers rather than marketers.

- API is good, not great. Can be a little confusing and some functionality is a bit tucked away.
- Would be appreciated if privileges could be restricted a bit more. For example, you can limit an API key to only allow it to send emails, but you can't control much about what emails are allowed to be sent that way.

My company had to carry out the tracking of the final customer service and we used Sendgrid for a while and it answered very well, it has API with a rich documentation of information and I was quite satisfied

I started with a free trial of 200 sends and then tried to send an email to a big list. I signed up for the paid account, but it was a pain to go back and sort out what addresses had received the email and which had not so I could send out again to the remainder of the list.
