Since the implementation of Booksy, we have automated the entire operating system of the salon so that the organization of the agenda of the staff, is done much more efficiently and effectively, additionally have increased our levels of productivity, in addition to customer satisfaction, as they should not wait long to be served, another fundamental aspect is the generation of alert and notifications that keeps active the group of stylist and hairdressers. Booksy is a platform for scheduling appointments, is very easy to use and configure, does not require learning curve, is also very complete, has a self-service portal built so that your customers can self-manage and make the reservation in the agenda with the professional of their choice, additionally, provides other benefits such as: staff planning, real-time scheduling and automated appointment management, point of sale (POS) and a powerful marketing and loyalty tool. - Like most payment providers, we do have processing fees, but ours are lower than many other booking platforms. There’s no ongoing fee for using our payment features, unlike some of our competitors.

Booksy for my Nail Salon
I enjoy using Booksy Biz for easy scheduling of clients for my salon. The pricing is ok but I don't really enjoy paying fees on each transaction. It is on par with the credit card machine and most people don't use cash so, it is what it is. It's definitely worth it for everything it offers for streamlining alot of business.

The fees on my transactions are the only thing I don't likeabout Booksy but it is definitely worth it as every CC machine comes with transaction fees.

It has been great, me and my team love Booksy and since we started using it everything has been more easy going for us and the clients.

The thing i like most about Booksy is how easy and user friendly it is for my clients. How they can book at any time they want and see my availability and my teams available spots.

HORRIBLE SERVICE
I had a terrible experience with Booksy. Customer service was so unhelpful and slow to respond when I encountered big issue.
The thing is anyone can create a fake free account using my name and address and set prices lower than mine. When I asked to delete those accounts support asks me to send them some papers to confirm that it's my account and they don't remove fake accounts! When asked to be connected to a manager, they say "he will call you back" but no one ever does. Horrible service and I am losing clients and money because of fake accounts. This is illegal!
Overall, I would not recommend using Booksy until they improve their app and customer support significantly.

Not impressed with support

Somewhat similar to Genbook. Still trying to learn and navigate my way around.

The support! I previously had Genbook for 6 yrs, and had to switch over to Booksy because they are combining. With making the change I had to verify my bank account to receive online payments to protect from no shows. Apart of the process is uploading a bank statement with my account number and bank logo. My account can’t be verified so I’m blocked. I reach out to support and they tell me wait 24 hours. Okay I do, still blocked. Then I reach out again, I need to upload a bank statement again. So I have. At this point I can’t tell you how many times I’ve uploaded my bank statement and checks to prove I am the account holder. I reach out to support trying to get help and I get left with no help. I call support in the phone. Talked to one gentleman who heard my frustration and said he would try pushing the matter with who ever is in charge of verification. Nothing happens still blocked. I reach out to support again through chat, the person I talked to didn’t help me at all. Would tell me he’ll be right back and contacted me the next day saying the same thing, I need to upload bank statements and to let him know when I did. I followed instructions to later receive a message from him “ thanks for reaching out, if you need any further assistance don’t hesitate to reach out to support” and the chat was ended. Once again, no help. I called support again, no one was available, I tried to even cancel my subscription and no one was available for me to talk to.

Almost Non-Existant Customer Service or Follow Through
Horrible. I'm guessing their software was ok... I was told at one point that someone from their support team would call me to go over the software features, but it's been almost 6 months and that hasn't happened. I'm just astounded that a company, who is there to help people like me run a business, which is my livelihood, would completely drop the ball and LITERALLY SHUT DOWN THEIR PHONE SUPPORT.

I had an account originally with Genbook (which I loved). They were bought out by Booksy. The only positive thing I can say is that they were able to transfer everything from Genbook to Booksy, so I didn't have to re-create any services.
Nachteile
I literally could not get ANYONE on the phone to help when my account was migrated from Genbook. They completely... and I mean COMPLETELY... shut down their phone support. The absolute only option for support was their chat feature, and most of the time I had to wait days for a response, and one time I literally waited WEEKS for a response. There was no option to start a new chat conversation... I was just stuck with no answers, when trying to run my business.

Don't believe all those glowing reviews -- terrible online support and impossible to cancel.
Shop around! There's so many better booking sites out there with far better support and who won't try to make it impossible for you to cancel your subscription.

It's pretty straightforward as far as scheduling softwares go, but there's so many to choose from that are simple to use and have way better support.

I was using Genbook when it was bought by Booksy. I spent a fair amount of time working with the Booksy platform but there were numerous things that I didn't like about it that made me decide to switch to a different scheduling platform. That's when the real trouble began. First, they took down the account access page that would let you cancel your account online. So I called and got a nice young woman but she couldn't understand English well enough to get my email address correct to look up my account; then she said she was transferring me to someone else and disconnected me. So, I tried using their chat function even though when I was working with their platform, that had always been really REALLY SLOW... like they sometimes wouldn't respond for 45 minutes. Again, that happened. So I emailed them. Not expecting a response their either; so am going to cancel payment through my bank.

Its Hard to teach an old barber new tricks!
I get people who look me up on booksy. People will find you and you will begin to develope a following after great reviews. People who move to las vegas are new to the Valley. They need a barber . They find me on Booksy. In thier area. Booksy pulls it up. Experience 2 to 3 people a week that i normally wouldnt have gotten if not for booksy. It truly pays for itself if you get just 1 new person a month from of Booksy.

It was Simple! The software was easy to maneuver around on my android. It frees my hands up and my time . Which is a valuable thing in the barber industry . Book and keep moving. Love.it.

This wouldn't fall under the category of dislike necessarily! But, it would be nice to have some picture or photo of what the person looks like. Walking into a busy shop. There have been times that person walks in the shop and I can not identify them. They sit. If I could have an IDEA or better idea of the person of their hair height and photo ..something. Uber does it. Technology takes away the personal connection. Late nights in my shop to open a barbershop door to whomever that booked on booksy. Let me see your face before i open the door to the shop. Or get into a strange vehicle for a ride home.. with a stranger... GETIT. MAKE IT MANDATORY TO UPLOAD A PICTURE ON 1ST VISITS. I THINK THAT WOULD BE AWESOMEEEE...THANKS FOR LISTENING.

Payouts issue - disappointing
I am experiencing issues with registering my account for payouts since September 2022.I have provided Booksy with my Revolut details for payouts and as per error of one their employees I have been accepted even though they don’t allow Revolut for payouts.My customers have been charged for £160 worth of services and I can’t claim my money back from you due to this error.I have been informed by Booksy that I should provide ANY bank details with my name on it so as I work 7 days a week and banks require lots of paperwork it took me over 2 months to do it.FINALLY I thought I will get my money but what do I hear???? I can’t use my personal details because my business is LTD!Twice i have been misled by this joke of a Company that claim your money and don’t provide you with a solution for their own errors. They don’t value Customers who pay them regularly for 2 years, I even offered to process my payments for Booksy subscription and they said NO.Absolutely disgraceful

I want GenBook back

The presentation and pos system. It has a very clean look.
Nachteile
I am a shop owner. My clients can not book with their preferred barber easily. If I am booked out. Booksy automatically books them with a free barber. This has cause major problems in my shop. My can’t even see the full calendar. They have to search hard for my next availability. I can’t even book my clients standing appointments. I’m very upset and looking for another alternative.

Definitely the best tool to book your haidresser!
Perfect! The mobile app works amazing and I can't imagine using another tool. Good job Booksy team!

I use this tool daily to book hairdressers, groomers, barber,s and beauticians. It works perfectly for me as I can choose time and place and price or reschedule and I don't have to call each place every time.

Not all the places are available at Booksy, but I hope it's only a matter of time. Apart from that everything works well for me!

Where is their support staff?
I was forced over to this product when GenBook was purchased. The support is terrible. It takes at least an hour to get a response from the chat, and sometimes, I get NO response even by the next day. Their online videos are useless to a new user who is just trying to switch over. Everything seems focused on salon usage, which is not how I use it.

I have no idea where or how to find the features I am used to. Documentation is lacking.

Decent booking app, but not without its problems
Booksy does a decent job with what it is supposed to do - finding and booking services and business, scheduling appointments and making sure you attend them. But it has a lot of scope for improvement with regards to user experience.
Vorteile
It is easy to find good places for discount - salons, spas, hairdressers etc. I can just go on Booksy to book an appointment. Sometimes I tend to forget when I scheduled an appointment, but Booksy has timely reminders. Scheduling and keeping track of appointments is done very well.
Nachteile
No option to confirm booking, which took me a lot of confusion and time to figure out. They have videos for new users, but those are just generic and doesn;t answer most of the questions. Customer support is also poor and takes a long time to receive response. I've also noticed that users can leave reviews of businesses even if they did not show up for an appointment, which seems unfair from a business perspective.

Soyez VIGILANT! Service client déplorable. J’ai souscrit à un abonnement chez booksy, au bout de 4 jours je décide de me rétracter car je souhaitais finalement aller chez Planity. Quelle fut ma surprise lorsqu’il m’ont dit que dans le contrat signé aucune rétractation n’était possible. Je leur dis alors que c’est dans la loi et ils m’affirment jusqu’au bout que non. Je décide finalement d’envoyer quand même un recommandé avant les 14 jours expirés pour résilier mon abonnement. Finalement du jour au lendemain il me coupe mon abonnement et donc mon accès à mon fichier client et mon agenda. N’étant pas préparé j’ai été dans l’obligation de de resouscrire de nouveau pour accéder à toutes mes informations.
Lorsque je leur demande pourquoi mon abonnement a été coupé, on me répond que c’est suite à ma demande de résiliation. Je leur dis alors que les 14 jours de rétractation sont donc bien possibles. Puis ils me disent que finalement il s’agit d’un beug technique.
Permettez moi d’en douter.
Pratiques commerciales, déloyales et mensongères. Depuis le début ils me menacent d’engager des poursuites judiciaires contre moi si je fais opposition sur mon compte bancaire.
Autre chose il y’a deux mois, une commerciale s’est engagé verbalement auprès de moi à me laisser partir à l’issue des deux mois suivant ma souscription si je ne changeais pas d’avis. Bien sûr tout cela avant la fin de la période de rétractation. Maintenant elle me dit que ce n’est plus possible.
En plus de cela l’application beug constamment, mes clientes ne reçoivent pas les messages 24 h avant.

NUL… PERTE D’ARGENT ET DE TEMPS !
Plate-forme de prise de rendez-vous incomplète, lorsqu’on travaille et cible les professionnels la plate-forme doit être à la hauteur et tout aussi professionnelle ce qui n’est pas le cas avec booksy. Malheureusement j’ai décidé de travailler avec booksy car c’est le moins cher sur le marché hors c’était une mauvaise décision. Je dois gérer tous les problèmes car booksy est incapable de le faire. J’ai décidé de faire confiance au plate-forme de prise de rendez-vous pour gagner du temps, ne pas gérer mes propre rendez-vous et travailler sereinement, sauf que je perds un temps fou, de l’énergie et de l’argent… j’ai mis une protection contre les absences, et demande un pré paiement sauf que à chaque mise à jour de la plate-forme cette protection saute et les clients réservent des rendez-vous sans régler ce prepayment, et peuvent ne pas se présenter à leur rendez-vous au mois de janvier j’ai perdu plus de 600€ et après avoir contacté le service client médiocre de booksy. Ils m’ont fait comprendre que ce n’était pas leur soucis et n’allaient pas me rembourser mais j’ai malgré tout insisté ils m’ont offert mois d’abonnement ce qui correspond a 49€ (49€ que je précise ne rembourse absolument pas les 600€ perdu) une nouvelle mise à jour en février, j’ai effectué ce qui était demandé j’ai contacté le service client qui a confirmé au téléphone que tout est bon et qu’il n y aura aucun soucis. Aujourd’hui dimanche 17 mars 2024, je me réveille et me rendez compte que depuis quelques jours les clients prennent rendez-vous sur booksy sans régler ce prepayment, je dois donc annuler tous les clients et leur demander individuellement de reprendre un nouveau rendez-vous (ce que je pense qu’ils ne feront pas tous) mais pour se faire, je vais devoir attendre la fin du week-end pour contacter booksy et leur demander de gérer ce problème de prepayment une nouvelle fois. Je vais malheureusement devoir recommencer les recherches pour trouver un autre logiciel de prise de rendez-vous, recommencer à zéro ! Quelle perte de temps!!!! Ne passez pas par booksy si vous souhaitez travailler sereinement.

En tant qu'agence, j'ai accompagné une cliente pour créer un compte sur cette plateforme ... Quelle erreur !
Ça vous coutera plus chère que ce que cela vous rapporte : pas de rdv même avec une fiche ultra fournie, une centaines de services, etc
Quand il y a des rdv : les clients ne se présentent pas (malgré leur soi-disant fonctionnalité contre les no-show)
Bref : je recommande à tous les instituts de fuire cette solution.
Aussi bien pour des raisons d'organisation, de communication, de facturation, de comptabilité, de relation client et surtout de support !
Bref : cette solution est une HONTE !
Pour vous vendre la solution : il y a du monde.
Après coup : plus rien.
À tel point que si vous ne donnez pas de nouvelle à leures relances commerciales pendant 2-3 mois, vous vous retrouvez bloqué par vos contacts en interne ! Plus de réponse aux messages whatsapp, email, etc
Par contre, ça continue à débiter...
Pour la garantie contre les rdv "no-show" : une catastrophe aussi.
La compta : une catastrophe - aucune connaissance des règles et lois sur la comptabilité en France
L'organisation du calendrier : ZERO - aucun moyen de connecter votre calendrier Goole sans un systeme sur-mesure automatisé avec une intelligence artificielle (merci de laisser le soin à vos clients de payer ce type de solution !)
L'export des fichier client : ZERO - lisez bien les CGV avant de signer : booksy s'accapare vos clients et en prime vous ne pourrez pas les exporter comme il se doit (obliger de faire copier-coller à la main, pas d'export possible : pourtant ces clients sont-ils ceux de booksy et pas les votres ? Long débas, à voir ce qu'en dit la CNIL et la DGCCRF)

booksy est une catastrophe. Je ne recommande cette solution à aucun institut ou salon.

Muy buena opción, incluso permite que el cliente cuando vaya a reservar pueda hasta escoger el profesional que le vaya a atender.
Vorteile
En mi caso considero que para iniciar está muy bien, permite llevar bien la organización de las citas, la base de datos de los clientes, los cobros de los servicios con varias formas de pago, está muy bien.
Nachteile
Lo que no me gusta mucho es la forma de confirmación de citas, para mí no la tiene, creo que sería muy positivo si ayudara a enviar notificaciones de recordatorio a los clientes que reservan citas ya sea por sms o por correo electrónico.

Great on the inside but outside could use a little work

Booksy is super easy to use on the business side of things. It takes just a couple of minutes to set up and then you're good to go, customers can book their own appointments based on your availability.
Nachteile
I didn't experience this myself, but customers kept complaining about the interface being clunky, I had people go to my website and email saying "please can I just make an appointment without going through that website." Definitely not what you want in a system!

Facilidade, praticidade, design intuitivo e bom funcionamento, depois de quase usando o app como um consumidor final, recomendo a plataforma. Marco os meus agendamentos de qualquer lugar, quando a agenda de uma loja está cheio, consigo encontrar outra loja mais próxima, já agendo os horários direto do celular e ainda sou notificado quando está próximo do horário marcado.
Nachteile
Não é uma crítica, mas apenas uma dica de uma possível melhoria. Quando o barbeiro não estar disponível para reserva de horário, não aparecer o ícone do mesmo. Isso pode gerar confusão para o usuário final.

O booksy me ajuda a agendar compromissos em diversos locais, ainda me traz lembretes, sem dúvida é um ótimo app.
Vorteile
Eu conheci o booksy através do meu cabelereiro, sempre o uso para agendar meus cortes, e acho uma ferramenta sensacional, fácil de usar e bem construída para essa finalidade. Além de tudo isso me ajuda a lembrar desses compromissos atraves de alertas, isso pra quem tem uma rotina cansativa é excelente.

Makes booking haircuts simple
Overall I have had a very positive experience. My bookings have always gone through without issue.
Vorteile
Booksy makes it very easy for me to book my haircut appointments. It shows all the available days and times that my barber is free.
Nachteile
I wouldn't say there is anything I dislike about Booksy, however it could be nice to have a request feature. For example, sometimes my barber works overtime so it could be useful to request an appointment in case they are able to cut my hair outside of regular hours.

Disappointed with takeover of Genbook
Booksy took over Genbook quickly with very little warning. They did NOT make sure they had the same features in place before this, which made the transition challenging for clients as well as practitioners. They still have not added the features we needed. At a minimum I wish they would have made sure they could offer the same simple features of Genbook before the takeover.
Vorteile
They integrated my customers and reviews from Genbook when they purchased it. This was convenient... that said, many other things since have been a nightmare.
Nachteile
There are no options to send repeat or automatic reminder to clients. They collect client information and encourage them to sign up for "booksy" to get an appointment. Clients have a lot of trouble making appointments, often get frustrated, then reach out by email anyway. There are no options for resource management, room management, or group classes. There is no option to show the "buffer" time set on the calendar; this allows practitioners to accidentally overbook themselves, we worked around this by adding time on to the appointment time, but then clients contact us and ask if their session is actually 30 minutes longer than expected.

Booksy seems to be too understaffed and overwhelmed to be as effective as it can
I hate the fact that I'm stuck using this awful company (if I jumped ship I would lose the hundereds of reviews that I had amassed while I was using Genbook). Booksy clearly got greedy by acquiring a competitor and instead of boosting up its staffing to handle the numerous bugs in its software as well as the influx of all the new customers from the competitor, they choose to go cheap with keeping its domestic staff lean (which I'm sure is terrible for morale) and contracting with ill-trained overseas customer support who are essentially useless when it comes to addressing the very real flaws in its system.
Vorteile
Good effort that they offer videos and webinars to help users navigate how to use Booksy. Too bad that those videos and webinars tend to be general and vague, and when there are specific questions and issues (or problems we run into that we point out) they are simply not addressed. I like that someone from Booksy reached out to me as a new customer after being migrated from Genbook to help me with my questions, but that was only for a period of a month and now that there are still ongoing questions and issues I need help with that person no longer responds. I know that it is due to the fact that the staffer is constantly being given new accounts as the old ones "age out" but it is indicative of how this business prioritizes profits from account volume rather than maintaining a robust, unassailable product with good customer service.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Booksy touts offering support by phone (except they are so short staffed that the wait time is interminable), email (response rate is about several weeks), and 24/7 chat (response rate several hours for a reply, and oftentimes the overseas support person is not equipped to provide an answer or solution and when that is the case then they just ghost the conversation. Here is an example of a typical exchange. Me: Please help me w/ this problem accessing the waitlist, namely the fact that there does not seem to be one period. Booksy: The waiting list works so that it is only displayed if there is at least one free slot in business. Please check if the slot is available, then it should be working fine! Me: What do you mean that the waiting list works only so that it is only displayed if there is at least one free slot in business? The whole point of the waiting list is so that if all the slots are currently booked, whoever is on the waitlist is notified if the slot they want becomes available. Please explain b/c Booksy's waitlist does not make sense to me. Booksy: no response

Over Charged My Bank Account

AWFUL!!!!
This app has overcharged my bank account several times. I have tried to contact them several times and they will not get back with me. I have emailed them, called them and no response. I have been very patient. Still no response. Not even the [SENSITIVE CONTENT] will respond to me. Just shows the business ethic on their end and the lack of compassion towards the hairdressers that pay them to have their service. We as hairdressers are extremely busy. They billed me on the third of this month and then again on the 11th for $29. They also charged me $29 for messaging which I opted out of when I first got the app but they charged me anyway. So BEWARE OF THIS APP AND THE CHARGES!
I have tried to erase my bank information and all other personal information, it will not let me erase my information. So now I have to call the bank and change bank cards.
This is a HIGE HASSLE when I tried to be patient and nice about this on going issue for MONTHS!
When you call you get blown off to the app chat line or asked to email them! COWARDS if you ask me!! Quick to take your money 💴 but hide when they make a mistake in taking too much mistakenly!

Booksy Review
My overall experience with Booksy has been great. It’s a great price for the features it offers and it makes running my business easier for me. Not to mention my clients also like how easy it is to use.
Vorteile
What I like and appreciate most about this software is the mobile access, appointment scheduling, and confirmation/reminders. These are some of the main things about this software that makes it easy not only for me, but for my customers to use.
Nachteile
I do feel calendar sync could be improved. I do like this feature, but I’ve had issues with my appointments not being on my calendar even though someone would schedule their appointment.
