Limited words per page. You can only put so much onto one slide. If you make it small, it will harder to read, so the font needs to be expended or the screen needs to be zoomed in on or the text needs to be wrapped. This is not a big issue.

One of the details that discourages me when making slides with Power Point, is the simplicity of the templates, because looking at the present in which we are, this software should have more technology in terms of templates it is, on the other hand when sending the slides you run the risk of becoming deconfigured and all the work done is no longer what you expected, because templates can be distorted because of viruses.

The fact that I've been using this software to do presentations since I was in school is what I like the most. There is a slight learning curve to all of PowerPoints features, but the GUI is designed so well that basic presentations can be created by a new user in a short period of time. Also, because it's built by Microsoft, it seemlesly blends in with Windows and can I always rely on it to work when I need it to. The last thing I want is for a program to crash or malfunction when I'm trying to give a sales pitch to potential clients!

Nachteile

I don't know if this is a con or not, but it seems there almost too many features. In my humble opinion, presentations should not be too dramatic and flashy as that takes away from the actual message that I'm trying to convey. If there are a lot of animations, sounds, weird transitions from one slide to another, the audience loses focus. But, being able to imbed my videos and screenshots so easily do help a lot.

As a teacher, I use it a lot... Very easy for window users, and it has a lot of unique features. Shift when inserting a line to make it perfectly horizontal or vertical. Distribute horizontally and vertically. I use distribute horizontally to make number line tick marks evenly spaced. You can align images using the align horizontal and align vertical functions. You can also distribute multiple identically sized images within a specific part of the slide.

It is very limited in the animated slides it can do. Older versions of PowerPoint also does not have as much range of presentations as Prezi, which we teachers use a lot.

My favorite feature has to be the design ideas generator. It allows you to just put in your content and get amazing slides automatically generated from context. Shortcuts are also a big part of productivity and efficiency. You can use PowerPoint without ever using your mouse once you get the hang of it.

Honestly the only problem I have with it that it can't be bought as a standalone tool like Prezi. You must own the whole Office suite to have access to PowerPoint. Functionality-wise, PowerPoint does everything absolutely perfectly.

The best thing I liked about this software is the perfect integration between different devices. I can start an empty card in my smartphone and continue working on my laptop.
It is also very useful to take a schematic view of my ideas to be reproduced in simplified graphic form for my students. Brilliant animations and various graphic styles; we can highlight words and phrases as if you were working in an electronic whiteboard. Ease of access, especially spell checking, is extraordinary.
Overall, it's almost certainly the best tool for creating slides I've ever used. Very easy to use: I highly recommend it.

The tablet version has far fewer features than the PC version. I'd like it if there was a wider choice of preset wallpapers. Overall, however, I find it difficult to find major defects.

The "insert slide" automatically clones the previous slide type. For example, you are creating a second slide, the first slide is normally a "title" slide. But you do not want that for your next (or any other) slide. You but now find the layout section to make this change. I had to hunt for it myself. The layout should appear and display a selection when a new slide is created so you can immediately choose the right slide. But you have to go back and fix Microsoft's mistake on this. It is a clumsy design on this feature.

In the beginning some people can be a little overwhelming seeing the many features of options of the software has, but with a little practice they can improve their knowledge and get the most of it. The flexibility of what you can design on a slide and how you can do it. Powerpoint gives a great amount of flexibility and a 'blank slate' approach that I've begun using for things that I normally would have done in word due to its flexibility. Combined with pre-set templates and auto-design and formatting ideas, it gives a good balance to easily be able to customize slides without too much pressure to do everything from scratch.

When I switched computers and seemingly loaded the same version of windows on my new computer, I lost the ability to insert icons. I'm quite a bit disappointed since I thought the icons were a great addition and a time saver when they came out, and used that feature a lot.

There is a reason that powepoint has been around for so long, and it's still a great product. It is much more powerful than something like Google slides, so I will always turn to this first. Having used the MS office suite since the 90s I've enjoyed seeing how much more they added in terms of handling design elements, styling, and even animations.

Some of the interface is still clunky and building graphics within PPT itself is not an easy task. I had to edit a sales deck for a client that was built in powerpoint, and since PPT doesn't allow you to place and edit vectors, I had to create the graphics in another program and then bring them into PPT - this also meant that I had to go back and forth when changes needed to be made instead of being able to do everything in powerpoint itself.

The controls for editing simple shapes could use some work as well because editing without distorting them isn't eaasily achieved.

It's not a tool where you can make a presentation on simple slides, but it provides you so many cool options, as I can insert a video clip, screenshot, picture, or audio in any slide. There are a lot of designs available to make your presentation more attractive. I can create a presentation based on a set of pictures. The most important thing is, it is user-friendly software. It has everything, that can not be expressed in simple words.

I was trying to insert a video clip in a slide, but I could not do so. There is some format of your video clips that are not compatible with PowerPoint. There are no more things to be less liked.

As part of most office packages, it is commonly available in the workplace. It was easy to teach myself. I continue to find different ways to use a PowerPoint at work, beyond what I initially used it for which was presentations in meetings. For example, for self-directed training lessons, for a weekly auto-run Employee communication tool, to make posters for employee events, etc.

Expensive. Transitions have been the same for a long time so it starts to feel old/dated. Cannot protect a presentation securely enough. Broadening of the shapes available (pre-made 'frequently used' combinations of shapes) would be helpful. Better "help" or tutorials for advanced use.

I love, I mean love the remove background option and vector graphic editing. I'm not a graphic designer and sometimes I need to remove elements of an image or vector grapic. The "Remove Background" and "Ungroup" features make it easy to take assets and make them more appropriate/useful to a presentation. Also, the custom page sizing means that I have been able to use PowerPoint in a pinch, not just for presentations, but papers, marking up a pdf and some marketing material production.

I think that the challenge MS has with GSuite is how easy Google makes it to collaborate with others. I just don't think that Office, PowerPoint and any other of the apps is able to compete with Google on collaboration, notifications, real time editing/suggesting, etc. I keep PowerPoint, but if it is a simple slide I'm building with others, google is the winner.

After university years when I started working I explored different features of PowerPoint. Now I use PowerPoint in every business meetings including new product announcements, staff trainings or promotional campaingns. What I most like about PowerPoint it is fexibility and compatibility. I can play created presentation almost in any device. Another advantage is that PowerPoint doesn't require stable internet connection and high computer resources. It works seamless with minimum system requirements and in most operation systems PowerPoint is preinstalled standart application. That makes PowePoint easily reachable.

While adding video files to slideshow video editing features are very limited. It would be great if new features added regularly. Because video slideshows are most wanted in modern presentations and it must be up to date with current requirements.

En tant qu'utilisateur de niveau administrateur pour moi-même, il est très facile de se «perdre» dans Wrike, car j'ai accès à tous les projets, tâches et fonctionnalités PM. Notez bien que ce n'est pas une faute du logiciel mais plutôt la façon dont nous avons configuré notre environnement et l'accès des utilisateurs.

What I can place in the Pros section is that PowerPoint can use some improvement on the beginner-friendly front. As a freelance myself, I had no issues making it work just the way I like it. But if you're a complete beginner, you may find it a bit intimidating tool when trying to create your first presentation.
Also, if a user wants to create original art, for example, PowerPoint is probably not the number 1 tool I would recommend to do that.
