Small Business Owner
I'm testing three different email marketing providers, Klaviyo, Seguno, and Mailchimp. I don't have enough prospects to leaving their free trial, but I'm getting there. And though I like Mailchimp email templates and Segunos straight-forward interface, I might choose Klaviyo in the end because they have the better intelligence and statistics that will be vital for my business growth.
Vorteile
Klaviyo has seamless integration with Shopify, the e-commerce platform I use to operate my business. Their dashboard is most compelling, with detailed information about customers and prospects, making strategic decisions easier to take. I also love that I can compare my performance with the industry standard. I could not find any other email marketing provider offering that level of intelligence.
Nachteile
Klaviyo email templates are a bit simpler than Mailchimp or Seguno, so if you want to grab your prospect's attention, it may be a little more difficult. I did notice my open rates are smaller with Klaviyo than with Mailchimp.

Simple Shopify Integration for e-Commerce brands
Started our small list with 2k subscribers and used their email marketing option only. Tested their SMS option but looked for a better option. It's not the less expensive but it gets the job done. Very user-friendly.
Vorteile
Klavyio integrates with many products and it's easy to set up. Its integration with Shopify is the main reason why we chose it and it allows us to create segments based on the customer's behavior. Their customer support is great and willing to find the answers you're looking for, creating test scenarios or flows if needed.
Nachteile
Their pricing/plans were a bit confusing and changed recently making it less cost-effective. Tested it for SMS marketing but found a cheaper and more user-friendly option instead.

The Gold Standard for Shopify
The transition was fantastically simple, the IP warming was easy and everything about Klaviyo has made us happy so far.
Vorteile
I greatly enjoy using Klaviyo. We've utilized MailChimp, Zaius and more in our quest for a long term ESP that we are happy with and Klaviyo has been it. It's not the cheapest out there but it certainly isn't the most expensive and it feels like you really get a good value for the advanced features. The Shopify integration is easy and seamless and the Live Chat customer service has been responsive and helpful everytime. Very pleased with them.
Nachteile
Honestly, perhaps the only thing I don't like is that layout isn't as sleek as some of the other options but it's a very minor point.

Klavyio could be better
It is true that Klaviyo has been the leading email marketing software for some time now. However, there are some signs that this may not be the case for much longer.
Vorteile
Klavyio's integration with almost any product in the market is one of its best features. This allows users to integrate Klavyio into their existing workflows and systems seamlessly. Klavyio's wide range of integrations makes it a versatile tool that can be used in many different ways.
Nachteile
Klavyio's interface is in dire need of an upgrade. It is outdated and does not meet the needs of modern users. The interface is clunky and difficult to use, and it does not provide users' needed features. Klavyio needs to modernize its interface and provide a more user-friendly experience.

Easy To Create Clean Looking Emails
Overall I really like this platform. It has a couple of glitches that will hopefully be ironed out. Otherwise it is easy to use, implement and send clean emails with Klayvio.
Vorteile
This software has all the basics to create a nice looking email. It also has lots of added widgets that make it easy to integrate with Shopify and send out product emails. Everything is drag and drop and you can save custom templates, which makes it easy for anybody to use. The flow features and custom audience setups are also great. It also has excellent analytics.
Nachteile
I constantly have issues with my block styles. It's especially frustrating when the block style would register in desktop but not mobile. Obviously double checking emails before hitting send it critical but it adds extra work having to fix the different blocks and leaves more opportunities for human error. Also, when you change styling manually in the code you have to save and refresh to be able to change setting using the regular interface.

Klaviyo is honestly amazing. We have 260,000 contacts and spend $2100 a month. I love how much revenue it generates for us!

Overall pretty good but new features and fixing usability issues are non-existent
Good overall in terms of ease of use and the campaign builders but frustrating that stupid little issues aren't fixed for years and there's nothing new really. I think if you are just starting out with email automation or segmenting your contacts then Klaviyo is a great option.
Vorteile
It's easy to set up and pretty easy to use. The segmentation is overall pretty good, covering most possible scenarios/properties to group contacts. Flows are quite easy to set up and the campaign drag and drop builder isn't bad.
Nachteile
We have been using Klaviyo for at least 5 years and I can't think of all that much that has changed in that time. There are usability issues that I, and I'm sure others, brought up 3 or 4 years ago that are still there. They don't have any way to provide feedback or feature requests anymore (that I can see). It just feels a bit like they've got comfortable and aren't working on new features that their users really want/need. Everything just looks a little bit outdated now and I get really frustrated with the limitations of the software.

Excellent choice
Excellent. Their team is also super supportive and quick to respond with guidance. Would recommend Klaviyo.
Vorteile
Before choosing Klaviyo for our e-commerce business, we had done an extensive search of email marketing providers. Klaviyo seemed to have a differentiated set of features that allows more extensive analytics and data on email performance vs other providers. We've found this performance data to be extremely useful in determining what emails are/aren't working and in performing A/B testing. I would highly recommend Klaviyo for e-commerce companies
Nachteile
Klaviyo still doesn't have all the features that we'd love to see but they are continuously evolving and launching new tools. For example, their pop-up creation tool is very basic so one typically needs a 3rd party tool to manage pop-ups/forms.

Intuitive UI and attractive templates but missing key integrations
Overall, Klaviyo has beautiful templates and is easy automate with customizable flows. Data analytics were also helpful and provided useful insight.
Vorteile
I did like the templates and user interface. Compared to ActiveCampaign, it was easier to navigate and learn. Automations were intuitive to set up and the actual drag and drop email editor was simple and elegant.
Nachteile
Integrations and deliverability were where Klaviyo fell short. For example, we needed to integrate google sheets, which is where we store many of our customer emails (fed in through Facebook forms). We had to download a separate integration tool and were still unable to integrate the emails without the automatic double confirmation email (even though we turned it off).

This is great software
We moved from Klaviyo to Mailchimp because of Klaviyo's user interface and ability to create segments to target pretty much any specific audience from our lists that we desire. I also enjoy the customer information Klaviyo collects and makes available in terms of how frequently they order, their churn risk and overall value to the company. It's great!

It integrates with a lot of CMS services/softwares, it's easy to use, it's versatile, and Klaviyo is a great company
Nachteile
I guess it could be a little cheaper, but I believe you get what you pay for.

Great E-mail Marketing and CRM Software
Klaviyo allows us to better target customers that were big spenders or seasonal purchasers. This helped us create campaigns that catered to them and convert sales.
Vorteile
Klaviyo combines your store data (like customer information) and lets you build e-mail campaigns that are smart. They have automation tools to make sending easy. The amount of options that you can match on with an individual lets you create very unique campaigns to specific types of customers.
Nachteile
There is a learning curve. The number of options you have when creating flows and using logic statements can be daunting. However, their customer service is superb and have helped me every time I had a question.

Never going back to anything else but Klaviyo
Vorteile
The integration with Shopify Stores and the ease of building flows makes this a game changer. Additionally the bulk discount code builder gives Shopify functionality outside of Shopify that makes "one less app" for my store. Finally the native Form Builder in Klaviyo is very easy to use.
Nachteile
I wish one Klaviyo Account could connect to multiple Shopify Stores, this causes some problems for our operations. Additionally I wish building segments was faster, some advanced segments take very long to build.

The best email solution for ecommerce
Klaviyo is hands down the BEST solution for any serious ecommerce shop. If you are using shopify, there is no question, that Klavio is the way to go.
Want to only send an email to people who bought widget a, but not widget B and haven't made a purchase in 3 months? No problem, with Klaviyo, you can easily do that.
What about people who have made a purchase in the last 7 days, and have also spent more than $500 on your site... and not purchased widget c? Not a problem.
How about targeting those exact audiences on facebook? Again, it's as easy as clicking a button. Klaviyo can sync all your segments with facebook.
The only not-so-great thing about Klaviyo, is that it has a slightly steeper learning curve than your usual just-getting-started email service. But the support is great and they have some awesome templates to help you get started.
I could go on and on about how amazing Klaviyo is, but instead I'll just say this: If you have an ecommerce store, you owe it to yourself to test out klaviyo. I am glad I did (and so are my wallet ;)

Can't rave about this company and product enough!!!
Increased my income/revenue drastically!

The integration is almost flawless. And where they may lack in an area they are very quick to help out and increase in areas you bring up. They are VERY focused on what the customer needs and wants. The Customer service is top notch and the help files are surprisingly helpful. They have clearly put a lot of effort into this aspect of the company. Great Job Guys!
Nachteile
Would love to see some of the same integrations that you see with other platforms brought across to the rest. Ex: Generating custom coupon codes like shopify.

Awesome experience so far
We use Klaviyo basically for Email/ SMS automations, and it has been doing the job perfectly well so far
Vorteile
It is one of the best Email/ SMS marketing I have used in my career; it is very easy to set up, the user interface is friendly, and everything works well. We started using this program on the free plan so as to know if it was worth it or not, but fortunately everything went well and we upgraded to the paid plan after a couple of months. The knowledgebase articles were very helpful in resolving issues that came up while using it for the first time.
Nachteile
The only complain I have was concerning the customer service that was not responding when we had an issue to be resolved but thanks to the articles in the Help center section, we were able to resolve it on our own.

Overall experience has been good and has helped us grow the business.
Vorteile
Reporting, trigger actions, and drip campaign options are the main features that entice us to keep using this product. A lot of the features are specific for e-commerce business and have helped us increase sales.
Nachteile
The biggest area of opportunity is the design options. The templates look very outdated. If your team has a great graphic designer on pay, they can create graphics to insert, but the out the box templates are not cute.

The Best option since Mailchimp and Shopify broke up
Klaviyo is a perfect solution for Shopify users it basically has everything you need to pamper your customers by the time you increase your sales and loyalty. The best part, they offer a free subscription then you can upgrade according to your needs.

The most important thing for me is the Shopify integration. Emailing is one of the best tools to increase customer loyalty and re-purchasing at e-commerce and Klaviyo was designed to really help in this matter. All their flows are perfectly set and are very easy to customize.
Nachteile
It took me time to understand how Klaviyo works as I was really customed to MailChimp interface and if you are too, probably you need to test a lot before sending your first campaign or run your first flow.

Overall, Klaviyo does the job. We are able to manage our campaigns and manage our marketing entirely. Certainly a positive experience using it.

Nachteile
I wish that Klaviyo allows for a more customized way to build your templates and campaigns. Its rigid, and needs to be more available to move things around as you want, and not stick to the rigid columns.

Klaviyo
Email marketing. It is the best platform for email marketing.
Vorteile
This is probably the best platform for email marketing I have ever tried. Well, I use it for my online store in order to send twice a week week newsletters to my customers' inboxes. Besides the multiple options that Klaviyo has, which makes it easy to give life to any pattern / combination of emails possibly out there, pricing is really fair, and they count with a free plan as well. Designing is also easy. I have fulfilled all my expectations when it was the time to create emails to be sent to customers. Something that I really like is the local time for delivering emails because sometimes customers have different time zones; if email is supposed to arrive at 9AM, then it would arrive at that time (for customers). Also, I have to mention the extense documentation that Klaviyo has. Customer service is through email, but they always answer back to you in as soon as 2 hours or less.
Nachteile
They could make pricing a little more advantageous for their clients.

Quality email marketing
Vorteile
I liked the template editor and it's ability to truly customize what users could design. Most of the templates were useable with some modifications.
Nachteile
We found more than one case where our HTML templates did not line up with the plain-text emails that were being sent by Klaviyo. This may have been because we replicated campaigns but it would be useful if Klaviyo re-ran the plain-text generator every time a new campaign is being sent. We use OpenCart 2 which Klaviyo hasn't offered an integration for (they have an integration for OpenCart v1.x).

So Easy To Use!
My experience with Klaviyo has been great overall. We've seen positive changes to our account since implementation and appreciate how easy it is to use.
Vorteile
It's extremely user-friendly, allowing you to regularly test, create your own CTAs, uploaded photos, drag and drop graphic elements, etc. Perfect for a team with zero coding experience. Side Note: Their customer support is top-notch.
Nachteile
Aside from being very user-friendly on most fronts, building out email flows is a different story. This tends to be a time consuming process that is not as straightforward as it could be.

Best email app ever!
I have only been using Klaviyo for 3 months and I only wish I had discovered it before. If you sell online through an e-commerce platform give it a try! You will not regret it!

I have nothing but good things to say about Klaviyo. It is filled with great features like no other email app I have seen before; it has a very friendly interface that makes email creation a breeze; excellent analytics and a very fair price.
The other huge plus is their amazing customer service! They are on their toes waiting to help you! Superfast, super-efficient!
Nachteile
I still have not learned to use this app in all its depth, but their triggers and segmentations are amazing. There is nothing not to like in this app.

Fully Integrated Email Marketing Platform for Shopify Stores

Klaviyo is the best out there that perfectly integrates with online stores that are built using Shopify. It offers several email automations and customer database management that allows to retain and engage lost customers. The platform is easy to use and very agency friendly.
Nachteile
There are not many limitations, though would like point out that, SMS marketing is not available in all locations which is a boomer.

Great Email Marketing Tool For Beginners and Ecommerce
Overall, Klaviyo has made setting up email marketing for my ecommerce websites super simple and effective. I would recommend to anyone that has an ecommerce site and wants to easily set up flows and make beautiful emails.
Vorteile
Klaviyo has easy to customize templates that make your emails look beautiful and creative. You do not need to know how to code in order to customize them. The pre-built automation flows make setting email marketing super easy. I love the drag and drop feature for setting up flows. It makes it easy to visualize and plan any campaign.
Nachteile
You have to be a paying member for live chat support. Regardless, the customer service is still super helpful. Just be aware that if you are on the free plan, you may have to email your questions. The pro, however, is that klaviyo has a bunch of content online that you can read to answer your own questions.

Most affordable email marketing software
It has been great. It sure helped us with our email marketing efforts

Klaviyo offers tons of automation based on customer journey. You can set them up once and leave them to work on their own. You can also send weekly or monthly campaigns. It will definitely add to your top line revenue
Nachteile
There is a fixed number of emails that can be sent on the free plan. However the paid plan is pretty affordable too

Klaviyo helped me to raise the average lifetime value of my customers by offering a very good email platform.
Vorteile
It is very intuitive and it's very easy to customize emails.
They have a lot of great templates that you can use to make great emails very fast.
It's great for ecommerce.
The open rates were very high with this software.

It was quite pricey compared to the competition.

Great for Intermediate Users
The metrics and reporting capabilities on Klaviyo are fairly real-time and make it easy to analyze campaigns once they've been launched. This has allowed me to run some great email marketing campaigns and even make sales from said emails. I will continue to recommend Klaviyo to this whose budget account for it and who want full email marketing capabilities in one nicely packaged app.
Vorteile
I like Klaviyo's flows the best. It's easy to learn how to trigger action-based flows from activities on your e-commerce site. Integration with Shopify is seamless, allowing me to utilize Klaviyo for my own clients that I coach in e-commerce as well. Functionality is great, because the emails are very timely and the ability to send on command is there.
Nachteile
Simply put, Klaviyo is too expensive and out of budget for someone looking to start their e-commerce journey. It's more expensive than a Shopify subscription, which is a little over the top.

The best autoresponder on the market
I've finally had confidence in my email sequences. Above all I have trust and confidence that the service is integrating correctly and the right emails are being sent out at the right times and look the right way. I'm not constantly worrying that this is being done correctly
Vorteile
It's pricing and functionality combo. It is designed the best of any email service I've seen, arranged in "flows" for a certain set of emails to automatically happen when an event is triggered. It integrates natively into several platforms including Shopify, making everything completely automated once it is set up. It is also free to use up to 250 contacts, which is quite impressive.
Nachteile
Sometimes the formatting and editing of the emails aren't quite accurate, it seems like sending tests sometimes yields different results than what is shown in the editor. This is always good practice, but could still be improved in the software. There are a few bugs in the interface that require reloading the page, but I've never lost any work I've done

Excellent Email Software
Such an impressive email service and compared to a much more expensive previous system was streets ahead. Granted there are better systems but for us the flows are perfect and for the next level of email campaign marketing you would need to spend a lot more

The ease of set up and the ability to see results against the campaigns. it was up and running within 24hr and their onboarding was outstanding.
Nachteile
To be honest very little however some of the email creative can be a little constrained. For the price it really is very good for those on a budget and with smaller CRMs. It may become more expensive if you have a lot of addresses as you pay per email user.

Vorteile
Simple et intuitif, Klaviyo est mon outil de gestion d'emailing depuis des années. Optimisé Shopify, c'est l'outil parfait dont j'avais besoin. Facile à appréhender, meme les collaborateurs les plus novices peuvent rapidement le prendre en main.

La partie créa mériteraient d'être plus développée : template, choix de typo, etc.

Very good tool for the price, has some good features
Is definitely sophisticated for its low price, but not optimal for a CRM focussed team and company.
Vorteile
For the price of the tool, its a super good one! You can even set-up free account, make a full data transfer or data set-up plan in line with the tool and its capabilities and then begin the paid monthly contract.
Nachteile
Has some funny quirks. Some features can be accessed if your workflows are event based but not list or segments based. Example, if someone re-enters a segment a year later they can no longer receive a flow. This will impact you highly for a multi-purchase business model. Another example is the "add to list" option from a list? segment flow. You cannot add users to a list based on their engagement actions in a workflow.

Best Email Marketing Tool, Especially for Ecommerce
It's saved me hours of time & made our email marketing much more robust! I love the analytics, where we can really see just how email marketing is contributing to our revenue.
Vorteile
Setting up email automations and segmenting your lists is SO easy with Klaviyo. It's incredibly user friendly, and allows you to setup your automations in a visual format. You can trigger an email off of any event you've setup to send to Klaviyo. It's great for ecommerce - setting up abandoned cart sequences or sending emails based on product views is simple.
Nachteile
There's very little I dislike about this software! My only complaint is small - when creating a new sequence, you can't change the "trigger" that initiates the flow.

Very Good Email Software
Higher revenue than using smaller email services. Also was able to set up some email automation.
Vorteile
Klaviyo is a pretty good email automation software. They have a lot of the same functions and abilities as all of the other guys so for me it came down to price when using them. They have helped my businesses focus more on email marketing and the revenue has exploded for that part of my business ever since.
Nachteile
No matter how easy they make it seem, all email software is somewhat difficult to use and set up. I unfortunately did not have the time to set this up myself and depended on my team to do that. It did not go so well until I had to jump into that project. If you do not know what you are doing with email then this can be difficult to use. AKA, not a great tool for the first time user.

Klaviyo is user friendly for first timers to email marketing & their customer service is...
Well I am building my subscriber list which they say is super important for the growth of my company. I know that I will see the benefits and fruits of that they longer I do it. I am so new at it now. But I feel like I am pro by using this software which gives me confidence that I can do this!
Vorteile
There are so many things to like about Klaviyo! When first starting out I had no clue what I was doing. I really appreciated that they had all the basic emails already outlined for me. It made it so much easier for me. All I had to do was go in and change words and insert images if I wanted. I like the options that I can either use a template with HTML or just a simple text email and they have so many template options! I like that the whole process is guided and really easy to use. I don't ever have to worry if my emails are going to be sent or not. I love that they keep your customer in mind and they have a system in place to where they are not inundated with emails from you. They have a checklist to make sure that you got all the essentials in there before you send out an email and they will remind you if you didn't do something like use any links! I feel safeguarded from sending out a sub par email. I also love the analytics so I can see who has opened the email, clicked on links, made a purchase. And to top it all of they have amazing customer service. Have loved my experience with Klaviyo!
Nachteile
The only thing I can think of is the fine print at the bottom of emails with all the manage preferences, mailing address, unsubscribe copyright info etc I had to kind of put together myself. Which is not a big deal at all but it would be nice to have that as an included template. Also not sure how to manually send a campaign to someone new to my newsletter. Have to manually do that. It only sends the campaign to those currently on my newsletter but not future subscribers within a certain time frame.

Love it but unsure about new editor...
Good, easy to use and does the job!
Vorteile
Super easy to use even without any knowledge of Klaviyo prior. Ability to search past sent campaigns is also super helpful. Scheduling is a breeze, too.
Nachteile
New editor needs work - makes some things easier to do but others impossible, also changes format for phone/desktop so things look significantly different between both with no real way to rectify it.

Email campaigns with ease
I'm one of the designers in our company and we use Klaviyo daily. One of our major channels for customer building is through email campaigns. Klaviyo is essential for that, and as a designer, is quite easy to use. Klaviyo is also built for teams. Even if I build a template for my project, another team member can easily access it to adjust on their end.
Vorteile
I like the ease of use when designing emails in Klaviyo. We use "block" contents to build the email campaigns we send out to existing and potential customers. We design customized elements outside the app and then easily upload them to the service and from there, it as easy as ABC. It is fairly straightforward but is also open to customizable elements; useful for brand builders.
Nachteile
An area for improvements could be file management. As we build more and more email campaigns (or termed templates) we undoubtedly create a lot of assets to use. Organizing them better can be beneficial for all types of users whether start-ups or full companies.

Changed our world
Amazing, everything period. I love the automated abandonment emails, the segments, the tracking, the ease of creating email templates. I really can't think of anything I dislike about it.
Vorteile
The segments. Klaviyo is pre set up to segment all of your customers so that you can run any campaign you want. Win backs, retention whatever it's simply amazing no more grunt work going through orders and compiling lists.
Nachteile
If I had to choose something I would say the cost but really it's worth every penny. It's very hard to find flaws with the software. It doesn't integrate perfectly with our frontend which uses Vue Storefront but we found a solution.

Klaviyo is a Great Bunch of Folks
Klaviyo has proven to be an excellent partner and their customer service is top notch. Some ESPs out there have a tendency to outsource customer service, and I always feel like I have someone to call at Klaviyo.
Vorteile
There has been a lot of movement in the Email Space and Klaviyo has turned itself into one of the most valuable services out there. The platform is easy while also feature-rich. This is my first recommendation to customers that are of a larger scale but don't have a dedicated email marketing manager.
Nachteile
The interface for Klaviyo is not as simple as some notable competitors but it comes pretty dang close.

Moved over from competitor and will never look back.
They have top knotch sales and support staff. within a day of submitting an inquiry i was put in touch with someone who helped answer all my questions and set up a follow up call with a more technical employee. They treat you like your their top customer even on one of their lower plans.
Vorteile
Easy integration and set up process. I was able to get up an running in under 2 hours. They have a ton of prebuilt flows and automations to get the most bang for you dollar. Their support team is super helpful.
Nachteile
The UI takes a few a minutes to get used to, but this is the case with most softwares.

Best E-come Email Software
Vorteile
Love Klaviyo. I've tried a few different email softwares in the past, including Mailchimp and GetResponse. Both of those softwares were a let down and didn't allow for the customization and integratino that I was looking for.
Klaviyo has an AMAZING integration with Shopify. Makes my life so much easier. It also integrates with FB ads, which is a huge plus.
Creating flows in Klaviyo is very simple, I have been able to create sophisticated flows with minimal stress and effort.
Nachteile
The only con I was going to mention was lack of a visual email flow tool, but they added that in the past 6 months, so I'm kind of stumped. It's a great tool. The only bad thing about it may be that it's more expensive, but I find it to be worth the cost.
