Workable has a great user interface and working in the program is very intuitive. It's links to free job board advertising and rankings in SEO. It's integration with Google suite. They are continuously developing new features for enhanced customer experience and functionality. Very reliable uptime.

Nachteile

Hmm, not much I can think of, but I have noticed that when a job is unarchived for cloning purposes, it appears on the internal referral platform even though it is not published. It can only be removed if the job is archived. This also applies to all other jobs that are unarchived and not published.

Recruitment module very well polished. Fast customer support.

The people administration module requires further development. Additionally, certain features should be included at the same pricing as other Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings. It is unreasonable to incur additional costs for the performance module instance. When we used Sage this was already included in our pack and price fairly.

Vorteile

The support, engineering and product team have an iterative mindset which is needed in product/ SaaS business. In my 18 years of recruitment experience both in house and agencies, i have done more than 20 ATS demo - i really think Workable is great tool!

Nachteile

Its designed for in-house but they are several ways/ alternatives to make it work effectively for agencies. Mobile recruiting is not 100% there. I now run my own recruitment firm - I am always on the go, I need the full version of workable browser on my mobile.

Their browser is slightly laggy even though my wifi is at a very fast speed.

It's such a good system with such amazing customer support that honestly I just wish that it was a full HRIS system instead of just an ATS. I guess if I was being nitpicky I'd make a more robust custom application but honestly it's pretty darn good.

General speed of product evolution could be faster.

A fantastic selection of new products and features keeps me constantly updated. The intuitive interface makes navigation seamless, and the customer support team is always efficient and responsive.

Nachteile

The AI Assistant is still in development. To enhance its accuracy, it needs the capability to analyze resumes thoroughly. Additionally, it should be able to review responses to application form questions for a more comprehensive evaluation.

Workable it's an ATS that allows you to share your candidate information not only internally but also with external stakeholders. if you're an in-house recruiter you can share the process with the hiring managers and manage the entire process with the platform and if you're an external-agency recruiter, the client can give you access so you can manage the cycle and tag the people who's involved in the process.

Sometimes you have to put candidates info manually.

Job Board Integration: We get tons of organic applicants just by posting jobs through Workable. It saves us time and means we don’t have to pay for extra job boards or sourcing tools.

Self-Scheduling: For a team without recruitment coordinators, the self-scheduling tool is a lifesaver. It makes booking interviews so much easier.

AI Sourcing: I’m using AI sourcing more and more. Sometimes the perfect candidate is already sitting in your ATS—you just need to find them!

I’d love the option to export reports in Excel. The current formats, PDF and CSV, aren’t great for analysis, so I end up having to convert them after downloading

The User Interface and Experience is stronger than most of the ATS that I've used. It's highly intuitive with some quirks. My hiring manager's like the ease of use for interviewing and evaluating candidates.The speed of the site and app are also great. I also really like the customization of the careers page.

The migration and implementation were a total disaster. The sales team did not explain that I would have to import 19k files from my previous system into a single Excel document on my own. No help was offered, only finger-pointing at my previous system or an offer to upgrade to a higher monthly subscription. I've had several issues come up where I've reached out to Customer Service and was only provided with 1/2 of the solution. I raised my concerns and was met with zero interest in ensuring that I had a better experience with Workable. I've yet to speak with a person who really seems to care about the customer experience now that I am actually a customer.The "people search" function is cool, but there are only 4 filters, so it's information overload. Using AI to create job descriptions is great, but there's no way to adjust the prompt. If you want to look at the candidate's full profile, you can't do that from within a job, you have to open another screen and look at the candidate in the database, outside of the job. The self-scheduling link has confused several of my candidates. When I raised my concern over this, I was told that if my candidates were too stupid to figure it out, I should use that as a barometer for hiring.Like I said earlier, there are just so many strange quirks that could be easily solved.

Mobile accessibility, integrations with other tools like Slack and Zapier and reporting and analytics is very helpful too! Customer support is also accessible through various channels.

Nachteile

Workable pricing is expensive for smaller businesses, especially if they need to purchase add-ons. there are some integration limitations and limited customizations. Somer automations can make the candidate experience seem robotic. I have ran into some technical issues as well. There is limited language support for non-english speakers and the tool's pricing and bill processes are not easy to understand.

The customizability of everything that Workable has makes the experience for the candidate so smooth. We can find out what information we're looking for right in the application.
Reviewing, sharing, evaluating candidates have never been easier! The timeline tells you all the communication and actions taken with the candidate and the tabs organize the topic so that you can easily see all evaluations at once.
Integration with Outlook/Microsoft 365 has made my workflow so smooth as well.
Customer support is also SO helpful whenever I have a question, I know someone will be able to help me with it.

Nachteile

There are a few features I wish Workable had.
1. while we are able to have the candidate's first name and last name, there is no placeholder for preferred names (Johnathan Smith's first name will always be Johnathan unless we manually type "John" or something else.)

2. A place where we can send a link to a sourced candidate's application instead of creating a separate google doc with their information or filling out the application on their behalf. ICIMS has a way to send a personalized link and login to candidates to see their application + fill in blanks.

It needs a better candidate tracking method. If a person applies to more than one job or to a job more than once - there is no feature to consolidate the candidate information. You spend a lot of time clicking between screens to figure out previous interactions. The customer service was hands down the absolute worst I have ever seen. Any time I had an issue - I would be told that it was my fault and there was nothing they could do - specifically from one IT tech over and over. I finally requested to deal with someone else and that helped somewhat.When it was time to renew, we were reassured that the price would not be changing - there would be no increase in the annual bill (monthly payments are not an option). Then we were sent the invoice - with an additional $1300 on it. What? I asked out rep what the deal was and got completely blown off. I was told it was a charge that they added every year. I asked her about her promise that the bill was the same and was told yes and we added the extra charge - we do that to everyone. What?! Then she stopped answering my emails and calls. Needless to say - we will be changing at the end of our contract this year.

The plugin that allows us to connect it to our social network account is really cool. I've always loved how simple it is to interact with vendors and link them with teams. I also like the email alerts that notify me when someone evaluates a candidate.

It does not allow to modify the questions once candidates started applying. We can not include more than one location in a job posting. While sending rejections, we can not distinguish between those that have been sent and those that have not.

I haven't fount a feature that I like the least. It is pretty simple to use and allows us to have access to a vast amount of people that we would not generally reach with just our website.

We found that to integrate with our HR system, we couldn't get certain aspect to work they way we wanted (eg hire date/start date was pulled as the date they were offered).

In the end we disconnected the systems from each other. Hopefully future releases will solve this issue.
