Could be good depending on organizational need

Overall very good - many members of the business use the software and have found it to be easy to use and meet their recruitment needs.

Lever makes the end-to-end recruitment process easy. From adding an open position through to reviewing applications, filtering candidates, communicating with candidates and ultimately making the hire.
Lever enables you to review CVs received within the software and enables a frictionless process when recruiting. It also provides a front-end product which can be used for internal and external vacancies. The layout of the job listings is clear and straightforward.

With a high number of candidates it can sometimes be different to sort in an efficient manner.

Lever provided us with an effective strategy for recruiting the best talent. The automation of Lever made it easy to job postings and receive applications, while the sorting and filtering capabilities eliminated the need to manually review resumes and applications. Additionally, Lever documented all interview and evaluation procedures transparently.

Our organization has found Lever to be the perfect talent acquisition solution. Lever provides intelligent functionality and automation that simplifies its usage, allowing us to easily create, edit, and publish job postings and experiences across various social media platforms, notably LinkedIn. Lever's automation feature guarantees that no suitable candidate is overlooked by automatically sorting through applications. I especially appreciate that Lever allows us to manage all stages of recruitment, share feedback and ratings about candidates transparently, and automatically document all updates on the candidate's page.
Nachteile
It's not too complicated, especially since the customization capabilities are excellent. I just hope that some restrictions are removed so we can add grades/marks during the quick review process for a large list of applicants.

Implementation was too easy!
Tom was our implementation specialist and he was awesome to work with, made every step of the way extremely easy and we wrapped this up very quick.
Vorteile
I have been using Lever for years and I wanted my new company to start using it instead of Greenhouse. The functionality is easier to use and it makes the day to day flow effortlessly with our TA team.

There are some features it is lacking that I hope they release very soon, it would make our lives a lot easier

Super Smooth Lever Implementation
Vorteile
[sensitive content hidden] provided THE BEST implementation experience. Migrating over to Lever came at a time when there was not a lot of time to devote to implementation projects, but he made the work feel managable, possible, and always a team effort. The layout of the implementation was always concise and clear, with all questions always answered with confidence and context. He was also always a joy to speak to and I always looked forward to the meetings. I couldn't recommend him enough.
Nachteile
If I had to nit pick, it would be the inability to customize interview buckets for each role.

Great ATS for the value and does it's job with reporting/sourcing and candidate management
Vorteile
I think the ease of use is great with Lever, able to have hiring manager review / move candidates along while using the reporting aspect of it to showcase your work.Also the integration part is great as it can integrate with various platform like Hired.com, HireEZ, and of course GEM for sourcing.
Nachteile
Not much except there's too much updates or info coming from Lever. I wish they could lower their noise with updates and notification.

Easy to Deploy
I've had a good experience with Lever for multiple years, at my last and current company. Once you know how to manipulate items in the system.
Vorteile
Lever is easy to implement and get off the ground. The implementation only took a week or so starting with no ATS to begin with. Operates like a salesforce esq platform, sales and marketing typically find it easier to use than other teams.
Nachteile
Data and reporting has been up and down. They updated reporting recently and I've had some issues with it, hoping they rework it in the future.

Does the job on the budget. If you have $ go with a more expensive one.
Overall 4/5. There are things that I would change but as I said it does the job. At the end of the day, it is all a question of your usage, your team, the scale of the business, and ofc your budget. Lever is a great solution if you have a small team under 10 recruiters, company size under 1k, and a small budget to operate with. If you know how to run scrappy and get things done, Lever is a solid choice.
Vorteile
Simple.Intuitive. Extremely easy to onboard new recruiters and get them up to speed. All the basic functionality to run a quick process is there. Not expensive - for the price point I would say delivers a lot of value.
Nachteile
Not innovative. They accept feedback - but nothing gets implemented. Even simple things that should take no time. I wish they were listening to the customers who are using the product every day - we want to help and make Lever better.

Simple and effective, cost is affordable for growing organizations, and the way they price it based on employee count and not on a per-seat basis.
Nachteile
Reporting can be better, LinkedIn integration is a work in progress.

Lever is a Great ATS for Any Start-up!
Over the last 9 years I've used Lever, Greenhouse, Workable, Taleo, Breezy, and Jobvite. Lever is hands-down my number 1 pick for its ease of use, its user interface, countless integrations, and efficient workflow. Lever has also been improving their reporting and analytics making their software a perfect fit for any start-up from a 10 person pre-series A to a 400 person series D/E company.
Vorteile
Lever was easy to implement (I had it up and running in less than 24 hours), the career page can be integrated with your current website quickly, the scorecards are fully customizable, and the ATS does a nice job at tracking candidates throughout the process.
Nachteile
At the moment, a user cannot edit the interview stages without submitting a ticket to Lever. I hope they change this in the near future.

Data driven and dedicated
Vorteile
We have used Lever for over 2 years, rolled out in countries across and globe and trained hundreds of hiring managers to use the system for feedback and reviewing applications. We initially chose Lever for its data and analytics, which have allowed us to automate reports and KPIs for teams in all our markets. The system is user friendly, and tools like Lever Nurture and Recommendations can help recruitment teams to find and attract more talent.
Perhaps the best thing about choosing Lever is the team behind it. The system itself has rolled out many new features (requisitions, approval flows, restricting access to view sensitive information) after carefully considering feedback and suggestions, which are critical for scaling and management for large orgs. The support team is incredibly responsive to any issue and the product team is open to feedback and as transparent as possible about upcoming changes.
The customer success team really goes above and beyond to understand and work through client concerns and helps to find innovative solutions to most issues. If you choose Lever and are lucky enough to work with rep - you've struck gold. I don't think I've worked with someone more focused on client satisfaction, able to make tough discussions enjoyable, and who really advocates for his clients.
Nachteile
While Lever is growing rapidly and adopting more large global clients, there still seems to be a dominance of focus on US tech startups - for example in the Partner Integrations or in offer templates (multiple options for equity and vesting options) but complex package structures can require significant customisations, which can require additional work for enterprise clients.
The biggest hurdle to adopting Lever as a global enterprise solution has been concerns around data privacy of candidates and employees as it stores all data only on servers in the US. From a security standpoint, this is worrying, has made it harder to get buy in to roll out in other markets, and delayed several implementations. If you want to consider candidates outside the US, particularly in Europe and Emerging markets, it means significantly more time and checks with Legal, Compliance, and Security departments. There is also the fair concern that non US candidates may be discouraged from sharing their data if wary of surveillance and privacy rights - which are major concerns and considerations in other markets. Investing in data centres in locations that focus on protecting data privacy would make it easier (and safer) to roll out and use as a true enterprise tool.

Smooth, easy, and frustration free
I used Lever for years at RedOwl (but was not involved in the implementation) and implemented it here at Cybrary. It has had an immediate positive impact. I have recommended it to friends in the past from a user's perspective and now that I've gone through deploying/implementing it, I only feel that much stronger and more positive about your product and recommending it.
Vorteile
Having the implementation plan and scheduled checkins with cust support has helped a lot in getting me to focus on the right things at the right time. Lever does a great job at striking the balance between "highly configurable" and ready to use out of the box: most of what we need is pre-configured properly (making deployment easy) and the fact that most things are configurable/customizable is great (making it easier to tweak those things where we need to deviate from "norm").
Cust support rep was great and answered many questions that went beyond Lever features/functions/configurations. I enjoyed working with him and he was very helpful -- as the VP of Engineering, "HR" isn't exactly my wheelhouse. He took into account our specific needs and suggested best practices that took into account other considerations (e.g. legal).
Nachteile
As you are aware, it would be great if EasyBook was more of a global feature. It would be great if a coworker could use the links and email templates I configured. Also I wish schedules could be modified by the people being scheduled rather than just by the owner of the link. Finally, consider treating "Tentative" or "Maybe" as Accepted/Busy on calendars (or making that more configurable); there have been a couple of race conditions on scheduling phone screens: Developer is invited to a planning meeting but has not yet accepted and then gets booked for a conflicting phone screen.
Archive reasons should have long descriptions/reminder text/instructions in the app. For example, we "stole" Lever's "Wrong Motivations" archive reason but I'm sure that folks are not clear on what that means and when to use it. It would be great to have reminders/instructions in-app to help folks pick the best one.

RLL = Recruiters Love Lever
Vorteile
Lever is a very intuitive product, and takes the recruiting efforts of any organization to the next level. The interface is extremely user friendly, and helps streamline candidate experience. Their Customer Success team is amazing, and they are always willing to go above and beyond for their clients.
I first came across Lever when I was leading recruiting efforts at a startup called Bluecore. I was all but settled on selecting Greenhouse as our ATS, not because I thought it was better than Lever, but simply because Greenhouse was the ATS that I heard the most buzz about. Before pulling the trigger, though, I decided it would be a good idea to see what else was out there, and at least take a look at another option or two. I reached out to my Recruiter network, and my buddy at Foursquare mentioned to me that they were using Lever, and that he really liked it. I set up a demo, and the rest is history. Lever knocked the demo out of the park, and I have had an amazing relationship with the company since.
When I eventually left Bluecore to become the Director of Talent at Docurated, I made sure during the interview process that I would be able to bring Lever with me. The product is continuously improving, and I look forward to being a part of the ride.
Nachteile
I don't really have anything negative to say about Lever, as I am a big proponent of all of it's functionalities. If I had to pick something, I would suggest that Lever start working with more job posting sites to enhance it's capabilities on the frontend. Blasting out job postings to Indeed and other top job sites, besides for just Glassdoor and LinkedIn (I think you can only do this if you purchase job posting slots from these sites), would be awesome. Right now I am using Built In NYC in additional to Lever to ensure I get the most bang for my buck in regards to driving inbound candidate flow.

New rollouts
Lever used to be a great program with lots of features, they just ruined it with the new roll out.

Merging had been disabled. We can no longer join new and old profiles into one profile.
New and existing profiles - we are no longer notified if a candidate may be a duplicate. Have you ever spoken with a candidate only to find out that they where not a good fit before?
Emails do not sync properly - Gmail will not be delivered if sent through Lever. We have found that we must copy and paste the email template to Outlook in order for the recipient to even receive the email. This has been going on for almost year.
Emails Part 2 - Entire threads of email conversations do not appear in Lever. They are missing so again we have to cut & paste entire conversations to place in the profile.
INDEED Candidates - These candidates must be forwarded into Lever. The same process we have done for 3 yrs, now all of a sudden are forwarding a separate entry of blank information which now must be deleted. It turns out that if you have an image in your signature on your email that is what creates the blank entry. SO if you have a logo, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter logo expect a blank entry. Customer Service told us we were doing it wrong. No their rollout was the most stupid thing we have ever worked with.
Different pipeline stages for different jobs makes no sense. You have 1 profile, you can have many jobs associated with that profile, you can have many hiring mangers for that 1 profile, they do not need to be all over the place.

Love using this ATS
Overall, I have always enjoyed using Lever and have appreciated the feature and integrations updates they have continued to make over the years which has definitely improved the ease of use.
Vorteile
I have been a champion for Lever since I began using it over 4 years ago. It's an ideal ATS for small recruiting teams and has helped streamline the recruiting process while being the source of record for candidates. The platform has great integrations with sourcing tools, hiring platforms, and new-hire tools like background checks and HRIS systems. Overall, I have really enjoyed my time using this platform.
Nachteile
The cost can be pretty high for the basic software so I'm some smaller companies or startups would not be able to afford this technology.
I've always struggled with the reporting section. I find it highly confusing and I don't always feel the data is 100% correct. This can be hard as reporting on data in Recruiting is very important, and you want that data to be correct if sharing it with the leadership team or hiring managers.

I don't remember life before Lever!!!
I really don't know how we do it without Lever. This is a tool critical for the entire company. Not only for recruitment and talent acquisition but is a platform that makes relations between teams closer. Lever elevates the quality and impact on every single person evolved with Sword, outside and inside. My favorite tool is the add-on in Google Chrome.

Lever makes it easy to track candidates/resumes
All of my candidates come in via lever, the recruiter screens and I really like it.

The ease of use. I am VERY busy. Being able to review resumes, see what stage viable candidates are in, etc. makes it quick and user-friendly. I don't have time for lengthy reviews or trying to contact other interviewers for feedback on candidates; it's all in here
Nachteile
nothing really other than one drop-down (Strong Hire,Hire, No Hire and strong No) needs another field or not be mandatory (ie. add second opinion needed, Maybe, etc since as managers we all look for different skill sets: someone may feel strongly about a candidate but when meeting at length at a later interview, they demonstrate skills that are terrific for the role)

Lever Changed My Recruiting Game For The Better - There Is NO Reason Not To Make This Your...
Lever has helped build + nurture talent relationships far better than any tool or self-imposed regime. It also helps streamline hiring for teams that are new to interviewing and educate at the same time. I love its ability to track and project manage, especially in multiple ways (analytics, visual staging, etc) and identity strengths/pain points.
Vorteile
Nurture campaigns, the emphasis on candidates vs job, reporting capabilities, and hyper customizable Feedback, Email, Interviews, + staging. Additionally, Customer Experience is beyond excellent. Any support you need, it's there, responsive, solution-oriented, and faster than you can blink.

I don't. I love Lever. I will name my firstborn after this robust product.

Lever - an ok ATS with some flaws
Lever is a good tool for the candidate journey. It is easy to use and helps you move through the recruitment process quickly. However, from a reporting and reliability point of view, there are better systems out there.
Vorteile
Lever is a recruiting tool that is strongest on the candidate side. It makes it easy for candidates to apply for roles, and the internal interview system is decent too, making it pretty easy to collect feedback from hiring managers. It connects with email and calendars well, and there are integrations for other recruiting and HR tools.
Nachteile
If you are looking for a great candidate database or an awesome way to track your reports, Lever is not the tool for you. The platform has reliability issues and terrible reporting functionality that makes it hard to get any meaningful data out of the system at all.

Vorteile
Lever provided us with simple solutions to our problems. Candidate tracking and assessment are indeed easier with Lever. It manages resumes and applications sent. It can also schedule interviews and inform the interviewee through email. It does simple tasks but it works. Lever allowed our team to ease the choosing and categorizing process of applicants. It showed us better choices and the management of possible skills we need for our company. It gave us in-depth chances to filter out the applicant our company needs more.

As we have scaled our hiring, Lever has scaled with us. We can successfully manage 50+ different positions, with different interview structures and employee involvment.
Vorteile
It integrates seamlessly with Gmail and Google calendar, which enables us to successfully schedule interviews and request feedback across the organization.
Nachteile
The search functionality is not always easy. There is a lot of human error involved in tagging candidates and appropriately updating their profiles to ensure we can find them later as needed.

Lever is easy to use, easy to empower hiring teams, and makes the difficultly of finding world-class talent much easier!
Vorteile
Lever allows us to identify, target, reach-out, and keep track of great talent. If you use Lever the right way, it pays off for teams 2, 3, 4+ years down the road. It's a system that keeps on giving. I used lever at Grand Rounds for 4+ years, and we recently implemented at Sendoso.

They haven't integrated with Sendoso, yet.

Lever's great and always improving
Great customer service, very reliable ATS
Vorteile
The tag system, candidate stages, and email templates are excellent. Really all the features are great. I look forward to being able to customize the candidate stages & archive reasons, which is coming soon.
Nachteile
I don't like that candidate stages & archive reasons are currently not customizable. I also hope they keep the legacy reporting tools as well as their new data dashboards, because I find the legacy tools helpful.

CUSTOMER SERVICE: horrible! There is NO phone service available for the customer service team, and that is insane. When asked why... The rep let me know they are "too busy now" to speak on the phone.

One of the best ATS platforms for value and function
Overall it's been great, it's just so easy to use, easy to refer, and it's rarely buggy.
Vorteile
I've used Lever as a hiring manager and as an indivicual contributor, both in sales roles and at Yelp and Gong.io. What I like about the Lever is the friendly UI, search that actually works, and ability to customize work flows for interviewing. Lever makes it easy to refer people as well. There's a lot of ATS options on the market and I've used at least 5 of them now, and have to say Lever is near the top, if not the top. It's not as robust as say a Workday, but it gets the job done.
Nachteile
Since I'm not in recruiting and have never implemented Lever, I'm not sure I can really say what's not to like. I've heard the down side is Lever intergrates with a lot of systems, but there's not much native capabilities to get very customized, but they intergrate with all the platforms that 90% of tech companies use I think.

Lever is the best ATS
Our hiring is much more streamlined; feedback and candidate resumes are centralized.
Vorteile
Lever is phenomenal! As an experienced Recruiter, I've used Lever, Greenhouse, and JazzHR, and Lever is by far my favorite! Lever can be implemented quickly and easily, and is a great price for the value. It's a very intuitive system and easy to use, thus ensuring 100% adoptability amongst employees and interviewers. The scheduling within Lever is easy, Feedback forms are straight forward, and the UI is sleek!
Nachteile
Like all other ATSs on the market, in order to get reporting to give any useful information, all jobs have to have the same stages.

Not enough customization options for hiring managers
While the UI is fairly simple and easy to use, the actual system itself didn't provide enough options for meeting my needs as a Hiring Manager. Even just adding a few more options around permissions and who can access what in the system and for which candidates would make a huge difference.

The UI is clean and straightforward. This definitely helps make navigating the actual system fairly simple and easy to do.
Nachteile
I'm not part of the team that implemented this system, but I was told by them that there weren't many options when it came to hiring manager permissions in the Lever system. This created problems when we grew into multiple tiers of hiring managers on our team and needed certain positions to have one level of access to candidates (that was a bit less than normal) and others to have a bit more. In addition, there seems to be a strange setting that alerts certain hiring managers of comments on certain candidates that have nothing to do with their department. So something seems to be off with the notifications as well.

Vorteile
I have worked with several ATS providers, and Lever stands out to me as the best. The software is easy to navigate for recruiters, hiring managers, and interviewers. The automations and integrations allow our talent acquisition team to recruit and hire very efficiently. Customer support is fast and helpful.
Nachteile
The analytics (for now) are not easy to read and take a lot of time to manipulate to get the data you want.

Quality ATS, though not the most user friendly
Using Lever has been a good experience for our team overall - it's centralized all of our recruiting operations in a single platform, making it easier to track candidates and hire them!
Vorteile
Lever has all of the features you would expect in an ATS - an easy to set up careers page, configurable roles and permissions, feedback forms, customizable steps in the interview process, scheduling, and more.
Nachteile
New team members often find it unintuitive to figure out how to add feedback. I also don't like the lack of formatting options in the feedback text boxes - for example, bullets copied in from a Word or Google Doc are lost, resulting in garbled text.

Better than most, but room for improvement
Vorteile
The amount of information that it pulls into one convenient tab is very helpful to get a snapshot of the candidates you are reviewing for open positions. I really like that it has both the resume as submitted and a simplified version without formatting so you can focus on the key elements that are important for your interview. I also like the review section that gathers feedback from the various people who interview the candidate.
Nachteile
For the price point I think this product as about as competitive as other similarly priced options and needs more to make it stand out. Everything works fine but it navigating the various screens and tabs can get overwhelming when you're looking for specific info. I don't find the search function particularly useful except to search for specific candidates by name.

Pretty good system
Vorteile
It is easy to use and configure. The interface is pretty intuitive and it was easy for hiring managers to use without much training.
Nachteile
I felt there were some tradeoffs on configuration options to increase simplicity and ease of use. One example is that there are only a few basic mail merge tags available for creating for commonly used email templates (like interview confirmations). As a result you have to type in some of the information manually.
