Drag and drop is easy to use although not the most attractive email builder I've seen.

"Custom" templates are block creations which are very unappealing, but provided templates are very assertive in their look, meaning it might not translate well across brands. The email copy is subject to limitations from the template, and not the other way around.

There is no landing page builder, which is a shame.

Creating automated campaigns (known as flows) is a bit clunky, especially when editing a campaign there's chances to delete things and mess the entire campaign up and you really need to plan ahead what you are doing because of this. You can duplicate the campaign though before making such edits.

I found Klaviyo to be very helpful tool for my email and social media campaigns. What I like most about it is how easy it is to create a personalized messages based on t he behavior and interests of the prospects. The automation feature is also great because I can setup targeted campaigns to run automatically which saves me a lot of time and effort.

It only offer limited customization options for email templates for compared to other marketing tools. If you don't mind the price, Klaviyo is good for your marketing efforts.

I work at an agency which means that we use whatever email software system our client has. Klaviyo is my favorite system by far for one simple reason: the email automation chain aka flows. You can set up any kind of automation path with ease and I can take screenshots and send them to my clients and they can see things like "oh, we'll wait 2 days before sending the third follow up email." LOVE IT.

The only thing I struggle with is when I'm trying to build out an email template within the platform. The coding that needs to be done can take my dev team some time but it's nothing major.

Compatibility was the more vital feature with this program. We needed something that would remarket to potential customers that were directed to our site via paid ads as well as deploy campaign specific emails. This program is seamless with those integrations.

Klaviyo is highly intuitive without sacrificing the powerful nature of its features. It offers everything we want and not much that we don't or won't in the future. I can't say enough about the on boarding team and process and the account rep we have access to. It's just been a great experience all around.

The software is definitely pricey at its highest tier, but if you can make it work in the budget, go for it. Especially if you're a Shopify user.

I'd say so far I like the rules setup the best, segmenting my flows and campaigns to make sure I'm only hitting up people who 1) are interested in what I have to say right now, 2) Are the right audience for my current message/in-store sale announcement, etc and/or 3) Have not heard a similar message anytime recently. My other favorite is the easy integrations with other apps I'm using to manage my eCommerce and Digital marketing systems.

No overall CTR metric available (only per-campaign), nor a metric for open-rate stats across all campaigns/flows. Needing more training to intuit the analytics panel and some features but they do not have phone training available, I've been using it for about two months now, and I have a few blind spots that I cannot intuit from the interface, which is now a problem for me. They answered what they could via email.

I love the customer data that is available with Klaviyo. I used two other ESP before finally landing on Klaviyo. The training, templates, ease of use combined with the ease of segmenting customers based on their actions and demographics makes Klaviyo invaluable for a small business owner (any business owner for that matter).

Only con I have noticed thus far is when using email templates, the formatting and layout is difficult to modify (or maybe it is just me).

With Klaviyo it's very easy to use this software. I have tried other platforms in the past and was a little discouraged because I could not figure them out and it was too many steps, but when I found Klaviyo, it all changed. Everything just came together and I think a lot of it had to do with things being automatically set up, you just have to make your edits. For example, the flows, all you have to do is edit the information with yours and a few tweaks as to how you want it delivered and that's it.

There is nothing not to like about Klaviyo and if there is, I have yet to find it. I am a novice at email marketing and this clicked for me as soon as I logged into the platform.

There is a delay when emails are sent out. This is a dealbreaker for things like password resets when you need an email instantly, not after a 3-5 minute delay.

There is no option to reset 2FA without writing an email to support.

I swapped over to Klaviyo from Mail Chimp after hearing good things about them. What a mistake. I spent hours creating an important email campaign, uploaded my email list, pressed send, and then boom, my account is disabled because of a 'random compliance check'. No warning of this, and no idea if my campaign was even sent. The dashboard says 'Nice Job, you sent your first campaign' but there is no data available 24 hours later, and still no response from Klaviyo. They said it would be reviewed within 24 hours, but still crickets. I can't send it via Mail Chimp because I have no idea if it was actually sent (although I suspect not). They had no problem taking my money though and invoicing me during that time.

The templating system could be improved. Sometimes it feels slightly clunky, especially if I want to create a templated flow (like Browse Abandonment for example) with our company's branding.
