I love the ease of use I get with Motivosity. The interface is clean and simple and provides a good user experience. I love the ability to see the praise my colleagues receive. Also, who doesn't love receiving a shoutout from their coworkers? This software makes that simple.

Nachteile

I'm a bit of a competitive person so the leaderboard functionality is great. It isn't always clear, however, what drives that and how I can remain one of the top "givers" in my organization.

I love using highlights on motivosity, sometimes I use all my money before the month end but I can still recognized my team with the highlight

I don't think there is anything that I don't like or had a hard time with. Motivosity is pretty user-friendly and great to use!

Motivosity is a very versatile platform that provides all employees with the ability to thank and recognize those around them. We've noticed that it's a great way to offer incentives and help people feel appreciated. Also, there are so many great awards to give from gift cards to donating to charity.

Nachteile

There aren't a lot of cons. The only issue we've run into is that money has "disappeared". For instance, one morning all our management team's accounts had been drained, but no purchases had been made. Luckily, Motivosity's customer support is great and they were able to fix the issue in less than 24 hours.

I think Motivosity is very easy to use! I tend to help others more and use it everyday! This is a great program for moral in the company!

I think sending money on comments should not be limited if there is a group thank you! Money should be available to send to groups if you have it not just individuals!

I love how easy and simple it is to recognize an employee for their great work. From huge accomplishments to the tiniest things, Motivosity gives me an easy way to acknowledge and reward someone for making a difference.

I also use Motivosity for weekly 1:1s with my team. The agenda building is simple. I like that both parties can add to it. However, the note taking is quirky. In the beginning, I found myself getting caught up in fixing the formatting of my notes. I'm finally to the point where I just ignore the weird issues and move on. But it does bother me.

It's so easy to use and the interface is intuitive enough that when I would train employees on this we'd just demo live and let them click around and they could almost always figure things out on their on.

Nachteile

We ran into some glitches on the back-end and especially had issues with integrating with other systems. Also we didn't need customer support very often but when we did it was super difficult to get anyone and to then get them to work through an issue to resolution with you.

I love the idea of Motivosity. I like that we can reward either publicly or anonymously co-workers for anything. As well we can give Motivosity for a birthday gift of to celebrate the arrival of a new baby. We can make it both playful of professional. There is no limit to the usability in the work place. The software itself is both intuitive and enjoyable to use.

The best thing about Motivosity is that the recognition that you are giving to your peers is with real money and I think people really appreciate getting a "thank you card" with real value attached. Reminders make sure that you are putting thought into your "thanks" each month.

Nachteile

I wish that the money would roll over month to month and that you could also be given the option to send someone a gift card, that might make it more personal than the $1.00 or $2.00. If you had the ability to give a larger amount and personalize it as a gift card that might be an additional perk of the solution.

I love that our company is using Motivosity. The program has really helped to create an attitude and culture of appreciation and fun. I personally love to be able to send someone a thank you that is more than just words, but also a little bit extra to really show much I appreciate what they do for me and the company. I also really love that everyone in the company can see the appreciation because it really helps drive the culture we are working to build.

I love Motivosity so much, that I can't really think of anything that I don't like. My only thought is to keep adding more gift card options.

It's a very nice system to appreciate your colleagues. Where you normally wouldn't sent a message/email to thank someone, with Motivosity it's fun to do it. Also because everyone in the company can read it.
It's fun to motivate the team with a simple message.

Nachteile

The Highlights option isn't really adding value. When sharing a highlight, it will be quickly 'overflooded' with other messages and not visible as it should be.
It would be great to have 2 columns, one for your team - mandatory, and one for the company - or other teams. Highlights should be 'pinned' for some time or have a separate dashboard.

It is nice to be able to communicate with coworkers that we do not see on a daily basis. This has made it easier to feel everyones presence.

I would like their to be more things that we can use it for. I understand their is more as a management level but not much for a regular user.

Motivosity allows me to show appreciation to everyone on my team (and others outside of my immediate team) when they go above and beyond their role and responsibilities. It's simple and cost-effective, and it's constantly used by our team when asking for favors. Everyone is encouraged to show more gratitude because they are required to give their allotted dollars each month or else they expire. There are tons of options when it comes time to cash out your earned dollars for a reward.

Only wish we had more $$$ to give each month!

As an employee, it was great having this around to send a quick buck or a thank you note for the tiniest things. Knowing you might have made someone's day also give yours a boost too. The moto bucks idea is smart and cashing them out was a definite highlight after a long day at work. The gift cards are delivered almost instantly and are a sure-fire incentive so kudos to the company for that. Also, being able to send appreciation privately is a nice touch.

As I was working in a remote company at the time, Motivosity really helped tighten the team and keep everyone in the loop for birthdays, anniversaries and other special dates. I also appreciated being able to send a little something to people in leadership roles as they're rarely included in employee note-swapping.

Using it as a searchable company directory was immensely helpful since, as I mentioned above, it was a remote company so newcomers rarely knew who did what. (Actually, most seniors didn't either.)

Nachteile

The UI could still use some fine-tuning but they've evolved a lot and will probably tidy things up over time. Some of their messages are oddly invasive and the commenting system doesn't seem to have a logical order to how they're displayed.

I particularly like the effect this software has had on our company culture. We have been able to embrace a company culture of gratitude and teamwork, and that's partly due to our use of Motivosity. It's always great to tell someone 'Thank you!' and have someone else do the same. Plus, Motivosity is fun to use!

There are certain limitations to the software, particularly with regards to customization. Additionally, some of the reporting features are not as robust as I would like them to be.

My favorite thing about this software is that when my boss says "Good Job" it's followed with 20$. I've spent years at companies where I heard "good job" all year, then got dinged in my performance review for small things I was unaware I should be doing.

Motivosity removes the need for performance reviews because money talks. If I'm not doing a good job, I don't get that 20$ and I know I should improve. When I improve, I get instant feedback that I can benefit from instantly instead of waiting for an arbitrary decisions to occur behind closed doors once a year.

Nachteile

I wish there were more options for cashing out, specifically things like door-dash and grub-hub. I know I can use the visa card option to essentially use my bonus money anywhere, but it adds steps to the process and the fewer steps to cashing out the better.

It also allows keeping track of work anniversarys and birthdays easy.

Pre update the mobile was really wonky but now its great to use and the website has been revamped along side the mobile app.
Not what I like the least but something I wish for is a nudge to remind the owners to give out awards that they created. For example my bosses did it for like 2 weeks then forgot about it for pretty much a year.

The transparency of appreciations, the ability to have cross-department appreciations, the variety of the online store and having in-house swag and promotions. The engagement from our employees has been outstanding and the user interface makes it really easy to teach.

Nachteile

Lack of custom reporting and the reports always coming up from the previous quarter. The leaderboard doesn't really make sense with our company, but I understand the idea of it.

Vorteile

Motivosity has made a difference in the department I work in by spotlighting daily accomplishments of over 100 employees. Prior to having the software in place I don't think we were doing this regularly or consistently. Now we have a way of making sure that every employee feels recognized and is rewarded for their contribution to the group. We have internal and external clients and both send thanks through e-mail but we can also post this using the software to share the kudos with the rest of the team.

Nachteile

I don't have any complaints about the software and I can't think of anything I would change at the moment. I appreciate the immediate follow up, e-mail notifications and the monthly reporting options in the software. It operates the way I expect it to.

We were struggling to find a way to recognize and reward employees without a lot of red tape. When Motivosity was introduced to use, it immediately met our needs. The software itself was easy to use and no instruction was needed on how to setup your profile or how to recognize someone.

I like that you can thank whoever you want to thank, whenever you want to thank them. Because we have employees all over the world it is hard to connect with someone you want to thank, so having the ability to tell them through Motivosity really eliminates all the road blocks to appreciating someone for something they did.

Nachteile

I don't like that anniversaries and birthdays disappear from the feed and that you can't look backwards to see whose birthday or anniversary you might have missed. I also don't like that you can't search for a post without knowing who posted it or who was recognized.

Vorteile

I use it most days and have found it very useful in giving extra incentives very easily and using it as a way to motivate my team and show my appreciation. It is built into my processes with my team and we use it very often. At first I was critical of it but now, especially with COVID, it has really be such a great system to work with and easy to use.

I was critical that losing the immediate tangible gift cards that we used to give out to our team would be a big negative. However, COVID changed all of that and I am so glad we had this in place when COVID hit.

Who would have thought that giving employees a few dollars each month to give to each other could be so motivating?! It's amazing how much "grunt work" that is normally avoided and ignored can have several volunteers when you offer a buck or two of motobucks! And after going the extra mile, it's surprising how much more gratifying it is if someone gives you a significant portion of their very small supply of motobucks, than if they were to say send you a $20-50 gift card to go out to dinner. I usually don't even watch my balance go up through the year - motivosity isn't truly about the money in how it motivates, but how an artificially scarce resource plays psychologically into motivation. Having a nice balance of "of-the-books" (to my spouse!) money after a while to buy a "toy" with no guilt is just an added bonus. I'd definitely recommend it to other companies.

The iOS mobile app flat out doesn't work. The org chart is useful, but can be confusing to navigate.

We received limited information when the product was rolled out and I wasn't sure about how to use some of the features. Fortunately, after I checked it out and experimented a little, it was really pretty simple.

I really enjoy being able to enter my own comments into the thank you box...it's great not being limited to drop down boxes. Also l like how you can make comments private. Not everyone needs to see everything so it's great you can decide if it's public or private. The personality profile is also really cool. It's fun to see other people in the bank who are like me. And being able to change your profile picture. The fact that it's not some goofy profile picture HR plugs in there is awesome...I like that I have control over that.

Nachteile

I still don't really understand how the points work...I am pretty sure you get more points for being thanked vs sending thanks, but in my head that is kind of opposite of how it should be. I know the intent isn't to get Motivosity points but since we do get points I feel like it's a flawed system. It's always better to give then to get, in my opinion anyhow.

You are giving the opportunity each month to recognize people that make an extra effort around you. It makes saying "thank you" for a job well done more meaningful. And when you are the recipient it is even better!

Having to wait until next month to show appreciation for a coworker when you run out of money! (But that is not the application's fault! I wish I had more money to give).

simple, easy to use. Allows for 360 degrees of recognition, meaning that not only leaders recognizing reports, but peers recognizing peers, reports recognizing leadership. Despite what some people think, as a leader of people, we like to be told we're doing a good job too!

Nachteile

When filling out the profile, it would be nice to have the system have a pop up window or highlight the areas in red that were not filled in correctly vs. just freezing and not allowing the user to complete. This would reduce the frustration of when a new user is trying to fill out the profile and gets stuck.

Not a dang thing. I love it. I have never had a problem with the software.
However! People often times will partner up in trading money to buy lunch or something for themselves. This defeats the purpose. I think quotes about kindness and appreciation every time you trade might be a nice and subtle way to help steer people in the right direction when using their motivosity.

I love the ability to personalize an really open up one self to the agency and others. I like how user friendly it is, to use it and recognize people is not hard at all. As a manager I love that I can see how my team interacts with other in motivosity, helps me get a feel for how engaged they are with each other and the company.

There isn't anything I dislike, I it really enjoyable to use. As I use it every day I see its value more and more.

So easy to use. When you hear "thank you" coming out of your mouth, it's such a quick second step to get on and share it on Motivosity. I see people using the "highlights" tab as well which is really good because we have 4 separate offices over the country and its a nice way to connect.
I like the variety of reports we are able to run that we are using for various purposes.

Nachteile

That we were required to load $1 into everyone's account at the beginning of the month. We wanted to set up a experience of giving freely and then at the end of the month doing random drawing for winners. We went over this in the sales phase and told that we could do that - but then after signing the contract found out that we were required to put in $1. This took away from our drawing budget. What we are finding is that the individuals who are truly embracing the software and the concept, are recognizing way beyond the use of their dollar. The people who don't, their dollar doesn't get used and goes away at the end of the month - but we still have to budget for the event that they do use it - so we seem to almost needlessly have a reduced monthly drawing budget.
Also, the nomination feature does not allow for a team nomination (putting in multiple names in the nomination line) and our quarterly individual and team nominations for awards is an important part of how we wanted to utilize the software.

This was great because it gave recognition a meaningful tie to finances... Financial incentives go a long way, especially if unexpected. In addition to that, hearing about or seeing how much people received in tips from coworkers helped identify who the great team players were.

Nachteile

When I used it, I don't recall it tying into Facebook, so unfortunately not everyone had pictures, and it could be hard to make sure you were tipping the right person in large organizations, especially if you didn't want to have to ask for their full name or handle.
