Light Speed is easy to use and makes retail quick so we can go on to the next customer.

Nachteile

Some of the features such as special orders, layaways, etc are tricky. Their website product management is cumbersome and could use some attention.

Since my site was created with wordpress. I find that the application of lightspeed for the wordpress is not optimized. It should be more practical and better created.

Online POS. Set up to be user-friendly, though you'll find it isnt for all aspects. Easy to search items if you know exactly what the description is. Importing item data is relatively simple to set up, but you have to be very careful with it.

Nachteile

Customer support is horrible. Takes forever just to reach them, and when you do they are usually clueless, and cold. I'm not sure if they're bots or what, but it's unacceptable. The matrix process is very confusing and tricky.

With Lightspeed we have obtained a greater number of sales, thanks to the ease of using the platform all the staff that is destined to carry out any activity within it can do it, since all configuration is always simple and clear when implementing it

The only fault that we have experienced when using lightspeed is that when we are working with many products it starts to get something slow. Outside of that I do not see any other setback

Lightspeed has been a fantastic addition to our business. We have a small golf retail shop that specializes in Special Orders & Repairs. Since switching to Lightspeed we have increased our efficiency & quality of service. This is due to Purchase Ordering & Work Order system. It is easy to use and we love how it tracks the order from inception to pick-up. We are connected to a local golf course & the work order system lets me assign employees to certain tasks that I am unable to do in store. When we switched to Lightspeed we had no idea how much easier it was going to make our lives in store.

I also can't say enough about the service that I've received from the Initial Orientations to any questions/issues I've had along the way. The Lightspeed support staff is fantastic and I take advantage of the service they offer regularly. We have just added Lightspeed Webstore and we can't wait to see what that brings to our business.

Nachteile

I have very few complaints with this product & vendor. If I had to pick one, it would be lack of customization options for Lightspeed Webstore. I am fairly illiterate when it comes to coding so I would love to see an easier way to customize colors, fonts, etc.

Great inventory management, easy to add products using purchase orders, syncs with Quickbooks, love the ability to offer credit accounts, great reports.

Nachteile

Would like the inventory to be able to record a negative quantity, but the developers are working on it.

I like the ability to take LightSpeed with me to the events we take part in. By plugging in my cell to my computer for internet access, I can log in to LightSpeed and keep my inventory up to date with each transaction I complete outside of the shop!

There are a couple minor issues I'm facing with the webstore, but nothing major at all. I dislike the fact that penny-rounding has not been implemented yet for the Canadian users, so my end of day cash out is almost always out by a penny or two. I also really dislike the fact that customer support is not open 24/7. This is an issue for me considering I am on the West Coast and am open until 6pm or 8pm, and they are closed before I am every day. They do have the emergency customer support, where they decide whether or not you are in an emergency situation depending on the voicemail you leave, but I have left a message that to me was an emergency because I was still open, but they didn't think it was important enough to respond.

So easy to use! Was able to teach all our employees how to use it within a few minutes. Has individual log-ins, time management, and so much more. I cant imagine an industry this software can't tackle. Put as little, or as much information as you want to, and the system does the rest. I recommend this to everyone and anyone.

No complaints! Whenever I think of something (feature or report) I need, it turns out Lightspeed has it.

This software has been a great addition to our family business. The ease of adding inventory into the system and ringing out a customer is beyond what I hoped for. No more paper sales receipts or digging through boxes for serial numbers.

When an item is not in the database it is hard to add one to your inventory. I do like that LightSpeed will preload vendor item numbers for you but a lot of older items are no longer in the databases.

It seems like the transfer of information in to quickbooks is lumped together in journal entries which sometimes can be limiting.

I like my ability to use this product anywhere I have an internet connection. On my phone, at home or in our store. Lightspeed is very quick to help us when we need it.

I do not like that they do not believe in negative numbers. Their method of getting around using them is unnecessarily confusing and problematic.

Lightspeed is a very helpful system for retail companies. It is very convenient and easy to use software. All of the modules/menus are very easy to follow and does not require intensive training for the new users. One very good benefit from Lightspeed is that it allows us to see our real inventory in stores.

All things are good. So far we do not encounter any major problems using this system. It actually satisfies our needs.

Intuitive, Easy to use system, Amazing customer service, answered all our questions very promptly from well before we decided to purchase the program and just as quickly after we committed. Prices for the hardware are also very reasonable. Lightspeed also has a client driven suggestion site. Online training was intensive and the host was very knowledgable.

There a few items that would be helpful to our type of business, like being able to discount by line in a purchase order, or add a sketch of a custom piece of furniture to a purchase order for the manufacturer. They are working on a work around for penny rounding.

Its shiny. It uses ipads, but make sure its not an older model or it wont fit in the over-priced ipad holder. Im guessing the pc version is better. Also make sure you have aplenty of ethernet ports on your router. Each printer for the POS requires its own. Althought they told me that there was a wireless model after I bought the older ethernet version.

I have literally waited 45-60 minutes several times that I have tried to get an answer to a question. Once you order the system, you will find this company incredibly frustrating to work with.

In Lightspeed Retail I don't find any critical errors but i feel little bit issues to understand the software for initial because i was new user.

Big buttons, the help window literally list everything if you run into trouble. I like the fact the have reports for basically everything and shows a history of the item. From when it was processed to sold.

I don't know if you can or cannot, but I accidentally made a copy of a item and now can't delete the item!

The low up-front cost of Lightspeed's system was my initial draw, and I'm very happy with the results since. Customer service responds to the few minor problems that I have had, and sometimes our suggestions as to improvements of the software are actually implemented, making you feel as though Lightspeed is interested in providing a quality product.

While my salesperson was great, I've heard from others that they've experienced pushy or rude salespeople. That, however, is hearsay so I can't put too much weight in it. Every POS system has its problems, but I appreciate that Lightspeed actually seems interested in improving.

This is a comprehensive POS, inventory control, and CRM solution for my brick and mortar specialty beer and wine retail shop. Its online component (underutilized by me as most customers just come to the store) is seamless and excellent. Unlike my previous cloud based system, Lightspeed has a no hassle, no cost gift card program, multiple tax rates, multiple discount rates, FIFO inventory, and seamless integration with Mailchimp and other third parties. This is an incredible value. Tech support has been free and usually on top of things. I could go on and on.

Nachteile

The app for older iPads is buggy, so I use the online version for my old iPad. It hasn't been a problem, but the online UI is not as pretty as the app. I would like an Android version of the app as I am not an Apple guy. The webpage templates are not that versatile but that's really a function of cost. I am only going to get so much customization for the price though.

I like that it easy to add items and check in items.

Nachteile

I don't like that you can't lock a credit card terminal to a specific register. If you have two registers you have to manually select which credit card terminal which sucks if you accidentally chose the wrong one you have to go to the credit card terminal you chose and cancel it.

Also, they are not as responsive once you have the system all set up. At first they are amazingly helpful and then it takes time afterwards to get help.
