The usability and collaboration features are fantastic including the additional features of status date Jira links etc

Nachteile

Not a lot that I don't like- maybe some of the features could be highlighted and explained a bit better - I don't think they get enough usage

It is easily accessible and you have loads of feature to customize your knowledge(renging from Tables , custom built Boards and even Linking tickets makes it a very straight forward solution for knowledge capture) pages or project management files , tools are easy to integrate and work with (highly recommend a cooperation with Jira , as they work very well togather.)

Nachteile

Administration part can be a pain from time to time , unless you know exactly what roles are correct , it can become a bit confusing .

The amount of knowledge and document storage is endless. Confluence allows us to document processes which helps us place all of this information in one location.

Searching for pages/articles can be a little difficult. This may be a company issue for us but we store a lot of information in Confluence and when trying to locate a specific article tends to become cumbersome. Most times I need to go through recently reviewed or worked on to find the article.

It seems like you can do a lot in Confluence but I don’t know that we need everything it offers. It works great for storing processes and files for our teams to reference.

The platform itself just feels outdated and clunky. It feels like it could have a better user experience and not feel so “old”.

I liked that I was able to use the advanced search tool to quickly find any important documents. I liked that my team and I could simultaneously be working on something and we would get updates on each other's work in real time.

Sometimes the system is almost too good. I do not need to know exactly what everyone on my team is doing every single second. Confluence wants you to know what everyone is doing and when which could sometimes be slightly annoying.

Undoubtedly the best web application for storing and managing know-how. At the same time, it's a great place to gather new ideas. Also planning and managing new and current projects. I like that we can set different user rights for individual pages on confluence. We can arrange the pages in a tree structure. The feature where I can track and compare page history is absolutely simple and amazing. Connect Confluence with GitLab, Jira, Figma, etc. it is simple and works reliably. Also like Dark theme.

Sometimes it is a bit slow and buggy. Due to the complexity of confluence at the beginning of use, it took me a while to get the hang of it.

#1 I love Confluence, as it's so user friendly and so simple to use. I've taken it and built out the structure at my new company, as well as previous ones to make our shared Confluence space a HUB for our Documentation, Meetings Customers/Projects/Team, Resources, Planning, you name it. It's so easy and it's a great way to keep everyone informed and involved. AND you can customize how it looks.

Not much I dislike. Maybe if I could have a few more customization options, but that is about it.

As a Product Owner, I use Confluence mainly for Documentation and as a Knowledge Base.My use of Confluence is very much linked to my use of Jira.The developers will write the documentation of a User Story in Confluence and then link the page to the Jira ticket. It's very useful to quickly find information (sometimes on topics that are several years old).I have also used Confluence extensively for Project management. When I work on a new feature that involves several stakeholders, I use Confluence to store all the meeting notes, brainstorm ideas, business cases etc in the same place. I find it clearer and more suited to collaboration than in a Sharepoint for example.

Nachteile

The 'export' feature could be improved. At the moment the formatting gets all over the place when I export a Confluence page into Word or PDF.

Used informally and a great online alternative to a file based system on sharepoint of somthing like that.

Takes a little getting used to after using Microsoft tools for so long, but simple enough to get the hang of eventually.
Probably don't use the full capabilities of the tool as it requires some effort to investigate and learn the less obvious functionality.

Confluence has a number of key benefits chiefly the way that it seamlessly integrates with Jira and other Atlassian products. It's a must have add on if you use Jira. Especially as your organization grows. Version control and roles are great as well.

If you don't use jira it's kinda of clunky. More modern systems like Notion have a better UI.

Atlassian has created a really well-designed solution that allows teams to share information in a single workspace. The user interface is simple to use not only for users but also for administrators; the program is simple to use and versatile for users. Templates allow you to write papers more faster, exchange comments, track progress, establish deadlines, and manage files smoothly. Confluence is highly beneficial for maintaining notes and modules for a very specific environment, and it is the most secure way to get the rights required to acquire that correct document, as well as the easiest way to manage the work accordingly and quickly share.

Nachteile

Confluence, in my opinion, needs a better way to search, and it has recently become a little slower for regular usage. When we try to move to other Confluence-like systems, it takes a long time to export our files, regardless of whether we use HTML/PDF or XML, thus if this improves, consumers will benefit greatly. Confluence may be sluggish and complicated when switching between pages and contexts; it would be preferable to have some type of option to make it easier to use and comprehend.

The formatting limitations on some of the pages. While they offer a lot of layout options ultimately creating expanding boxes is not easy or user friendly. There may be a way to do it a lot of the time but it's not always obvious, as it should be.
