Positive Paycom Experience

Vorteile

Paycom is great for Managers on the GO!

We love that our managers can easily clock in/out at any location on their phone. This makes it easy when you work at several locations. Everything is easy to use, use friendly, organized, out team loves it!!

Nachteile

Our only con has been that you have to be able to trust your employees not to abuse the fact that we can clock in and out on our phones, and that they aren't stealing time. But we haven't had this issue.

Payroll Specialist

I really enjoy working with Sentro. He knows the system. Also, he is great at sound boarding learning and problem solving issues.

Vorteile

I really like the knowledgeable support team.

Nachteile

On crunch time (payroll submission time), it takes time to connect with someone. Maybe a lot of people calling in.

Don’t waste your time + money

Hated it. Glad we stopped using it. Waste of time. Waste of money. Still paying for some of the issues.

Vorteile

I liked the initial training with a REAL person to understand how to use the program. The initial contact person was easy to get a hold of, available by text, etc.

Nachteile

There was TOO much in Paycom. And too many things that were unnecessary. I feel like I paid for a full program that I only needed a basic version of.
Having to deal with wire transfers was a pain and expensive.
The many steps just to complete payroll was daunting as well.

Great app for small businesses for payroll

I never really had many issues. Occasional technical difficulties but that’s with any app. But I did like that there was a one stop place for staff to go though learning materials. And payroll was simple.

Vorteile

Navigation was user friendly and training staff was never an issue.

Nachteile

Could have been more time clock features to simplify or have shortcuts to fixing tinder clock errors (copy and paste etc). We do not use paycom anymore so I do not know how the most recent version is. I believe it was more costly for the business and why they decided to switch to another source.

Easy to use across an organization

I'm very happy with Paycom. Just signed up for my benefits a couple of days ago and it took 15 minutes. Updated my banking info, address, emergency contact and a number of other things. Even gave my employees a heads up that their personal time wasn't used and would disappear at the end of the year.

Vorteile

The GUI is very user-friendly. We're very happy with it across the board.

Nachteile

While it is very user friendly, sometimes it takes a few minutes to figure why it was done the was it was. Once I figure out how it's done, I understand why it was set up this way.

Great for small Businesses

Not horrible but not for us being a larger company at the time.

The initial user interface is pretty easy to navigate

Nachteile

The system for us was a little to clunky in how it performed. We had some errors happen upon launch that caused some issues with W2's etc.

Easy to use and great features

The implementation process was not that bad. The implementation team that we had were very knowledgeable and easy to work with. They answered all our questions and were very hands on with the whole process. The system itself is also fairly easy to use once you figure out where everything is. There is a lot the system can do with a lot of nice features; it just depends on what you want to utilize.

Vorteile

We like that we are able to do all the onboarding within the system, so we no longer need to enter the information manually, saves a lot of time. We also like that the employees can put there missed punches and vacation requests right into the system.

Nachteile

The vacation accrual policy was a bit tricky to set up the way we wanted it.

Easy to use system for small businesses

Paycom was very user friendly because it was not a very robust system.

Paycom has very limited reporting capabilities. The system was too antiquated for the size of my company which was growing.

Let's start with the Sales Rep. I have had a favorable experience with all of them over the course of the last 5-6 years. The Implementation Specialist at all employers were knowledgeable, professional, courteous, attentive to the employer needs, accessible, and caring spirit. The Account Specialist, (had several of them), some were more knowledgeable than others, but I still had a wonderful experience with all of them.

Vorteile

All the features. This would be my 3rd implementation with another company.

I have been impressed by all of Paycom's products. I do not have a least favorite.

When nobody else would help..

I'm loving this service, and the customer service team is always on point and available! I would recommend this to any business owner, especially anybody just starting out that doesn't have extensive experience with payroll or business in general. Unfortunately I think it's difficult to have to do the wired transfers every week, I feel like Paycom should have the ability to make this easier on the clients, where most payroll companies allow just routing an account info or a debit card linked, but in a world where nobody else would help me out, I I'm happy to go through those motions and a very appreciative of the service!

Vorteile

Unfortunately, I began adulting a little later on in life, and my credit has a few dings on it which made it difficult to find a company who would give me a shot. Thankfully, Paycom was here for me, and has treated me amazingly. I've had the most wonderful experiences with every team member I've been in contact with, and they took all the time that I needed to teach me about every feature of the service and how to work things out, what to do in different scenarios, and they thoroughly explained everything I needed to know and many things I didn't even think about. I would absolutely recommend this service to anyone!

Nachteile

The only thing that would make this app any easier to use would be an easier payment method.Instead of having to send a wire out every week, I've tried to bring to my bank the "draw down" information, but unfortunately not all banks play nicely with that.. I've had to settle for adding a wire transfer feature to my online banking, which is still an additional expense although less than the total of 4 monthly wires, but I think Paycom should have the capability of taking my account and routing info, or even my business account debit card info, and allowing for payments to be made that way, instead of obligating users to go through the intricate motions of the "Draw Down" (which no banker seemed to know about) or having to go to the bank every week to spend an additional 25$ on a wire 🙃

Best HRIS Platform

I was extremely happy using this platform. The staff also really enjoyed the simplicity of the app. We had staff of all age groups who could navigate the app with ease.

Not my favorite

We switched to paycom from paychex flex because we thought it would be better but their support personal was awful so we switched back to paychex flex.

Vorteile

The app was easy to use and it always logged in easily.

The payroll part of it took our payroll person all day to do payroll.

Why Choose Paycom

Vorteile

The team we have. They are awesome each individual carries a strong knowledge of different aspects of the systems. Our current team goes above and beyond to find a answer for us. Our support is great. My faviorite is the scheduling especially for budgeting purposes. I have worked in HR for many years and worked within many programs and paycom by far has been the easiet to implement and navigate.

Setting up the features after purchasing them I feel like IT at times.

Human Resources

I took over payroll without much training and paycom has always helped me with all my questions and payroll.

They are always there to help. They walk me through step by step.

Nachteile

n/a at this time. If i had to come up with something, it would have to be when I have to wait for someone on my team to return my phone call while trying to get payroll done before deadline.

Paycom Review

We were not overly impressed which is what caused us to leave and look elsewhere

It accomplished what it needed to but was very basic

Nachteile

We didn't have the ability to control a lot of the functionality, it was difficult to work with out Paycom team to get things done, things were often set up incorrectly, the forms were clunky to maneuver around for data, reporting was clunky

Come on! Use Paycom!

It's been good. It was easy to get used to and setting up the app on my phone was fast and easy

Vorteile

It is easy to check on my paystubs, hours, etc. Making corrections is also a breeze with the quick punch

It keeps asking me my location when I use it on my phone.

Go Through a Staffing Agency Instead!!

Vorteile

It can be more affordable compared to other software programs.

Nachteile

Once you get sold on the product and pay your fees the "consultant" disappears, then you're left to figure out this dense accounting system on your own. For extra fees you can get assitance. The software is not user friendly. I would not recommend Paycom. During the paperwork processing after payment I heard from the consultant often and was told he would my direct contact for assistance. Once my paperwork was complete I was switched to another consultant without notice. This consultant was only worried about rushing me to add more services (very abrupt and callous). After declining to add more fees to my monthly payments I was stuck to figure everything out on my own; if I wanted to do that I could have purchased a software WITHOUT a monthly subscription! The reason why I paid Paycom is to have the processing and management of payroll! I didn't receive that.

Transition to Transformation

So far, [sensitive content hidden] have been extraordinary! They go above and beyond to understand our needs and work with their teams to respond with fixes very timely. I've been personally impressed with [sensitive content hidden] in all meetings, as he understands the product, and balancing the client needs and wants very well.

Vorteile

System is intuitive, user-friendly, functionality handles most of our compliance needs, and extremely pleased with the end-to-end Performance Management process that we have been able to build out. This capability enhances our employee experience significantly!

Nachteile

There was a choppy hand-off from our Sales Exec - [sensitive content hidden], to the implementation technical team, which could have been done much more effectively. Promises were made, but working with the implementation team could have been even more seamless, had there been a transition step involved. This was a miss on [sensitive content hidden] end that caused some friction on our end, and caused a delay in implementation.

Vorteile

the sudtomer service is absolutely amazing. We get responses back no longer than and hour. All our questions get answered, or the work through them with us to find the best solutions.

So far we have nothing that is a downside from switching over.

New to Paycom

Very good. The implementation team knew the product very well and responded to questions and emails promptly.

Vorteile

Great implementation team. Very organized. The system is very intuitive and easy to learn. It has the flexibility to do what we need it to do. Very easy to use report writer.

Nachteile

We had a very short period of time to get this implementation done, but that was out choice as we had to switch system rather quicky due to the start of the new year. I will give Paycom credit for keeping us on schedule through the entire implementation process.

Paycom for the win!

Vorteile

The integrated system was a breeze to work with. Managing my staffs' time was easier than with other top-rated software. The staff requests changes and off days through the app or online and the approval/denial/ change process is extremely easy.

Nachteile

With our version, we have a time clock attached, the time clock gave us problems when we set up new employees and I had to call customer service each time. It would not accept the add in however, we found out the time clock itself had an issue and was not functioning as it should have. It was replaced and now functions correctly.

Paycom simplifies payroll processes for our company

Employees will be responsible for their own actions going forward. Our company's cultural flaws have been exposed through Paycom software. It's making us evolve, but in a positive direction.

Vorteile

Your sales representative and the service staff are committed to answering your inquiries and resolving any problems that may arise. I've worked in similar roles with other services before, and they're just not the same.

Nachteile

Since our previous leader left the organization, communication with our new leader has been difficult. No one else was as helpful in guiding me through the steps as he was. Considered myself safe because I had previously used Paycom. I was completely unfamiliar with the Betti component.

Pay com review

over all paycom is alot easier to use then our last system

I can manage my deductions and vacation requests for myself as well as my employees

Nachteile

when my employees work a shift that goes into the next day and work over say like 12 hours is a little challenging getting the system to realize its not a mistake or missed punch

Vorteile

I have been with two companies now that have switched to Paycom and would recommend this to any company struggling with their payroll process. The customer service has been excellent and the outcome for our employees has been exceptional.

Nachteile

The biggest challenge is getting our employees onboard with change. Once we sold to them the importance of this change and they were able to see this, it was smooth sailing for us all.

Paycom staff don't know their own software to be able to address customer issues

Below average on a good day. Send 10 emails and no one can help or acts like they want to help.

Vorteile

Reports are pretty good and useful. But you have to train yourself.

Nachteile

Customer service is poor. Software is clunky and tons of stuff you don't need.
Hope you never need to have an issue fixed. Not one person there knows anything other than to
try and upsell you something you don't need.

Paycom optimizes human resources in one place

It stands out for its single system perspective, which offers an all-in-one solution that manages the entire lifecycle of workers. This approach has proven to be very effective and helps to avoid inconsistencies. Its usability, reporting capabilities and self-service access has taken the pressure off the human resources department. It offers a highly reliable program to manage payroll, which is highly customizable. With this we can handle complex scenarios regarding salaries, deductions and benefits with ease.

Vorteile

Its interface is simple to use, which helps both the administrator and the worker. The system is natural and guides the user through different phases. It offers only a single program that makes it possible to manage the entire employee life cycle, from hiring to retirement. This really supports the end of the need for multiple systems, which can generate inconsistencies and errors in the information. This is the most admirable feature that I have personally appreciated because it reduces the amount of work we have. It lets employees manage how they enroll their names in personal information benefits, as well as attendance and time. This decreases personnel resources and also empowers workers.

Nachteile

The mobile version does not offer the same capabilities as the desktop version. It costs more money compared to other methods of personnel management and resource management. Very little customization is offered, especially in the area of reporting. The transformation to a new method is likely to be a drawback, I have experienced difficulties during the implementation stage, consisting of difficulties with data transmission.

Never go to Paycom.

It is there way, only there way, no flexibility. They have a good product but hold you hostage. No customer service to help you. It is all about money with them. Billing had so many hidden fees it was not funny.

The worst customer service a company could ever have. It gets even worse if you leave them. This company is only about money. Once your in they don't help you. Their billing is non-tranparent. They could not even explain why they charged what they did when you received a bill. We had a billing discrepency and when we asked them about it they emailed what it should be. We asked them to come in for a meeting and the bill was not $18,000 more than what they emailed. They could not explain it.

Paycom is a lifesaver

Overall I love paycom. The ease of use and customer service is great!

Vorteile

The setup team was so easy to work with and helped when we got stuck. They really worked with our team to get everything set up the way we need it to work.

Nachteile

We are still working out a few issues with the implementation team. The team that sold us on all of the functions of Paycom and the implementation team must not have shared notes. There are things that we were looking for that were not set up the way we were told, so are now we are waiting for their team to get things set up correctly.

Some of the report features are confusing and difficult to find the right report for what I need.

A Game Changer

I highly recommend it to any organization looking to give their employees easier and more convenient access.

Vorteile

The user interface is incredibly intuitive and user-friendly. From clocking in and out to accessing pay stubs and tax documents, everything is neatly organized and easy to find.

One of the best features is the mobile app. It allows me to manage my time, request time off, and even access HR resources on the go. This flexibility has made a significant difference.

Beware of Cost and other claims

We have had a bad experience with Paycom. They are a petty, unethical company. The salespeople do not accurately represent the costs of the system. Paycom over billed us by $100K in the first 12 months of the contract because they put the “wrong” rates in. Shame on us for not noticing this sooner, but when we did they would only pay us back $75K over 3 months! They said $25K of the disputed amount we “signed” up for. The implementation was also sloppy as many of the integrations that they had promised were not working. It was a revolving door of consultants trying to help us. I will give them credit for having a good mobile app and marginally better reporting, but if you are with ADP or UKG, think twice about switching. I am happy to talk about my experience.

Paycom improves by unifying the tasks of the HR team

Because with Paycom, we are able to maintain HR compliance in today's complex business environment. We trust them with some of our most sensitive employee data because of the way their platform has evolved and progressed over time.

Vorteile

Paystubs, upcoming payments, and requests for accrued vacation time are all easily accessible. This is also used on a daily basis for employee time tracking and the administration of company records relating to salary and benefits.

Nachteile

The app's interface can be confusing to new users who haven't watched a tutorial video. Clocking in only works when we are directly linked to the firm's wifi, which is annoying, but may have been intentional on the part of the organization.

Everything you need in one app

Vorteile

I really appreciate having an app that has all of my scheduling, payroll, and tax information in one place. Everything is laid out well and seems intuitive.

Nachteile

It's a little too easy to accidentally choose the wrong punch type.
