Great System for End Users (Employees)
Positive experience overall. We were previously using an HRIS that didn't display all of the information we needed and our employees were never able to view it, so using Dayforce has made our employee's experience with their information positive but also provided them with the autonomy they didn't previously have in our old system.
Vorteile
It's very user friendly for the end user. I like how everything is housed in one HRIS and I am able to view all of the employee's information in one easy place. The data is visually easy to read and it's conveniently in one place.
Nachteile
The reporting function. Creating reports from scratch isn't that simple for users who aren't familiar with how to create reports. I feel like this could be enhanced and simplified so that creating reports is easier. I also think the number of clicks it takes to do certain functions could be reduced by using shorthand or typing and having the system auto-populate information.

Great program for employee self serve
Vorteile
Great program for a large company, focused on easy accessible programs and employee self serve functions! My group feels empowered and capable, and know that I am there to support them in case the need it!

I personally would like to see more online training videos for myself as the HR person and some available for employees as well.

Super powerful HRIS, but difficult to implement and maintain
Vorteile
Dayforce does everything we need it to do: payroll, tax calculations, workforce management, time and attendance, document management. It's an incredibly powerful platform for managing and serving our employee population, and integrates well with other software platforms and applications including ERPs.
Nachteile
The implementation process required a level of resource commitment (both financial and personnel) that we weren't prepared for, so the timeline from kick-off to go-live had to be extended several times. The implementation ended up costing double what was budgeted, and took six more months than expected.

Ceridian formulates our entire workforce
Dayforce WFM extends across the entire institution. It is our primary workforce management (WPM) tool, encompassing attendance in all its aspects: hourly employees identify their income through biological clocks; contract employees use the web clock function to account for their working time; all employees use the Time Away From Work (TAFW) function to submit leave requests. It is also used by human resources and payroll departments to manage time worked and paid time off.
Vorteile
I attended the new Dayforce FIT meeting as part of this year's Insights conference. You have significantly increased your ability to make changes to your product layout without the need to open many support tickets, this translates into significant savings. The attendance subsystem has decreased the amount of supplementary manual documents, such as spreadsheets, and has additionally gifted supervisors with an aid to observe the sum of points in real time, rather than waiting for a report to be finished and distributed in the week or month. We have 6 different handles, each with a different pay period end time and a different number of payments. Dayforce is able to accommodate different varieties without any drawbacks.
Nachteile
The TAFW shard does not yet offer the ability to restrict the login of those who are not exempt to be able to perform tasks for their own interest. I would love to see Dayforce incorporate an FMLA add-on. Most of the information regarding specific tracking is already within the system. We conclude that it is better to continue with the written procedure or find a stand-alone program to assist with the complicated administration.

Simplicity is not there quite yet

Access to a lot of different modules related to people.
Nachteile
Purchasing modules that work only to a certain extent. For all the modules we’ve purchased our organization has had to do multiple work around which is unfortunate because we purchased the modules to take the manual processes out. Seems like we’re doing more manual work with the work around. Modules are very easy to use, formatting is inconsistently copied and pasted and some modules are unreliable and unpredictable.

Great experience. I love using this application for everything payroll.

The friendly interface makes it easy to navigate through . Super smooth and spot on when it comes to do with everything payroll, from your earning to your statements everything is crystal clear so help prevent confusion when looking at your paystubs.

I’ve noticed unless your on a desktop it is a bit hard to see with the zoom settings on phone and iPad,

Fantastic payroll application!
The experience was great. The implementation team worked with me every step of the way and was there for the first 3 go-live payrolls. I cannot say enough about tech support - even during the exceedingly busy months of January and February you didn't wait long on hold to speak with someone. I wish all the other tech support companies I deal with for different applications were as good as they are!
Vorteile
I liked the ease of use - clocking in / out is not cumbersome with umpteen different steps. Data entry for my weekly payroll is quick - one screen does it all; no need to change screens. Especially love the fact that I can make employees inactive and not necessarily have to terminate them - our employees are divided between union and non-union > union employees come and go during the course of the year - it's easy to place them as 'inactive'.
Nachteile
The cost is more than what we had with our other Ceridian payroll product. We do get value for the money and as we build more components into the program, such as performance management, for example, it will be worth every penny.

Not userfriendly but to discover
Overall, it was painful at moments (because of all the issues) but I'm happy I only had one centralized system to work with.
Vorteile
I worked with Dayforce from Ceridian for over 2 years. It was difficult to implement it but what is good with this system is how EVERYTHING is centralized, employee information, payroll, timesheet, time off request, onboarding, etc. This is GREAT, it saves time. They do have FEW but VERY competent technical support specialist that we can rely on but unfortunately, not all of them are able to support you properly.
Nachteile
The problems with Dayforce are that EVERYTIME you want to do a modification (vacation calculation per example) it cost you money. Every time they do a modification based on what you asked, it will impact something else (since everything is centralized) and most of the time, their customer support team are not specialized enough to know what changes impacts what. It is VERY painful working with their team sometimes as a problem solved creates another issue where most of the time you still need to pay extra money to solve it.

One Software To Control All
Vorteile
Going from a manual HR/Payroll system, Dayforce has allowed our team to consolidate all the different roles and tasks into a single software. From HR managing hiring process and onboarding, to Finance managing payroll to even on-floor managers managing the day-to-day attendance and vacation requests, Dayforce has allowed our team to spread the tasks around fluently to different departments. Great software that is easy to use and allows everybody from executive to production workers to have real-time access to their files.
Nachteile
It's easy to set up from a base level perspective, however it was quite difficult to set up and implement smoothly with HR. However, Dayforce had an excellent support team that worked diligently to help us through any concerns.

scalable HR platform
It really is a one stop shop for everything HR. Our headquarters and HR department are remote, so my team and I appreciate the resources within Dayforce HCM. The timeclock and PTO functionality for my team of 12 is easily managed, as are the storage and access to tax and benefit forms. As the manager, I see what they see and then some. We have it set to accrue PTO daily which our employees appreciate. Requesting time off and seeing balances is very easy. Having quick access to pay statements is also handy. I prefer this software over some of the larger players in this space!

-scalable: our company just recently added new hire paperless onboarding via Dayforce. Recruiting will be added soon.

Worst Ever - AVOID
Horrific. They are just awful to work with. Wasted six months of my payroll team's time, getting nowhere.
Vorteile
Nothing. We did and RFP and reviewed several different options for managing HR and payroll. Unfortunately, we went with Ceridian Dayforce due to price. It was the worst mistake ever. This is horrible software, matched only by the ridiculously incompetent deployment team. I would never work with them again.
Nachteile
The deployment was horrific. Multiple people, who obviously didn't talk to each other, with ever worse data templates that they requested we complete. The templates are indecipherable. I haven't seen a payroll system yet that people love, but I would avoid using this at all costs. The software is not good, and the implementation was even worse. Worst mistake ever choosing them.

I like it
I am an As-Needed monitor, so, this website helps me keep track of working locations, hours, meetings, pay, and makes sure all of my trainings are up to date. It's a great tool to keep everything organized in such a big company that deals with so many contracts.
Vorteile
I like that it keeps track of all of my paystubs, now I don't have to worry about keeping a cluttered box of them in my house. It also keeps track of messages, forms, creates a working calendar; it just organizes everything for me and I think it's great.
Nachteile
I haven't found anything that I dislike about this software yet, it has been pretty straightforward to use and I haven't thought of any useful additions.

The software is clunky and inefficient
Vorteile
It is more affordable than other similar softwares. It also allows us to have an integrated HR system.

They were unable to tailor it to our company's needs. It requires us to have to manually input too much information into the ATS before being able to setup individual candidate profiles.

Excellent technical acumen!
Vorteile
Pros include the customer support and success manager. Pros also include the technical acumen that the system offers.
Nachteile
Dislike the dashboards & My Project. It appears that Ceridian needs to invest a bit more time and money into these features.
