I pretty much started using power point some 8 years ago and i must say they have been a dependable application over the years.

It has a simple interface with many functionalities you can pick from. The fact that i can give a professional touch to my presentation makes it a preferred application. The downward compatibility feature of the app makes it readable across different versions of the application.

There are multiple theme and transition effect options and i thinks that's a great idea.

With the user's creativity in play, you can turn your slides into beautiul and appealing designs

Personally i think power point needs to do more work on the transition effects they have as it no match with the kinds of transition effects available in keynote for mac users. Likewise, some of the themes available are obsolete and less appealing.

I also think the image edit feature on powerpoint is rigid and they need to make it more flexible.

PowerPoint has a very straightforward layout, and is easy to learn and use. Certain functions are harder to learn than others, but for the most part, the features are easy to understand. There is basically everything you would need to do a presentation, and it is definitely my go-to software for when I need to make a presentation.

I have used it for very basic presentations to management that do not require any extra effort, and are designed to just get the point across. I have also used it for more important presentations where I needed to be successful in front of important people, and I have never had an issue.

PowerPoint can be used by people of all ages, and I started using it in projects at a very young age and have been ever since.

There are some minor issues that PowerPoint could fix, such as adding more default slide designs since the existing ones are old and bland. Additionally, it should be easier to add new slide designs since the design is one of the most important parts of the presentation. Additionally, some of the very small buttons could be made larger and more clear as to what they do.

Ultimately, PowerPoint is a very good product with little room to improve for the average user. I cannot think of many things that need to be changed or any part of it I truly dislike.

I think it lacks more integration with Microsoft Word, this would make it easier to make a presentation of a report. The format of the excel tables must be formatted and reformatted.

Different kinds of business charts and graphs are built through built-in tools by filling your company data. Microsoft provides several free basic training in their online courses for PowerPoint. Helped in building personal as well as project presentations inefficient and time-saving manner. Also, it's very easy to switch from one version to another as the user interface is similar and more feature-rich user-friendly in newer versions.

Their Mac version lags behind PC, things like SVG import should be a no-brainer but are still PC only. The macro environment in Mac is way behind what can be done in Windows. When replacing assets within a document, it is great to be able to write scripts to automatize it (great when you have to rebrand hundreds of presentations) but forces me to do it on a virtual machine and consume another O365 installation (of the 5 available) just for it.

This is another software I have been using since I was in school. I used it then to make Project Presentations. I use it now to sell my services in client meetings. This is THE best presentation software I have ever come accross. With a huge variety of animations, which I can customize to any extent and transitions, I really do not know whether I would have able to hold my audience’s attention for very long without this tool.

Well Powerpoint might be great but its quite expensive as well. Microsoft makes me pay for their entire office suite just to use this software which is not quite friendly in my opinion. There is also quite a learning curve for this software for those who have never used it. In my personal opinion PowerPoint is not the most comfortable app to use. The interface is not very user-friedly. Also, for beginners it is really hard to get used to it. In order to create a simple presentation, you must google up to 30 times and this make your experience in PowerPoint awful.

It has a lot of features that make slideahows more presentable and readable. I also like premade termplates that Microsoft provides, which saves time and effort to create slideshows.

The biggest cons of PowerPoint to my mind is compability issues when you are using different versions of PowerPoint. Some templates are just shown different than you would expect. Another big issue is aspect ratio, I think Microsoft should implement AI based functionality to fit different aspect ratio presentations on screen.

I don't know why I resist PowerPoint so much, but as a Mac user I typically find it easier and a little more intuitive to use Mac based software. However, the reality is that PowerPoint has bee the standard for a long time and at the end of the day...it just works. While I don't always think it is the most intuitive program, it makes putting together presentations, quickly, a breeze. And across the board, it is fairly universal meaning that you can send it and share it with almost anyone, on almost any kind of device, and they will be able to view it. Add Microsoft Cloud software into the mix, and you have a more powerful piece of software that makes collaboration really work.

Truthfully, the things I dislike about PowerPoint have more to do with the Mac interface than with the software itself. It works like it's supposed to, and as you play with its features you realize it is more robust the old image of a digital slide show with cool transitions.

I've been using Microsoft Power Point since Elementary School. Now 27, I find myself still using the software in my day to day like. Quite often, I have to share data to Execs for decision making, or I have to put together a Training Deck. PowerPoint is always my go to choice. Even If I want to make a poster, power point works well for that too! There's an option to switch the slide layout to Portrait mode. It's a very versatile tool.

The software isn't free. Through out my life, I've had access to it because of school or work. But if that wasn't the case, I may consider other alternatives that are absolutely free. That being said, if you require the Microsoft Office Suite for your day to day use, PowerPoint adds a lot of value to an already great package of software.

PowerPoint is easy to use. It clearly lets you set up each page with boxes, photos, borders, text etc. It has many options as far as transitions and setting up the slideshow. In other words, it has what you need to do a presentation.

Other online based software programs are much more cutting edge as far as their capabilities and look. PowerPoint, in my opinion, has not kept up with the times as far as this goes. Partial transitions need to have more options. Probably my least favorite is the insertion capabilities for videos. The program is very picky about what it will accept and not accept. If it's not an online based video I have to re-insert it when I get to my presentation venue.

Fonts, too, pose a problem. You can save the slideshow as a pdf, which will keep fonts in tact, but then you lose all other capabilities including running videos. Again, if I get to a site that has a computer that doesn't include the fonts used, it's like starting over (usually in a panic).

Microsoft really needs to take a look at what Prezi offers and step up a bit. It's time to make PowerPoint look like it belongs in this generation.

Ugh! I really don't love anything about this product. But it does create presentations for people on PCs so I am forced to use it over keynote at times. It gets the job done but thats about it.

My biggest complaint about Powerpoint is the default settings for shapes and color. When I want to create a shape I don't want it to have an outline, a drop shadow, and a gradient EVERY TIME I create a new shape. People who don't know design think that stuff looks great and it doesn't! It makes office workers create UGLY presentations. And it's irritating to remove the styling! Also the tabs that contain the styling options are not intuitive. If I have text selected why can't you program it to automatically open my styling options for text. Same thing for shapes, If I have a shape, I want my options for editing the shape to automatically come up. Basically the program is not as intuitive as it should be, and very little has changed from when I first started using it when I was in high school.

From the tables, charts transferring from other microsoft platforms its an ease. Add in some transitions and timing to make your presentation run from start to finish while you speak.

I think the biggest fear for most users is where to get started. There are so many features it actually can be intimidating to novice user that they can feel overwelmed. Once they adjust they will find this is not a real fear. Nothing I don't like about it personally. Been a big user for years!
