Sharpspring is the best marketing automation tool for little, medium and big business.

Overall Sharpspring is the best marketing automation and CRM software I used so far. It outperforms any other software I know and worked.

Vorteile

Sharpspring has an easy interface and do a great integration between marketing automation and CRM, helping these teams to work without any gaps, fully integrated. Reports are very easy to generate and personalize.

Nachteile

The Email designer and Landing Pages Designer is not the ideal yet, is a little difficult to use.
Other problem is the incapacity to separate invoices and charges to my clients in Brasil. I need to receive from my clients separately and pay for all Sharpspring licences.

Must have for marketing and sales in growing business

I can't speak highly enough for the great staff. I have mentioned them in another part of this review, but they really have been a lifesaver going above and beyond. For example, I am not really comfortable with CSS and wanted a certain form to be two columns. I asked for reference material on how to make it happen. They sent me the materials AND the code to place in my form. AWESOME!!!!!

Vorteile

Everything you need to grow a business is in one place. The interface is easy to use and very intuitive. However, my favorite part of the company is the awesome support staff! Migrating from another platform, there is always a learning curve and workflow adjustment. If there was something we didn't know how to achieve in SharpSpring their friendly staff would explain with great detail how to get it done and integrate into the workflow we created.

Nachteile

Their social posting, responding section of the software is still a bit weak and we do utilize another piece of software to get this done, but we remember their software is about the automation and converting leads to customers and it does that very well, so this is an easy area to compromise.

The price point was the biggest initial reason. We moved from another large product that pieced everything together making it out of reach for the smaller businesses. SharpSpring has all the major pieces as one at a lower cost. Had I known about the great customer service... I would have moved over a long time ago!

We moved ourselves and our clients over from Hubspot

The support is always there for us if we need them, but any new feature is introduced with great support materials (how-to guides/videos etc) so the need for my team to refer to them is minimised.

The pricing is great when you compare to others with similar functionality and they go from strength to strength.

Originally it was transparency and pricing that made us move. But since then it's the fact that Sharpspring have continued to develop the platform with great new features (like the inbuilt CRM, Sales Automation and integrated Meeting booking functionality) many of which at no additional cost (unlike Hubspot) that means we continue to use and recommend Sharpspring over any other platform for our SMB clients.

Nachteile

I would like SMS functionality to be built in as well as email (I appreciate it's not as big in the USA where Sharspring's biggest customer base is) but it's big here in the UK

Sharpspring for the win--Top quality marketing software for a decent price

We've been using sharpspring for ourselves and as an agency for our clients. Love how well it tracks clients, incoming emails, syncs with our inbox, and tracks interactions for all of our clients.

Vorteile

Looking to get the best out of my email marketing, Sharpspring gives me the chance to reach out to my whole list with a modicum of effort. The best part is the automation--triggers and the ability to build out a complex program make a big difference in efficacy and efficiency.

Nachteile

The email builder inside of the program--WYSIWYG. You can do this, but it's frustrating to make the thing look like you want it to.

Sharpspring the most complete marketing automation software you can get in this price range!

We use this software for the "marketing automation" catch leads and convert them to customers (for us but also our custumers). I have been using other tools and they tend to be FAR to big and overwhelming.

So my experience is that i can easy train others to use SharpSpring and let marketing and sales work together in the tool and with the tool.

- Possible to have skype calls and team sessions with SharpSpring to spar.

Nachteile

- The Social Media part in the software is not optimal, we still use other software next to it.
- CRM feature is small, great for small companies, but bigger ones can come short.

Sophisticated yet easy-to-use platform

I am using SharpSpring across my entire client bases to generate and nurture leads, manage website inquiries and analytics and monitor and post across social media channels.

Vorteile

While the functionality is extremely powerful, SharpSpring itself is easy-to-use. Like any software, there is an initial training period where you have to get comfortable with the platform, but I found it pretty intuitive, especially after participating in the on-boarding training classes. The best thing about the software is the results it's generating for my clients. Our email marketing campaigns have been extraordinarily successful and the reporting functionality makes it easy to demonstrate these results to our clients.

Nachteile

I've been very satisfied with the software and don't have any complaints. One wish-list item would be for SharpSpring to integrate with survey tools so I could seamlessly administer campaigns requesting customer feedback.

Great software for an extremely reasonable price

Amazing marketing tool, amazing price, and would highly recommend to any business to business sales team.

Vorteile

I love the great e-mail marketing campaigns, show the statistical analysis of the conversions through each campaign, and find what clients are clicking, viewing, and making them convert. We also can achieve this through using their media import section for when we add in video testimonials, client reviews, and any visual data to get a potential client hooked.

Nachteile

I'm not a massive fan of the CRM. The tasks aren't great, you don't get to see the e-mails that you sent if they are not a "smart mail" that has been pre made. Logging calls and tracking them in the system seems impossible as well. But for the benefits of the marketing, and for the price, its suitable enough. Just expect frustrations with the CRM side.

Solid marketing automation platform; good value

Good value for the cost. My company is able to generate new business via SharpSpring's marketing automation software, and we are able to generate meaningful sales qualified leads for our clients. Not the most robust system out there, but it gets the job done and is very easy to use.

Vorteile

Easy-to-use platform that makes marketing automation simple for both our agency and our clients. Great partner agency program that provides huge value for us.

Some of the best SharpSpring features include: VisitorID (the ability to see which individuals and companies and looking at your website), detailed email reports, visual workflows, and pre-designed email templates.

Nachteile

SharpSpring is not as robust as other marketing automation platforms. As a result, it lacks many features that other systems have and the site often glitches. It's difficult to automate drip campaigns, notifications, etc. as the automation functionality is missing a number of key features. CRM is also not intuitive and lacking a lot of basic search/filtering functionally. Additionally, you may have to know a bit of HTML to design emails, as the pre-built templates can be a bit finicky.

Fantastic Service, Very Useful Product

Vorteile

SharpSpring filled a void in our content marketing program, enabling us to better understand which resources impact our lead-gen and sales process. It also allows us to follow up with leads in intelligent ways, sharing relevant, personalized information and tracking response.

The SharpSpring platform is very easy to use and configure, and their customer service is top-notch. We especially appreciated their Onboarding process, which equipped us with the skills and knowledge we needed to manage the platform on our own. That self-reliance was crucial in our decision to move forward with SharpSpring.

We feel that the pricing is more than fair, and we are seeing tremendous value from the platform. SharpSpring helps us to have a truly integrated marketing and sales function.

Nachteile

We'd like to see more flexibility in the reporting--the ability to create a personalized dashboard with the precise metrics we need to monitor on a daily basis. The information is available in SharpSpring, but we have to look in several different places to find it.

A good tool for marketing automation

Overall, SharpSpring meets our needs. We do not need a full content management system (ala HubSpot), but we needed a more flexible email marketing tool and a good way to drive leads for our sales team.

Vorteile

- Marketing automation tool easy to use after a few passes, and has a lot of flexibility around triggers and options.
- Forms are great for collecting lead information elsewhere (we use largely with Leadpages) and automatically pulling that data into SharpSpring/contacting the appropriate rep within our company.
- Reporting is pretty good; I really appreciate the ability to drill into the email reports on an individual basis.
- Self-help documents are pretty good.

Nachteile

- Customer service is weak (aside from onboarding). It took a long time (over a month) to resolve an integration issue, and in general customer support is slow to respond and not very knowledgeable.
- Email builder is just OK, and customization options on forms are limited. I would love to be able to better manipulate the look of the forms we use.
- Landing Page tool is new, and I expect it to improve, but it's clunky and hard to build what I want at this time.
- There is sometimes a lag in reporting that makes it hard to confirm in real-time if an email has gone out/an import is loaded, etc.

A powerful marketing automation software with CRM that will help your sales rep close the deal

The interface is a bit bulky and can get time to get used to. But once you know how to navigate it it's easy.

Great for our team and for our customers.

SharpSpring has been a great choice for our agency. We are only starting to use it and love it. I can't wait as we continue to deploy more customers and use it to the full potential for ourselves as well.

Nachteile

Since I use this to manage customers and my sales team I really need the ability to have more control over being able to have the sales team see all customers and contacts but only the name and contact so they can see this is a current client. The only way they can do that is by giving them the ability to also access all other contact information including emails. If you manage a competitive sales team that can cause problems. I need them to focus on their customers and not have the ability to look at what other salespeople are doing with their customer's interaction, etc. but they do need to know who is a customer so they know who to and who not to call on.

Our Smartest Decision

We have integrated Sharpspring with other software systems which has been seamless and has allowed us to develop a really powerful platform. The nature of the software system means that as we keep refining our processes we are just getting better and better.
The support and attitude of Sharpspring has been brilliant and they are a pleasure to deal with.

Vorteile

Sharpspring is totally focused on the important features of being able to deliver a world class marketing automation system at a incomprehensibly low price. With new features being added on a very regular basis this powerful platform really does it all.
Our business would probably not exist without Sharpspring as it has become central to to most of our business processes. Having previously used other systems I can testify to Sharpspring's ease of use and effectiveness.

Nachteile

When we initially implemented the software there were a couple of features which were not available; however, over the past couple of years these issues have been addressed and the rate of developed is really impressive. Our initial concern that, compared to other platforms, Sharpspring might not keep pace with market developments have been completely dispelled and in fact they exceed the development of their industry peers

Well-Thought Out Tool That Can Drive Your Business

Positive. We like the tool and have onboard three other customers already in 3 months. We see this as a positive engagement tool to offer with our services as an agency.

Vorteile

Onboarding and set-up guidance. They help during a window of time however, there is a lot required to get you up and going. They refer often to the EDU and Classroom hours for help. This actually helps but you should anticipate 30-60 days with your current schedule to be up and running. Validation of leads, the assignment from leads to opportunities and the lead scoring, with automation helps salespeople realize where they are in the pipeline with prospects. We wanted to have more integration from forms to collecting leads, company and associated sub-accounts organized with individual opportunities. The ability to replace MailChimp, Lead Pages and Pipedrive while adding more functionalities was beneficial and outweighed the cons. This puts us in a good position to walk other customers through the process correctly and have longer-term contracts with them.

Nachteile

Onboarding and set-up. We underestimated all that would be needed to get this up and going and likely they know the challenges a company can face. I'd imagine that hinders sales but they should really let a user know the team and tasks to consider/ required based on the company size.

If you like to build on a long term business... this is your choice

Vorteile

It's nice way of adapting for every situation. It's a software easy to use but not limited. Also the strong evolution of the software monthly updates and growing system makes it grow with your business while technology rapidly changes.

Nachteile

It's looking so easy that people tent to forget that you have to work in it. It's marketing automation, but it doesn't do the work for your business. More CEO, CFO en marketing department leaders have to be informed, engaged and encouraged to work on it together and it becomes magic.

Excellent value well functioning marketing automation software

The cost savings (literally thousands of pounds) of SharpSpring vs comparable suppliers is significant.. My team also finds the functionality and user experience to be much cleaner, meaning we use more features compared to our previous provider. Overall we are happy we migrated from our previous supplier to SharpSpring

Vorteile

We moved to SharpSpring from another leading marketing automation software provider and SharpSpring provide 95% of the features for less than half the cost. The software itself is easy to understand and navigate (much easier than our previous system) and the support team are responsive, friendly and helpful. We've been very happy with our migration to SharpSpring and intend to be a user for the foreseeable future. It meets our needs as a specialist life science marketing agency perfectly.

Nachteile

There are some features that are missing from SharpSpring vs our previous provider, but on balance we felt that either 1. We wouldn't use them 2. We could live without them for the cost savings and other benefits of SharpSpring. Dynamic forms would be great to have, and the analytics sometimes don't match our other analytics software. What I will say is that SharpSpring seem more responsive to requests for new features vs our old provider.

Great tool for marketing automation with fantastic customer support

Complex workflows depending on conditions based with custom fields to automate the nurturing process for our clients.

Customer/Partner support is simply amazing. Over the last 4 years working with Sharpspring, partner support had helped us in many and different ways solving 100% of our questions and cases that we need additional help. The support team replies incredibly fast and always friendly.

Best ROI for Small Medium Sized Business

We are one of the earliest SharpSpring agencies and users. We selected SharpSpring for its price/performance for SMB companies. We have worked extensively with HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot and others - but for small businesses, it is hard to beat the full-stack solution and feature set in SharpSpring.

Vorteile

Complete integrated tech stack for marketing and sales that includes the core functionality a business needs to execute full-funnel marketing and sales campaigns and manage the sales pipeline.

Nachteile

SmartMail provides 1:1 direct IMAP email, but it would be nice if there was a sales-driven email automation feature for low volume 1:1 emails to prospects.

Making great progress with SharpSpring

I've used a couple of different Marketing Automation platforms in the past. Marketo briefly and Act-On for a couple of years. I switched to SharpSpring around 6 months ago when I set up my own marketing agency.

Really happy with how its going. OK - its obvious that SharpSpring is a smaller company. I come across the occasional feature that could do with some refinement. But overall its fair to say I love SharpSpring.

Top features from my POV...

Ease of use - The separation of Tasks and Workflows seems to make this a much simpler product to use than Act-on. Easier than Marketo as well - though its about 3 years since I used that.

The templates provided for rapidly building landing pages are excellent.

The new personas feature is brilliant when combined with "Dynamic content blocks" (which you can use on landing pages as well as Emails.

The built in CRM is a huge advantage and is perfect for BDM teams or smaller companies. Obviously if you can make do without a full-featured CRM like Salesforce, you'll save thousands $$ by switching to a simpler product like SharpSpring. (I used to use Act-on integrated with Salesforce and that was an absolute pig.)

Cost - SharpSpring is much less expensive than Act-On and Marketo. You get unlimited users on their standard license plans - so you're not penalised for spreading use across Marketing, BDMs and Sales folk.

So features - not a problem.

I've found the training / on-boarding satisfactory and the ongoing technical support is fast and personal.

Vorteile

Ease of use, good templates, built in CRM (although you can integrate with 3rd party CRM if you need.) Cost saving compared to competing products - especially if you can dispense with a full-fat CRM like Salesforce which is bloated and over priced for SME market in my opinion.

Nachteile

Occasional glitches. Sometimes you have to refresh the page to see the result of a change that you have made. For example - the number of members in a list - can take a few minutes after saving the query to report a true number. But you soon learn to live with minor issues like this.

I recommend this to everyone!

Overall I give this tool 5 stars, A's all across, two thumbs up, a wink and a smile. As I mentioned, I have been using the tool now for 4 years and have quite a bit of experience using their competitors and so-called "market leaders". I love Sharp Spring it does everything, at a value you can hardly compare.

Vorteile

Sharp Spring provides me and my clients with several advantages over its competition (like Eloqua, Marketo, Pardot, Infusionsoft). First of all, you can not beat their licensing value. Each license comes with unlimited users. This alone beats all the competition. Secondly, they have integrated an awesome CRM (missing in all the other marketing automation tools) so you do not have to go out and buy licenses for that. Lastly, it is a COMPLETE marketing automation system with true behavioral marketing capabilities.

Nachteile

At first, I had a hard time understanding how they do automation. I was used to using a drag and drop "visualization" interface to build drip campaigns. I also had a bit of a hard time getting used to their nomenclature. The way that automation processes are set up in Sharp Spring are through two things... Tasks (which I was used to calling triggers) and Workflow (which I was used to calling task automation). You can see how it was confusing for me. Well I learned it, it was not that hard, and I actually see now how it is a way superior way to program automation then using visual aids that would be cumbersome to try to set up and manage in large scale automation projects.

SharpSpring a Team of Experts

SharpSpring has a team of experts to assist with any challenge. Our agency had a unique challenge with one of our clients that involved compliance. This was a first for us, and we didn't know where to begin to fix the issue. We were so amazed at the level of support that was provided to assist us in navigating through the challenge. The level of expertise and professionalism was phenomenal. We are proud to be a part of the SharpSpring family.

Vorteile

The features are easy to use. There is assistance available for ever feature - step by step instructions. Particularly, I like the new features that are added continuously. This allows our agency to stay on top of the changes in the marketplace while offering the new features to our clients.

Nachteile

There is absolutely nothing that I don't like about the product.

This is your answer to Hubspot

SharpSpring is focused on the agency, not competing with the agency. As such, we can resell SS to our customers at pricing that is fair and always far less expensive than Hubspot. It allows us to be directly involved in our client's work. We use it for our own agency work, and have seen positive results!

Vorteile

SharpSpring has grown by leaps and bounds over the past three years. Its team is nimble and responsive, and feature sets continue to grow and improve. The UI is much more intuitive than Hubspot and well organized into two main action sets: marketing and sales.

Nachteile

SS still lags behind Hubspot in the email editor, in the page editor, and in the blogging system. That said, they're not that far behind, and if you're passingly familiar with html, you'll be fine. Add the always available support, and you're in good shape.

Perfect for Digital Marketing Agencies

There was a fairly steep learning curve to use SharpSpring, even though I'd used HubSpot and other marketing automation platforms in the past. I think this seems expected for a lower cost solution, though. Once we got comfortable with it, though, it's been very quick and easy to build out all the assets and start our campaigns. It's worked beautifully for our own marketing and for clients. It's easy to build emails and customize them to match your client's brand.

Vorteile

What I like most about SharpSpring is how much you get for the money. It packs every feature you'd expect from the expensive marketing automation platforms but doesn't throw exorbitant costs on those features. I also like the ease of integration with other platforms.

Nachteile

I highly dislike the recent shift in having clients pay for their own accounts with separate billing. We were sold this platform as one we could completely white-label for clients, but now we are required to put a client CC on file.

Great Marketing Automation With a Solid Support Team

I've been using SharpSpring for just about under a year in this time, I've recommended it to just about every marketer I've worked with.

Typically, marketing automation software has only been usable by large and mid-size organizations due to the high cost of both the software and the expertise in operating an inbound marketing campaign. SharpSpring costs only a fraction of competing tools like HubSpot, Pardot, Marketo, etc., but it offers all of the core features of these platforms and has a few of its own features, like a built-in customizable CRM, that make it a great fit for just about any marketing team.

There aren't any serious downsides or tradeoffs with SharpSpring vs the more expensive platforms. The customer service team is always very attentive and transparent about bugs and fixes, and SharpSpring has made a series of significant upgrades even during the time I've been using the platform. If you're used to using some of the other platforms I mentioned, some pieces of SharpSpring might initially feel less polished. But, once you look under the hood and start working with the platform, everything is there in a pretty intuitive layout.

Highly recommended for marketing & sales teams.

The core marketing automation functionality in SharpSpring is excellent. If you're looking for Visitor ID tracking, better email communication, personalization, a landing page builder, or a CRM, SharpSpring is definitely worth a look.

Even though it's a "soft" feature, it's worth noting that the customer service team has been great to work with. I've been able to give my clients solid timelines for when to expect a fix or help.

Nachteile

The email and landing page builders are solid, but they lack some of the intuitive features that you might get from a dedicated email service provider like Campaign Monitor or Mail Chimp. There might be a few things you'll miss migrating over from one of these platforms, though nothing important for obtaining the same end results.

Amazing Enterprise-level Marketing Automation + Integrated CRM Platform

SharpSpring has saved us time and money by bringing together everything we need internally, as well as the needs of our clients, into one platform. Having the ability to dedicate time to only leads that truly show an interest in working with us, as well as, to see that interest with the click of a button is amazing.

SharpSpring is a game-changer! Getting an all-in-one platform that allows us to go from capturing lead information and behavior all the way through to identifying qualified leads through marketing campaigns is amazing. Having one place for marketing emails, landing pages, social media, blogging, meetings, video chats, and more is almost unheard of. Match that with a really robust CRM that tracks leads, beautifully outlines the life of a lead, and allows you to easily manage the sales pipeline and one-on-one engagements with pre-qualified leads with lead scoring is amazing.

Nachteile

Seriously, there isn't much negative to say about this platform. The onboarding was amazing, the self-guided trainings were awesome, it's a great platform. The only downside is it's not as "pretty" as some platform, but hey, I'd rather have a functioning product helping me make more money and something pretty to look at.

A True Unicorn Product: The Best Features and the Lowest Cost

The sales team was very nice, the implementation team is nice, the customer service is FANTASTIC! If you have a problem they have online chat to quickly connect you with someone to help. Other expensive platforms require support tickets that can take days for a response.

Vorteile

I'm a 15-year agency veteran. I've purchased and used many marketing automation/CRM platforms ... Most of which cost several factors more. The email builder/designer is far above the "blue cloud" companies platform. Reporting is a breeze. Automation is drag and drop. The interface is very intuitive and easy to learn. SharpSpring compares to the most expensive platforms at a fraction of the price. I only wish I had discovered it much sooner.

Nachteile

The only con is with the landing page builder. It is still far above several platforms that cost more money but it is a little quirky if you haven't used it before. But, once you are familiar with the tool, you learn how to work around it, and overall it works pretty well. The ability to edit the page code makes it easy to get the outcome you want.

Great marketing automation software

Overall, I very much appreciate the ease of use with SharpSpring, from a marketing professional to the sales person to administrator. The support is prompt and if they don't have an immediate solution they'll put you on the right track to getting your issue taken care of.

Vorteile

The "life of lead" feature is a view of the customer's engagement with the company that is unlike any other platform we've seen. The automation features are easy to use, intuitive and logically planned out.

Nachteile

Although the ability to publish to social media platforms from within SharpSpring, we're hoping they'll progress to being able to integrate Instagram along with the other platforms and to integrate full social advertising and paid search into the tool.

Marketing Automation with World Class Customer Support Has Exceeded Our Expectations

Transparency of our efforts all from a single source. We are now able to analyze all of our various marketing efforts without the need to learn reporting from various systems.
The SharpSpring platform helped us see which marketing efforts are working. We have quit wasting money on efforts that weren't working as well as we had originally thought and moved the budget to those that are providing the best ROI.
We have pinpointed bottlenecks in our company and implemented actions that resolved these issues which has increased our bottom-line as well as our own customer satisfaction.

Vorteile

SharpSpring offered us a way to implement marketing automation at a price that our business could afford. The features are more than enough for us to compete with companies that are much larger than we are. So the pricing got us to commit, but since then their customer service has proved to be nothing short of spectacular.
The onboarding was laid out for us step-by-step. We have a specialist that we talk to frequently that keeps us on task. When we did hit a snag, support stepped in to resolve it quickly and accurately.
The video training shows click by click what to do and how to do it. An added value is a webinar series on implementation and use.
The platform is modeled in a way that replicates our business model, so our employees found it logical and easy to implement their pieces of the big picture.

Nachteile

It's been working well for us, so it's kinda hard to come up with a dislike, but if I had to pick something it would be the fact that the weekly webinars "SharpSpring at Work" just went from weekly to bi-weekly. The upside is that they are planning at making them more in-depth.

powerful tool

Overall here we are very happy with the tool. We can for both sales and marketing automation. I think it's a wonderful thing to concentrate everything in one place. The biggest difficulty in using the tool is what makes it without magnifica.

Great automation software at a great price!

Sharp Spring allows small business users the same functionality and features of other large automation platforms for a fraction of the cost.

Nachteile

Some of the UI/UX is still a bit clunky and it took some time learning how to set everything up.

Worth every penny

So far this system is really allowing us to see a much clearer picture of the customer journey which in turn helps us to make it better. Really opened our eyes to our sales process

Vorteile

The program has lots of features and the team is continually working to improve the overall system. I really like how it tracks all activities done by the potential client and can customize the user experience by their engagement over time. The smart email feature is probably the most favorite feature of our employees because it makes dealing out information so easy.

Nachteile

It think it still needs some work on the social integration but it sounds like that is about to be released, so I am anxious to see. The email and web page builder takes some time getting use to.

Great Value For Marketing Automation

I use it everyday for my business as well as for clients. If you do online lead generation and marketing and want to be able to track ROI online, this is the tool to use. Great value for your money.

Vorteile

From a price to value ratio, Sharpspring is hands down the best option for marketing automation software. They cater to marketing agencies and offer them great pricing. The interface is clean and easy to use and they add new features each week. Comes with a built-in CRM that is pretty robust and works perfectly with the automation software. Also integrates with Salesforce.

Nachteile

Missing chat capabilities and the landing page builder is pretty bad at the moment but is improving. They also tend to rollout new features before fully working out the bugs in existing features, which can leave you with many features that you don't use.

Small Agency. Big Improvements with SharpSpring

Vorteile

Can really get started quickly. From importing current contacts via CSV to sending those initial contacts an email, it's fast, simple and can bring some great results. Our agency began using SharpSpring in late 2016 after we compared other marketing automation platforms. The pricing structure was just what our growing digital agency needed...not to break our bank, but to allow us to mature and grow and provide awesome automation solutions to our client base.

Our agency doesn't have a sales team, we're just made up of a handful of partners currently, and we're able to nurture new clients and grow our leads into customers all by utilizing workflows and email campaigns. Couldn't grow without SharpSpring.

Nachteile

One thing that comes to mind is SharpSpring is still considered "young" in the MA space. But with all the changes and integrations their dev team is implementing, SharpSpring could "spring" to the top of the list very soon.

Everything a small to med Business needs in a Marketing/CRM platform!

It has helped the Sales team to run successful leads targeted pipeline through the CRM and keep customers updated with nice emails (using dynamic personalisation).
Marketing has been able to use the pre-made email templates to save hours onboarding customers to our Uniform Management portal and build landing pages to complete the prospects' journey investigating us.
The tracking feature has aided Customer service to speedily resolve online issues as they can see what pages they have been on, how they tried to log in, what browser they use etc.

Vorteile

I chose the SharpSpring platform at the beginning of 2018 as it appeared to have anything of value that Hubspot offered for almost half of the annual cost to us.
Aside from a wide range of robust features, they have great support ticketing systems, guides and feature voting system. You may see a lot of reviews against their support but this is because agencies haven't offered their customer's direct support access to SS.
The list builder and automation are very easy to use.
The contact, accounts and opportunities are very straightforward and tracking is so easy through Smart Mail.
Building great emails and landing pages is also straight-forward.

Nachteile

The downsides would have to be their blog builder and social connections. Also being a MArketing lead platform they can be slow to release sales based features (it's my opinion that Sales & Marketing should share platforms for alignment).

Outstanding Support

Very pleasant experience so far. Great service and some keen insights about our audience and site visitors. It's the "leg up" we needed.

Vorteile

Of all the vendors I work with, SharpSpring is probably one of the most responsive, if not #1. As a robust system, SharpSpring has a lot of moving parts. My associate and I are not short on questions. We've been able to go to the account management and tech support teams with virtually any concern or query and they've responded almost immediately (and with a great, friendly attitude).

Nachteile

While the landing page and email templates are faster than building from scratch, the drag and drop builder can be finicky. However, the results are still nice. If you have knowledge of CSS, it will be much easier to get the finished product you want. Overall, however, the strengths of SharpSpring outweigh this small matter.

Things could be better.

I'm a one-person business, I've used the software for about 3 months, in between signing on customers for my digital marketing business that doesn't include SharpSpring and I'm a startup so I really don't have time to learn everything I need to know to sell the system. It would have offered me more trust in the company if they understood the work involved in creating all of the content and trying to deploy it as a single person. The tools are stupendous, love the integration ideas. I think the architecture of the system is sort of convoluted and confusing, it really makes little sense, but you know, you get what you pay for, so having an IT background, I figured it would be no big deal to learn the system. Well, training takes 18 months, at best, to learn the program if you're a one person show. I don't have the budget to continue paying for this while I'm trying to learn it. So, I'm going to sell the license for now and work on learning the system. It really isn't bad, it's just built sort of weird.

Vorteile

The things I like most about SharpSpring are the email build, landing page builder, form builder (sort of), the idea of the content calendar, and the cool thing we can do with social listening. I usually use hashtagify or some other application for social listening so finding out about SharpSpring's ability was cool.

When you have a real problem and you're a vendor, the company really steps up

Nachteile

The content calendar deployment is a joke. Sometimes it will deploy all of the content and some times it won't, it will just deploy pieces. You can schedule emails and social together, I don't dare try that until they fix the application.

The VisualID application isn't much better.

The training could be better, it's all in videos.

We utilize SharpSpring for all our customers needs

We like their support and extended helpfiles. Almost everything has been covered in there.
If we can't find a solution the experienced dev's will help you resolve you problem
Mostly all our client wishes can be implemented with SharpSpring.

Vorteile

Overall everything. We service many clients on Sharpspring and so far all their needs has been utilized in the SharpSpring platform. Mostly we like their integrated retargeting module, native form possibility's.

Nachteile

There is always need for improvement. SharpSpring has a great Feature Request platform for everybody to vote and comment on. Frequently the launch new or improved features suggested by their clients.
What I am missing is the possibility to communicate from different labels. It is possible but you need to request this at the dev's.

Overally, we've been using SharpSpring for a few months and it's exceeded our expectations and we haven't hit any limitations with it. Glad to have a tool where all parts of sales/marketing automation exist and all of our sales/marketing data can be tracked. I'd definitely recommend it to an organization looking to get the most out of their sales/marketing teams.

SharpSpring mimics the best parts of other, more expensive marketing automation platforms like HubSpot, Pardot, Act-On and Marketo. Their UI is better looking than all except HubSpot's, and the tool is just as easy to use. Their CRM migration tool makes it easy to switch from another crm like Salesforce while maintaining custom property and notes data. The visual landing page and email template builders are great to use and really intuitive.

Nachteile

There was a slight learning curve for a few of the tools, but that's to be expected for any new platform. Certain parts of the UI seem a bit old-school with some custom property options labeled as "boolean," "bit," or "text-input," but those are easy to get past. It's actually hard to pin point things that I don't like about SharpSpring.

Powerful and Affordable Marketing Automation Software

SharpSpring has helped us fully integrate all of our digital strategies in one place. It's allowed us to use one platform for web forms, email marketing, landing pages, ppc, social media, etc.

Vorteile

SharpSpring offers a powerful and feature-rich CRM and marketing automation solution that is available for a very affordable price compared to competing platforms. It's relatively easy to use and has a great support team that is quick to help with any issues. Email deliverability with SharpSpring has been better than any other platform due to its strict compliance department. They are constantly adding new features that add additional value. It's also nice that they only have one tier unlike other platforms that have tiered pricing models.

Nachteile

With all evolving platforms, there are occasional bugs. Support is very responsive though and helpful. The landing page editor could definitely be improved as well.

Very responsive and attentive support, overall good experience.

Vorteile

The learning curve was a lot smaller than other softwares. While SS has generally most things that others do, it isn't all in your face at once.

Nachteile

There are definitely lacks in automation that other softwares use. It's getting better, but still not as versatile. Especially with workflows.. email replies aren't a trigger, can't filter by list membership, etc.

Cost Effective Email Automation

Vorteile

The best feature is email automation and forms that allow you to use merge variables and send customized emails to customers and internal staff. Auto responders and custom notifications work well to notify yourself, other team members, and the customer and give custom field information.

We are able to take leads from various sources, keep track of that, and then direct them to our sales team with relevant information to follow up with.

User account levels/restrictions are a feature we utilize to allow people in to the system to see helpful information like the 'Life of the Lead." At the same time, we are able to restrict what they are allowed to see/do with different account types.

Nachteile

By the nature of web/browser based tools, sometimes it can be a bit slow or function weirdly in certain browsers.

Waste product with no good features i would say

There are many as above ....that we found out when we started to use it........i think we don't go much long with this tool. I would suggest go for some established products eventhough they are costly

Lists are built dynamically, content calendar is handy, support is good but not on all issues, that's all i can see

Nachteile

Lets go one by one:
Sales or crm:Cannot create Different sales teams, hierarchy or based on country: we are across the globe, as there is no such feature to create different team and hierarchy its really embarrassing and our sales managers are saying we don't use this tool, they might have given team creation and privacy of the teams leads
Accounts: this is really funny, every one can access all the accounts and even they can go and edit contacts of those accounts
Email sync: this is so funny, some emails gets synced and some don't.......you need to go to support team always and circle back every time
Visitor ID: This really sucks, they cant ban ISP's from their side, no country wise traffic, this is really a useless feature

Marketing: Forms: this feature is a really a headache, as we need to go to each form and enter the different embeded code, I have 800 pages with form, with 40 unique forms, they says i need to go to each form and paste a different unique code on each form and each link(don't you think thats a obstacle in using this product)
Emails template: the funny thing is they gave a default background that doesn't highlight hyperlinks, are a natural look as if sent by a individual, with these default settings your end user can easily find its bulk campaign and spam
Blogs,media,landing pages--------------leave them they are no use
Analytics: this is one more waste feature, eventhough you link this with your adwords/analytics it doesn't show most of the info

#1 - The marketing automation in the platform is powerful
#2 - Unlike some other platforms there is automation within itself such as closing deals changes the contact field.

Nachteile

#1 - The landing page and email builders REQUIRE html and css knowledge to do basic functionality. Our dedicated rep literally told us not to use the landing page builder and to build landing pages somewhere else.
#2 - It is not a simple platform at all. Functions such as tracking link clicks in emails sent out require hours of work to create and track.

Major Deliverability and Customer Service problems

Someone else here has exactly expressed the truth about Sharpspring. Based on my tests, approximately 50% of Sharpspring emails don't get delivered, and their customer service is the pits.

I have stats to prove it, in case they try to claim I'm also a dissatisfied customer who they are going after with collections.

Here are the facts which I've already shared with them myself directly:

We have conducted our own A/B test comparing Sharpspring deliverability to Mailchimp using the *** account. We took the *** email list, arranged it in order by @domain, then alternated A/B for two test groups (we did this in order to split up emails from the same domain). Here is the feedback from our email specialist, who we trained in using SharpSpring:

Here's the head to head comparison. IMO MailChimp clearly does a better job delivering mail b/c the metrics are roughly double SS's across the board.

Clear evidence that their emails are not going through.

Now we have wasted: time to integrate their tool into our code, time to train our staff to use their tool, time to load the emails into their tool, time to dig into whether there is a deliverability problem, and most importantly sales opportunities (and our sales team's time not able to generate leads). Now I've spent all this time to try to get our money back. They have essentially refused, so I have put all their charges in dispute with my credit card company. We were attracted by the price and the feature set, but had no expectation that their tool would utterly fail at delivering emails.

I'm by no means endorsing Mailchimp as a marketing automation tool. There are competitors out there who specialize in this. But in terms of delivering emails, Mailchimp knows what they are doing.

Sharpspring's ethics are questionable, as evidenced by their refusal to refund our money when their tool is failing. If a customer of mine ever had the issues I've been having, I would immediately refund their money, but they have refused. They only give excuses about why they are too busy to get back to me.

By the way, their deliverability engineer straight up told me that they mark emails as delivered when they are not. Don't trust their numbers - do your own tests, like I did.

Great option on the marketing for business growth

It has been a very complete tool, which has allowed generating new practices in daily activities, like automated tracking, not only is marketing automation but also sales automation, pretty complete tool.

Vorteile

A complete tool for the growth of the agency and the clients that we have implemented in certain projects, ease of use and very intuitive, the knowledge base material is quite friendly and with a lot of visual reference (screenshots)

Nachteile

Some limitations with reports, but once the data is exported, no problem to process with business intelligence or reporting tools

The day I went all in on Marketing Automation

I use it daily for my company in prospecting and lead generation - love it

Vorteile

I got my first taste of marketing automation with Hubspot and Marketo when I worked for someone else. So when I went shopping around for what I could offer my clients, I was pretty careful. You read all the reviews and you still worry. Well when I decided on Sharpspring I couldn't have been more pleased. Ease of use and value for the Bang it has been great. Like in all new things to you, I had my moments in the wilderness, of I am not sure what i am doing moments: Sharpspring was always there with support & training. I recommend you give them a try.

Nachteile

Like in all software platforms you have engineers that need to do something. So from time to time they would switch around the dashboard. But it was always for a good reason (inhindsight)

Great first step into Marketing Automation

Using Sharpspring is a lightyears leap forward from your typical ESP. It brings a world of new opportunities typically only found in software packages three times the price. Sharpspring offers and incredible tool and impressive feature set for those just stepping into the world of marketing automation.

For those who already familiar with this world with existing software in place, Sharpspring has the potential to save you a serious amount money. That being said, take some time to fully evaluate your needs (especially if you intend to use the CRM) to be sure that this younger and arguably less refined software package will be able to act as a full replacement to your existing software.

If being used primarily as marketing automation tool only you'll find that Sharpspring plays really well with your existing systems with their Open API as well as Zapier and Salesforce integrations.

In summary...Sharpspring is an incredibly strong contender in it's space. The fact that it can actually be compared to software that is over 3x it's cost is a statement to itself. Whether it will be a complete replacement for your existing software package will come down to your specific usage but if you are just getting into automation Sharpspring is a clear winner at the price point.

The amount of features you get for the price is absolutely unmatched. Their support is also really great now that they have strengthened the team. It used to be that responses took weeks but now I'm seeing replies sometimes in a matter of minutes.

Nachteile

Even though it's cheaper you have a tendency to want to compare it to the big players that have been around for years. Simply put...Sharpspring is just not as refined as some of the options. Although they seem to be rapidly releasing new features to be better contenders it seems that they come packed with a ton of bugs confusion amongst the team.

Great Marketing Automation Without A Huge Price Tag

Overall, it's a good tool if you want to get started with marketing automation but you don't want to pay a lot of money to get started. With templates and support available, it allows you to dip your toes into the basics and set up automation that your business needs without much hassle.

Vorteile

Moving to a smaller company, we needed marketing automation and we found SharpSpring has been easy to use in building lists, workflows and much more. We utilize the built in CRM and we like the month-to-month commitment for SharpSpring as well. They have a lot of templates that make it easy to get started in building landing pages and such. All in all, it cost less than the competitors and didn't have a lot of extra tools our business knew we wouldn't need.

Nachteile

I don't know if I would consider anything about this software awful, but there are slight inconveniences we run into. For example, I've found that sometimes when we're making changes, it can take a couple minutes to update in lists and such. However, for the price we pay and the size of SharpSpring, they don't really bother me.
